<div align="left">The doors are open, and yet instead of going in and playing all of these games we've been hearing so much about, we went ahead and took a walk around the show floor with a camera just for you readers (imagine the willpower!). So yes, even though you may be at home or work, and even though you may be disappointed that you can't come out to Los Angeles and visit the E3 floor, at least you can do it vicariously through the gallery below. Enjoy.<br /><br />And oh yes: remember when <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/23/latest-e3-2009-exhibitor-list-revealed-twice-the-size-of-last-y/">they said it'd be bigger</a> this year? They were right. The booth babes, we report completely objectively, are back.</div>

Nintendo announced today that the game will be in stores on May 26, which is <em>next Tuesday</em>. We figure that if had sneaked up on us, it may have eluded your attention as well.<br /><br />Three reasons you <em>may</em> be interested in <em>Personal Trainer: Walking</em>.<br />
<ol>
    <li>It's the first DS game that allows you to use Miis, either created in-game or imported from the Wii.</li>
    <li>Gadgets! <em>Walking</em> includes two pedometers that wirelessly transmit your step numbers into the game. Also, according to the <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/home/permalink/?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20090520005381&amp;newsLang=en">press release</a>, you can attach one to a dog's collar and tabulate the <em>dog's</em> exercise habits.</li>
    <li>Maybe you like walking. We don't know.</li>

This data goes to Nintendo for use in step count leaderboards. You can compete to top the charts like in many other online games, except the competitive activity here is <em>exercise.</em><br /><br />Does the idea appeal to you? Do you think vying for the top spot on a leaderboard will inspire you to walk more? Or are you <em>extra awesome</em> at walking and looking forward to the chance to show that off with numbers?<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/">Aruite Wakaru Seikatsu Rhythm DS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223279"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215008_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223278"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215007_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223277"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215006_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223276"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223275"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Screens via <a href="http://wiiz.fr/article.php?a=21398">Wiiz</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/15/ds-daily-walk-with-everyone/">DS Daily: Walk with Everyone</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 15 Dec 2008 09:00:00 EST. As it turns out, this game, which will <em>probably</em> be somewhat of a flagship product for Nintendo, is being developed by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creatures_Inc.">Creatures, Inc.</a>, codevelopers of the <em>Pok&eacute;mon </em>games, as well as the first two <em>Mother</em> games, and current home of <em>Metroid</em> and <em>Kid Icarus</em> composer Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka (he's the president!)<br /><br /><em>Personal Trainer</em> can record walking data and generate all kinds of stats for four participants, which it does at the end of the day. However, it only includes two pedometers. Extras will be available for 1,800 yen ($17.71).<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/">Aruite Wakaru Seikatsu Rhythm DS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223279"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215008_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223278"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215007_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223277"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215006_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223276"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/aruite-wakaru-seikatsu-rhythm-ds/#1223275"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/walking1215004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/21/stroll-through-some-personal-trainer-walking-screens/">Stroll through some Personal Trainer: Walking screens</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 21 Oct 2008 11:00:00 EST. Well, instead of being something tied to a Wii game, as many thought, it's tied to a DS title instead. During the video presentation showing off upcoming DS titles, the image to the right was shown. <br /><br />We're having a hard time translating the name, so we're just going to call it <em>Lifestyle Rhythm DS</em> for the moment. The problem with nongames is that it's impossible to build hype for something that is used <em>just</em> for looking at a map of France, or teaching yourself <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/yoga">yoga</a>, even if the software in question is extremely well-designed.<br /><br />These screens answer the biggest question we had about the series: how could a game about <em>listening to classical music</em> possibly fill two screens meaningfully? The answer: dog animations and quizzing you on your feelings about the music.<br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/06/ds-style-details-emerge-screenshot-style/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>DS Style details emerge-- screenshot-style</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/06/ds-style-details-emerge-screenshot-style/">DS Style details emerge-- screenshot-style</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Apr 2007 13:00:00 EST. In addition to showing off some of the exercise routines used in the game, Duke talked about his success with exercise books and DVD's. He said (within the context of a press event promoting this particular product) that the DS software is superior because it's more like one-to-one training. The president of developer Dorasu also gave a presentation, indicating that <em>Walking Navi</em> is only the first of six health games planned.<br /><br />Check after the break for two new screenshots. We've also included our favorite picture from the event, where Duke proves how strong his walk-fu is by teaching reporters about walking <em>while they're sitting down at their desks.</em><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/hilarious-press-event-promotes-hilarious-walking-game/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hilarious press event promotes hilarious walking "game"</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/hilarious-press-event-promotes-hilarious-walking-game/">Hilarious press event promotes hilarious walking "game"</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Mar 2007 18:20:00 EST.
