Never one to put out a boring release, programmer Multiple: Option joined this summer's Neoflash Coding Competition with a title most pervs won't be able to pass up -- Sexy Blackjack Trainer.

We've featured NSFW card games for the DS before, but this one has two special features that really show the developer's attention to detail:
  1. Controls designed specifically for one-handed play
  2. Rumble pak support
As you've probably surmised, Sexy Blackjack Trainer teaches you basic strategies and card-counting techniques for 21, rewarding your wins with NSFW pictures.

The game comes in two flavors, each featuring photos from a different adult movie star -- Sunny Leone, who appeared in Star 69: Strap Ons, and Sora Aoi, who you might remember from her 2005 film, Sora Is Your Do-Exactly-As-Told Toy.

Alas and alack! Team-DSX, the doujin developer behind Half-Elf Tentacle Assault has announced that it has canceled the homebrew hentai game. You'll have to get your half-elf-assaulting kicks elsewhere!

According to media reports, the preparation committee behind comic convention Comiket -- where Team-DSX was expected to debut and sell the title -- declined the developer's registration for the event. The group has since taken down its official page and posted an apology for the cancellation at its blog.

Presumably, the Comiket rejection was due to Team-DSX's publicization that the game's ROM requires a flashcart. In fact, the developer went so far as to distribute double-sided flyers promoting Half-Elf Tentacle Assault on one side and advertising an R4 distributor on the other.

And so it goes, the lewd game has disappeared just as quickly and as quietly as it slithered into our lives, wrapping its slimy tendrils around our limbs and devastating our orifices, promising, "I'll call you sometime," before taking its leave. We'll spend a week waiting by the phone for that call, but we won't be surprised when it never comes.

Looking to satisfy the legions of perverts interested in its upcoming homebrew release, Half-Elf Tentacle Assault, doujin-developer Team-DSX has posted a potential design for the game's CD-ROM cover -- to cut down on costs, the group plans to release the ROM on CDs instead of traditional carts, so that customers can transfer the game to their flashcarts.

The screenshots featured on the packaging give you a good idea of what to expect from the visual novel (if the Half-Elf Tentacle Assault name wasn't descriptive enough) and are, naturally, very NSFW. Even with stars and white spots covering all the naughty bits on the images, we've hidden the cover past the post break, away from chaste eyes.

Just one last quick caution -- the boxart depicts half-elf Colin and another heroine in suggestive scenes of forced sodomy. Also, a green pig-man with killer abs has his head totally slashed off. You've been warned!

As soon as Nintendo released its anti-Twilight Hack patch in an attempt to stifle the Wii's homebrew scene, programmers set to work on finding vulnerabilities with the new firmware. They understood that there was more at stake than just homemade applications and games -- the very future of Wii teledildonics was at risk.

Fortunately, an update re-enabling the Twilight Hack was put out just in time for Team DWiildo's WiiBrator release. We're sure you can figure out how it works. Of course, PC applications interfacing with the Wii remote have provided similar functions in the past, but this "advanced vibrator simulator" is actually run through Nintendo's console.

We, uh, haven't tried out the technology demo ourselves, but it sounds like an excellent alternative to spending $50+ at the local Hustler shop for a buzzing piece of cheap, fluorescent-colored plastic. Team Dwiildo also has intriguing ideas for upcoming versions, including an image slideshow and online support for up to 32 players. Ambitious!

If you decide to try out the WiiBrator program, Team Dwiildo suggests that you use the remote jacket for enhanced comfort. Also, they very much advise against using the application with either the Wii Zapper or Wii Wheel peripherals attached.

While you won't find any mention of it in the current rating page, the eagle-eyed spies over at Eurogamer noticed an eye-opening description of "references to suicide and an implied child rape" in a summary of Metal Gear Solid 4 briefly posted on the BBFC site (this summary was likely the Extended Classification Information, which is not supposed to be posted more than 10 days before a game is released). Before you get excited, note that Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton told Kotaku that "there is no mention of rape in the game" and that the BBFC's confusion may have come from a mention of "child trauma."

Regardless of the specifics behind the disturbing description, the BBFC still granted the game a relatively tame 15 rating for violence that "may be strong but may not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury during gameplay." The fact that it's possible to "progress stealthily through the game, avoiding violent confrontations where possible" seemed to weigh heavily on the decision. Hey, you can do that in the 18-rated Grand Theft Auto games too! Well, OK, you can't really advance that way, but you could avoid violence by driving a cab all day.

Created in one day with softcore images of naked women "shamelessly stolen from the teh intarnets," Mammary Advance is a homebrew Memory game for the GBA in which you flip two cards to literally match a pair. Interestingly, you're tasked with matching photos of left and right breasts instead of two identical images. This twist adds a lot more challenge to the simple game than you'd expect!

The sexual objectification in Mammary Advance is inescapable -- the only female faces you'll ever see are in the title and developer screens -- and we're, once again, left wondering why we can't have any sophisticated erotic games for our handhelds, but it's amusing to see that these immature releases didn't disappear with the rise of easily-accessible hardcore pornography on the internet.

Thought of by many as the "Disney of video gaming," Nintendo has crafted themselves an image of family-friendly entertainment. But to certain generations and classes of gamers, the term "family-friendly" is synonymous with "kiddy," and immediately sparks disinterest. But ever since publishing Rare's Killer Instinct, they've been working on broadening the public's perspective. Trying to appeal to the bloodlust of the Mortal Kombat crowd didn't give them any headway, and as generations progressed and they've garnered more "mature-themed" titles, they still haven't been able to shake the "kiddy console" stigma.

Even after snagging the exclusivity to the Resident Evil series for a generation, Nintendo was largely overlooked by the Playstation-bred gamers that were brought up on the series. How much more will it take for Wii to be regarded as a platform that can satisfy the tastes of mature gamers?

The Nintendo DS's software library is diverse enough to satisfy almost every genre craving or niche interest. If what you're looking for, however, is a game with more mature themes -- nudity and sexual content -- it's doubtful that your needs will be met. Kotaku has a story about a PSP mahjong game that has some ... saucy imagery in it. It isn't an adult game persay, but it got me thinking: do gamers want adult games? In this month's EGM, they predict that 20 years in the future, gamers won't be playing adult titles on anything but the PC. While this seems like a believable prediction, is our society so puritanical that we can't accept adult gaming in the mainstream?

On the flip-side of the argument, one could point out that the popularity of adult movies has exponentially grown the past few years, and this may have a trickle effect to gaming. Also, gaming has yet to wriggle free of its "just for kids" perception. Once today's gamers are adults, doesn't it seem like the potential for adult games having success would be much higher? David Carnoy, executive editor of CNET, has written an interesting piece about the appeal of Nintendo DS to females. Girls seem to love Nintendo's handheld, and they help make a large portion of Nintendo's current audience. For example, one CNET editor's girlfriend "liked the concept of the touch screen ... She thought it was more interactive than what you had with the PSP."

Certainly, women can enjoy PSP (see picture), but it's clear that PSP is largely targeted towards males. But is that really a problem? As Carnoy points out, focusing on this demographic has created a large library of games that can entertain an audience that simply won't be satisfied by the DS's numerous casual games: "Fact is, the number of really good titles for the DS is actually pretty thin, especially if you happen to be over 21 and don't worship at the altar of Mario or Pokemon. If you're looking to play more 'adult' games with any sort of backbone, the PSP is a far better choice with a much stronger game library."

Like almost every other analyst out there, Carnoy believes that PSP can better attract a wider audience with a redesigned handheld. The problem appears to be Sony's reluctance: "I wouldn't be surprised if I saw the DS Extra Lite before I saw the next iteration of the PSP."

Oh no. It's yet another one of those NSFW PSP games. You know what I'm talking about: games that seem to offer no benefit other than displaying gratuitous amounts of T&A. Considering the older demographic of the PSP, and the relative privacy one has while using it, it's unsurprising that publishers are trying to take advantage with more "adult" skewed games. Pocket Pool rewards players with photos and videos of a questionable nature for playing a round of billiards. However, is taunting realistic "ball control" a good thing in a game like this?

This might be one of the hottest tips we've ever received. A French homebrew developer by the name of Cau'x has released a game he calls DealSexDuo. According to his website, "DealSexDuo is a sexual preliminaries game for couple on PSP. Make a deal with your mate and sort out the winner with mini games. Humour, Hot pledges, and sexy ambient are announced. Your PSP turns into the most usefull sextoy's for your night of love."

We all saw the signs. Playboy had their PlayboyStation Portable going on, and you know you'd be lying if you said you didn't use Bittorrent to explore your more carnal interests. Now, instead of having to wait several days to download your "educational" materials, you can simply buy them from your smut peddler of choice. Bouncy bills itself as the first ever Mature-rated UMD out on the market and it went on sale online last week.

Pr0n on UMD? Yeah, sure it was inevitable, given the more mature demographic the PSP targeted, we just didn't realize finding out about it would make us feel so freaky naughty awkward afterward. It's sort of like seeing your first unclothed cartoon character: it's cool, but somewhat disturbing.
