Rugged Outdoor Gaming Units, Etc (aka <a href="http://www.ruggedoutdoorgaming.com/">ROGUE</a>) is looking to service our armed forces with rugged all-in-one gaming devices. The goal? "To provide every every big kid with entertainment no matter where his travels take him." The product? The Staff Sergeant PeliStation, available beginning the spring of next year.<br />
<br />
Priced at $1750, the PeliStation includes a 1080p 22" HD display, built-in PS3, a surge protector and four network outputs. "With a weight of just 35 lbs., this complete setup is easy to carry whether you're going on a weekend camping trip or year-long deployment to the desert," the product description adds. While a feat of engineering, we can't help but wonder if the rumored <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/08/psp2-rumor-points-to-ps3-ports-early-ps3-level-graphics/">PSP2</a> would better serve this purpose?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/22/rugged-outdoor-gaming-units-etc-making-ps3s-for-the-harshest-o/">Rugged Outdoor Gaming Units, Etc making PS3s for the 'harshest of conditions'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 22 Dec 2010 07:00:00 EST. Today is one of the highest holy days in the world of Azeroth -- yes, that's right, it's Patch Day! <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/tag/patch-2.4">Patch 2.4</a> is now coming to the live servers (they supposedly came back up at 11:00 a.m. PST), and WoW Insider has <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/patch-2-4-sunwell/">every square inch of the patch notes</a> covered like a quilt, from <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/03/25/sunwell-isle-world-quest-walkthrough/">the brand new Sunwell Isle zone</a> to all <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/02/12/fishing-in-2-4-daily-quests-and-more/">the new daily quests</a>, and class information for everyone out there. It's time for patch 2.4 (the last big content patch before <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/category/wrath-of-the-lich-king">the expansion</a>), and if you want to know about it, we can tell you.<br />

Gaming site JeuxFrance recently got their hands on a teaser video from the Wii-bound <em>Chocobo's Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time</em>. The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/23/roguelike-magazine-launches-focuses-on-game-aethetics/">roguelike</a> dungeon crawler is packed with our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/20/final-fantasy-fables-chocobo-tales-fluttering-to-north-americ/">feathery friends</a> from the <em>Final Fantasy</em> series and looks as if it will continue the same game style as the PlayStation titles. Among the obligatory cut-scene-laden clips are a few seconds of gameplay, but no hint regarding Wii remote functionality. The video also raises an important question: "How many different ways can the chocobo theme be remixed before it gets old?".<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/12/new-video-from-chocobos-dungeon-wii/">New video from Chocobo's Dungeon Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 12 Jun 2007 11:29:00 EST. Call it a <em>retro-speculative.</em> </p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><em>Arkista's Ring </em><span style="font-style: normal;">is an action/adventure/puzzle game about an elf girl who battles giant scorpions, orcs, and forest-dwelling <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja">ninja</a> in a labyrinth-like forest, all displayed in the charming square-tile graphical style popular with games like <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/zelda">Zelda</a>.</em> It was released for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/nes">NES</a> in 1990, published by American Sammy. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sammy">Sammy</a> now owns <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sega">Sega</a>, and Sega and Nintendo are newly in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/28/nintendo-and-sega-execs-talk-about-sonic-and-mario-at-the-olympi/">love</a>. So today's game is kind of timely, in an oblique way. Also it's fun to play and stuff.</span></p><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/virtually-overlooked-arkistas-ring/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Virtually Overlooked: Arkista's Ring</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/virtually-overlooked-arkistas-ring/">Virtually Overlooked: Arkista's Ring</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Mar 2007 18:23:00 EST. Anderson's <em>Castlevania</em> adaptation. Rogue will handle distribution in North American, the U.K., Spain and German-speaking territories. Crystal Sky, co-financers of the (not-so-low-budget) $50 million project, will be responsible for distribution throughout the rest of the world.<br /><br />Anderson is currently scouting out shooting locales in Hungary and Romania for his <em>Blade</em>-meets-<em>Highlander</em> epic. Dracula's castle will be re-imagined in some back lot in Budapest. Shooting starts this spring. Drink your holy water and keep your crosses crossed.<br /><br />[Thanks, Dave]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/02/castlevania-film-gets-rogue-distributor/">Castlevania film gets Rogue distributor</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Nov 2006 21:15:00 EST.
