Picked up by way of the Gamertag Radio forums from the alleged Twitter account of Tekken 6 -- we know, we know -- it was confirmed this afternoon that the image you see above of Penny Arcade's Cardboard Tube Samurai is, in fact, the real deal. Where, you ask? Well, of course, Mike "Gabe" Krahulik's Twitter account, where he twote, "Yes this is for real. Cts costume will be in Tekken 6!"

He is, of course, referring to the Cardboard Tube Samurai and probably not the cartoon time-traveling simulator we already know will include everything in the universe. Take a look after the break for the exciting Twitter snapshot where Gabe revealed the truth.

When our own JC Fletcher isn't lamenting games not yet on the Virtual Console, we hire him out for guest spots on podcasts. We like to keep him busy, you know? He recently sat down with the folks at Aeropause for some Wii and DS chatter, and since we not only like JC, but we like podcasts, we thought it best to recommend the fusion of both to you, our faithful readers. So if you like Okami (who doesn't?), random chatter about Stretch Panic as a possible Wii port (yes, please), E for All, and more gaming goodness -- including JC's glowing recommendation of the DS title Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck, head over and lend them your ear.

And if you have a podcast, JC is available for the low price of free. Just expect at least three references to old games; it's how he rolls.

It wasn't long ago that Bungie sat down with gaming magazines around the world to share the first real information about Halo 3. And it looks like Swedish magazine, Level, has the dubious honor of being scanned first. To be fair, these aren't exactly scans, but we'll take what we can get. The magazine reveals new details about weapons, vehicles and multiplayer.

Weapons
Spiker - a new Brute weapon
Spartan laser - a laser that tears vehicles apart
Nail Grenade - sticks into walls and sends nails everywhere

Vehicles
The Mongoose is in! This is the ATV that was cut from Halo 2. It seats two and has no weapons. Designed from recon and quick travel.

Multiplayer goodies
The "Man Cannon" - Spartans do their best Human Bullet impersonations for some extremely rapid transport. Players can still shoot in the air, and can be shot down.

Controls
The X button has a new, still secret feature. Reloading has now been allocated to the bumper buttons. Right bumper reloads the right weapon, and the left bumper reloads the left. Genius.

Miscellaneous
You can now see your secondary weapon when it's not in use. In other words, it's actually slung over your shoulder instead of magically appearing out of thin air. Also, a 4 DVD "Legendary" edition is planned that will have material from Red Vs. Blue, documentaries, and a collection of all cut scenes from the game (possibly the whole series?).

Please take this info with a grain of salt, as it has all been translated from a Swedish mag that we've never heard of. If anyone has picked this magazine up, let us know. You should be able to confirm all this info when the infamous EGM story finally shows up. So, who's excited? Raise your hand.

The Gears of War photoshop contest we told you about a couple of weeks ago has drawn to a close. If you don't remember, the object of the contest was to create a Gears of War image. That's it. Some funny (and not so funny) images were sent in to Aeropause and they have picked their winner and compiled some of the best entries into a single post. Richard -- still love that name -- over at Aeropause is hosting a Gears of War contest. The winner, naturally, will get a copy of Gears of War and plenty of swag to boot. Second place gets a GOW faceplate and swag, and third place just gets plain old swag. All you have to do is send in a GOW image that has been cleverly Photoshopped in some way. All winners will get their entry featured on Aeropause as well. Head over to Aeropause for all the details. We're not hosting the contest, but we'd love to see what you come up with anyway. At the risk of prompting the masses to shout, "Slow news day, huh?", I couldn't help but post this article from Aeropause. From the article:

"Ever since man made the very first console there has existed a seedy under-culture of gamers. These gamers have chosen something to stand by forever, and no it's not graphics or the great games; it's the company they stand behind, and why would someone base every decision regarding their gaming future based on a company's past success? The simple answer is fanboyism, a disease that has affected millions! They separate themselves from the good fanboys because they believe that they possess the greatest console on the planet without consideration for the others out there."

Of course, none of you fall into that category. We're talking about other fanboys. Seriously, it's just a fun little article that's worth a read. The Nintendo fanboy picture on the bottom left of the article is worth the price of admission* alone.
