An Australian <a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/1a13294b8477fe94ca2577a5005d6dff!OpenDocument">classification board rating</a> has outed Artificial Mind and Movement's unannounced "Crash Course." Apparently, the game will be available on multiple platforms, though it appears to be heading to Xbox 360 at the very least -- the game's publisher is listed as Microsoft Game Studios, giving us the impression that <em>Crash Course</em> is en route to Xbox Live Arcade. <br />
<br />
Also of interest in the listing is its country of origin: Chile. Given that A2M's Santiago, Chile development house Wanako Games is based out of the South American country, we're thinking those folks could be behind <em>Crash Course</em>. Neither A2M nor Microsoft got back to us by publishing time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/22/crash-course-from-a2m-outed-by-australian-classification-board/">'Crash Course' from A2M outed by Australian classification board</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 22 Sep 2010 15:00:00 EST. Microsoft has unfurled some of its <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2010/04/06/ws186.aspx">plans</a> for Xbox Live downloadable content for April, including new additions to Games on Demand and Deals of the Week, as well as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/18/finally-final-fight-double-impact-arrives-april-14-and-15/">April 14th</a> release of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/final-fight-double-impact">Final Fight: Double Impact</a>.</em><br />
<br />
On top of that, look for a half-priced <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-maw"><em>The Maw</em></a> on the week of April 12 and two add-ons for <em>Mega Man 10</em> this week: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/01/wiiware-mega-man-10-gets-dlc-bass-character-on-april-5/">Bass</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/23/mega-man-10-special-stages-bring-back-obscure-bosses/">Special Stage 1</a>. Head past the break for the full list.<br />

With the release of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/left-4-dead-2"><em>Left 4 Dead 2</em></a> just on the horizon, Valve is making good on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/12/original-left-4-dead-wont-be/">its promise</a> to keep up support for the first game ... on Steam, anyway. Valve has <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/3085/">flipped the switch</a> on a new update, which adds Team Versus 4 on 4 competitive matchmaking to the mix -- something Valve has been promising was in the works <a href="http://www.l4d.com/blog/post.php?id=2390">since April</a> of this year.<br /><br />The update also fixes a pair of bugs in the game, dealing with a nasty game-crashing glitch that would occur as a result of a certain '<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/04/left-4-dead-crash-course-campaign-dlc-free-on-pc-7-on-360/">Crash Course</a>' achievement (there's a joke in there) being unlocked and an issue where bots and computer-controlled special infected were being reported in the 'View Game Info' screen.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/11/09/new-left-4-dead-patch-adds-4-on-4-competitive-matchmaking/">Big Download</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/10/valve-adds-4-vs-4-competitive-matchmaking-to-left-4-dead-on-stea/">Valve adds 4 vs 4 competitive matchmaking to Left 4 Dead on Steam</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Nov 2009 16:00:00 EST. Apparently, during Versus mode in the game's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/crash-course">Crash Course</a>" DLC, players were able to release teammates from "rescue closets," assuredly stopping rampant R. Kelly syndrome. The game may be fixed, but will that cure your urge to micturate on people? DLC over here! Valve has announced that, next Tuesday, fans of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/left-4-dead"><em>Left 4 Dead</em></a> will get a new campaign to play. "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/04/left-4-dead-crash-course-campaign-dlc-free-on-pc-7-on-360/">Crash Course</a>" will take place between the events of "No Mercy" and "Death Toll," providing a series of survival maps and a streamlined version of Versus mode on top of the new co-op campaign action. The DLC will be free for PC on September 29 ... and 560<span class="album_title"><img border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> (</span>$7) for the Xbox 360 version. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/left-4-dead-2-nov-17-on-xbox-360-pc/">Did you hear</a>: a true sequel will be out just 7 weeks later?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/23/left-4-deads-crash-course-landing-september-29/">Left 4 Dead's 'Crash Course' landing September 29</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 23 Sep 2009 09:59:00 EST. The Xbox 360 version of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/left-4-dead"><em>Left 4 Dead</em></a> has received a title update. One visible effect of the patch is that total number of Achievements on the Achievement screen has been updated from 50 to 60. (You'll also notice that this blogger's point total was knocked down to zero. It's not that low, <a href="http://profile.mygamercard.net/SenseiRAM">I swear</a>.) The Infected HUD has also been improved to include special attack timers for each member of the Infected team. Very handy if you want to know when your best buddy will be able to spew on the hapless victim you've just ensnared.<br /> <br /> More than likely, the update is being rolled out in preparation for the impending "<a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/crash-course">Crash Course</a>" DLC, which is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/14/game-with-fame-hints-at-sept-23-launch-for-l4d-dlc/">rumored</a> to release September 23 (a.k.a. "tomorrow").<br /> <br /> [Thanks, CJ. We look forward to Xbox Live Game With Fame announcements, largely because of our lifelong dream to play <em>Madballs in Bebo Invasion </em>with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack (someday!). There's even more reason to pay attention to the most recent one, as it claims fans will get a chance to play new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/crash-course"><em>Left 4 Dead </em>DLC "Crash Course"</a> on September 23rd. The power of deduction indicates that the DLC should be released on or before then, assuming it's not part of a special sneak preview.<br /> <br /> Oh, and in case you're curious, those selected for Game with Fame will be playing against the band Paramore. <em>Left 4 Dead</em> is probably the best thing they've played in some time.<br /> <br /> [Via <a href="http://www.vg247.com/2009/09/14/xbl-game-with-fame-hints-at-l4d-crash-course-drop-date/">VG247</a>]<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/14/game-with-fame-hints-at-sept-23-launch-for-l4d-dlc/">Game with Fame hints at Sept. 23 launch for Left 4 Dead DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Sep 2009 14:30:00 EST. When <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/10/left-4-dead-2-boycotters-flown-to-valve-boycotters-boycot-origi/"><em>Left 4 Dead 2 </em>boycott</a> co-leader Walking_Target visited <strike>Wonka's chocolate factory</strike> Valve Software recently, he saw the most <em>fantastical</em> things. Though he can't go into too much detail per a verbal agreement with Valve, the lucky gent drew upon his inner Keighley to deliver a few scant details about "more DLC for <em>Left 4 Dead</em> coming after <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/04/left-4-dead-crash-course-campaign-dlc-free-on-pc-7-on-360/">Crash Course</a>" on <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2boycott/announcements/detail/90227168244139754">his blog</a>.<br /><br />According to Walking_Target, the upcoming content could be "a new special infected, a new campaign, or new weapon(s)." Considering the fact that the Crash Course DLC lands this month, and <em>Left 4 Dead 2</em> shambles into stores <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/left-4-dead-2-nov-17-on-xbox-360-pc/">on November 17</a>, that leaves one empty month in between for this mystery content -- that is, unless Valve plans on releasing it after <em>L4D2</em>. This would of course put us in a compromising position: Buy <em>Left 4 Dead 2</em> and potentially miss out on the original game's DLC, or download the first game's DLC and maybe permanently delay a purchase of the sequel? We've contacted Valve for more details to help us (and you!) solve this particularly problematic predicament.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/">Left 4 Dead</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/#920742"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/dsc_1204_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/#920743"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/dsc_1209_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/#920744"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/dsc_1206_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/#920745"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/dsc_1207_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/left-4-dead/#2185784"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/crashcourse_final_1024px_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div>[Via <a href="http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/60402">Shacknews</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/11/more-left-4-dead-dlc-after-crash-course-says-boycotter/">More Left 4 Dead DLC after 'Crash Course,' says boycotter</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Sep 2009 17:00:00 EST. Valve raised quite a stink after <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/04/left-4-dead-crash-course-campaign-dlc-free-on-pc-7-on-360/">announcing a new downloadable campaign</a> for the original <em>Left 4 Dead</em> with only a few months remaining until the release of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/left-4-dead-2"><em>Left 4 Dead 2</em></a>. What everyone still wants to know is whether this content will be compatible with the sequel -- and we <em>do</em> mean everyone. In an interview with <a href="http://www.edge-online.com/features/interview-chet-faliszek">Edge Online</a>, Valve's Chet Faliszek explained that even the game's creators are unsure whether the new campaign will be playable in the second edition of the zombocalypse sim.<br /><br />Faliszek remarked that Valve is "struggling" with how the campaign's story elements (that is to say, the in-game chatter between <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_4_Dead#Survivor_characters">the original four survivors</a>) would work when the new cast is introduced. He says it would be jarring to "put new characters in old places," but recognizes that "there's a whole group of the fans who don't care." What say you, readers? What would you find more disruptive -- re-worked character dialogue, or recently purchased, incompatible DLC?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/06/valve-undecided-about-left-4-dead-dlc-working-in-l4d2/">Valve undecided about Left 4 Dead DLC working in L4D2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Aug 2009 14:30:00 EST. <br />And yes, that's <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Left-4-Dead/">Left 4 Dead ONE</a></em>, last year's popular zombocalypse simulator, and not this year's "controversial" sequel. True to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/02/left-4-dead-dlc-announcement-by-end-of-summer/">its word</a>, Valve has announced details of an upcoming DLC campaign for the game, sending conspiratorial crybabies ("<em>Left 4 Dead 2</em> is a cash-in and they'll never support <em>Left 4 Dead 1</em>") back to the drawing board. Though <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Left-4-Dead-2/">Left 4 Dead 2</a></em> is purported to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/left-4-dead-2-will-last-much-longer-as-a-platform/">last "much longer"</a> as a platform, Valve clearly isn't ready to abandon the original.<br /><br />Targeted for this September, "Crash Course" is an entirely new campaign that "bridges the gap" between the end of the "No Mercy" campaign (think: rooftop helicopter evacuation) and the beginning of "Death Toll" (think: turnpike riddled with abandoned cars). The new campaign includes "new locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale," and it spreads the mayhem across a co-op campaign, survival maps, and a "streamlined version" of the Versus mode experience lasting 30 minutes. <br /><br />All this for the asking price of ... $0? Oh, but that's on PC only, friend. If you've waged war on the reanimated dead via your Xbox 360, you'll be paying 560<span class="album_title"><img border="0" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /></span> ($7 Earth bucks) for the privilege of adding "Crash Course" to your repertoire. Think about it this way, 360 gamers: if the original $60 game included just four maps, $7 for this set is a value, right?
