Well, at least we can say that the game isn't scheduled for release anywhere until spring of next year, which means these screens are probably far from final. When last we checked in on the follow-up to the 'Cube's <em>Tales of Symphonia</em>, things were <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/30/take-a-peek-at-knights-of-ratatoskr/">looking pretty nice</a>. These latest battle screens, however ... let's just say they're looking a little <em>geometric</em>. Still, with months yet to go, we can only hope for a sharper, crisper take on the first game's <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/rpg/talesofphantasia/images.html?om_act=convert&amp;om_clk=gsimage&amp;tag=images;img;2">action</a>. After all, there's an entire extra GameCube <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/07/spore-developer-rants-on-wii/">taped on there</a>!<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/06/knights-of-ratatoskr-battle-screens/">Knights of Ratatoskr battle screens</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 06 Aug 2007 15:00:00 EST. Informative tidbits on Namco Bandai's upcoming <em>Tales</em> game, <em>Knights of Ratatoskr</em>, may be few and far between, but we do have some nice new screens from the official site to tide us over. The sequel to <em>Tales of Symphonia</em> is currently slated for release next spring in Japan, so it'll likely be late fall before we start to hear more. Time can't pass quickly enough!<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2007/07/30/tales-of-symphonia-knights-of-ratatoskr-screens/">Siliconera</a>]<br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/30/take-a-peek-at-knights-of-ratatoskr/">Take a peek at Knights of Ratatoskr</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 30 Jul 2007 15:50:00 EST. The included Babelfish link reveals that <em>Famitsu</em> rated the game only average (28/40) and basically indicated that it's only a bare step above "steaming pile of crap" on the funometer, citing clunky, polygon-rich graphics, poor AI, and uninspired gameplay. Well. Anyone need to borrow a pen to scratch this one <em>off</em> their list?<br /><br />We've included a few of the screens after the jump so that you could judge for yourself, at least so far as the graphics go. The look is similar to <em>Final Fantasy III</em> but does appear to be a little more jagged and not quite as polished.<br /><br />Fun fact: Babelfish translated the title to <em>Bruise of the Tempest</em>. That's good for at least one quick el-oh-el moment.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/20/look-into-the-tempest/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Look into the Tempest</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/20/look-into-the-tempest/">Look into the Tempest</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 Oct 2006 15:31:00 EST. Hopefully, the upcoming original PSP <em>Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology</em> won't meet the same fate. Like previous <em>Tales of the World</em> games, the game will feature characters from other <em>Tales</em> games, like fan-favorite <em>Tales of Symphonia</em>. The battle system is ripped from <em>Tales of the Abyss</em>, and lets you control up to four characters per team.<br /><br />Look at <a href="http://www.jeux-france.com/news17184_tales-of-the-world-se-presente.html">the screenshots</a>, and try to tell me this game doesn't warrant a US release. C'mon, Bandai Namco: get your act together. I want to get <em>Tales of the World</em> (and <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2006/01/25/a-tales-of-the-tempest-preview/"><em>Tales of the Tempest</em></a>) ASAP!<br /><br />[Thanks daniel-kun!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/28/tales-of-the-world-screens-look-radiant/">Tales of the World screens look radiant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 28 Aug 2006 15:15:00 EST.
