Anyone can download the theme song after tweeting the link or sharing it on Facebook through the service Pay with a Tweet. Or, you can wait until Friday, June 1, to download the entire soundtrack from Bandcamp, from artist Sonic Picnic.

Now that the complete soundtrack has been released, though, we're feeling a little more confident about hitting the asphalt goofy-style once more.

The complete track list can be found after the break, and we're glad to say that "Superman" by Goldfinger and "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 are both present and accounted for. The new replacement tracks include stylistically appropriate songs such as "Flyentology" by hip-hop artist El-P (featuring Trent Reznor). El-P once featured on the Del the Funky Homosapien track "Offspring," and Del's song "If You Must" was on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 soundtrack. If we're playing by Six Degrees of Separation rules, we can call that a winner.

The soundtrack comes from Health - the band, not the state of being that comes from eating right and exercising. Health is an LA-based collective formed in 2006. "Health have created hundreds of hours of amazing music for the game's score, and distilled it into a devastatingly moody and atmospheric soundtrack album," says Rockstar's soundtrack supervisor, Ivan Pavlovich. "By using a band instead of a traditional composer, we've created a soundtrack that sounds completely unique."

Max Payne 3 launches on May 15 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

The Q.U.B.E. soundtrack is set to drop May 4 on iTunes, Amazon and Steam for $5.99, and it includes 30 of the game's original songs and 10 bonus tracks from mixologists Ben Chandler, Felix Zirwes, Steve Dunne and Project Static.

A collector's edition of Q.U.B.E. is hitting Germany, Austria and Switzerland this summer, published by Headup Games and featuring "special extras," including the soundtrack. The above trailer shows off a wubby version of Q.U.B.E.'s otherwise ambient, electronic soundtrack, perhaps in an attempt to capture the more terrifying, frustrating or seizure-inducing moments of the game.

It's fitting that he should be tapped for the soundtrack to Konami's next horror-themed game, Silent Hill: Book of Memories.

Licht is doing a live show in LA this June, where he'll belt out a few samples from the Book of Memories soundtrack. He'll be joined by vocalist Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, who also is featured on the Silent Hill: Book of Memories soundtrack. Tickets are on sale now for the June 10 show, which takes place at the Largo at the Coronot Theatre.

Previously, that honor was held by Sucker Punch's Infamous 2: Festival of Blood.

"We thank you so much for your support, for spending time and money to play our game and for spreading the word about Journey to your dear friends and family," said thatgamecompany co-founder Jenova Chen in a post on the PlayStation Blog. "We have received more letters from fans in the two weeks since Journey's launch than we did for Flower over the past three years!"

Chen also announced that Journey's brilliant score (composed by Austin Wintory) will be available on the PS Store and iTunes come April 10, with a "limited" CD release to follow shortly after.

It'll feature electronic music prominently, including some of the more well-known artists out there right now like Skrillex and The Crystal Method. The kids tell us these are "hot acts."

Skrillex's "Kill Everybody" and "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites" will be in the game, joined by other lesser-known contributions from artists Scratch Perverts, Unknown Error, OVERSEER, RuN RiOT, Ever Never and, as stated, The Crystal Method. Also, series fans will be glad to hear that Hiroshi Okubo, who has been rocking the radio dials for the past 18 years, will contribute several new tunes created exclusively for Ridge Racer Unbounded.

Namco-Bandai recently pushed back the launch of Ridge Racer Unbounded, which now has a tentative "late 2012" launch window.

Before Swedish megastudio Grin collapsed back in aught nine, it was juggling a trillion different projects for a trillion different publishers. One such project that never saw the light of day was a Final Fantasy franchise entry titled "Fortress," which we got a peek at not long after we learned of Grin's closure. And now we're able to hear some music sampled from the game as well, as former music director Erik Thunberg dropped one such track on his portfolio website.

So, uh, you may wanna line up these shots of the game with the music playing in another tab, to try and recreate the feeling of the Western-born Final Fantasy game that never was. Hold that Chocobo plushie extra tight.

Not only is it Skrillex, but it's our favorite song from his first EP: "Scatta," which features sick verses by Foreign Beggars and a drop so heavy that it may cause a few avalanches of its own. A new version of Run-DMC's "It's Tricky" also returns for old time's sake, remixed by soundtrack compatriots Pretty Lights, as well as cuts from DJ Shadow and a Lateef the Truthspeaker joint featuring Hiero-hero Del the Funky Homosapien.

Available next week, on February 2, the main game will include the "Encore" DLC expansion, and the full chemically augmented soundtrack by Baiyon will be sold separately [Ed. note: Finally!]. The regular price will be $10 for the game and $6 for the (17 song) soundtrack, but both items will be discounted 20 percent for a limited time after launch.

"Lots of stuff is new - the main cool feature is that your Grimp (the little character you control) now has the ability to warp back to his last resting position!" Q-Games' Dylan Cuthbert said of added features in the Steam version. "It uses a little bit of your energy but if you're careful you no longer have to worry about missing an important jump - fall too far, just hit space and warp back."

Well, it looks like we weren't the only people impressed by his work: Super Meat Boy's composer, Danny Baranowsky, has been working with Kennedy for nearly a year, and the two have recently released the fruits of their labors on Baranowsky's Bandcamp profile.

Super Meat Boy! - Choice Piano Cuts is a $4.99 (or more, if you're feeling generous) collection of 10 tracks from the SMB soundtrack, composed by Baranowsky and arranged/performed by Kennedy. The purchase also includes a PDF of the Kennedy's sheet music for the entire album, which in itself is well worth the price of admission for the musically inclined out there.

The soundtrack's original arrangements are great and everything, don't get us wrong, but there's a deeper level to Baranowsky's skill as a composer that's exceptionally brought to life by Kennedy's mastery of the ivory keys. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.

But then, a concern popped into our brain: would our beloved soundtracks from Tony Hawk Pro Skater and its sequel return? Is that a realistic expectation? According to the One of Swords blog, "probably not."

"Right now, everything is unknown, and there's a lot more work to do before things are final," says Activision's Dan Amrich. He posits a few different scenarios, where the developers could chase licensing on these original tracks or simply license brand-new ones. If you're looking for all of your old favorites, you may end up disappointed.

We're not sure how long it'll be available, but said page says to look for the full soundtrack in January or February 2012. We've contacted Brian Provinciano, the game's creator, who told us that these tracks will be available indefinitely. The full soundtrack is being printed right now, but you'll have to (obviously) pay money for it.

The pre-order soundtrack was nice, but incomplete; this disc will have all 21 tracks, including "Shadows of the Damned," performed with The Damned.

In addition, GHM will release a guide book called "Kurayami Magazine," named after an earlier iteration of the game. It features a long interview with Suda 51 and original character designs.

Both items are listed on the Japanese GHM store website, with the soundtrack available tomorrow and the book on September 9. Neither has been posted on the American store yet, and we're asking-slash-begging Grasshopper for more information.

Update: GHM is selling the soundtrack on its international site now, limited to 1,000 copies. The first 300 will be signed by Akira Yamaoka!

When the zombie apocalypse strikes, it will be of utmost importance you set the appropriate mood, and thankfully composer Pawel Blaszczak knows exactly how to do that. Blaszczak wrote the spine-tingling soundtrack to Dead Island, and he's now sharing a few tracks so we can prep our survival kits accordingly.

You'll want a melee weapon -- baseball bat, crowbar or frying pan -- for the slow walk down a deserted hallway at the 20-second mark of "Surrounded by Zombies," and a well-stocked crossbow for the panicked rhythms in "Zombie Rising." The "Main Theme" will play when you awake from a coma, exit the shower or begin walking to work to find the world overrun with the undead. Because that's how this stuff works, even on islands.

Bastion will be available as a $14.99 download on Steam August 16, one day before From Dust debuts on the platform. You're getting two Summer of Arcade goodies in one week!

Additionally, we'd like to point out that the Bastion soundtrack is currently available as a $10 download, replete with a new narration intro and bonus track, "The Pantheon (Ain't Gonna Catch You)." If you're looking for an actual physical disc, maybe to clutch against your bosom tightly as you fall asleep at night -- hey, no judgment here -- then you can shell out $15. The actual CD comes in a custom wallet, featuring original art by Jen Zee and (optionally) signed by composer Darren Korb.

If you're really distrustful of your mail man (or don't want to wait until September when the disc ships), you can snag the album at PAX Prime in Seattle at the end of the month. Before you go diving into those beautiful tunes, take some of our advice: the songs are definitely best heard first in-game.

And now that Japanese version is being joined by an enormous soundtrack collection ... that will almost certainly never be released outside of Japan.

The ¥4,800 ($62) soundtrack comprises an impressive four discs and 177 tracks, including all the music from Minna no Rhythm Tengoku ("Everybody's Rhythm Heaven," the Japanese title for the game) and the two previous games. It'll be out -- in Japan -- on August 24.

But for The King of Fighters XIII, Atlus has gone beyond its normal initiative, bundling a four-disc soundtrack with pre-orders from "participating retailers" including Amazon and GameStop.

The soundtrack is a collection of music from throughout the whole King of Fighters series. Dare we hope for "Allegory of the Wind," the slow, pensive song by the blue flame-wielding Iori Yagami, from the KOF '97 Arranged Soundtrack? Whatever's on there, there will be hours of it.
