Pachter and Pidgeon are back and no, it's not an original USA comedy about two bumbling analysts that can't catch a break ... though we'll be sure to call our agents and see if we can setup a pitch. No, our two favorite tellers of the future (sorry, Raven) return in part two of Bonus Rounds' episode about analysts.

This time, the focus is less on what they do and more on what it is they're predicting -- "it" of course, being the console war. Do watch for a fantastic analogy from Michael Pachter. Spoiler: Xbox 360 is to Victoria's Secret as Wii is to The Gap.

Everyone's favorite Wedbush-Morgan analyst, Michael Pachter, joins IDC's Billy Pidgeon for this weeks episode of Bonus Round, focusing on video game analysts. Throughout their interview with Geoff Keighley, one thing is made abundantly clear: they're not doing their job for us, the players, but for the serious investors out there.

That said, the question that seems to pop up every time their comments filter their way through the media is, "Why should we listen to them in the first place?"

Michael Pachter says, "Nobody should listen to me on my opinion about anything." That would be a legendary quote right there, but Pachter continues, "... Except whether one of the companies I cover is going to meet or miss an earnings estimate and how they're going to perform going forward." Curses. You win this round, Pachter! Insightful as well as educational, it's another episode of Bonus Round worth checking out.

Today's most-watched GameTrailers video is part three of the site's Bonus Round look at the Wii. These roundtable sequences -- albeit without the table -- feature musician Tommy Tallarico, analyst Michael Pachter, and game producer Peter Wanat sharing their opinions on the Wii.

The industry personalities are worth a listen, although we're most anticipating to the fourth -- and final -- episode; it's billed as their thoughts on the long-term prospects of the Wii.
