	<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#808080">Did you know that you can download handheld games now? That's <em>amazingly</em> convenient! The only inconvenient part of it is finding the right games to buy -- and that's where we come in, with our <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/portabliss">Portabliss</a> column. In each installment, we'll tell you about a downloadable game on the iPhone, iPad, Android device, DSi, 3DS, PSP, etc. Today: <i>Cut the Rope: Experiments</i>!</font></div>

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/cut-the-rope"><em>Cut the Rope: Experiments</em></a> is one of the most aptly-named apps ever released on the iOS platform. Though it largely focuses on the tether-slicing, physics-manipulating puzzles that made the franchise's first, subtitleless iteration so delightful, it includes two bold new mechanics that completely change the face of the game. (And what an adorable face it is!)<br />
<br />
It's the success of these two new aspects that alleviated my hesitance about this standalone title: It's functionally the same as the free updates to the original <em>Cut the Rope</em>, only significantly <em>less free</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/portabliss-cut-the-rope-experiments/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Portabliss: Cut the Rope: Experiments</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/portabliss-cut-the-rope-experiments/">Portabliss: Cut the Rope: Experiments</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 05 Aug 2011 16:40:00 EST. This is just all happening so fast. We've barely absorbed the knowledge that a new <em>Cut the Rope</em> game is in the works, and now we're deluged with sweet nuggets of information about it. For starters: ZeptoLab's follow-up to its adorable, mega-popular puzzler is called <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/cut-the-rope-experiments"><em>Cut the Rope: Experiments</em></a> and it's arriving on the App Store tomorrow.<br />
<br />
The "Professor" we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/report-new-standalone-cut-the-rope-title-coming-soon/">told you about yesterday</a> is apparently a mad scientist toying with our diminutive hero, Om Nom. Jeez, talk about a dark turn! We'd get PETA involved, but we're honestly not sure if Om Nom is a P or an A or something in-between.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/03/cut-the-rope-experiments-swings-onto-ios-tomorrow/">Cut the Rope: Experiments swings onto iOS tomorrow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Aug 2011 10:30:00 EST.
