There's "value" and then there's "you're insane if you don't purchase this." The latest Humble Indie Bundle falls into the latter and is easily the best bundle yet. That's right, we said it.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/13/humble-indie-bundle-4-revealed-nab-meat-boy-shank-jamestown-a/">Humble Indie Bundle 4</a> has added five new games to its lineup -- a selection of titles from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/humble-indie-bundle-3">Humble Indie Bundle 3</a>, to be exact. If you pay more than the average now (or already purchased the bundle) you can snag <em>Crayon Physics Deluxe</em>, <em>Cogs</em>, <em>VVVVVVV</em>, <em>And Yet It Moves</em> and <em>Hammerfight</em> on the house. And you know how the fine bundle folks sweetened the deal by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/16/humble-indie-bundle-4-adds-free-soundtracks-for-every-game/">adding free soundtracks</a> last week? Yup, you'll also get the soundtracks to these five latest additions.<br />
<br />
Agree with us now? Yeah, we thought so.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/20/humble-indie-bundle-adds-five-more-games-and-their-soundtracks/">Humble Indie Bundle adds five more games (and their soundtracks)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 20 Dec 2011 15:15:00 EST. At what point does the <a href="http://www.humblebundle.com/">Humble Indie Bundle</a> become so successful that it can officially stop being so darn humble? We're not sure if there's a set limit, but we think that the recently launched third edition of the indie game compilation has <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/36120/Third_Humble_Indie_Bundle_See_105K_Downloads_500K_Sales_In_17_Hours.php">cleared the bar</a>: In its first 17 hours of availability, Humble Indie Bundle 3 has been downloaded over 105,000 times, pulling in more than $500,000 for the five games included therein.<br />
<br />
Keep in mind, these impressive figures were accumulated in less than a day -- we can't wait to see how much cheddar these worthy titles (alongside Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation) can nab during their full two-week run. Of course, first, we're going to have to find out the latest dollar-to-cheddar currency exchange rates. We're pretty sure it's $3.09 per brick, but that ratio might be a tad outdated.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/27/humble-indie-bundle-3-rakes-in-500k-in-17-hours/">Humble Indie Bundle 3 rakes in $500K in 17 hours</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 Jul 2011 15:00:00 EST. The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/humble-indie-bundle">Humble Indie Bundle</a>, the wildly successful, DRM-free pay-what-you-want charity game collection curated by Wolfire Games, is back ... right now! The Humble Indie Bundle 3 includes <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/crayon-physics-deluxe">Crayon Physics Deluxe</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/cogs">Cogs</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/vvvvvv">VVVVVV</a> </em>(now with a level editor and a new level by <em>Minecraft</em> creator Notch), <em><a href="http://www.koshutin.com/">Hammerfight</a></em>, and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/and-yet-it-moves">And Yet It Moves</a></em> -- all playable natively in Linux, OSX, and Windows. Some of the games are newly ported specifically for this purpose.<br />
<br />
As always, you'll be able to pay whatever amount you like for the bundle, and you'll be able to specify how much of that payment goes to the EFF, Child's Play, the developers, or Wolfire itself (to offset the costs of hosting the Bundle). The bundle will go away in two weeks, so you have that long to decide how much to chip in, and to whom. We assume you've already decided to buy it.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/26/humble-indie-bundle-3-packs-vvvvvv-crayon-physics-deluxe-and-y/">Humble Indie Bundle 3 packs VVVVVV, Crayon Physics Deluxe, And Yet It Moves, and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 26 Jul 2011 12:30:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left;">This year has seen the concept of "pay what you want" sales explode onto the indie scene, with the likes of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/04/humble-indie-bundle-pay-what-you-want-for-world-of-goo-and-four/">Humble Indie Bundle</a> and, more recently, Tale of Tales' catalog briefly going PWYW (or "pwhu-yew"). Now today -- and only today -- Broken Rules is breaking the rules of traditional pricing structures and letting you name the price for its world-rotating platformer, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/and-yet-it-moves"><em>And Yet It Moves</em></a>, for PC and Mac.<br />
<br />
YAWMA, the online indie game and music site that's hosting <a href="http://yawma.net/games/25-and-yet-it-moves">the sale</a>, is even willing to let you have the game for zero dollars, but you wouldn't be able to live with that on your conscience. Really -- we're telling you that you couldn't. What you can live with is knowing you bought a cool game and helped an independent dev afford to make <em>another</em> cool game.<br />
<br />
If you're not a PC or Mac gamer, you can try a demo of <em>AYIM </em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/wiiware-demo/">on WiiWare next week</a> -- but, if you like it, you'll need to PWNW ("pay what Nintendo wants").</div>

Trip Fate</em> didn't give you a clear enough idea about the game, you'll be able to try it yourself at no cost on November 22. That's when Nintendo of America brings back last year's WiiWare demo program.<br />
<br />
Next Monday, in addition to <em>Fate</em>, you'll be able to download demos for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/thruspace">ThruSpace</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/jett-rocket">Jett Rocket</a></em>, and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/and-yet-it-moves">And Yet It Moves</a></em>. Like the new demo program in Europe, these demos will only be available for a limited time, and will be rotated out regularly. That means that you should download every demo that you see, just in case you decide you want to try it out later. Or is that just us?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/wiiware-demo/">Nintendo tries WiiWare demos again in North America Nov. 22</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Nov 2010 11:00:00 EST. You'll have to move 1,000 Wii Points out of your account to purchase the game, which came out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/23/nintendoware-weekly-ufouria-and-yet-it-moves/">this Monday in North America</a>. WiiWare is also host to <a href="http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/games/wiiware/tales_of_elastic_boy_mission_1_18799.html"><em>Tales of Elastic Boy Mission 1</em></a>, a 600-Point sort-of platformer starring a little slime creature that can roll and attach to objects with its stretchy arms.<br />

Meanwhile, DSiWare in Europe has <a href="http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/games/dsiware/mynotebook_carbon_18820.html"><em>myNotebook Carbon</em></a> and <a href="http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/games/dsiware/mynotebook_pearl_18821.html"><em>myNotebook Pearl</em></a>, two variations of Nnooo's notebook app. Also available: <em>Where's Wally? WiiWare has a (single) interesting release as well: the physics-based puzzle platformer <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/and-yet-it-moves">And Yet It Moves</a></em>, which has moved from PC to WiiWare with new modes and some new levels.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/and-yet-it-moves-wiiware/">And Yet It Moves (WiiWare)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/and-yet-it-moves-wiiware/#3234082"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/gameplay-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/and-yet-it-moves-wiiware/#3234083"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/gameplay-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/and-yet-it-moves-wiiware/#3234084"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/gameplay-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/and-yet-it-moves-wiiware/#3234085"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/titlescreen-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br type="_moz" /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/23/nintendoware-weekly-ufouria-and-yet-it-moves/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: Ufouria, And Yet It Moves</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/23/nintendoware-weekly-ufouria-and-yet-it-moves/">NintendoWare Weekly: Ufouria, And Yet It Moves</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 23 Aug 2010 09:57:00 EST. Today, Broken Rules sent out a press release confirming that the stylish game will be available on the Wii Shop in North America on August 23 for 1,000 Wii Points.<br />
<br />
<em>And Yet It Moves</em>, already available on PC, is a side-view platformer that forces players to periodically rotate the view by 90 degrees, turning walls into floors. If you haven't seen it -- and want to be unexpectedly charmed by Wii control demonstrations -- check out the trailer after the break. Actually, even if you've already played the PC version, you should watch this trailer. It looks like a lot of work went into it.<br />

Nintendo had a few awesome new WiiWare announcements at its Nintendo Media Summit, most notably, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/24/cave-story-wiiware-march-22-release-date/"><em>Cave Story</em></a><em>!</em> Most notably in the field of games we <em>didn't</em> know about, new <em>Art Style</em> games! The series hasn't been on Wii since the DSi came out, but now we've got <em>Light Trax</em> (a Wii version of the original bit Generations game <em>Dotstream</em>) and <em>Rotozoa (</em>a game about multi-tentacled organisms absorbing creatures of the same color) to look forward to this spring.<br />
<br />
Check out the trailer for <em>Light Trax</em> above, and see a trailer for <em>Rotozoa</em>, as well as screens of <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/max-and-the-magic-marker">Max and the Magic Marker</a>,</em> WiiWare's <em>WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/rage-of-the-gladiator">Rage of the Gladiator</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/and-yet-it-moves">And Yet It Moves</a>, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/super-meat-boy">Super Meat Boy</a>, </em>and <em>Cave Story </em>after the break. So what if Sophie/Samuel didn't return your request for a weekend getaway to that little bed and breakfast in New Hampshire? Wouldn't you rather spend your weekend falling in love with a handful of indie games -- <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/and-yet-it-moves">And Yet it Moves</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/auditorium">Auditorium</a></em>, <em>Aztaka</em>, <em>Eufloria</em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/machinarium">Machinarium</a></em>, and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/osmos">Osmos</a></em> -- from an all-star list of developers? We knew you'd see our point! Besides, it's only $20 -- that's way less than the price of two nights for two people at <a href="http://www.buttonwoodinn.com/">The Buttonwood Inn</a>, not to mention a steal considering each game individually purchased would add up to 85 buckaroos. And hey, now you can spoil yourself with an extra large box of tissues and a matching ice cream tub.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/13/indie-games-bundled-on-the-cheap-for-v-day/">Indie games bundled on the cheap for V-Day</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 13 Feb 2010 14:30:00 EST.
