Four new downloadable games have been made available for May, including a pair of 3DS titles and two WiiWare games.<br /><br /><em>Art Style: Pictobits</em> is the frontrunner for our hard-earned coins, a delightful DSiWare puzzle game ported to the 3DS. <em>Pictobits</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/18/nintendoware-weekly-majoras-mask-and-stuff-that-isnt-majora/">debuted next to <em>Majora's Mask</em></a>, so you may not remember it. The other high-profile game is a 3DS port of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/06/urban-champion-is-the-3dss-latest-3d-classic/">Urban Champion</a></em>, the first fighting game to appear on the NES and quite possibly the worst game to appear on the NES.<br /><br />The two WiiWare games are <em>Snowpack Park</em> and <em>Eco Shooter: Plant 3D</em>. All four games will be available for download until May 31.<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://www.sidequesting.com">Dali</a>.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/01/new-club-nintendo-awards-include-art-style-pictobits-urban-cha/">New Club Nintendo awards include Art Style: Pictobits, Urban Champion</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 May 2012 14:45:00 EST. For April, Nintendo is offering Kenji Eno's WiiWare puzzle game <em>You, Me, and the Cubes</em>; the WiiWare bike retread <em>Excitebike World Rally,</em> and a 3DS-only download of DSiWare shmup <em>Metal Torrent</em> (all right, they <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/25/dsiware-first-look-x-scape-and-metal-torrent/">can't</a> all be winners).<br /><br />As always, these games are also available through your console's online store for regular money, but you have the extra option of trading your fake Club Nintendo currency this month.<br /><br />[Thanks, Adam!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/03/club-nintendo-offers-you-me-the-cubes-excitebike-and-metal-t/">Club Nintendo offers You, Me, the Cubes, Excitebike, and Metal Torrent</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 03 Apr 2012 01:15:00 EST. This month, you can trade your hard-earned Club Nintendo Coins (earned by registering purchased games) for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/art-style-cubello/"><em>Art Style: Cubello</em></a> on WiiWare, or the Game Boy games <em>Mario's Picross</em> and <em>Radar Mission</em> on 3DS eShop. They cost 100 Coins each.<br /><br />As with previous monthly selections, these are all games that you can buy through the Wii Shop or 3DS eShop with real money. You simply have the additional temporary option of using your Club Nintendo stash.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/01/trade-club-nintendo-coins-for-cubello-or-game-boy-virtual-consol/">Trade Club Nintendo Coins for Cubello or Game Boy Virtual Console games this month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Mar 2012 15:00:00 EST. But I don't think there's ever been a Club Nintendo bonus this nice. The <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/24002.do">3DS Game Card Case</a> is both beautiful and genuinely useful, holding 18 DS or 3DS games in a case the size of a single DS game box. That's a rarity among DS game cases.<br /><br />The transparent case comes with four reversible covers, for a surprisingly versatile look. I grabbed some random DS and 3DS cartridges from my desk, stored them in the case, and took some pictures so you can see for yourself. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/">3DS Card Case (Club Nintendo)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/#4792278"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/3dscase2201_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/#4792279"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/3dscase2203_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/#4792280"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/3dscase2206_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/#4792281"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/3dscase2208_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-card-case-club-nintendo/#4792282"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/3dscase2209_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-3ds-card-case-press-shots/">Club Nintendo 3DS Card Case (official shots)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-3ds-card-case-press-shots/#4792295"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/dsgamecardcasebigimage2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-3ds-card-case-press-shots/#4792296"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/dsgamecardcasebigimage3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-3ds-card-case-press-shots/#4792297"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/dsgamecardcasebigimage4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-3ds-card-case-press-shots/#4792298"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/dsgamecardcasebigimage5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/02/club-nintendo-card-case-is-worth-the-fake-money/">Club Nintendo card case is worth the fake money</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Feb 2012 19:15:00 EST. The new lineup is half as varied as those of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/15/now-you-can-exchange-club-nintendo-coins-for-games/">previous months</a>, offering only one DSiWare download and one Wii Virtual Console game.<br /><br />For 150 Coins each, you can choose <em>Art Academy: First Semester</em> for DSiWare (but only available on 3DS through this offer) or <em>Mario Party 2 </em>for Wii. If you get that one, use the money you saved by buying it with Club Nintendo money to buy some extra controllers, either for friends or to replace the ones ruined by <em>Mario Party</em>.<br /><br />For fans of physical, tangible goods, there's also this new <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/24002.do">3DS card case</a>. It holds 18 games and includes four "double-sided card covers." And it looks really nice.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/01/club-nintendo-swaps-downloadable-games-adds-mario-party-2-art/">Club Nintendo swaps downloadable games, adds Mario Party 2, Art Academy</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 Feb 2012 12:30:00 EST. If your home is already full to bursting with Mario paraphernalia, you'll be delighted to learn that you can exchange your Club Nintendo Coins for downloadable games. Nintendo is featuring a rotating selection of WiiWare, Virtual Console, DSiWare, and eShop downloads offered on the North American Club Nintendo site.<br />
<br />
Through January 10, your choices include <em>Super Mario Kart </em>(100 Coins), <em>3D Classics: Xevious</em> (100 Coins), <em>Fluidity</em> (150 Coins), and <em>Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again </em>(150 Coins). In a way, this is really cheap as it trades illusory fun money for games -- but in another way, it's outrageously expensive as said fun money is only acquired through the for-real purchase of multiple games.<br />
<br />
Those of you with more space for swag have new reward options as well: three different, <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/23002.do">adorable</a> <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/22510.do">Mario</a> <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/23004.do">notebooks</a>, and a <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/22517.do">Zelda poster set</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/15/now-you-can-exchange-club-nintendo-coins-for-games/">Now you can exchange Club Nintendo Coins for games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Dec 2011 11:00:00 EST. Admit it: Your flair for fashion, design and symmetry has prevented you from fully appreciating the gold-colored Wii Remote Plus that came bundled with special edition versions of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword"><em>Zelda: Skyward Sword</em></a>. Hey, we're not judging! Take one look at our wardrobe and you'll know our meticulous approach to color coordination. We're here to tell you there's a solution to your dilemma -- Japanese Club Nintendo members can now spend their hard-earned credits on an <a href="http://andriasang.com/comzck/club_nintendo_goods/">equally golden Wii Nunchuck</a>.<br />
<br />
The faux-metallic peripheral will run you 600 Points, while the other new addition to the rewards catalog -- a 3DS game case which holds up to 18 titles -- will cost you 150 Points. You can check out the new Nunchuck in the image posted above; just try not to let the shameful color mismatching get to you. We've contacted Nintendo to see if these new products are coming stateside.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/14/get-a-golden-nunchuck-to-go-with-your-golden-wiimote-from-japan/">Get a golden nunchuck to go with your golden Wiimote from Japan's Club Nintendo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 14 Dec 2011 14:45:00 EST. We get it. Everybody deserves to come home from a long day at the office and embrace a loved one, whether it be an actual human being, a pet or just a really awesome pillow. In this case, it's all pillow. Get it? <em>Get it?!</em><br />
<br />
Ahem, sorry -- Nintendo's latest <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a> Platinum goodie for Japan (yeah, we're upset, too) has us all aflutter with excitement. It's the very awesome <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mario">Mario</a> pillow you see above, available as one of three different freebies for Platinum members. The other two freebies up for grabs are two table calendars or two different soundtracks, from a total of five, though we know eligible members would never go against the pillow. Because that'd just be insane.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/25/club-nintendo-dot-mario-cushion-is-another-reason-to-envy-japa/">Club Nintendo 'Dot Mario Cushion' is another reason to envy Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 25 Oct 2011 01:00:00 EST. An intrinsic, universal facet of human nature is that we as people consistently want what we can't have. It's deeply rooted in our species' collective subconscious, silently driving our passions for incredible, unobtainable <em>stuff</em>. The Japanese Club Nintendo has a healthy track record for producing some of the most amazingly unavailable swag in our industry's long, storied history of unavailable swag, but we think these new limited edition 3DSes rank in at number one on our "Most Impossible Dreams" list.<br />
<br />
The 3DSes, named "Peach," "Mario" and "Super Kinoko," natch, are being produced in limited numbers (1,000 each) for Nintendo's "A Little Mario-like 3DS" campaign. Japanese Club Nintendo members who register two games between now and January 15 will be automatically entered to win one of these adorable little 3DSes. Club members will also receive a free copy of the 3D Classics port of <em>Kid Icarus</em> upon entering. So! If you're a Japanese Club Nintendo member, we hope you can feel our burning envy through your monitor.<br />
<br />
Unless you win one, in which case we'd love to have you over for <strike>poison</strike> tea some time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/22/ultra-limited-edition-3dses-are-adorable-no-you-cant-have-one/">Ultra-limited edition 3DSes are adorable, no you can't have one</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 22 Oct 2011 21:30:00 EST. Your 3DS Mii is pathetically teensy now, suitable for posing next to hamsters and soda cans. But you could make your virtual self much more (virtually) substantial with the <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/21002.do">giant AR Card</a>, available now from North America's Club Nintendo for 200 Coins. The 28.5" tall card has the question-mark block on one side, and Mario on the other, allowing it to be used for AR Mario images as well.<br />
<br />
Two other prizes were added to the lineup today: for ten coins, you can get a <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/19502.do">Metroid: Other M screensaver</a> -- released almost a year after the game ... or for 400 Coins, there's a set of three <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/21004.do">Donkey Kong posters</a>, in the same style as previous Mario and Zelda posters.<br />
<br />

Yesterday marked the end of the "year," as far as North America's <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a> Elite Status goes. Did you earn 600 "Coins" by registering first-party Wii, DS, and 3DS games and taking surveys between the end of June last year and yesterday? If so, you're entitled to this year's gift for Platinum status holders, a set of commemorative pins.<br />
<br />
The 25 <em>Super Mario Bros.</em> sprite pins come in six boxes that can be arranged to form a picture of Mario, a mushroom, or a Goomba.<br />
<br />
If you hit the 300-Coin mark in that period, you're entitled to the "Gold" gift, which, as always, is a desk calendar with a different Nintendo game theme for each month. We just switched over to the <em>Nintendogs + Cats</em> page in our 2011 calendar this morning!<em> Awwww</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/01/club-nintendo-platinum-members-to-receive-commemorative-pin-se/">Club Nintendo 'Platinum' members to receive commemorative pin set</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 01 Jul 2011 14:00:00 EST. We received a lot of emails yesterday from anxious readers, who had all registered their copies of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time"><em>The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D</em></a> with Club Nintendo for their free soundtrack discs (as announced in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/07/nintendo-e3-keynote/">E3 keynote</a>), but weren't getting the email confirmations from Nintendo. And then the site crashed. As this was a first-come-first-serve offer, the lack of communication was disturbing. Readers reported yesterday that only a call to Nintendo customer service (on a Sunday!) would resolve the issue.<br />
<br />
Today, Nintendo updated the <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/ocarina_of_time_3d_soundtrack_offer.do">page</a> for the offer, extending the cutoff to "midnight, Pacific Time on Monday June 20, 2011" -- we're contacting Nintendo to clarify if that meant last night or tonight. We tested the deal and have yet to receive email confirmation ourselves, but Nintendo's page says, "You will receive an email confirmation within 7 days to confirming we have placed your order." It also says that everyone who registered before midnight Pacific on June 20 will receive a CD.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update:</strong> Nintendo informed us that the deal is in fact active until midnight, Pacific time, <em>tonight</em>. There's still time!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/20/club-nintendo-ocarina-of-time-3d-soundtrack-offer-extended/">Club Nintendo Ocarina of Time 3D soundtrack offer extended [Update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Jun 2011 12:00:00 EST. "Hey, there's something on your shirt." "Oh, let me brush it off -- did I get it?" "No, it's still there. It's, like ... a fishing game?"<br />
<br />
The first 3,000 Europe residents to register their new <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/3ds">3DS</a> systems with <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a> this Friday will receive a t-shirt with a picture of the question-mark AR Card on it, allowing them to <em>augment the realities</em> of their own bodies with archery, fishing, and other AR Games. Yes, it sounds funny, but it also means the person wearing the shirt has to hold still and watch someone else (the person with the 3DS cameras pointed at the shirt) have an awesome time.<br />

Do you possess enough Club Nintendo coins to purchase a small, uninhabited tropical island? Why not spend your fake currency on this, instead: The promotional program's latest reward is <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/15515.do">a reproduction of <em>Game and Watch: Ball</em></a>, in which you play a juggler who's tasked with keeping a number of always hastening circles suspended in the air. We guess the plural nature of your profession's materials would make the title Balls more appropriate, but ... no. No, we won't be doing that.<br />
<br />
The game (and Watch) will run you 1,200 coins. Also added to the list of rewards is <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-category-details/a/18504.do">a reversible carrying bag</a> for whatever model of DS you're currently toting around, which costs 250 coins. We guess you could put other things in there, too. Like <em>Game and Watch: Ball</em>! That, ladies and gentlemen, is called <em>synergy</em>.<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/09/game-and-watch-ball-now-available-as-club-nintendo-reward/">Game &amp; Watch: Ball now available as Club Nintendo reward</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Feb 2011 16:00:00 EST. Another 10-Coin <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/18002.do">screensaver</a> is available, this time featuring<em> <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dragon-quest-ix">Dragon Quest IX</a></em> artwork against a backdrop of the world map. If you're less prone to screen burn-in and more prone to spill your drink, you may be more interested in the other new item: the set of <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-category-details/a/17501.do">three Mario towels</a> originally released in Japan last July.<br />
<br />
Of course, given that each towel goes for 350 Coins, you'd probably be better off reaching for the paper towels, instead of ordering one of these and then waiting several weeks for it to arrive. We don't want to imagine the horror of actually cleaning with one of these. They're too ... collectible!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/club-nintendo-offers-dragon-quest-ix-screensaver-mario-towels/">Club Nintendo offers Dragon Quest IX screensaver, Mario towels</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Dec 2010 00:00:00 EST. The "cheapest" of the trio is a <em>Super Mario Galaxy 2</em> screensaver for ten coins. It's the second Club Nintendo screensaver to be released -- a Mario 25th anniversary version is also available for the same price.<br />
<br />
Moving up, for 250 Coins, you can score a <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/15502.do">canvas tote bag</a> with colorful polka dots and a Super Mushroom silkscreen. And for 550 Coins, there's the black <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/15503.do">messenger bag</a>, featuring a Super Star design.<br />
<br />
Based on the options, we suspect a lot of people are going to show up at E3 with the same messenger bag next year. That'll be embarrassing.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-rewards-11-2-10/">Club Nintendo rewards (11/2/10)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-rewards-11-2-10/#3532541"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/11/messengerbagbig2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-rewards-11-2-10/#3532542"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/11/smg2ssbig3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-rewards-11-2-10/#3532543"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/11/totebagbig3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />

<br />
The newest items in the Club Nintendo shop are these four commemorative Mario pins, each shipping in early November for a steep 450 Coins -- which means you can go ahead and forget about collecting them all. On the other end of the price scale is a new Mario screensaver, featuring footage from games throughout the series, which you can download for 10 Coins. Compared to the pins, it's a bargain! But it's also a screensaver.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/20/club-nintendo-celebrates-super-mario-bros-25th-anniversary/">Club Nintendo celebrates Super Mario Bros.' 25th anniversary -- with pins</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 20 Oct 2010 16:40:00 EST. They'll be available on the North American <a href="http://club.nintendo.com">Club Nintendo site</a> tomorrow, October 7, in four designs: Mario, <em>Animal Crossing</em> fireworks, <em>Animal Crossing</em> faces, or Blooper. Just in time for ... the scorching fall heat?<br />

Ironically, Nintendo of Japan's loyalty program has something for that now as well.<br />
<br />
For 150 points, Club Nintendo is offering the choice of one of these three 25cm x 25cm "towel handkerchiefs." They're part towel and part handkerchief, but at the same time <em>neither</em>, because none of us would dare dry or clean anything with one of these. Since they're currently only available in Japan, of course, we don't even have the opportunity to <em>decline</em> to mop up a spilled soda with one of these cute collectibles.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/31/japans-latest-club-nintendo-prize-is-absorbent/">Japan's latest Club Nintendo prize is absorbent</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 31 Jul 2010 21:30:00 EST. Well, hopefully you've been buying Nintendo games because you want to play them, but here's the secondary reason: Nintendo announced the Platinum and Gold Elite Status Gifts for North America's <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a>. <br />
<br />
Those who reached Gold status (300 coins or more since last July) get a calendar, and Platinum status holders (600 coins or more) get this neat Mario figurine thing. To claim your reward, you have to sign into <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/home.do">Club Nintendo</a> and provide a shipping address. The prizes will ship by the end of this year, according to Nintendo.<br />
<br />
And now ... the process begins again. It's time to start registering games for <em>next</em> year, like that copy of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/25/sin-and-punishment-star-successor-review/">Sin &amp; Punishment</a></em> you were just about to buy.<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/01/club-nintendo-gold-and-platinum-awards-announced/">Club Nintendo Gold and Platinum awards announced</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Jul 2010 09:30:00 EST. Footage of the assembled musicians playing the sweeping opening music has been released via the Japanese Nintendo Channel (watch it after the break), allowing us to see just how much more epic a piece of music is when you see it played by a room full of people. If you're wondering why Shigeru Miyamoto looks so bored, it's because there was no room in the orchestra for his banjo.<br />
<br />
Fans of <em>Galaxy 2</em>'s music will be crushed to learn that Japan's <a href="http://club.nintendo.jp/present/P108/index.html">Club Nintendo</a> is offering a two-disc soundtrack for just 300 points with the registration of a copy of the game. It's possible for this bonus to make its way to other regions' Club Nintendos, as the first <em>Galaxy</em> soundtrack <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/24/super-mario-galaxy-soundtrack-on-european-stars-catalogue-someho/">did</a> in Europe, but we'd rather take such anomalies as delightful surprises, rather than disappoint ourselves by expecting them.<br />

For 150 coins each, the service has four surprisingly cool-looking fans: one featuring Mario on a monochrome background, one with Bloobers on blue, an Animal Crossing fireworks scene, and another Animal Crossing image with a pink color scheme. These will be available through June 30. Nintendo also put the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/31/game-and-watch-and-ultra-hand-and-mario-posters-available-from-club-ni/">Mario poster set</a> on the Japanese site.<br />
<br />
We used to see things like these and lament the fact that they'd never be available outside of Japan. But North America's Club Nintendo actually brings over a lot of stuff from the Japanese club now!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/28/club-nintendo-fans-for-nintendo-fans/">Club Nintendo fans for Nintendo fans</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 28 Apr 2010 20:56:00 EST. Thankfully, some of the internet's <em>bravest</em> have uploaded videos of the second collection, one of which you can find past the break.<br />

The WiiWare game <em><a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details-digital/a/13002.do">Grill-Off with Ultra Hand</a></em> is now available <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/25/grill-off-with-ultra-hand-available-today-through-club-nintend/">for real</a>, priced at just 80 Coins. If you prefer to spend way more Coins, the second volume of Nintendo's <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/13501.do"><em>Game &amp; Watch Collectio</em>n</a> for DS is now available -- for 800 Coins, 200 more than the price of the original.<br />
<br />
Finally, a set of <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/13502.do">three Mario posters</a> has been added to the shop for 350 Coins. We now have a use for a handful of the Club Nintendo coins we've been hoarding. Nintendo has <a href="http://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/11046027485">announced</a> that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/25/new-club-nintendo-goodies-ultrahand-game-and-watch-collection/"><em>Grill Off with Ultra Hand</em></a>, the WiiWare game in which you cook meat with an extending hand toy, is available through North America's Club Nintendo for 80 coins -- and we just can't resist the intoxicating cocktail of toy nostalgia and virtual grilled meats.<br />
<br />
The reward has yet to show up in the <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards.do">Club Nintendo catalog</a>, but we expect to see it soon. See a trailer for <em>Grill Off </em><a href="http://www.twitvid.com/A748F">here</a>.<br />

At yesterday's Nintendo Media Summit, the publisher announced two new items: the DS <em>Game and Watch Collection 2</em> and <em>Grill-Off with Ultrahand</em> for Wii.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/05/club-nintendo-bestows-game-and-watch-collection-2-upon-faithful-ja/"><em>Game and Watch Collection 2</em></a> is a cartridge with classic and updated versions of <em>Parachute</em> and <em>Octopus</em>, released to Japan's Club Nintendo in 2008. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/09/nintendo-extends-ultra-hand-to-japanese-club-nintendo-members/"><em>Ultrahand</em></a> is a WiiWare game about using a <a href="http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Ultra_Hand">classic Nintendo toy</a> to grill meat (really), released for just 50 points in Japan late last year. No information about release dates or cost have been released here yet.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/25/new-club-nintendo-goodies-ultrahand-game-and-watch-collection/">New Club Nintendo goodies: Ultrahand, Game and Watch Collection 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Feb 2010 13:45:00 EST. Don't get too excited! <br />
<br />
The rewards are folders and greeting cards. For 300 points each, you can get a set of either <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/12002.do">Nintendogs</a> or <a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/12003.do">Mario</a> greeting cards; and for 250 points each, there are folder sets of "<a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/12005.do">Mario &amp; Friends</a>," "<a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/12006.do">Toad &amp; Friends</a>," and "<a href="https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/12007.do">Bowser</a>" (each containing three folders and some bookmarks).<br />
<br />
These office items might be <em>extra</em> useful for those of you still in school -- or those of you whose jobs don't already tell everyone you know what a huge Nintendo nerd you are. We like them because all the Mario items use hand-drawn Mario art instead of the 3D models Nintendo typically uses.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/12/17/club-nintendo-offers-new-organizational-rewards/">Club Nintendo offers new, organizational rewards</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Dec 2009 16:15:00 EST. It's a real Game &amp; Watch. <br />
<br />
Nintendo is producing a new run of the classic handheld <em>Ball, </em>specifically to give away to Club Nintendo members who accrued 400 points or more in the last year. It's a replica of the original, with a Club Nintendo logo added. Like the other Platinum awards, this doesn't cost any points (so Platinum members can still buy <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/09/nintendo-extends-ultra-hand-to-japanese-club-nintendo-members/">Wii de Ultrahand</a></em>), and will be sent out to everyone who qualifies.<br />
<br />
As usual, gold members get a <a href="http://club.nintendo.jp/rank2009/gold.html">calendar</a>. <br />

<br />
The game uses the Wiimote and Nunchuk to simulate the handles of the Ultra Hand, and tasks players with picking up meat from grills and depositing it on plates. It's available today for just 50 Club Nintendo points, one third the cost of a Wiimote stand.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">Several Joysitq staffers were pleased to discover that the 2009 Club Nintendo rewards have begun to arrive today. For those that need a reminder of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/14/nintendo-reveals-american-club-nintendo-bonuses/">what the gifts are</a>, Platinum members got to choose between a <em>real life</em> Mario hat or a download of <em>Doc Louis's Punch-Out!!</em>, a special version of <em>Punch-Out!!</em> featuring Little Mac's trainer, Doc Louis. Meanwhile, Gold members were limited to one gift, a 2010 Nintendo calendar. Check out the gallery below for images of all the different gifts.<br />

Some Nintendo fans are disappointed in America's Club Nintendo initiative. In spite of giving away free swag the company is completely not required to do, many found this year's Elite bonuses (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/14/nintendo-reveals-american-club-nintendo-bonuses/">a hat and calendar</a>) a bit lackluster. Perhaps a new bonus, "exclusive" to Club Nintendo members will cheer the naysayers.<br /><br />Nintendo's Denise Kaigler teased <a href="http://ds.ign.com/articles/102/1020056p1.html">IGN</a> readers with this cryptic message: "Keep your eyes on the Club Nintendo Web site in September. That's when we will offer members some exclusive Nintendo artwork." To make the offer even more enticing, she emphasizes how <em>super-secret</em> it is. "For the reason I mentioned earlier, I can't say any more than that right now - it's a secret to everybody."<br /><br />Perhaps Club Nintendo members will be able to get a super-exclusive sneak peak at the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/02/miyamoto-next-legend-of-zelda-wont-be-radically-different/">next <em>Zelda</em> game</a>? Probably not -- but your theories are certainly welcome!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/club-nintendo-members-to-get-exclusive-artwork-this-month/">Club Nintendo members to get 'exclusive artwork' this month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Sep 2009 14:00:00 EST. Fifty people who buy at least <em>two</em> of the three WiiWare roguelikes will get this pop-up book thing, which is, honestly, not that exciting of a pop-up. It's basically a paper dome. Two hundred people who purchase just <em>one</em> of the games will randomly be drawn to win a Wiimote/DS strap featuring artwork from the game they purchased.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Nintendo of America has indicated no plans to release the games, and it <em>won't</em> indicate any such plans until they magically appear on the Wii Shop. Don't expect any promotions like this, or, really, any <em>promotion</em> at all.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/31/downloadable-pokemon-mystery-dungeon-games-get-physical-club-nin/">Downloadable Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games get physical Club Nintendo items</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 31 Jul 2009 16:40:00 EST. The most eye-catching new item is the 350-Coin Kirby flying disc, which looks <em>just like</em> a flat Kirby made out of nylon. <br /><br />Other new items include <em>Zelda</em> posters, a <em>Mario &amp; Luigi 3</em> soundtrack (which is discounted for those who purchased the game), pencil cases, and a <em>very</em> cute set of <em>Animal Crossing</em> magnet clips. We can't help but think that no matter how sad we are over our inability to obtain the Kirby frisbee, we're going to weep openly when Japan's Platinum and Gold rewards are unveiled.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2009/07/23/club_nintendo_goods/">andriasang</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/23/club-nintendo-japan-updates-with-flying-kirby-and-more/">Club Nintendo Japan updates with flying Kirby and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 23 Jul 2009 17:15:00 EST. These members are now entitled to an exclusive members-only bonus.<br /><br />Platinum members have the choice of two prizes:<br />
<ul>

In this special download, you'll be able to fight one-on-one against your coach, Doc Louis. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Update:</span> Screenshots now added.<br /></li>
    <li>Mario Hat -- a "true-to-life" replica of Mario's signature headpiece. Nintendo notes that the hat "may be big for small children."</li>
</ul>

If you've been having a tough time accruing enough coins in <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/10/07/a-brief-history-of-club-nintendo-awesomeness/">Club Nintendo</a> to get your very own copy of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/game-and-watch"><em>Game &amp; Watch Collection</em></a> for DS, know that Nintendo is planning to parcel out nine different <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/07/01/collecting-and-obsessing-game-and-watch/"><em>Game &amp; Watch </em>classics</a> to DSiWare in Japan. <a href="http://kotaku.com/5311574/game--watch-titles-coming-to-dsi-ware">Kotaku</a> reports that Nintendo will be offering each individual game for a very reasonable 200 DSi Points over the summer, meaning you can have your own piece of gaming history on the go for a measly $2. <br /><br />There's no word on these escaping Japan, but considering that a majority of the content offered on <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/tag/dsiware">DSiWare</a> there has made its way over here, it's likely only a matter of time.<br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/10/game-and-watch-and-dsiware/">Game &amp; Watch &amp; DSiWare</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 10 Jul 2009 18:15:00 EST. We don't dare hope for the kind of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/07/a-brief-history-of-club-nintendo-awesomeness/">awesomeness</a> seen in Japan's Platinum rewards, but we <em>want</em> free things.<br /><br />If you aren't yet at 300 coins (for Gold) or 600 coins (for Platinum), and you've got more games to register, get to it <em>right now!</em> If you've been thinking of picking up <em>Punch-Out!!</em> or something this week, you should probably do it <em>today!</em> Conversely, if you're at 600 now and you have more stuff to register, wait until tomorrow so it counts toward next year's total!<br /><br />If you're not sure about the eligibility of an older (pre-Club Nintendo) game and don't want to waste time registering it, consult the list of eligible games in the "Product Registration" area of the <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/club/en/faq.jsp#vers">Club Nintendo FAQ</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/30/psa-register-your-games-for-club-nintendo-elite-status-today/">PSA: Register your games for Club Nintendo elite status today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 16:15:00 EST. First, Nintendo <em>finally</em> announces a Wii in a new color scheme (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/04/nintendo-releasing-black-wii-red-dsi-this-summer/">black</a>), and now, less than two weeks later, the company has announced <em>another</em> color for the Wiimote and Nunchuk -- and the first new color for the MotionPlus. However, this is going to be a little harder to come by.<br /><br />From June 25 to August 31, Nintendo will give away exclusive light blue Wiimotes, MotionPlus attachments and Nunchuks (and a matching jacket, <em>of course</em>) to five thousand Japanese <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a> members who register copies of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/04/hands-on-wii-sports-resorts-archery-and-canoeing/"><em>Wii Sports Resort</em></a>. The lucky hundred will receive (hopefully a link <em>to</em>) the soundtrack file via email shortly after downloading the game.<br /><br />We appreciate seeing Nintendo promote its downloadable games for once, but here's a word of advice to the company who "reads the blogs," according to its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/joystiq-live-from-nintendos-e3-2009-keynote/">E3 keynote</a>. One of the best ways to advertise your WiiWare and Virtual Console games is to actually tell people in advance when they'll be available.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://wiiware.nintendolife.com/news/2009/06/uk_club_nintendo_offering_speedy_icarian_incentive">Nintendo Life</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/10/uk-club-nintendo-adds-extra-incentive-to-icarian-purchase/">UK Club Nintendo adds extra incentive to Icarian purchase</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 Jun 2009 15:00:00 EST.
