<br />
Indie Royale is back once again with the <a href="http://www.indieroyale.com/">Mayhem Bundle</a>, featuring a "mix-up of anarchic indie games." As such, the games in the bundle include post-apocalyptic shooters, a zombie burner, a demonic child simulator and ... a Zen-like puzzle game. Okay, so <em>most</em> of the games seem to hit the mark.<br />
<br />
All in all, the bundle features <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/burn-zombie-burn"><em>Burn Zombie Burn</em></a>, <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/lucius"><em>Lucius</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/plain-sight"><em>Plain Sight</em></a>, <em>Alien Shooter 2: Concription</em>, <em>Primal Fear</em> and - the puzzle game - <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/droplitz"><em>Droplitz</em></a>. There's also a mystery seventh game, but we don't know what it is - because it's a mystery. The current minimum price for the bundle is just over five bucks.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/13/indie-royale-mayhem-bundle-features-burning-zombies-demon-child/">Indie Royale Mayhem Bundle features burning zombies, demon children</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 13 May 2013 15:15:00 EST. <br />
The second offering is a PlayStation 3 <em>Everybody Dance</em> bundle. The box includes a 320 gigglebyte console, Move controller, PS Eye and <em>Everybody Dance</em>. It's launch day for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/playstation-move">PlayStation Move</a>, which could prove to be ... tricky for gamers.<br />
<br />
Listen, we know how it is. Day one of any new technobauble brings a sort of gravitational force pulling you towards your nearest retailer, urging you to succumb to the sweet, sweet siren song of "I have it and you don't." If you think we're not fighting its dulcet tones <em>as we write this</em>, you're sadly mistaken.<br />
<br />
But there's every chance you don't <em>need</em> the Move right now and can stave off the inevitable a few more weeks or months. Of course, there's an equal chance you need it right now -- and you had no idea. We don't know you, and we can't make this decision on your behalf.<br />
<br />
Luckily, <em>you </em>know you, so we're making it our mission to equip you with all the knowledge you need to either fend off the call of the Move or convince yourself buying it was your idea <em>all along</em>. Once you've digested the info past the jump, hop down to the comments and let us know if you'll be picking one up, or share your first impressions if you've already pulled the trigger.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/17/playstation-move-launch-day-all-you-need-to-know/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PlayStation Move launch day: All you need to know</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/17/playstation-move-launch-day-all-you-need-to-know/">PlayStation Move launch day: All you need to know</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 Sep 2010 11:50:00 EST. Sony is planning an "aggressive" marketing campaign around the new peripheral when it launches later this year and -- similar to Microsoft's launch plans for <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/project-natal">Project Natal</a> -- it will treat the launch of the PlayStation Move as a separate "platform launch."<br />
<br />
There will be multiple bundles, including a bundle that includes a PlayStation 3 console, the PlayStation Move and the PlayStation Eye. Furthermore, the company will launch a starter pack, which includes a PlayStation Move, a PlayStation Eye and an unnamed game all for under $100.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/10/playstation-move-bundles-announced-starter-kit-under-100/">PlayStation Move bundles announced, starter kit under $100</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 Mar 2010 19:30:00 EST. We're devoted fans of the <a href="http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/02/exclusive-ffxiii-splinter-cell-xbox-360-250gb-bundles.ars">Ars Technica</a> mole, who has nailed big stories like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/28/ars-mole-says-slimmer-ps3-coming-in-august-or-sept/">the PS3 Slim</a> and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/23/rumor-xbox-360-to-receive-red-sident-evil-5-bundle/">Resident Evil 5 bundle</a>. As a result, we feel pretty comfortable getting excited about two new Xbox 360 bundles Ars highlights today. The first, a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/splinter-cell-conviction"><em>Splinter Cell: Conviction</em></a>-themed bundle,<font size="3" face="Arial" style="font-size: 12px;"> will reportedly include a not-in-any-way-branded system packing a 250GB hard drive, two black controllers and the game, all for $400.</font> The other bundle will, according to Ars, have all the same specs except with <em>Final Fantasy XIII</em> and white controllers.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.videogamer.com/news/star_trek_and_transformers_xbox_360_bundles_incoming.html">VideoGamer.com</a> is reporting that a supplement in this week's issue of <em>MCV</em> is advertising two new Xbox 360 Elite bundles. Both bundles are themed around recent movie releases, specifically <em>Star Trek</em> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/transformers-2"><em>Transformers 2</em></a>. The <em>Star Trek</em> bundle comes with an extra controller, a copy of J.J. Abrams' <em>Star Trek</em> stored on a USB drive -- shaped like the Star Fleet logo -- as well as 800<img alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> with which to buy "<em>Star Trek PDLC</em>." Let's just hope you don't <em>have</em> to waste those points on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/star-trek-dac"><em>Star Trek D-A-C</em></a>. A <em>Transformers 2</em> bundle is in the works as well, featuring an extra controller, a copy of the movie on a Bumblebee-shaped USB drive and the <em>Transformers 2</em> game.<br /> <br /> Release date, pricing, and the size of the included hard drive (120GB or "Super Elite" 250GB) are not specified in the ad. However, as <em>MCV</em> is a UK magazine, it's possible these are <em>only</em> destined for that region. We'd be hard-pressed to tell potential buyers which one bundle is the better but, but we <em>will</em> say that only one of them goes <em>where no one has gone before</em>. And the other one is <em>Transformers</em>.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/29/new-movie-themed-elite-bundles-for-the-uk/">New movie-themed Elite bundles for the UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Oct 2009 06:00:00 EST. Earlier this week, we got our hands on a few European GameStop <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/21/rumor-handful-of-250gb-ps3-bundles-heading-to-europe/">listings</a> for 250GB PS3 bundles. Earlier today, <a href="http://www.scee.presscentre.com/Content/Detail.asp?ReleaseID=4859&amp;NewsAreaID=2">SCEE</a> and <a href="http://www.edge-online.com/news/sce-uk-announces-250gb-ps3-bundles">SCE UK</a> confirmed the hardware packages and included games. Earlier this hour, we went to Whole Foods and purchased some <em>really</em> crisp bok choy. (Sorry. We got into a rhythm there.)<br /> <br /> Europeans will have their choice of <a href="http://www.scee.presscentre.com/Content/Detail.asp?ReleaseID=4859&amp;NewsAreaID=2">two bundles</a>, both of which will be made available throughout October. One of the collections includes <em>Need for Speed: Shift</em>, while the other includes <em>FIFA 10</em>. Needless to say, both bundles come with the recently GB-boosted console. A price point for these two bundles has not been specified, but we've contacted Sony for clarification.<br /><br /> Bizarrely enough, the UK's getting a <a href="http://www.edge-online.com/news/sce-uk-announces-250gb-ps3-bundles">different set</a> of bundles than the rest of the continent. On October 1, United Kingdomites will have their choice of a 250GB PS3 bundled with <em>Infamous</em> or two unnamed Platinum Hits. Their options will be further expanded on October 16 with the release of an <em>Uncharted 2</em> bundle, and once more on October 19 with a bundle that includes the <em>X-Men Origins: Wolverine</em> and <em>The Dark Knight </em>films on Blu-ray and a film-friendly remote control.<br /><br />SCE UK has graciously provided a price for its bundles -- &pound;284.99 ($450) -- making it our certified <em>favourite </em>European Sony chapter of the day. That's as legit as being knighted by the Queen, you know.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> After the break, we've posted a snapshot of the <em>FIFA</em> bundle provided by a GameStop employee in Norway.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/25/250gb-ps3-slim-bundles-also-coming-to-europe/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>250GB PS3 Slim bundles also coming to Europe [update]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/25/250gb-ps3-slim-bundles-also-coming-to-europe/">250GB PS3 Slim bundles also coming to Europe [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 Sep 2009 13:01:00 EST. Aussie reader, if you've been salivating over the prospect of owning a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/18/fcc-document-indicates-sony-planning-250gb-ps3-slim/">250GB PS3 Slim</a>, know your day is coming. SCE Australia has <a href="http://au.playstation.com/games-media/news/articles/detail/item235526/250GB-PS3-announced/">confirmed</a> the console is headed down under and will be bundled with one of the following titles:<br />
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/uncharted-2"><em>Uncharted 2: Among Thieves</em></a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ratchet-and-clank-a-crack-in-time"><em>Ratchet &amp; Clank: A Crack in Time</em></a></li>
    <li><em>Singstar Motown</em></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/eyepet"><em>EyePet</em></a></li>
</ul>
The bundles will go on sale starting October 15 and retail for $599.95RRP, coinciding with the release date of <em>Uncharted 2</em>. Perfect timing! You're going to need every last one of those <em>gigglebytes</em> to store the countless <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/01/naughty-dog-shows-off-uncharted-2s-machinima-tools/">Machinima fan fictions</a> you've already concocted in your head.<br /><br />[Thanks, Adrian]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/24/australia-getting-several-250gb-ps3-bundles/">Australia to receive several 250GB PS3 bundles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 Sep 2009 14:29:00 EST. <br />Joystiq has obtained official box art for an apparent Xbox 360 peripheral bundle. Diving a hand into the "popcorn" box (warning: contents inedible), one looks to pull out the following:<br />
<ul>
    <li>(1) Mini Universal Media Remote (the original Pro pack-in!)<br /></li>
    <li>(1) Wireless Network Adapter (apparently <em>not</em> the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/xbox-360-wireless-network-adapter-802-11n/2310633/full/">802.11n version</a>)</li>
    <li>(1) Xbox Live 3-Month Gold Card</li>
    <li>(1) 800 Microsoft Points Card</li>
    <li>(0) No <em>actual</em> popcorn</li>

While our mole may not be as prolific or mysterious as some others' we <em>do</em> have an inside man/woman who sent us these images of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/22/ars-mole-predicts-holiday-360-bundle-network-adapter-price-cut/">rumored</a> Xbox 360 Elite Holiday 2009 Bundle. With the inclusion of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Pure/"><em>Pure</em></a><em> </em>and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/lego-batman"><em>Lego Batman</em></a> the bundle certainly looks legit, and we think it's a safe bet this is what you'll be seeing on shelves this holiday season.<br /> <br /> Also: "It's More Fun Time on Xbox 360" is a very bad slogan. <em>The Beatles: Rock Band SingStar</em> bundle has arrived at UK retailers for &pound;49.99 ($81.87). Only after being <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/19/rumored-singstar-beatles-is-a-beatles-rock-band-microphone-p/">half-announced by MTV Games</a>, showing up on an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/17/australian-retailer-reveals-singstar-mic-bundle-for-the-beatle/">Australian retailer website</a>, and then vaguely detailed in a <a href="http://ea.gamespress.com/link.asp?i=1191&amp;r=8417&amp;r2=6378">press release</a> from today, are we able to bring you this news. Is it coming to other territories? That's a good question! <br /><br />We asked EA, who gave us a laundry list of launch dates for various European and African countries (listed after the break). Unfortunately, we were told that the exclusion of North America from the list means that the publisher currently has no intention of bringing the microphone bundle Stateside. Sorry, aspiring North American crooners!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/22/ea-confirms-the-beatles-rock-band-singstar-mic-pack-for-uk-oth/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>EA confirms The Beatles: Rock Band SingStar mic pack for UK, other territories</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/22/ea-confirms-the-beatles-rock-band-singstar-mic-pack-for-uk-oth/">EA confirms The Beatles: Rock Band SingStar mic pack for UK, other territories</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 Sep 2009 17:59:00 EST. We hope at this point we don't have to sell you on the validity of Ars Technica's mole. Whoever the guy/girl is, their track record is fantastic, after correctly predicting everything from <a href="http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/01/exclusive-microsoft-to-get-resident-evil-5-bundle-red-360s.ars">the <em>Resident Evil 5 </em>360 bundle</a> to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/26/rumor-ars-technica-mole-foretells-ps3-and-360-price-drop-in-fal/">price cuts the 360 and PS3 just enjoyed</a>. This morning, Joystiq received two images, from an alleged Norwegian GameStop employee, in which multiple PlayStation 3 250GB game bundle SKUs are visibly on display. In one image, claimed to be an internal email to all Norwegian GameStop employees, instructions on the difference between the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/10/rumor-three-different-250gb-ps3-bundles-hitting-the-uk-in-octob/">rumored 250GB PS3 bundles</a> and the current 120GB PS3 are found. The email "there is no difference" aside from storage space and posits four possible "PS3 250GB" bundles: One paired with "NFS" (presumably <em>Need for Speed: Shift</em>); another with "FIFA" (presumably <em>FIFA 10</em>); a third with <em>Uncharted 2</em>; and the final one with <em>Assassin's Creed 2</em>. <br /><br />In the second image, our anonymous tipster supposedly snapped what looks to be the familiar GameStop clerk inventory screen, albeit with commands in Norwegian. It suggests yet another 250GB PS3 bundle, this time with "Ratchet" (presumably <em>Ratchet &amp; Clank Future: A Crack in Time</em>) attached. If we're to trust these images, the bundles will be priced at 3799 kr ($644.16), a 500 kr ($84.78) increase from the current price of a 120GB PS3 Slim at Norwegian GameStops. No release dates are given.<br /><br />We were told last week by Sony of America that an image of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/16/250gb-hdd-uncharted-2-playstation-3-bundle-spotted/"><em>Uncharted 2</em> PS3 250GB bundle</a> was a "complete fabrication," and as such we've contacted Sony of America as well as Sony of Europe for comment on these images. We'll update this post as we hear more.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gamestop-norway-ps3-250gb-bundle-images/">GameStop Norway PS3 250GB Bundle Images</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gamestop-norway-ps3-250gb-bundle-images/#2304973"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/gamestopposscreencopy223_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gamestop-norway-ps3-250gb-bundle-images/#2304972"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/emailgamestopnorwayblurredcopy223_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/21/rumor-handful-of-250gb-ps3-bundles-heading-to-europe/">Rumor: Handful of 250GB PS3 bundles heading to Europe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Sep 2009 12:50:00 EST. Play.com continues to do its best to make the PS3 as affordable as possible, despite Sony's refusal to cut price. Two new bundles allow you to pick up an 80GB PS3 along with a whole load of extra goodies for no additional cost. The <a href="http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/8029330/Sony-PlayStation-3-PS3-Console-with-80GB-HDD-+-James-Bond-Quantum-Of-Solace-+-Batman-Begins-+-Blu-ray-Remote-Control-+-LittleBigPlane/Product.html">first bundle</a> sticks a &pound;300 price tag on an 80GB system, Batman Begins Blu-ray, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/quantum-of-solace"><em>Quantum of Solace</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/littlbigplanet"><em>LittleBigPlanet</em></a> and a Blu-ray remote. The <a href="http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/8029356/Sony-PlayStation-3-PS3-Console-with-80GB-HDD-+-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-+-300-+-Blu-ray-Remote-Control-+-LittleBigPlanet/Product.html">second bundle</a> swaps out <em>Quantum of Solace</em> for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/GTAIV"><em>Grand Theft Auto IV</em></a> and Batman Begins for 300.<br /><br />Quality bundles, we're sure you agree. A great improvement on the "PS3 + 1 game for &pound;310" bundles that we're so used to. So if you haven't taken the PS3 plunge yet, now might be the perfect time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/20/deal-ps3-2-games-blu-ray-remote-300/">Deal: PS3 + 2 games + Blu-ray + remote = £300</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Nov 2008 09:20:00 EST. Famitsu has already spoiled one of Sony's TGS surprises, but don't worry. You probably won't be that interested anyway. A couple of Japanese hardware bundles were <a href="http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/917/917301p1.html?RSSwhen2008-10-08_000600&amp;RSSid=917301">revealed</a> via Famitsu. The 80GB model will be hitting the region in two flavors. The first bundles <em>Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III</em> with an 80GB system and a DualShock 3 for 39,800 yen ($398/&euro;292). What's <em>Spec III</em>? Again, don't get too excited. It's a Blu-ray release of <em>Gran Turismo 5 Prologue</em>, including all the patched in features and content. Because Japanese people hate connecting their PS3s to the internet. <br /><br />The second bundle will be known as the "PlayStation 3 <em>LittleBigPlanet</em> Dream Box" and will obviously include <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/littlebigplanet"><em>LittleBigPlanet</em></a> along with an 80GB (in either black, silver or white) and two DualShock 3s. The box will also be covered in artwork of Sackboy<em>. </em>The Japanese will be able to pick this up for 44,980 yen (450/&euro;329). <em>LittleBigPlanet</em> will also be bundled with DualShock 3 controllers, saving customers almost $35 in comparison to purchasing the items separately. Early copies of the game will come with a code to download an <em>Ape Escape</em> monkey costume. Hopefully, this isn't the extent of Sony's announcements at TGS tomorrow. We'll be there to bring you any interesting info from the show.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/08/japan-gets-gran-turismo-littlebigplanet-80gb-bundles/">Japan gets Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet 80GB bundles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 Oct 2008 12:30:00 EST. The previously announced <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/20/psp-3000-features-enhanced-screen-and-built-in-microphone/">European PSP-3000 bundles</a> might not see their way across the English channel. According to <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/sony-casts-doubt-on-uk-psp-3000-bundles_8">GamesIndustry.biz</a>, The bundles for the silver PSP-Brite with <em>Ratchet &amp; Clank: Size Matters</em> and the black PSP-Brite with a 4GB Memory Stick remain a continental affair that <em>might</em> not be seen in the UK at all. That leaves Britons with future packs for <em>Go! </em>communication<em>,</em> <em>FIFA</em>, <em>Harry Potter</em>, and <em>Buzz! Master Quiz</em>. <br /><br />In addition to this, Sony corrected previously known information regarding British prices and dates, saying that the &pound;149.99 price tag and October 17 date are set for a bundle yet to be revealed. A stand-alone system will be released in the UK sometime after the launch of the new bundles. <br /><br />As for the rest of Europe, you should not worry. You're still getting all eight promised bundles with the <em>R&amp;C</em> pack hitting the market first on October 15 for &euro;199.99 as previously announced. The 4GB Memory pack will release across the European continent in "early November."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/03/sony-clarifies-uk-psp-3000-release/">Sony clarifies UK PSP-3000 release</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Sep 2008 10:40:00 EST. There sure are a lot of PSP bundles out there. IGN PSP (having nothing better to do) compared all the Entertainment Pack bundles announced by Sony. Which one gets the win? Will <em>Daxter</em>'s attractive combination of 1GB Memory Stick and Family Guy UMD win out, or will <em>God of War</em>'s bloody combo of Superbad and <span style="font-style: italic;">Syphon Filter: Combat Ops </span>win the hearts of the IGN editors?<br /><br />The winning choice is the <em>Daxter</em> pack. According to the IGN editors, "if you're starting from scratch, the <em>Daxter </em>Pack gives you an engaging game, funny UMD, and enough memory to get your PSP on its feet." Of course, if you already have a Memory Stick, you can't do wrong with the <em>God of War</em> pack. For PSP newbies, however, we totally agree with IGN's recommendation.<br /><br /><center><script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.pollsb.com/w/3040085"></script> </center><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/17/ign-compares-all-the-psp-bundles/">IGN compares all the PSP bundles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Jun 2008 12:25:00 EST. While we've known for some time that the "Gun Metal Gray" PlayStation 3 bundle -- featuring a shiny 40GB model, a matching DualShock 3 controller and a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/10/ugh-metal-gear-solid-4-limited-edition-exclusively-at-gamestop/">Limited Edition</a> copy of geriatric sneakfest, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mgs4"><em>Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots</em></a> -- would be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/10/gunmetal-grey-playstation-3-mgs4-bundle-coming-to-na/">available to Americans</a>, we didn't know until now that it would only be available to Americans logging onto <a href="http://www.konami.com/Konami/ctl3810/cp20111/si3327390/cl1/metal_gear_solid_4_limited_edition_playstation3_bundle">Konami's website</a>. Online and inevitably scarce pre-orders for the $599.99 package will start on May 19th, so you'd better get clicking if you want Snake and Gray Box to face off in your living room.<br /><br />No, we mean it. Judging by Konami's labyrinthine sign-up process for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/metal-gear-online"><em>Metal Gear Online</em></a> Beta, you'll need at least several days to prepare a registration, obtain an ID, convert that into e-currency, trade it in for the microfilm, enter the password, steal the key code, write the secret URL on a postcard and summon Hideo Kojima in an arcane ritual.<br /><br /><strong>Note: </strong>This bundle is different from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/26/499-80gb-ps3-bundle-includes-mgs-4-dualshock-3/">regular, $499 MGS4 bundle</a> which includes an 80GB PS3 and a DualShock 3.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/15/mgs4-gun-metal-gray-ps3-bundle-exclusive-to-konami-website/">MGS4 'Gun Metal Gray' PS3 bundle exclusive to Konami website</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 May 2008 16:00:00 EST. A new Playstation 3 bundle will go on sale in the UK this Friday, featuring two first-party titles along with the 40GB model of the PS3, <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=32076">GamesIndustry.biz reports</a>.<br /><br />The bundle, which will retail for &pound;349.99 GBP, allows consumers to pick two games from a list of first-party titles to accompany the console. The list includes big 2007 titles like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/uncharted"><em>Uncharted: Drake's Fortune</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ratchet&amp;clank"><em>Ratchet &amp; Clank: Tools of Destruction</em></a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/singstar"><em>SingStar</em></a> (with microphones). With the 40GB PS3 normally priced at &pound;299.99, this deal probably won't incite a voracious demand for the console, but it is a nice way to pick up a few games on the cheap with a new system.<br /><br />Full list of titles available through the offer after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/14/sony-announces-new-ps3-bundle-for-uk/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sony announces new PS3 bundle for UK</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/14/sony-announces-new-ps3-bundle-for-uk/">Sony announces new PS3 bundle for UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Jan 2008 09:00:00 EST. Yeah, well <em>jerk</em>, that's the <em>exact look</em> Reggie Fils-Aime is giving you <em>right now</em>, should you happen to be one of those retailers <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/28/british-retailers-going-bundle-crazy/">forcing</a> consumers to buy bloated Wii bundles.<br /><br />Chatting to Reuters, Reggie stated that Nintendo was "not [a] big fan" of the practice, and pointed out that bundling the Wii in such a manner "masked" the price advantage enjoyed by the console over its rivals. Not that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/26/wiis-going-for-tons-of-money-on-ebay/">high prices</a> seem to be putting many people off, but we certainly see his point.<br /><br />Reggie also said that retailers had been informed of Nintendo's displeasure over the matter, before ominously adding "We don't have to remind retailers of the strength we have right now. We are simply making an observation and that reinforces our point quite nicely with retailers." You tell 'em, Reginald.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=31791">Go Nintendo</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/18/wii-bundles-do-not-make-reggie-a-happy-bunny/">Wii bundles do not make Reggie a happy bunny</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Dec 2007 14:15:00 EST. <br />Over at the always entertaining <a href="http://www.ukresistance.co.uk">UK: Resistance</a>, resident jaded cynic Cmdr_Zorg has a few strong words to say about certain UK retailers, specifically those who refuse to play fair when it comes to the increasingly rare Wii.<br /><br />The source of Zorg's chagrin? That said merchants are now using the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/26/wiis-going-for-tons-of-money-on-ebay/">insane popularity</a> of the Wii and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/20/brits-cant-find-wii-for-love-nor-money/">crippling shortages</a> to flog desperate consumers bundles which are, to put it charitably, a load of old bumwash. Electronics chain <a href="http://www.dixons.co.uk/">Dixons</a> is one of the culprits in this growing trend, with its <em>cheapest</em> Wii bundle clocking in at &pound;350 ($725). All have sold out, presumably to people who would normally have lol'd heartily at the idea of buying <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/13/ea-asks-if-you-think-youre-a-smarty-pants/"><em>Smarty Pants</em></a>.<br /><br />Admittedly, some of the bundles being offered by Dixons contain <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/08/meta-video-review-super-mario-galaxy/">titles</a> that every one of us should own, but that's not the point: let <em>us </em>make those decisions!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/28/british-retailers-going-bundle-crazy/">British retailers going bundle crazy</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 28 Nov 2007 12:00:00 EST. If you've yet to get yourself an Xbox 360 in this post-<em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Halo3/">Halo 3</a></em> world, Microsoft is of a mind to sway you with fast cars and terrifyingly tight pants this holiday season. <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archive/2007/10/08/553771.aspx">New Xbox 360 bundles</a> (yep, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/13/rumor-new-xbox-360-bundles-due-for-the-holidays/" target="_blank">these ones</a>) are set to arrive "retail-wide by the end of October," with both the $349.99 "Pro" and the $449.99 Elite models offering two games at no extra charge -- racing sim <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/forza2"><em>Forza Motorsport 2</em></a> and supervillain clobberfest, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/MarvelUltimateAlliance/">Marvel Ultimate Alliance</a></em>. <br /> <br /> Though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pgr4"><em>Project Gotham Racing 4</em></a>'s arcade styling would have held more general appeal than <em>Forza</em>'s serious nitty-gritty, the latter's unquestionably a fine game for a freebie. The same holds true for <em>Marvel Ultimate Alliance</em>, a fun and accessible adventure both online and off. Kotaku, our friendly blogging neighbours, have solved The Case of the New PS3 Bundle. Contacting SCEE directly, they were able to determine that while the new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/heavenlysword"><em>Heavenly Sword</em></a> plus <em>Formula 1</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/05/rumour-sony-to-announce-a-heavenly-sword-formula-1-eu-starter/">bundle</a> <em>is</em> real, it's only going to be available in France and will be released there on September 19th. <br /><br />SCEE also confirmed that each European market is able to set up their own starter pack deals, which is why this one is only available in France. No doubt we'll be seeing more of these bundles come out in various countries with different games in each. First one to release the <em>Heavenly Sword + <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Warhawk/">Warhawk</a></em> pack wins.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/06/heavenly-sword-formula-1-bundle-confirmed-for-france/">Heavenly Sword + Formula 1 bundle confirmed ... for France</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Sep 2007 09:00:00 EST. The industrious Frenchmen of <a href="http://www.gamick.fr/2007/08/chacun-son-pack.html">gamick.fr</a> say they spied the above image at a Microsoft marketing site that pretty clearly depicts a new 360 bundles for the Elite model, packed with <em>Forza 2</em> and <em>Marvel Ultimate Alliance</em>. (A Premium model version was <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/just-in-time-for-the-holidays/new-360-double-game-bundles-discovered-288570.php">found later</a>.) There's literally no other information available at this time save for these images, so we don't know if the packs will be priced at the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/07/its-official-xbox-360-price-drop-coming-this-wednesday/">recently slashed rates</a>. Although the sticker does say that they're free, so we're betting that they're basically deal sweeteners.<br /><br />Also, the photos were reportedly labeled as "Holiday Value Bundles" (they seem to have since been removed) so we're guessing they'll be here just in time for your grandma to knit you a sweater instead of buying you one. Adding to this pile of mysteries: The lack of any similar bundle for the Core model ... interesting. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/just-in-time-for-the-holidays/new-360-double-game-bundles-discovered-288570.php">Kotaku</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/13/rumor-new-xbox-360-bundles-due-for-the-holidays/">Rumor: New Xbox 360 bundles due for the holidays</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 13 Aug 2007 11:01:00 EST. <br /><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/square+enix">Square Enix's</a> <em>Wonderful World</em> edition DS Lite marks the first of what we're sure will be many <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/30/two-new-ds-lite-colors-for-japan/">Gloss Silver</a> bundles to grace Japan, but will never -- absolutely never -- see an official release in the states. Wherever he went, Kalam was met with smiling faces. Well, you'd be grinning too if you saw how cheap their games are. Thanks to the black market, popular Nintendo Wii titles are priced as low as $5 in some shops. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=piracy">Piracy</a> has become so widespread in the Southeast Asian country, even Sony <a href="http://www.gameops.net/2007/04/sony-blames-piracy-for-not-releasing.html">admits</a> that most of its Playstation software sold in the Philippines are bootlegged copies.<br /><br />Filipino site <a href="http://www.gameops.net/2007/04/pirated-nintendo-wii-games-and-modchip.html">GameOPS</a> found that many stores also offer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/modchip">modchip</a> installations. For about $51, you can have your system hacked to play these counterfeit games at the local mall or market. Furthermore, some shops advertise console <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/bundle">bundles</a>, selling imported and modded US Wiis with five copied games of your choice for around $450. Similar deals for chipped Xbox 360 systems with 10 pirated titles are actually cheaper at $388.<br /><br />With such a high level of piracy already in place, Nintendo will have a lot to work against when -- or if -- it decides to finally launch the Wii in the Philippines.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/14/pirates-rule-the-philippine-seas/">Pirates rule the Philippine seas</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 May 2007 20:00:00 EST. Tipster HexiJosh was spot on about the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/02/rumor-target-and-toys-r-us-hoarding-wiis-for-sunday/">last</a> TRU Wii hoard, so we have no reason to disbelieve him now when he tells us that Sunday, March 18 is the day to queue up. Still, we're marking this as a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/rumors">rumor</a> just to be safe.<br /><br />He says that Toys R Us stores are getting even larger shipments this time than last time-- his store is getting a minimum of 12 systems-- and that TRU is planning to sell them bundled with <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sonic">Sonic and the Secret Rings</a></em>. We hope these bundles don't cost full price-- bundling is only fun when there's a discount involved, and even then it's kind of annoying.<br /><br />But complaining about bundles misses the point, which is HEY THERE ARE PROBABLY GOING TO BE SOME WIIS FOR SALE. Plan your next weekend accordingly!<br /><br />[Thanks, HexiJosh!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/12/rumor-another-stash-of-wiis-coming-to-toys-r-us/">Rumor: Another stash of Wiis coming to Toys R Us</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 12 Mar 2007 10:35:00 EST. The discount superstore is selling two bundles; one includes a free copy of <em>MotoGP 06 </em>and the other includes <em>Burnout Revenge</em>. The odd thing is my local Wal-Mart doesn't have these special bundles in stock, so can someone confirm that these are actually available?

<a href="http://360stuff.blogspot.com/2006/09/xbox-360-bundled-with-graw-for-400.html">Club Skill</a> reports that Microsoft will release a new 360 Premium bundle on September 30 that incudes a copy of <em>Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfigher</em> and <em>Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged</em> for $399.99. <em>XBLA Unplugged</em> includes 6 titles:<br />

From <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=19588">GamesIndustry.biz</a>:<br /><br /><em>Retail sources have indicated to GamesIndustry.biz that Microsoft is currently planning to price the standalone HD-DVD drive at GBP 199 (293 Euro) [$370] and to package it with two HD-DVD movies. The sources also suggested that Microsoft will bundle the Premium console and next-generation movie player together for under GBP 400 (589 Euro) [$746] - and that the price could even be as low as GBP 375 (552 Euros) [$700].<br /><br /></em>For some reason these unofficial numbers have desperate Sony fanboys in a bold mood. I'm not sure why. The bundle prices mentioned both undercut the premium PS3 in Europe (Subtracting the usual 25% price hike paid by our cousins across the pond, this would indicate the stand-alone drive will sell for less than $300 in the US, including two movies. Personally I predict $200-$250). And of course, the millions of people who either don't have a TV capable of taking advantage of HD-DVD or don't feel like shelling out for an "unproven" format still have a choice with MS. So even if these "high" prices hold, the 360 is still in good position to do battle with the PS3 in Europe this Christmas. Oh yeah, I forgot -- the PS3 is skipping Christmas in Europe. Guess it won't be much of a battle after all.<br /><br />If you need a refresher course on why HD-DVD is better than Blu-Ray anyway (cough...VC1 codec...cough), see <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/19/major-nelson-rips-blu-ray-a-new-one/">here</a>.<br /><em><br /></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/09/hd-dvd-bundles-pricing-rumored/">HD-DVD bundles, pricing rumored</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 09 Sep 2006 18:30:00 EST. This supposed <a href="http://www.gamespot.com/forums/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=24804690&amp;sid=6154119">$399 package</a> doesn't have any fancy HDMI ports or internal HD-DVD drives, but it does have about $85 worth of throw-ins, including <em>PGR3</em>, 1250 MS Points and 3 months of XBL Gold. Is this the recipe for attracting holiday hold-outs?<br /><br />[Thanks Alex]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/18/new-360-bundle-w-pgr3-points-and-live/">New 360 bundle w/ PGR3, points &amp; Live?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Jul 2006 02:00:00 EST.
