Most of us have probably dabbled around with a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator before, but have you ever crammed one into a TARDIS? Those things are supposed to be bigger on the inside than the outside. Anyhow, one man decided that having a dedicated stand-up gaming cabinet wasn't enough, so he built this pillar of geek awesomeness.<br /><br />Check out the two different sections, one on the building of the iconic <a href="http://www.asciimation.co.nz/tardis/">blue Police Box</a>, and the other on the <a href="http://www.asciimation.co.nz/tardis/page2.html#Introduction">console</a>. He even had the 7th doctor, Sylvester McCoy, autograph the thing. Is it still a sin to covet thy neighbor's sci-fi gaming cabinet? If so, mark us down in the "sinner" category.<br /><br />[Thanks, Douglas!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/30/doctor-who-wants-to-time-warp-play-retro-games/">Doctor Who wants to time warp, play retro games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 30 Jul 2008 20:15:00 EST. Or the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Super-Multi-Upright-Arcade-Game/dp/B000IGCBYY/ref=pd_sbs_sg_1/002-1119534-4172064"><em>real thing</em></a> for $2,995? MTV Gamedrop has spotted Amazon selling some pricey wares. The arcade cabinets are being sold by <a href="http://www.dazadi.com/" target="_blank">Dazadi</a>, which claims to use original programming and circuit boards.<br /><br />The particular <em>Ms. Pac-Man</em> cabinet being sold is actually a multi-game machine and includes <em>Pac-Man</em>, <em>Pac Attack</em>, <em>Ms. Pac Attack</em>, <em>Pac-Man Plus</em>, <em>Ms. Pac-Man After Dark</em>, <em>Ultra Pac-Man</em>, and <em>Piranha Pac-Man</em>. As such, it's doubtful that the image provided reflects the actual product; which has been dubbed 'Super Multi Pac Man Upright Arcade Game.'<br /><br />Dazadi's offering doesn't reek quite as bad as the '<a target="_blank" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2005/12/14/scratch-the-midway-arcade-cabinet-off-your-holiday-list/">Midway standup arcade</a>,' but it also retails for thousands more. At three grand a pop, you'd best test these machine before purchasing.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/10/the-price-of-nostalgia-wallet-busting-arcade-cabinets-on-amazon/">The price of nostalgia: wallet-busting arcade cabinets on Amazon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 Jan 2007 22:12:00 EST.
