It's also difficult to tell whether this RAY model is the manned version created by the Marines, or the unmanned mass-produced model designed by the Patriots. Either way, we desperately want these things adorning our various fireplace mantels as soon as humanly possible. Check out high-resolution shots of all three statues in the gallery below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/">ReVenture Statue Prototypes</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992776"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/metalgearrayprototypefigure_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992777"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/portal2prototypefigures_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/29/threea-toys-unveils-prototype-portal-2-and-metal-gear-solid-2-st/">ThreeA Toys unveils prototype Portal 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2 statuettes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 29 Apr 2012 22:00:00 EST. The line is segregated into regular and "deluxe" figures; the five regular figures (Batman, Ra's Al Ghul, Azrael, a Clown Thug and The Penguin) will find their way to comic shops and toy stores this September.<br /><br />Two of the deluxe figures, Mr. Freeze and Killer Croc, will launch this June, while Titan Joker -- everyone's least favorite part of <em>Arkham Asylum</em> -- won't be available until November. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dc-comics-arkham-asylum-city-action-figures/">DC Comics Arkham Asylum/City action figures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dc-comics-arkham-asylum-city-action-figures/#4776342"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/batsfigures2_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dc-comics-arkham-asylum-city-action-figures/#4776343"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/batsfigures1_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/26/arkham-action-figure-line-includes-titan-joker-killer-croc-and/">Arkham action figure line includes Titan Joker, Killer Croc and the Bats</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Jan 2012 02:00:00 EST. The new Figma Samus Aran action figure, due out in Japan this June, easily earns a rating of "thumbs up" by our standards. The 150mm (roughly 6") figure, modeled on Samus's appearance in <em>Metroid: Other M</em>, includes a base, two "beam effect" accessories, five alternate hands, and even a Morph Ball version of Samus.<br /><br />If you have a shelf you'd like to keep Space Pirate-free, you can pre-order your own mini-Samus from toy importer <a href="http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIG-IPN-3175">AmiAmi</a> for around $36. While you're at it, you can also pre-order this less posable, less clothed <a href="http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIG-IPN-3176&amp;page=">Zero Suit Samus</a> statuette. If you're into that kinda thing, that is.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/24/samus-morphs-into-an-incredible-action-figure/">Samus morphs into an incredible action figure</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Jan 2012 20:30:00 EST. Another platoon of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/halo-reach"><em>Halo: Reach</em></a> action figures from McFarlane Toys is set to be deployed to a toy store near you. Microsoft has revealed the Series 6 figurines, which include new individual Carded Figures and Deluxe Boxed Sets, will be available in February 2012.<br />
<br />
New individual figures include Noble Team members Kat and Jun, an Elite Zealot, Brute Major and the Team Objectives set seen above. Finally, Kat can live forever in both our hearts <em>and</em> our toy display case!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/mcfarlanes-sixth-halo-reach-action-figure-series-drops-in-febr/">McFarlane's sixth Halo: Reach action figure series drops in February</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Dec 2011 23:00:00 EST. You know who we'd like to see featured in the hit television program Dirty Jobs? The guy who's responsible for making this <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/left-4-dead"><em>Left 4 Dead</em></a> Boomer action figure. Just think: Some poor soul at <a href="http://necaonline.com/33120/blog/news-and-announcements/valves-left-4-dead-boomer-1st-full-color-pic-out/">NECA</a> not only had to mold this fully articulated, pustule-covered monster -- they had to paint on his every blemish, scab and scar. There is no amount of money high enough to merit such attention to nastiness.<br />
<br />
We won't be able to get our hands on this figure (and others from the zombie-centric hit) until next Spring, but you can be sure that when we do, our hands will be safely enveloped by gloves. Check him out in all his oozing glory after the jump.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/16/left-4-deads-boomer-action-figure-is-pretty-gnarly/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Left 4 Dead's Boomer action figure is pretty gnarly</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/16/left-4-deads-boomer-action-figure-is-pretty-gnarly/">Left 4 Dead's Boomer action figure is pretty gnarly</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 16 Dec 2011 18:20:00 EST. As if there weren't enough <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recurring_enemies_in_the_Mario_series#Shy_Guy">Shy Guy permutations</a> in various Mario games haunting your dreams as it is, custom action figure crafter <a href="http://www.jinsaotomesdangeroustoys.com/">Jin Saotome</a> has gone and created an even more terrifying one than normal. As seen above and more thoroughly on <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/JinsDangerousToys/ShyGuy.html">his personal site</a>, Saotome's interpretation of Shy Guy is just a tad darker than Nintendo's version.<br />
<br />
Naotome's site details the figure's composition, a careful combination of a PVC Shy Guy character mask, the body of DC Comics' Desaad and the hands of The Spirit, and a gatling gun composed of an Iron Man weapon and a Spawn weapon. The piece is currently up on <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-SHY-GUY-Marvel-Legends-DC-Universe-Super-Mario-/330559816185?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&amp;hash=item4cf6e681f9#ht_5547wt_1002">eBay</a>, fetching around $60 as of midday Friday EST, but it's also <em>really sweet</em> and one-of-a-kind, so you may wanna jump on that soon if Dark Shy Guy is for you.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/06/youll-be-way-into-this-custom-shy-guy-figure/">You'll be way into this custom Shy Guy figure</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 May 2011 19:00:00 EST. The adorable <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/super-scribblenauts"><em>Scribblenaut</em></a> himself, Maxwell, is heading to toy stores this June. First, he's <a href="http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=FNK10727&amp;mode=retail">an action figure</a>, complete with a pencil and notebook used to create anything you can dream of. Then while you're dreaming, you can <a href="http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=FNK10728&amp;mode=retail">hug a little plush Maxwell</a>, available for $10 plus shipping.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/scribblenauts-maxwell-now-available-for-pre-order-in-toy-form/">Scribblenauts' Maxwell now available for pre-order in toy form</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 29 Mar 2011 07:00:00 EST. Everyone's favorite character from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/borderlands"><em>Borderlands</em></a> is getting a toy, courtesy of NECA. No, we're not talking about a Scooter action figure (though that sounds like an <em>excellent </em>idea), we're talking about bounty board attendant supreme, CL4P-TP -- Claptrap, for short. <br />
<br />
NECA was on-hand at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/comic-con-2010">Comic-Con</a> this past weekend, showing off the prototype above. The final version, which will be able to recite lines from the game, is slated for release this October. Frankly, we can't wait to get our own, mostly because we've always wondered what kind of loot our house has been hiding.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/26/hey-check-out-this-claptrap-toy-everybody-its-dancing-it/">Hey, check out this Claptrap toy, everybody -- it's dancing, it's dancing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Jul 2010 18:40:00 EST. Attention collectors: <a href="http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MF18431">Entertainment Earth</a> has netted the exclusive rights to release this special edition <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Halo-3/">Halo 3</a></em> pale-yellow EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) figure. The $15 figure comes complete with needler and flare and ships sometime in April. For those looking to add this to their collection, EE recommends you pre-order soon because the product will be limited. Check out Nathan, all decked out in his <em>Bionic</em> logo tank-top and rad arm. Take a really good look though because Capcom hasn't <strike>decided if the figure will be made available</strike> let customers know when, how or <em>if</em> the product will be made available.<br /><br />Why would <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Capcom/">Capcom</a> bother showing you then? Gauge customer interest of course! Looking to add another super solider to your wall of heroes? This might be the one you're missing.<br /><br />Let's say, for the sake of argument, that this six-inch tall prototype was included in a special edition of <em>Bionic Commando</em> priced to own for an extra $20. Interested now? What if we put Todd McFarlane's stamp of approval on it? Come on. Someone must want this thing kicking around.<br /><br /><em>Ed. Note: This toy was not developed by McFarlane Toys. Today, the Capcom Blog decided to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/look-hard-bionic-commando-box-art/">reveal the box art</a> and a <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/snow_infernus/blog/2008/09/30/bionic_commando_prototype_figure">prototype figurine</a> for <em>Bionic Commando</em>. The thing about the figurine, though, is that the company has no idea when, where, how or <em>if</em> the general consumer will be able to get one.<br /><br />OK, we have no idea what the point of showing off the six-inch tall prototype is other than to gauge consumer interest. So, fine, we'll bite. It's kinda sexy. What say y'all? Would you pay $20 more if it came in one of those "limited edition" packages these companies are so fond of?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/capcom-shows-off-bionic-commando-prototype-figurine/">Capcom shows off Bionic Commando prototype figurine</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Sep 2008 23:30:00 EST. <em>Secret Agent Clank</em> figurines are currently available for those who pre-order the game at GameStop. A post by Sony America producer Frank Simon on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/05/27/secret-agent-clank-bonus-pre-order-figurine/">PlayStation Blog</a> says that the toy will be available with pre-order -- dramatic pause -- "while supplies last." The first of these polyresin statues to be released will be none other than box art poster man <a href="http://www.highdome.com/servlet/.ba0809af/Detail?no=2">Commander Shepard</a> who, we must say, is quite the charmer. The Shepard statue will release in February 2008, be eight inches tall, limited to only 2,500 pieces, hand numbered and command a collector's price of $89. And, since these are statues and not action figures they're for display purposes only and can not be articulated or played with. Unless you want to bang him up against your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/15/finalized-big-daddy-figure-is-oh-so-lovable/">Big Daddy</a>, but that's not our idea of fun. You can pre-order the <em>Mass Effect</em> Commander Shepard statue exclusively at <a href="http://www.highdome.com/servlet/.ba0809af/Detail?no=2">HighDome</a> and you can stay up to date on its production over at the <a href="http://hyperchildwow.com/blog/">Digital Ritalin blog</a>. Toy manufacturers are banking on the success of <em>Metal Gear Solid 4</em>. Here's yet another set of meticulously designed figures from the upcoming PS3 tactical espionage game. <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-57ld-71-8x-49-en-84-j-70-24gk.html">Raiden</a> (pictured above) looks quite cool in his new robotic ninja outfit. Too bad his face doesn't look quite good when you open his mask.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-57ld-71-8x-49-en-84-j-70-24gj.html">Old Snake</a> is also available ... but at a price! These figures go for a whipping $179 each! (Budget consumers should check out this <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/28/metal-gear-solid-4-action-figures-for-pre-order/">other set</a> instead.) Toy collectors are used to such extravagant prices, but will you be able to afford to pre-order one?<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=202755">NeoGAF</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/26/more-metal-gear-solid-4-figures-spotted/">More Metal Gear Solid 4 figures spotted</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 26 Oct 2007 13:00:00 EST.
