Ubisoft Gamescom media megapost: Rayman Legends, ZombiU, and more

Just in case you didn't get to see the Ubisoft press conference while it was streaming, don't worry. We saved all of the pictures and videos from the games they had on display, and have combined them all into this one easy-to-carry blog post for your viewing pleasure.

It took a while to figure out a way to pack all of these games into the same place, but below, you'll find new screenshots from the gorgeous Rayman Legends, videos from Ghost Recon Online and the two upcoming Might and Magic titles, and more media from upcoming titles like Avengers: Battle For Earth and the upcoming ZombiU. How convenient!

Amazon reveals potential Wii U software box designs

Listings for three Ubisoft Wii U games on Amazon.ca show a new design at the top of the boxes, which is possibly the design for all Wii U boxarts. Nintendo seems to be going to extremes to ensure Wii U boxes aren't confused for Wii games (though they will be anyway), trading the white and grey bar for a blue and yellow U shape.

You can see the box on the listings for Assassin's Creed 3, Just Dance 4, and Avengers: Battle for Earth. So far, it's only visible at Amazon.ca. We're following up with Nintendo to verify that this is the real design, and to make sure Just Dance 4's neon zebra stripes aren't part of the standard.

Domain registered for 'Avengers: Battle for Earth,' all signs point to Ubisoft

Look, we're gonna level with you: We need more of Joss Whedon's The Avengers in our lives. We need more Captain America suspenders, more Sammy-J eye patch and more Scar-Jo everything. That new Pinball FX 2 table kinda helps, but its not really the explosive licensed tie-in gaming experience our bodies are craving.

There is hope, however, as a domain for Avengers: Battle for Earth has been registered by Marvel (via brand protection company MarkMonitor) and is currently parked on a Ubisoft server, according to whois data unearthed by the URL sleuths at Fusible.

As there have been no official announcements of any sort, the chances of Avengers: Battle for Earth being a super high-octane movie tie-in blockbuster are just as good as it being some sort of social farming/drawing/word search cash in for iOS and/or Facebook. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the first option, but at this point we'll take what we can get.
