As our more astute readers likely gathered from this very post's headline, another week has gone, so it's about time we checked in with <a href="http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/10/06/live-activity-for-week-of-sept-28th.aspx">Major Nelson</a> to see what made his list of the most-played games on Xbox Live. Unsurprisingly, Bungie's dynamic duo of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/halo-3"><em>Halo 3</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/halo-3-odst"><em>Halo 3: ODST</em></a> managed to do well, taking the first and third spots, respectively -- <em>Call of Duty 4</em> was in the second slot, while <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/forza-3"><em>Forza 3</em></a>'s demo managed to get some play time on folks' boxes, taking a tight turn into the seventh place spot. <br />
<br />
On the XBLA side, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/trine-hd"><em>Trials HD</em></a> did backflips to the top of the list, beating out recent releases <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/zombie-apocalypse"><em>Zombie Apocalypse</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/bust-a-move-live"><em>Bust-A-Move Live!</em></a>. The remainder of the XBLA list saw favorites <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/battlefield-1943"><em>Battlefield 1943</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/shadow-complex"><em>Shadow Complex</em></a> rounding out the bottom end of the top five.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/06/xbox-live-top-10-halo-3-trials-hd-forza-3-demo/">Xbox Live Top 10: Halo 3, Trials HD, Forza 3 demo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 06 Oct 2009 14:45:00 EST. <div align="left">This week's Xbox Live Arcade lineup is <em>Madness</em> -- <em>Madness</em>, we tell you! Well, okay, so it includes Hudson's revival of the TurboGrafx-16 classic <em>Military Madness</em>, but also two other releases. Still: <em>Madness!</em> <br /><br /><a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/m/militarymadnessnectaris/"><em>Military Madness: Nectaris</em></a> takes the hex-map strategy game into the era of polygons and -- better yet -- four-person online play. It's going to run 800<img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($10), which is considerably less than a used TG-16, a TurboChip (remember those? If so, you're old) and the original game will cost you on eBay.<br /><br />Another classic strikes back in the form of <em>Bust-A-Move Live</em>, the latest retooling of the bubble-shooting puzzle game that's appeared on every system dating back to the abacus. Did you know it's a spin-off of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/bubble-bobble-neo"><em>Bubble Bobble Neo</em></a> from two weeks back? Well, it is. It's also 800<img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($10).<br /><br />Rounding out the bunch -- and making us thankful that every XBLA game has a trial version -- is <a href="http://www.xbox.com/games/f/footballgeniusxbla/"><em>Football Genius</em></a>, a football trivia game about <em>that </em>kinda football; otherwise known as "soccer" up in here. We'd give the 800<img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> ($10) release a shot ... if our <em>goal </em>was to be bored. (We love you, soccer/footie fans, but c'mon, seriously?)<br /></div>

It looks identical to the Wii's <a href="http://www.bustamoveplus.com/"><em>Bust-a-Move Plus</em></a>, with the exception of online play, and the use of Avatars in Endless Mode. The game will have the same extra DLC; three stage packs containing stages from previous <em>Puzzle Bobble </em>games.<br /><br /><em>Puzzle Bobble Live</em> will be out September 30 in Japan for 800<span class="album_title"><img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /></span>. Good news, puzzle poppers, an Xbox 360 listing for a new <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/xbla">Bust-a-Move</a> </em>title has been spotted <a href="http://www.esrb.org/ratings/synopsis.jsp?Certificate=27002">on the ESRB database </a>by <a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2009/06/22/bust-a-move-live-popping-up-on-xbox-live-arcade/">Siliconera</a>. The new entry in the bubble-popping puzzle series is entitled <em>Bust-a-Move Live!</em> and ... we don't know much else about it. Given that it's on Xbox (probably <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/xbla">Xbox Live Arcade</a>), we would certainly hope it contains Xbox Live play. Siliconera notes that the WiiWare release, <em>Bust-a-Move Plus</em>, has downloadable puzzles, so it's possible we'll see them in the Xbox release as well.<br /><br />Even without downloadable puzzles, <em>Bust-a-Move</em> is one of the better puzzle series out there, and we're glad to see it heading to Xbox 360.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/22/bust-a-move-live-pops-onto-esrb/">Bust-a-Move Live! pops onto ESRB</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Jun 2009 12:45:00 EST.
