Capcom offered a few photos and details about the statue, which you can view in the gallery below.

The collectible character stands at 10 inches tall, and is made by Multiverse Studios. It features USB-powered LED lights on the statue's base as well as Mega Man's helmet and arm cannon. Capcom hasn't said exactly how many will be produced, but there will be under 2,000 of them made. It will go on sale exclusively at San Diego Comic Con in July.

There are only 350 of these bad boys, and they cost $235 each. They'll be available in Q3 2013, though pre-orders start today.

At £30 more for freakin' night vision goggles, a statue (albeit a nice one) might be a hard sell for those already investing more than double the cost of the game. If you're gonna go crazy, why not just go all the way crazy?

Although we regard this golden statue of Link and Epona as tacky, we're clearly in a minority. Despite being the most expensive item ever in the European Club Nintendo shop (15,000 Star Points, thank you), it sold out in the blink of a Goron's eye.

How rare is this, exactly? Our guess: pretty damn rare. We've never seen one on eBay. But now it's back in stock, chintzier than ever, and ready for some lucky collectors to swipe. It's still 15,000 Star Points, and we suspect this latest batch will go quickly, so long as somebody out there has resisted splurging their Star Points on Wii Points.

How about you, North Americans? Would something like this catch your eye when Club Nintendo launches in your neck of the woods later this year?

A 7'10" (2.38 meter) tall "Brotherhood of Steel" statue is currently on auction at the Sam's Club site. The bidding for the 121 lbs. (54.9 kilo) monster will end on Nov. 11 at 6:30PM Pacific, or on Judgment Day, whichever comes first.

Best of luck to the bidders, and don't forget to check your respective shipping charges (that's where the hidden costs are). Having this in the front yard would surely beat your neighbor's garden gnome.

Character design and concept art are two areas in which Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars excels, and the free gifts for those who preorder the game use both extensively.

First 4 Figures has come back around full circle, after completing Sheik and Sonic and his pals, now they've got yet another Samus statue. This one, in our opinion, totally trumps all of their past efforts. Just look at the thing.

Of course, the catch is that this costs a bunch of money. $224.99 in money, to be exact. For those of you with a winning lottery ticket, this goes on sale Q1 of next year.

First reason to be hyped about Shiren the Wanderer: The Sleeping Princess in the Clockwork Palace's release, even though no one has announced a U.S. localization yet -- Famitsu's review score: 35/40 (9 / 9 / 8 / 9). Though many consider Famitsu to be too forgiving with its reviews for highly advertised, big-budget games, the Shiren series doesn't seem to fit that description. For such a niche game to receive a high score like this, Chunsoft must have done something right!

Second reason -- See Asuka model pictured above (and past the break). We're not the type to leave figures of female anime characters posed around our rooms, giving women even more reason to run away from the mess we've made of our lives, but as we demonstrated with the Koppa remote stand preorder bonus, we have a weakness to Shiren merchandise.

As for our third reason, swing your sword to check for traps, and step past the break for a new Shiren 3 commercial. It features a collection of player deaths set to Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 -- what's not to like?

For those of you who're fans of the Sonic of yesteryear (you know, back when he was limited to 16-bit romps and what we consider to be his best game, Sonic CD), you'll be happy to hear that First4Figures is working on a Sonic statue to end all Sonic statues. Modeled after the original Sonic, this statue will likely be at the top of any diehard's wish list.

Following up their previous Metroid Prime Hunters statues, they'll be working on these until completion in July of this year, when you'll be able to get your hands on Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. No word as of now on price, though.

This item up for auction on eBay is purportedly a cast of a Nintendo reference model for Mario, used to make sure that all depictions of the character are consistent. However it looks slightly off-model to us. Mario's appearance has changed many times over the years, and this piece doesn't quite seem consistent with any of them.
If this is really what the seller says it is, it's an amazing and unique collectible that represents an ideal Mario. If not, it's ... actually still a pretty neat Mario statue, though it has a busted arm. That would probably be easy enough to fix.

Also found on GameSniped today: a cotton candy machine made by a pre-video-game Nintendo.

You know what's missing from your living room? A glistening four-foot statue of Mario with eyes that will follow you everywhere that you go. Note that we're putting this in your living room? That's because, as much as we like Mario, we're not sure we'd want it in ours. Collectibles are great and all, and we're big fans, but crazy price aside ... we're just not sure this particular treasure is for us.

He's got his eyes on you. And he's just so cheerful. Well, that's eight hundred dollars saved!

Nobody stepped up when we exhorted you to buy us a huge Mario statue. We sit here, lonely, in our sparse, desolate office, yearning for an inanimate mascot character to talk to. But we're all lucky that you didn't go to such an expense for us, because we like this Fire Mario one better.

The red-and-white Fire Mario statue comes in at the same 50 cm height as (the smaller iteration of) its predecessor, but in a more powerful outfit. Unlike the ridiculously huge 150 cm statue, this more modest giant Mario statue comes in at a reasonable $215. So, anyone in the market for a, uh, big cartoon person?

As we all know, Madame Tussauds isn't into real men, she likes them completely waxed. Godfree over at GameTagRadio received the photo above, which comes from a listener who apparently snapped it while taking a tour of Madame Tussauds wax museum in London, showing what appears to be Master Chief in development.

It definitely looks like the Master Chief, but for the sake of Cortana, the spy couldn't angle the camera up a couple more degrees and get the head? It looks like a bad fuzzy pic on an internet "dating" site. If it is the Master Chief, we're sure there'll be an announcement very soon -- only a couple more weeks before the fight is finished.

As we prepare to enter BioShock's city of Rapture on Aug. 21, we now get to view the final version of the Big Daddy figurine which will be bundled with the limited edition version of the game. The figurine looks pretty cool and the limited edition is only $10 more ($69.99) than the normal game -- seems totally worth it for the six-inch hand-painted resin statue.

It's neat to see the evolution of the figurine. The prototype looked good, but this looks like something we'd really like to have keeping watch over our Xbox 360. Now we just need a little sister hugging his leg.

First 4 Figures have released another well-sculpted, detailed figurine of a Nintendo character. The new figure is the fourth entry in their series of N64-era Zelda characters, focusing on the mysterious, much-cooler-than-Link Sheik.

Sheik stands about 9" tall and is in scale with the other figurines in the series. It will cost $109.99 and can be reserved now for shipping in the fall.

Ocarina of Time is great, but we really want to get these figures to set up our own trophy table like the one in Super Smash Brothers Melee. But for $100+ each, we aren't sure if we could bring ourselves to make them fight.

Since we're not sure when Super Smash Bros. Brawl is scheduled to assault us, it's hard to say with any certainty that the above Zero Suit Samus statue -- designed by the prolific folks at First4Figures -- will be ready in time for its launch. With a Q3 '07 release date for the statue, it seems likely that you'll be able to have one before Brawl drops featuring the very same Zero Suit Samus as a playable character. So, why all the concern about getting the statue first? We see it a couple different ways. First: what better way to reward the household's (world's?) reigning Super Smash Bros. champion than to bestow upon them a large (and, at $110, rather extravagant) statue? Oh, and second: you can always practice your moves by getting one of those Metal Gear Solid 4 Snake statues and forcing them to fight to the death ... after making them kiss ... like you weren't thinking that anyways.

Nintendo of Canada is having a contest between now and Jan. 31, the grand prize is a "limited edition life-size collectible statue of the character Link from the Legend of Zelda." Approx. value is $500 CDN ($425 USD). Three second prize winners get a Link "statuette."

Here's a weak part for the grand winner: "Delivery charges are the sole responsibility of each winner." So, not only do you have to win Link, but you've got to ship his "life-size" self. No details on Link's height or weight. We wish there was a bigger photo to show, but that's all we've got. Beware the pointy ears though, you'll poke your eye out.

First4Figures is back again, with another collectible statue based on the ever-so-popular Nintendo franchises of our youth. This time it's not the growth-hormone abusing Fierce Deity Link or the creepy Skull Kid, but the hunky all-AmericanHylian Ocarina of Time Link, adult version. Like the rest of F4F's offerings, this one doesn't come cheap. These aren't action figures you're going to be playing with, but collectible statues you're supposed to display. Think of it more like the collectible statues in Wind Waker, except you don't need to take pictures of people to get them ... and you don't have to find a sculptor's hidden underground lair.

There are two kinds of gamers in this world: those who favor Ocarina of Time and those who prefer Majora's Mask. Sure, the latter is a much smaller group -- easily dwarfed by Ocarina fans waving its 40/40 score in Famitsu magazine ("the first game to do so," they helpfully remind you) -- but First 4 Figures sent word that Majora's Fierce Deity Link would be the first in their lineup of Legend of Zelda figurines, undoubtedly beating out the much anticipated Ocarina Ingo figurine. At 14.5" tall, and $130, this thing is collectors only, we're afraid. Wouldn't want you recreating the epic showdown with Majora and busting your sword, y'know?

Randall wasn't the only Joystiq special correspondent to get his virtual Spore creation brought kicking and screaming into physical space. C.K. received his figurine and managed to throw 65 images onto his Flickr account. He writes:

"I designed a Spore creature while I was at E3, and the nice people at EA were kind enough to make it into a little 3-D figurine like the ones they had sitting around their booth and ship it to me. It has two heads, one bird-like and the other more like a moose, with large fighting arms."

Three readers also tipped us off to three separate works discussing the future availability of mail-order Spore creatures. Clayton sent in a link to a Discover Magazine article that reveals, "In Spore, a player can animate any creature imaginable; for a fee, it can be made into a three-dimensional reality." For a fee, eh?

Darius pointed us to Next Generation, who speculate "it is likely that a model-making service (which will probably require payment) will be available when the game appears." So don't be jealous. If the stars align just so, we'll all have our very own Spore figurines come Q2 2007.

Matt noted the following paragraph while readingThe Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More by Wired Magazine's Chris Anderson: "Will Wright, the legendary video-game designer, is putting the finishing touches on his next game, Spore. In it, you'll be able to evolve your own creature, imbuing it with traits and characteristics of your own design. If you like your work, you'll be able to upload your creation to the Spore servers. And then, for about $20, you can have it 3D printed onto a real action figure - colors, texture, and all. Each one is unique and will show up at your front door in a week or two." This is the first time we're seeing a price ... and $20 sounds reasonable to us. Does that include shipping, guys?

Some Joystiq readers will no doubt be jealous when we remind them of how Joystiq special correspondent Randall Bennett got to play Spore behind closed doors at E3. And again when he got to see Robin Williams crack jokes while making his own creature at that Wired party.

Well, our jealousy was rekindled when, after some months, Randall's friendly neighborhood UPS guy rang his bell to deliver a Spore figurine identical to the character he had designed at E3. They should definitely have a service so consumers can order their own custom figurine. More pics after the break.

We've been spending most of our free time feeding this dog radioactive kibble in a poorly thought out plan to make him 100 feet tall. Every night, we lay out an oversized bowl, filled to the brim with a dangerous concoction of kibble laced with some radioactive waste that Ludwig found out back. Every night the dog eats it and every morning he's the same size. Not sure that radioactive waste is radioactive at all. On to Plan B:

We'll instead focus our efforts on shrinking ourselves and then ascend this 195mm (that's about 7.7", yanks) Shadow of the Colossus figurine and plunge our (now shrunken) swords into its dense resin exterior. 'Course we'll need to order the thing from Japan first and, at ,290 (that's about $90, everyone), it's not coming cheap. Compared to the rough numbers we've been putting together, it's the shrinking machine and not the figurine that's going to set us back.
