 <em>Wolfenstein: The New Order, </em>MachineGames' series reboot <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/wolfenstein-the-new-order-announced/">announced last week</a>, has deployed a platoon of screenshots featuring mechs, robo-dogs and pistol-packin' Nazi grandmas.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/14/wolfenstein-the-new-order-screenshots/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wolfenstein: The New Order serves up new screenshots</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/14/wolfenstein-the-new-order-screenshots/">Wolfenstein: The New Order serves up new screenshots</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 14 May 2013 15:45:00 EST. There's something odd going on with <em>Wolfenstein 3D</em> on PSN and XBLM. First off, this week the ESRB re-rated the classic game on Xbox 360 and PS3, nearly four years after it arrived on the platforms digitally. Secondly, it's sprouted an <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Search?q=wolfenstein%203d#Games">additional page</a> on XBLM.<br />
<br />
Playing Spot the Difference between the two pages, the new one lists the publisher as Bethesda rather than Activision. Developer id Software was acquired by Bethesda's parent company Zenimax in June 2009, just a few weeks after <em>Wolfenstein 3D</em> came to XBLM and PSN. Also, the release date is now listed as May 31 of this year, which is a bit odd. The box art is slightly different too, and once more notes Bethesda's name instead of Activision's.<br />
<br />
Overall, the whole thing's as curious as Adolf Hitler in a mech suit. The timing's certainly interesting given the recent reveal of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/wolfenstein-the-new-order-announced/">Wolfenstein: The New Order</a></em>. When approached on the matter, a company spokesperson told Joystiq, "No comment on that from Bethesda."<br />
<br />
<strong>Update</strong>: Bethesda VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines told Joystiq there's <a href="http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/p480x480/935784_10151424178252005_1158080246_n.jpg">nothing to see here</a>.<br />
<br />
"No changes. Was originally published through Activision, so now that it's reverted back to us we have to jump through ESRB (ratings go to the publisher, they don't "follow" the game to a new publisher) and console hoops (game has to be "re-certed" by the new publisher)," Hines said. <p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/14/wolfenstein-3d-re-rated-by-esrb-gets-new-page-on-xblm/">Wolfenstein 3D re-rated by ESRB, gets new page on XBLM [update: housekeeping]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 14 May 2013 06:00:00 EST. GamersGate is hosting <a href="http://www.gamersgate.com/games?q=bethesdaweekend&amp;prio=relevance">a big sale on Bethesda titles</a> this weekend, featuring games from the last few years of the company's history on sale for a fraction of the usual price. <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dishonored"><em>Dishonored</em></a>, for example, is <a href="http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-DISHONORED/dishonored">available for a low $14.99</a>, or you can get <a href="http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-ES5S/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim"><em>Skyrim</em> for $14.95</a>, <a href="http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-RAGE/rage"><em>Rage</em> for $9.95</a>, or <em>Fallout: New Vegas</em>' Ultimate Edition <a href="http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-FNVUE/fallout-new-vegas-ultimate-edition">for $9.95</a>. <em>Brink, Oblivion, Fallout 3</em>, and <em>Morrowind</em> are all listed at bargain prices as well.<br />
<br />
A few of the titles have dropped out of stock already, which means that GamersGate has run out of digital keys for them. But as long as the title is still available for purchase, you can buy it, and then GamersGate will deliver a key when more are available. The deals last through the weekend, so now's your chance to fill out that Bethesda back catalog you've been missing.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/10/gamersgate-offering-bethesdas-best-for-cheap-this-weekend/">GamersGate offering Bethesda's best for cheap this weekend</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 10 May 2013 03:00:00 EST. <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/wolfenstein-the-new-order-announced/">Wolfenstein: The New Order</a></em> will not include multiplayer, Bethesda and developer MachineGames told <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/news/no-multiplayer-in-new-wolfenstein-6408085">Gamespot</a>. <em>The New Order </em>stuck its neck out (and its right arm) yesterday with an announcement trailer featuring series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz in an alternate 1960s universe where the Nazis won World War II.<br />
<br />
Previous Wolfenstein games to include multiplayer include <em>Return to Castle Wolfenstein</em>, released in 2001, <em>Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory</em>, out in 2003, and the 2009 <em>Wolfenstein</em> for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. With a legacy as storied as Wolfenstein's, a few <a href="http://fyre.it/Oy1bz3.4">series fans</a> may <a href="http://fyre.it/Tmzcvj.4">be dismayed</a> to hear <em>New Order </em>won't include multiplayer.<br />
<br />
<em>Wolfenstein: The New Order </em>is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and next-gen consoles in Q4 2013.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/08/wolfenstein-the-new-order-wont-have-a-multiplayer-mode/">Wolfenstein: The New Order won't have a multiplayer mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 May 2013 14:15:00 EST. <div>Bethesda announced this morning <em>The Elder Scrolls Online</em> will be playable at this year's Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.<br />
<br />
Gamescom, the world's largest video game convention, will be open to the public from August 22-25. Tickets for the show are <a href="http://www.gamescom-cologne.com/en/gamescom/fuer_alle/eintrittskartenneu/index.php">available now</a>. Just be painfully aware of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/19/gamescom-2012-attendance-over-275-000/">crowds</a> if you're planning to attend.<br />

The listing is for a 15-rated "modified" game and notes "strong horror themes and violence."<br /><br />The rating comes hot on the heels of Bethesda announcing Shinji Mikami's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-evil-within"><em>The Evil Within</em></a>, so it could be another codename for the horror game; <em>The Evil Within</em> isn't listed on the Australian Classification Board. Or it could be something else entirely - a surprisingly gritty adaptation of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endless_Summer_(The_Beach_Boys_album)">1974 album</a> by pop sensations The Beach Boys, maybe. We asked Bethesda, but a company representative told us he couldn't comment on the listing.<br /><br />A surfer-slasher re-imagining it is, then.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: A Bethesda representative has reached out to say, "We have nothing to share at this point." And we're back to surfer-slasher.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: right;"> <small>[Image: <a href="http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-102849p1.html">Pakhnyushcha</a> via Shutterstock</small>]</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/23/bethesdas-endless-summer-emerges-on-australian-ratings-board/">Bethesda's 'Endless Summer' emerges on Australian ratings board</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Apr 2013 08:30:00 EST. Apart from numerous bug fixes, the update's hallmark features are the new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/04/skyrim-v1-9-beta-live-on-steam-adds-legendary-skills-and-diffic/">Legendary difficulty setting</a> and Legendary Skill system. As Bethesda points out in the <a href="http://www.bethblog.com/2013/03/04/now-on-steam-skyrim-1-9-beta-update/">patch notes</a>, this technically removes the level cap from <em>Skyrim</em>.<br /><br />The patch went live on PC <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/20/skyrim-legendary-update-live-on-steam-later-this-month-stil/">last month</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/08/skyrim-1-9-update-now-on-xbox-later-today-on-ps3/">Skyrim 1.9 update now on Xbox, later today on PS3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 08 Apr 2013 13:30:00 EST. Since its announcement in 2007, developer id Software has completely rebooted <em>Doom 4</em>'s development at least once and still doesn't have much to show as far as an actual game goes, <a href="http://kotaku.com/five-years-and-nothing-to-show-how-doom-4-got-off-trac-468097062">Kotaku</a> reports. The website provides the following breakdown from a series of anonymous people:<br /><br /><em>Doom 4</em> began as a Call of Duty-inspired shooter, with cinematic, scripted sequences, but after the lukewarm launch of <em>Rage</em> in 2011, id took another look at the project and started from scratch. Within that process, <em>Rage 2</em> was canceled and id tried to merge the Rage and Doom teams, to focus solely on <em>Doom 4</em>.<br /><br />By January 2012, id wanted <em>Doom 4 </em>to<em> be </em>as big as <em>Skyrim</em>, but the disparate teams had trouble finding a groove. Additionally, much of the project's "top talent" left id throughout 2012. This year, Zenimax, id's parent company, issued an ultimatum that could see id cleaned out to refocus on tech, two people tell Kotaku.<br /><br />For now <em>Doom 4 </em>is still alive, though it may not be immortal. In October 2011 and February 2012, <em>Doom 4</em> had two cancelation scares, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/21/bethesda-shoots-down-doom-4-postponement-rumors/">each</a> of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/28/bethesda-doom-4-isn-t-cancelled/">which</a> Bethesda refuted. The image above was part of a series that leaked in early 2012, though id <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/02/id-responds-to-alleged-doom-4-image-leak/">Design Director Matt Hooper</a> said it didn't represent actual <em>Doom 4</em> direction. Last we heard - back in August 2012 - <em>Doom 4 </em>was attached to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/05/doom-4-to-be-compatible-with-oculus-rift-vr-headset/">Oculus Rift's VR push</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/03/report-doom-4-development-still-rocky-rage-2-canned/">Report: Doom 4 development still rocky, Rage 2 canned</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Apr 2013 17:00:00 EST. This year's frontrunner is a subtle, hilarious walkthrough video from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dishonored"><em>Dishonored</em></a> co-creators Raf Colantonio and Harvey Smith. The add-on has players taking on the role of Daud, whose assassination of a key figure in Dunwall sets the core story of <em>Dishonored</em> into motion. After the murder, Daud seeks redemption and is visited by The Outsider, a morally ambiguous and ethically flexible supernatural figure.<br /><br />Daud will explore "never-before-seen districts" of Dunwall and search for Delilah, a new name we hadn't heard of before. He will also have access to new weapons and powers not available to the wronged Corvo Attano, the protagonist of <em>Dishonored</em>. The DLC will swarm Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on April 16 for $9.99 (800 MSP).<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/">Dishonored - The Knife of Dunwall</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/#5707563"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/dishonored-rothwild_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/#5707564"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/dishonored-towerassassins_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/#5707566"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/dishonored-whalecarcass_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/#5707567"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/the-knife-of-dunwallkey-art_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dishonored-the-knife-of-kirkwall/#5707571"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/dishonoreddlc2tkodlogo_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/13/dishonoreds-the-knife-of-dunwall-dlc-blinks-in-april/">Dishonored's 'The Knife of Dunwall' DLC comes down in April</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 13 Mar 2013 10:00:00 EST. Inspired by <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/skyrim">Skyrim</a></em>'s official artwork, the poly-stone statues is hand finished and hand painted. The Dov also comes dressed in "hand-tailored fabrics for unparalleled realism." No off-the-rack nonsense for the dragonborn. It's all couture.<br /><br />And, as we all know, couture costs copious amounts of cash. The "Standard Edition" of the statue is $299.99, limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide. For those who believe a dovahkiin uses magic, then they'll want the $329.99 "Exclusive Edition," which adds an alternate arm with fireball that "illuminates and pulses like real fire."<br /><br />The statues are expected to ship via invisible dragons to doorsteps in the fourth quarter of this year.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/12/skyrim-dragonborn-statue-available-for-pre-order/">Skyrim Dragonborn statue available for pre-order</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 12 Mar 2013 22:15:00 EST. What should you do with it? If you're Reddit user Ragebarf, the choice is obvious: You painstakingly create a real-world version of a whalebone rune from <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dishonored"><em>Dishonored</em></a>.<br /><br />The rune design was carved with a Dremel, and the bone itself is affixed to the wooden board with leather straps. The board has been appropriately aged, as has the name plate and, if we do say so, the whole thing is very impressive. Kind of creepy, but impressive nonetheless. Check out pictures of the rune's creation from from start to finish <a href="http://imgur.com/a/uSuto">right here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/22/this-homemade-dishonored-whalebone-rune-is-cool-a-little-creepy/">This homemade Dishonored whalebone rune is cool, a little creepy</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Feb 2013 23:15:00 EST. The site now also features logos for both Bethesda Softworks and Human Head Studios, <em>Prey 2</em>'s publisher and developer, respectively.<br /><br />Furthermore, the hidden message in the site's source code has been expanded. Previously reading "Tommy needs your help," it now reads "Tommy needs your help with a stranded human who wants to go home." The message refers to Tommy, the protagonist from the original <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/prey"><em>Prey</em></a>, who plays an important role in the sequel.<br /><br />You might think that using official logos would substantiate the site's legitimacy, but apparently that's not so, according to Bethesda. A spokesperson tells Joystiq, "I don't know what that is or who is doing it. It's not something we're doing." So there you have it.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/22/bethesda-prey-2-teaser-site-is-not-something-were-doing/">Bethesda: Prey 2 teaser site is 'not something we're doing'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Feb 2013 12:30:00 EST. A recent teaser site sprang up with the URL "<a href="http://www.aliennoire.com/">aliennoire.com</a>" however, and much like any conspiracy theory, all signs from it point to whatever we want them to point to, such as the revival of <em>Prey 2</em>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=511313">NeoGAF</a> users grabbed supposed screens of the site's previous source code that flat-out had the key words "<em>Prey 2</em>" and "Human Head Studios" in it, though the teaser site has seemingly been edited since then to remove those phrases. The cryptic countdown timer (which uses a "South Venusian" font, by the way) is ticking down to March 1. <a href="http://whois.net/whois/aliennoire.com">WhoIs</a> registration info on the domain owner lists a private registrant by the name of "The Collective," with a Tahlequah, Oklahoma address, which happens to be next door to the Cherokee Tribal Administration. Coupled with the phrase "Tommy needs your help," which is still in the teaser site's source code, these two clues would certainly hint at the main character of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/prey"><em>Prey</em></a>, a Cherokee mechanic and former soldier.<br /><br />The teaser site might not be associated with Bethesda or Human Head Studios in any way, even if the logo at the top of the page looks strikingly similar to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/screenshots/prey-2-quakecon-2011#/9">signs</a> from previous <em>Prey 2</em> screens. We reached out to Bethesda just to make sure we're not <em>too</em> crazy, as there's still no definitive sign that this is entirely legit.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/02/rumor-countdown-site-hints-at-prey-2-reveal-on-march-1/">Rumor: Countdown site hints at Prey 2 reveal on March 1</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 02 Feb 2013 16:30:00 EST. Bethesda Softworks has released seven of its game soundtracks to the mom and pop record shop known as "iTunes."<br /><br />The Elder Scrolls soundtracks, all composed by Jeremy Soule, include <em>Morrowind</em> and <em>Oblivion</em> for $9.99 each, while <em>Skyrim</em> asks an imperial premium at $15.99.<br /><br /><em>Fallout 3</em> and <em>Fallout: New Vegas</em>, both by Inon Zur, are $11.99 apiece. Daniel Licht's soundtrack for <em>Dishonored</em> and Rod Abernethy's <em>RAGE</em> are $9.99 each.<br /><br />If you're trying to use the Elder Scrolls tracks in a surreal experience, try playing them on your iPod while walking around a city. At any rate, Arkane Studios' whale-punk powerhouse will be available through Microsoft's digital distribution platform on Tuesday, January 29, for an indeterminate price.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/cabelas-dangerous-hunts-2013"><em>Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013</em></a> will also be available on Games on Demand next Tuesday, accompanied by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/catherine"><em>Catherine</em></a>'s European, Middle Eastern and Asian releases on the service. Meanwhile, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/just-dance-4"><em>Just Dance 4</em></a>'s "Dance Pack 4" DLC boogies onto XBLA for 240 MS Points, while various <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/max-payne-3"><em>Max Payne 3</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/red-dead-redemption"><em>Red Dead Redemption</em></a> DLC packs are marked down by 50 percent until January 28.<br /><br />So! If you've been dishonored by a dangerous hunt, or are feeling max-payne over Catherine, or were told to "just dance for redemption" at gunpoint during a bank heist, Tuesday might be an emotional trigger day for you. Otherwise, enjoy your digitally distributed whatever.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/15/dishonored-sneaks-onto-games-on-demand-next-week/">Dishonored sneaks onto Games on Demand next week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 15 Jan 2013 17:30:00 EST. The add-on is scheduled to launch tomorrow for Xbox 360, as part of <em>Skyrim</em>'s exclusivity window for the platform.<br /><br />The PC launch falls in line with previously released <em>Skyrim</em> packs "Dawnguard" and "Hearthfire," while the PS3 announcement is a bit of a surprise. Although the publisher had previously stated DLC was "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/08/skyrim-dlc-close-for-ps3-says-bethesda/">close</a>" for PS3, this latest announcement only recognizes "Dragonborn." We've followed up with Bethesda for clarification and will update when we hear back.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: Bethesda responded to our specific request for clarification about "Dawnguard" and "Hearthfire" for PS3 by stating: "We think Dragonborn is our best add-on for Skyrim yet and we didn't want fans to wait long, so that's our current focus. Each platform takes a lot of time and attention."<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/">Skyrim (Dragonborn)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/#5435633"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/dragonborn-ashspawn_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/#5435634"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/dragonborn-blackbook_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/#5435635"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/dragonborn-cultist_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/#5435636"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/dragonborn-dragonpeak_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/skyrim-dragonborn/#5435637"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/dragonborn-dragonskeleton_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/03/skyrims-dragonborn-dlc-flies-to-pc-ps3-in-2013-on-tap-tomor/">Skyrim's 'Dragonborn' DLC flies to PC, PS3 in 2013; on tap tomorrow for Xbox 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 03 Dec 2012 13:00:00 EST. Another trophy is for finishing the campaign on 'Ultra Nightmare difficulty,' suggesting the DLC includes a new difficulty level even tougher than plain ol' Nightmare setting.<br /><br />The trophies are backed up by a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/19/rage-the-scorchers-pops-up-on-pegi-smells-like-dlc-to-us/">PEGI listing </a>from earlier this year for 'Rage: The Scorchers,' content rated for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. id Software founder John Carmack has also said mod tools which were supposed to ship with <em>Rage</em> were coming to the game "soon." It's just speculation, but if the DLC is accurate it may coincide with their release.<br /><br />We've reached out to Bethesda for confirmation of the DLC.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/30/rage-is-getting-the-scorchers-dlc-soon-new-trophies-suggest/">Rage is getting 'The Scorchers' DLC soon, new trophies suggest</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 Nov 2012 09:30:00 EST. However, <em>Doom</em> and <em>Doom 2</em> are only $5 apiece separately, so we have no idea how this math is working out for the BFG bundle.<br /><br />Perhaps the premium is for The Lost Missions, or the ability to wield the flashlight and gun <em>simultaneously</em>? Anyway, wait a month and all of this will be $3 during some Steam holiday sale.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/12/doom-3-normal-edition-available-on-steam-again/">Doom 3 (:Normal Edition) available on Steam again</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 12 Nov 2012 19:30:00 EST. The <a href="https://twitter.com/BGS_Devs/status/266310658306473985">tweet</a> is in reference to the latest bit of DLC with an Xbox 360 <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/05/skyrim-dragonborn-dlc-out-on-xbox-360-dec-4/">exclusivity window</a>, but it's the first real glimmer of hope PS3 owners have had for <em>Skyrim</em> DLC, which has yet to make its way to the console.<br /><br />The latest update we had on <em>Skyrim</em> DLC for PS3 was in early October, when Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines wrote on <a href="https://twitter.com/DCDeacon/status/253923130207248385">Twitter</a> he had no new information on PS3 DLC and would share an update when he had one.<br /><br />We reached out to the company this morning to clarify that it was referring to the <em>Dawnguard</em> and <em>Hearthfire</em> DLC specifically for PS3. We'll update when we hear back.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: Bethesda informs us it's not clarifying further. A rep tells us, "It simply is meant to inform fans new content is coming to PC and PS3."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/08/skyrim-dlc-close-for-ps3-says-bethesda/">Skyrim DLC 'close' for PS3, says Bethesda</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 08 Nov 2012 09:30:00 EST. First noticed by <a href="http://www.examiner.com/article/first-images-and-details-for-premium-edition-of-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim">Examiner</a>, the bundle includes a world map, T-shirt, postcards, physical novel and a bonus disk with special features.<br /><br />Bethesda tells us the premium edition is "only available in certain territories in Europe," going on to specifically list Germany, UK and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benelux">Benelux</a>.<br /><br />The pack does not appear to contain any of Skyrim's previously released downloadable content. According to publisher Bethesda this is not a bug.<br /><br />"<em>Doom</em> 1 and 2 are the same games that are currently available on Xbox Live. Installing <em>Doom BFG</em> files to the system's hard drive could cause a conflict with the existing XBLA game files," a Bethesda spokesperson told Joystiq. "Players should not see a performance advantage by installing <em>Doom 3</em>, so we recommend not installing the game to the Xbox HDD."<br /> <br />They added, "If people do install <em>DOOM 3 BFG Edition</em> to their hard drive, they should still be able to access both titles from the Xbox Live Dashboard under 'My Games'."<br /><br />[Thanks, Justin]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/18/psa-dont-install-doom-3-on-xbox-360-if-you-want-to-play-doom-1/">PSA: Don't install Doom 3 on Xbox 360 if you want to play Doom 1 &amp; 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Oct 2012 16:30:00 EST.
