According to Platinum, "Sega has decided to change the date to TBC [to be confirmed]." <a href="http://platinumgames.com/2012/05/25/pg-break-episode-08/">A note</a> clarified the situation further: "While our work on the game is finished, localized, and ready to go, as publisher, Sega gets to make the final decision as to when it is released."<br /><br />For its part, Sega hasn't announced the delay or even acknowledged it as far as we can tell. Given that the game is still planned for a July 5 launch in Japan, and Platinum's statement suggests the game is "finished, localized, and ready to go," we expect to hear an updated launch date for US/EU territories pretty soon. The game <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/15/anarchy-reigns-reined-in-until-july-2012/">already got pushed out seven months</a>, though, so you never know.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/25/anarchy-reigns-us-eu-release-date-pushed-once-again-this-time-t/">Anarchy Reigns US/EU release date pushed once again, this time to 'TBC'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 May 2012 13:30:00 EST. Take-Two's latest <a href="http://ir.take2games.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=86428&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=1698793&amp;highlight=">earnings report</a> gives the game a "fiscal year 2014" date, which puts it between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.<br /><br />The previous release window announcement put it in the previous fiscal year - and that announcement was, itself, a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/08/xcom-delayed-beyond-q1-2012/">delay</a> from a proposed March 6, 2012 release date. At this point, 2K is racing against science; if engineers of the future develop a method to contact and interact with alien life for real, this game will suddenly seem less exotic.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/22/xcom-delayed-again-to-fiscal-2014/">XCOM delayed again, beyond Q1 2013</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 May 2012 16:27:00 EST. The Gearbox Software-developed game was previously given a "fall 2012" launch window, and was planned as a Wii U hardware launch title (the game is also planned for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC), though no hard date was ever given before. In fact, despite the February 12 date announcement, the game's Wii U version still doesn't have a date. "A release date for the announced Wii U version will be revealed at a later time," the press release reads.<br /><br />Upset? That's understandable, but Sega's hoping to deflect some of that rage with a new trailer, which we've dropped just above.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/21/aliens-colonial-marines-delayed-to-february-2013/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Aliens: Colonial Marines delayed to February 2013 on 360/PS3/PC, Wii U date to be revealed later</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/21/aliens-colonial-marines-delayed-to-february-2013/">Aliens: Colonial Marines delayed to February 2013 on 360/PS3/PC, Wii U date to be revealed later</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 May 2012 09:07:00 EST. Blizzard's community manager Micah "Bashiok" Whipple posted on <a href="http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149146687">the Blizzard forums</a> saying the recent server woes have forced the studio's hand. We'll hear later when the new auction house launch date is.<br /><br />If you were trying to log into <em>Diablo 3</em> yesterday, you may have been unable to - the same errors experienced on launch day seemed to have resurfaced in North America and Europe. Whipple called out the achievement-earning bug - which either didn't unlock achievements for players or didn't carry earned achievements over multiple logins - as the culprit, and said Blizzard is working on a fix, though servers are all go right now. "We greatly appreciate everyone's support, and we want to sincerely apologize for the difficulties many of you encountered on day one," he concluded.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/17/diablo-3-auction-house-delayed/">Diablo 3 auction house delayed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 May 2012 15:00:00 EST. Other retailers don't yet agree: <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/ps-vita/games/silent-hill-book-of-memories/99306">GameStop</a> says May 22, and <a href="http://www.gamefly.com/Rent-Silent-Hill-Book-of-Memories/5001620/#.T7EzU59YvMA">GameFly</a> has a terrifying "TBD" date.<br /><br />At least Amazon's $5 credit offer is active, if you pre-order the game in advance of its eventual release. And in other sort of good news, the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Silent-Hill-Memories-Daniel-Licht/dp/B007AU26DW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1337013096&amp;sr=8-2">soundtrack</a> was released last month, so you can listen to that while you wait. We're checking with Konami for an accurate release window.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/">Silent Hill: Book of Memories (Vita)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/#5022644"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/earthworldmultiplayer02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/#5022646"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/fireworldmultiplayer02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/#5022647"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/fireworldmultiplayer03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/#5022648"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/fireworldmultiplayer04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-book-of-memories-vita/#5022651"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/lightworldmultiplayer01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/14/amazon-shelves-silent-hill-book-of-memories-until-october/">Amazon shelves Silent Hill: Book of Memories until October</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 May 2012 15:15:00 EST. The Xbox 360 and PS3 ports have been bumped back to late summer, Deep Silver has announced today. <em>Risen 2: Dark Waters</em> will launch on Xbox 360 and PS3 on July 31 in North America; Europe gets <em>Risen 2</em> on August 3.<br /><br />To make up for the console port delay, Deep Silver is tossing in the episode "The Air Temple" for PS3 and Xbox 360 players. Deep Silver says it's "several hours" long and tasks heroes with finding a lost temple and the source of all air magic. May we suggest checking Russia first? The bad news: the release date is already slipping. Originally announced for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/15/ni-no-kuni-wrath-of-the-white-witch-launches-winter-2012/">winter of 2012</a>, Namco announced a new "Q1 2013" release date for both North America and Europe at a press event today.<br /><br />Namco also reportedly showed off its localization progress, in the form of a trailer with English dialogue. Protagonist Oliver speaks with an American accent, while everyone else is British for some reason.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/11/ni-no-kuni-delayed-until-q1-2013/">Ni no Kuni delayed until Q1 2013</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Apr 2012 16:00:00 EST. As Eurogamer notes, that puts the PSN/XBLA game somewhere within the Wii U's release window. Accordingly, co-director Mike Roush told the site that a Wii U release is "definitely something we're thinking about."<br /><br />Gaijin's plans for the PS3/Xbox releases were made before the announcement of the Wii U. "When we made these decisions we never knew about Wii U, he said. "So rather than us 'leaving Nintendo', it's that these decisions were made a year ago," Roush said. "We would never leave Nintendo, we love them to death."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/19/runner2-delayed-until-november-gaijin-thinking-about-wii-u-ve/">Runner2 delayed until November, Gaijin 'thinking' about Wii U version</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Mar 2012 15:30:00 EST. Originally <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/18/telltales-first-fables-episode-due-in-q1-2012/">scheduled for the first quarter</a>, the game will make its first appearance around E3 in June, followed by more details at San Diego Comic-Con in July.<br /><br /><em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fables_%28comics%29">Fables</a></em>, not to be confused with Microsoft's Fable series, is about characters from folklore and fairy tales living in New York City. Connors mentioned that the series may have to take on a different name to avoid confusion with the established RPG series, and avoid any communiques from the lawyers of Redmond.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/12/fables-wont-tell-tales-until-q3-2012/">Fables won't tell tales until Q3 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 12 Mar 2012 14:15:00 EST. As <a href="http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/02/29/silent-hill-hd-collection-delayed-again.aspx">Game Informer</a> notes, the survival horror classics were intended to creep in by March 6, after having already been delayed from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/09/retailers-silent-hill-hd-collection-delayed-until-march/">January</a>.<br /><br />Despite this delay, March is still set to be a mad month of Silent Hill. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/silent-hill-downpour"><em>Silent Hill: Downpour</em></a> should be out on March 13, and Vita's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/silent-hill-book-of-memories"><em>Book of Memories</em></a> on March 27. Though he couldn't say exactly when the title would launch in March, it seems the whole month is in play -- it could pull into retail as early as March 1 or at the end of the month. <em>Twisted Metal</em> is still on board for a Valentine's Day launch on February 14 in North America.<br /><br />In addition to the delay, the European version will be modified. Jaffe says SCEE censored certain portions of cutscenes and minor gameplay elements have been tweaked. "99 percent of the cuts were in the movies and the movies are still intact and I sat with the editor -- who was the same editor of the American movies -- and we went thru and addressed the notes from Europe and made sure the stories still worked," Jaffe wrote in his post. As for the gameplay edits, Jaffe only spoke of one minor change: the guy laying on the gurney from Meat Wagon is now a cadaver rather than a live, screaming corpse. Yep, we're <em>furious</em> too.<br /><br />Oh well, at least <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/26/twisted-metal-demo-shoots-up-psn-on-january-31/">you've got that demo</a> to keep you company in the meanwhile.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/03/twisted-metal-launch-stalled-in-europe-pushed-back-to-march/">Twisted Metal launch stalled in Europe, pushed back to March</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Feb 2012 10:30:00 EST. It just didn't say which one. In an investor conference call, CEO John Riccitiello broke the news that EA is moving the launch to Q1 of fiscal 2013 (January-March of this year).<br /><br />Later, during the Q&amp;A portion, COO Peter Moore called it "a major title based on a major piece of the EA brand IP." EA recently acquired <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/12/02/ea-bioware-acquires-klicknation-rebrands-it-bioware-social/">KlickNation</a>, rebranding it BioWare Social, but that just happened last month -- likely not enough time to even think a game would be ready for this quarter. EA also releases social games through Playfish, EA Play, and EA Sports.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/01/ea-delays-unspecified-social-game-based-on-major-ea-ip/">EA delays unspecified social game based on 'major' EA IP</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 Feb 2012 19:15:00 EST. While the console versions are slated for April 24, the PC version will not arrive until July 24, according to a recent post on the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/Prototype/posts/318896808154255">Prototype Facebook page</a> (requires login).<br /><br />No reason for the delay was given, though "more details" are promised "soon." Of course, given the recent trend of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/ghost-recon-future-soldier-launch-delayed-to-may-22-in-na-may/">delaying</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/20/batman-arkham-city-pc-delayed-until-november/">big-budget PC releases</a> well past their console counterparts, it's not exactly surprising.<br /><br />In other news, Activision has announced the RADNET Edition of <em>Prototype 2</em> for Xbox 360 and PS3, available in "a limited number of the launch quantities". Specifically, it grants players access to RADNET, which "gives fans 55 free pieces of additional content delivered for seven weeks following the game's launch." The weekly content will include a range of items, from in-game mutations to Avatar items and videos.<br /><br />The press release specifies that RADNET will be redeemed via an included code in new copies of the game. Call it a hunch, but we're betting those who buy used will be able to pick up a code for, oh, let's say around <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/online-pass">ten dollars</a>.<br /><br />So, summing up, it's appears that the PC version got a three month delay on the same day we learned about two months of bonus content for new copies of the console version. <em>Coincidence</em>?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/31/prototype-2-on-pc-pushed-to-july-24-radnet-edition-announced/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Prototype 2 on PC pushed to July 24, RADNET Edition announced</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/31/prototype-2-on-pc-pushed-to-july-24-radnet-edition-announced/">Prototype 2 on PC pushed to July 24, RADNET Edition announced</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 31 Jan 2012 18:00:00 EST. <em>Cave Story</em> hitting DSiWare in North America <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/29/nintendoware-weekly-cave-story-cave-story/">over a year ago</a>, but Europe is still waiting for an official release. It looks like the region will go without the delightful title a little longer, as it has failed certification with Nintendo of Europe. Responding to a question on <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/nicalis/status/156554366088773632">Twitter</a>, developer Nicalis noted that <em>Cave Story</em> was submitted to NOE in December but failed because of "some really minor crap with the manual." Nicalis hopes to submit the game yet again sometime this month.<br />
<br />
Keep the faith, European <em>Cave Story</em> fans! <br />
Sega sent out a new <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/binary-domain"><em>Binary Domain</em></a> trailer titled "Bigger Than You Think," highlighting the dramatic storyline of the <em>Yakuza</em> team's shooter -- well, it's dramatic if you can get past the conceit of a team of military operatives going on a stealth mission while wearing suits covered in bright red lights.<br />
<br />
Also bigger than you'd previously thought: the wait for <em>Binary Domain</em>. Tom Clancy's infamous ghosts are returning to consoles on May 22, 2012 in North America and May 24 in Europe, Ubisoft announced this morning. Despite having already given the game an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/03/rumor-ghost-recon-future-soldier-release-date/">early March launch date</a>, it seems that the team is retreating back into the shadows for an extra two months.<br />
<br />
Ubisoft IP development director Adrian Lacey said that, while the game is "feature complete in our multiplayer, singleplayer, and four-player co-op campaign modes," it was pushed out of its original launch "in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience." We're just worried, by the time it eventually launches, the "future" part of the title won't apply anymore.<br />
<br />
Additionally, the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/20/ghost-recon-future-soldier-beta-deploys-january-2012/">promised January beta</a> is also being delayed, with gamers now able to test the multiplayer modes at some point in April. And the PC version that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/25/ghost-recon-future-soldier-on-pc-replaced-by-ghost-recon-online/">turned into <em>Ghost Recon Online</em></a>? It turns out that was little more than a ruse, and a full PC version of <em>Future Soldier</em> will arrive "at a later date." Which is to say, "after May 22/24."<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/ghost-recon-future-soldier-launch-delayed-to-may-22-in-na-may/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ghost Recon: Future Soldier launch delayed to May 22 in NA, May 24 in EU; PC version totally exists</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/ghost-recon-future-soldier-launch-delayed-to-may-22-in-na-may/">Ghost Recon: Future Soldier launch delayed to May 22 in NA, May 24 in EU; PC version totally exists</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Jan 2012 12:30:00 EST. <strong>Update:</strong> Konami confirmed the delay with Joystiq, and said, "[the] <em>Silent Hill HD Collection</em> release date has been changed. The game will now be released in March. We will be sending out definitive dates on all three Silent Hill games later this week." We'll let you know just as soon as we hear what those dates are.<br />
<br />
<strong>Original post:</strong> Time means little in the limbo of Silent Hill, so too would seem to be the fate of the <em>Silent Hill HD Collection</em>, which several retail outlets have moved to a March launch date.<br />
<br />
The mystery started unraveling yesterday when Amazon sent out notifications that the release date had been changed to March 6. Since then, <a href="http://www.gamefly.com/rent-games/Search/?kw=silent+hill+hd+collection&amp;sec=GameFly&amp;doSearch=">GameFly</a>, which lists dates based off publisher information, and <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/browse?nav=16k-Silent+Hill+HD+Collection">GameStop</a> have also switched launch dates to March 6.<br />
<br />
We've contacted Konami for confirmation. The publisher previously slated the collection for last autumn, then <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/03/2012-goes-silent-hill-crazy-with-book-of-memories-hd-collection/">shifted the date to January 24</a> last November.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/09/retailers-silent-hill-hd-collection-delayed-until-march/">Silent Hill HD Collection delayed until March [update: Konami confirms]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Jan 2012 12:40:00 EST. For us in North America, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/trine-2"><em>Trine 2</em></a> is a real thing, a game we can download and play and everything. Our brothers and sisters in gaming abroad have been denied Frozenbyte's sequel so far on PS3, thanks to a QA snafu at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-01-04-trine-2-with-sony-computer-entertainment-europe-qa-now">Eurogamer</a> reports.<br />
<br />
"We are anxiously awaiting the European release ourselves!" exclaimed Frozenbyte's vice president Joel Kinnunen to Eurogamer. "We had both SCEA and SCEE versions ready at the same time and they are basically 100 percent the same (SCEA version already has all European languages, for example), so we are very disappointed we couldn't have a simultaneous launch. But it's out of our hands."<br />
<br />
Right now, the game's in QA at SCEE with no release date in sight. Kinnunen says "hopefully we'll hear more soon," so when some news is conjured up, we'll be sure to let you all know.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/04/scee-qa-holds-up-trine-2-launch-in-europe/">SCEE QA holds up Trine 2 launch in Europe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Jan 2012 22:00:00 EST. Bad news, kind of: a selection of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3"><em>Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3</em></a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/19/all-umvc3-costume-dlc-priced-and-dated/">costume DLC</a> has been bumped a few months, and will offer one fewer option when it gets here. The "Ancient Warrior Pack" DLC, once set for December 20, has been bumped until March 6 in North America, and March 7 in Europe. When it does arrive, it'll be short one costume, the Magneto get-up from Marvel's "<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_M">House of M</a>" series.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://shoryuken.com/2011/11/25/magneto-dlc-outfit-coming-to-ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-stirs-up-controversy-in-spain/">Shoryuken</a> notes that the costume has caused a bit of controversy in Spain, due to its resemblance to the traditional garb of king Juan Carlos. We suppose it is a bit undignified to see someone who looks just like your monarch being punched by a space raccoon. For that matter, it's probably not the most flattering thing to be indirectly referred to as an "Ancient Warrior."<br />
<br />
There's no word on whether the price will change in acknowledgement of the now smaller DLC pack; Capcom said it will announce pricing "closer to launch."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/19/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-ancient-warrior-dlc-delayed-magn/">Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 'Ancient Warrior' DLC delayed, Magneto's regalia deemed too regal</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Dec 2011 18:30:00 EST. Once planned for January 2012, Sega announced that the brawler Anarchy Reigns has been delayed until July 3 in North America, July 6 in Europe, and July 5 in Australia.<br />
<br />
Offering a cryptic explanation for the delay in the announcement, Sega West Senior Vice President of Marketing Gary Knight suggested significant new content: "I can't reveal much now," he said, "but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past ..."<br />
<br />
Our guess is that Platinum is having a hard time getting back to work on this when <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/metal-gear-rising-revengeance"><em>Metal Gear Rising</em></a> exists.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/15/anarchy-reigns-reined-in-until-july-2012/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Anarchy Reigns reined in until July 2012</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/15/anarchy-reigns-reined-in-until-july-2012/">Anarchy Reigns reined in until July 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Dec 2011 11:30:00 EST. <em>Finally</em>, a way to see some violence through your Xbox. The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/07/ufc-on-xbox-live-full-access-octagon/">UFC on Xbox Live app</a> will launch December 20, Microsoft revealed today -- a delay of almost three weeks past the previously announced date of <em>right now</em>.<br />
<br />
The app allows XBL members to watch pay-per-view events (after paying, of course), control playback with Kinect, and (for Gold members) communicate with other viewers on your friends list to make predictions about the outcomes of fights, even "competing" to top the watching-UFC leaderboards.<br />
<br />
After downloading the app, you'll have ten days to get a party together to watch UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem. And in the run-up to that smash-up, Xbox Live Gold users can watch the weigh-in and other related videos either live or through the app's "on-demand library."<br />
<br />
Update: Microsoft told us that all XBL users can watch pay-per-view videos. Gold membership is required for live pre-fight and other supplementary videos, "Fight Picks," and the Interactive Fight Card.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/ufc-on-xbox-live-delayed-to-dec-20/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>UFC on Xbox Live delayed to Dec. 20 [update]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/ufc-on-xbox-live-delayed-to-dec-20/">UFC on Xbox Live delayed to Dec. 20 [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Dec 2011 11:55:00 EST. You may have been getting apprehensive that Nintendo wouldn't deliver the '<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/21/3d-video-recording-other-features-in-november-firmware-update/">November update</a>' for the 3DS's firmware on time. You would have been right to worry! In a brief message on the official site, Nintendo said that the firmware is "in the final stages of internal testing" and is now scheduled for release by December 8.<br />
<br />
The update, when released, will add 3D video recording functionality, new StreetPass games, the 3DS-to-3DS system transfer service, DLC infrastructure, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/27/nintendo-adding-sleep-mode-downloads-to-3ds-eshop-planning-web/">more</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/28/3ds-firmware-update-delayed-will-be-available-by-december-8/">3DS firmware update delayed, will be available 'by December 8'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 28 Nov 2011 22:35:00 EST. Those of you in Europe will have to go on playing multiplayer PS3 games in split-screen, or disperse to your separate homes, for now. The 24" <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/06/sony-introduces-playstation-branded-3d-display-glasses/">PlayStation-branded 3D monitor</a>, which was released in North America on November 13, has been delayed indefinitely in Europe.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-11-22-sony-ps3-3d-display-delayed-in-europe">Eurogamer</a> spoke to Sony about the delay, but was unable to ascertain a reason, or a new ETA for the device. We don't think there's a different display standard, since this is a monitor and not a TV, so that's not the issue. Conspiracy?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/22/playstation-3d-display-delayed-in-europe/">PlayStation 3D display delayed in Europe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 Nov 2011 20:00:00 EST. <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/torchlight-2">Torchlight 2</a></em> has been officially delayed from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/20/torchlight-2-still-scheduled-for-late-2011-barring-death-or-ill/">this year</a> until some point in the near future. Runic Games president Travis Baldree made the announcement today on the game's site, noting that the amount of development time the studio needs is "relatively small," but that it still wants to perform a small beta test before launch to ensure everything runs smoothly.<br />
<br />
"We feel pretty safe in saying that if you enjoyed <em>Torchlight</em> at all, this sequel is superior in every respect," Baldree wrote. "Right now our job is to ensure that the quality level is consistent all the way to the end."<br />
<br />
And then, as a brilliant distraction to stop us from crying, Baldree reminded us of the glut of goodness out there at the moment.<br />
<br />
"Besides, you're all playing <em>Skyrim</em> right now anyway, aren't you? Or <em>Battlefield 3</em>? Or <em>Uncharted 3</em>? Or <em>Saints Row 3</em>? Or <em>Arkham City</em>? Or <em>Skyward Sword</em>? Or <em>Minecraft</em>? Or <em>Modern Warfare 3</em>? Or <em>Dark Souls</em>? Or <em>Assassin's Creed Revelations</em>?"<br />
<br />
You're right, Travis! No rush. It'll take us until this time next year to make our way through everything you just mentioned anyway.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/17/torchlight-2-officially-delayed-runic-prez-suggests-other-games/">Torchlight 2 officially delayed, Runic prez suggests other games to play</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Nov 2011 13:50:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left; ">
	Originally planned for October, it looks like the <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/counter-strike-global-offensive"><em>Counter-Strike: Global Offensive</em></a> closed beta has been delayed. According to an <a href="http://eseanews.com/index.php?s=news&amp;d=comments&amp;id=10303">ESEA News</a> interview with Valve's Chet Faliszek, the beta was pushed back after the company received feedback from the <em>Counter-Strike</em> experts who have already tested the game.<br />
	<br />
	Faliszek noted that there are some fundamental issues that need to be resolved before the beta is made available to a wider audience. He didn't offer any updated release date for the beta, though he did reveal that the initial wave of the beta will include 10,000 players and will grow "in steps" as Valve tests "infrastructure and scalability."<br />
	<br />
	Eventually, the beta will be made available to everyone. Faliszek added that there will be no set end date for the beta, saying "we have no mandate from anybody of when we have to ship this." Essentially, he said, the final version of the beta will be the game that Valve actually releases to the public. "It will be the release game that you're just playing," he said, "and then at some point we'll say, 'Okay, now we're going to officially release it.'"</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/01/counter-strike-go-beta-delayed-to-address-early-feedback/">Counter Strike: GO beta delayed to address early feedback</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 Nov 2011 05:30:00 EST. Please disregard initial forecasts for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/silent-hill-downpour"><em>Silent Hill: Downpour</em></a>. The launch has been delayed from 2011 to the first quarter of 2012, giving us all more time to fill bags with sand, collect tin cans full of preserved meats and, of course, panic over what the hell we're going to do about Pyramid Head.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/delay-hits-silent-hill-downpour/086154">MCV</a> broke the news earlier today, confirming the new launch window with Konami. Though the publisher has yet to release an official statement, several outlets have confirmed <em>Downpour</em>'s going back in the oven. That's a good thing, probably: how else is protagonist Murphy supposed to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ4S_uVLPCs">dry his clothes</a>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/10/silent-hill-downpour-officially-pushed-to-q1-2012/">Silent Hill: Downpour officially pushed to Q1 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 10 Oct 2011 13:47:00 EST. Nobody likes to discover that <em>Payday's</em> been moved. The PSN release of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/payday-the-heist"><em>Payday: The Heist</em></a>, the co-op robbery game by Overkill Software, is the subject of a rare release-day delay, bumped from its original date of <em>today</em> to "later in October." According to <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/app/24240/">Steam</a>, the PC version is also due in "October." We suppose a game with this many masks just gravitates toward Halloween.<br />
<br />
<em>Payday</em> was to be the triumphant pay<em>off</em> of Sony's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/playstation-network-play-is-a-lot-like-summer-of-arcade-start/">PSN Play</a>" promotion, and that offer is still in effect. If you've purchased all of the other PSN Play games, you'll still get your voucher for a free PS3 copy of the game.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/04/payday-the-heist-delayed-to-later-this-month/">Payday: The Heist delayed to 'later this month'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 04 Oct 2011 12:01:00 EST. In the interest of making <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/burgertime-world-tour"><em>BurgerTime World Tour</em></a> a more filling meal, publisher MonkeyPaw Games announced a delay of the downloadable reimagination of the Data East classic. Once announced for summer, it's staying in the kitchen until "a late October/early November date."<br />
<br />
MonkeyPaw said in a Facebook note that it wants <em>BurgerTime World Tour</em> to have "a fresh new multiplayer experience, including competitive online play and leaderboards." Features like these require a lot of QA, and therefore the publisher is holding off on the release until everything is stable.<br />
<br />
Then, of course, it has to work with Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to figure out when they all want the game to go up on their respective storefronts.<br />

Originally set for release in October, <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/king-of-fighters-xiii"><em>King of Fighters 13</em></a> has been pushed back to November 22. To soften the blow, it also released a trailer that goes over a bunch of modes, and the new "NEOMAX" attacks.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/27/king-of-fighters-13-delayed-until-november/">King of Fighters 13 delayed until November</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 27 Sep 2011 21:00:00 EST. A few weeks ago, Majesco told us that the XBLA release of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/bloodrayne-betrayal"><em>BloodRayne: Betrayal</em></a> had been pushed back to October 6. However, we've heard a new date from someone who ought to know: Rayne herself. The heroic dhampir (or <em>perhaps</em> a PR person under her name) <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/BloodRayneGame/status/106500299518246912">tweeted</a> that the game will be out on XBLA September 7, just one day after the PSN release.<br />
<br />
That's great news for XBLA users looking to blow up some fancy vampires with poisonous bites. It's slightly less great news for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/playstation-network-play-is-a-lot-like-summer-of-arcade-start/">PSN Play</a> promotion, which loses the closest thing it had to a timed exclusive. You still get extra "gifts" with the PSN Play pre-order, though.<br />
<br />

Those eager to overthrow evil in a polite, turn-based manner will have to wait a bit longer before diving into <em>Might &amp; Magic Heroes VI</em>. Posting on the game's <a href="http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5861060878/m/8211029939">official forums</a>, Community Developer Irina Kassina has announced <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/20/might-and-magic-heroes-6-delayed-until-september/">another</a> delay for the role-playing strategy hybrid, this time lasting until October 13.<br />
<br />
Kassina explained that player feedback gathered during the beta, specifically relating to bugs and game balancing, highlighted the need for more development time. "Thus, we took the decision to delay the release of Might &amp; Magic Heroes VI in order to secure a bit more time for the dev team to take into account your comments and deliver the best quality game," she wrote.<br />
<br />
The beta will begin a second phase with additional single- and multiplayer maps on August 16. If you've won a key through a community contest or pre-ordered the game, you'll be granted access to the latest round of testing. And just think of the power you'll have over us! Your glitch-detecting prowess could determine whether or not we write another post about this game being delayed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/08/might-and-magic-heroes-vi-delayed-until-october-13/">Might &amp; Magic Heroes VI delayed until October 13</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 16:00:00 EST. You probably won't be surprised to hear that Fatshark's PSN explorer-and-bird treasure hunting expedition, <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/hamiltons-great-adventure">Hamilton's Great Adventure</a>, </em>won't be arriving on time -- because "on time" would have been April and that deadline has passed. A subsequent July release date also sailed on by.<br />
<br />
Today, Fatshark announced a new release date, slyly blaming the delay on protagonist Ernest Hamilton taking five weeks of paid vacation. It'll now be released on August 23 in North America and August 24 in the rest of the world -- just in time to compete with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/20/street-fighter-3-third-strike-goes-online-starting-august-23/"><em>Street Fighter 3</em></a>. But if you don't want to wait, you can check out the <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/app/42140/">PC version</a> that came out in May.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/08/hamiltons-great-adventure-finally-coming-to-psn-august-23/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hamilton's Great Adventure (finally) coming to PSN August 23</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/08/hamiltons-great-adventure-finally-coming-to-psn-august-23/">Hamilton's Great Adventure (finally) coming to PSN August 23</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 10:30:00 EST. We wondered whether the "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/playstation-network-play-is-a-lot-like-summer-of-arcade-start/">PSN Play</a>" promotion would lead to timed PS3 exclusivity for any of the games within, and our official answer at this point is "yes and no." <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/bloodrayne-betrayal"><em>BloodRayne Betrayal</em></a> was originally due at the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/14/bloodrayne-betrayal-launching-in-the-last-week-of-august/">end of August</a> on both PSN and XBLA; it's now due September 6 on PSN. Majesco informed Joystiq that the XBLA version has been bumped to October 5, though the publisher didn't say outright that the Sony deal was the reason.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/street-fighter-3-third-strike-online-edition"><em>Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition</em></a>, however, won't have its release date bumped on either platform as a result of the promotion. Capcom confirmed on <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/lunch/blog/2011/08/05/street_fighter_iii_online_edition_is_coming_to_psn_play">Unity</a> that the game is still set for August 23 on PSN and August 24 on XBLA. We have inquiries in with the rest of the PSN Play publishers, and we'll update when we hear back.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update:</strong> Sega tells Joystiq that <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/renegade-ops"><em>Renegade Ops</em></a> is still due for a multiplatform release in September.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/bloodrayne-xbla-delayed-until-oct-5-sf3-still-on-time/">BloodRayne XBLA delayed until Oct. 5, SF3 still on time [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 05 Aug 2011 14:31:00 EST. Originally planned for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/11/armored-core-5-due-in-japan-this-october/">an October 20 launch in Japan</a>, From Software's <em>Armored Core V</em> won't meet its scheduled date. The developer has <a href="http://www.armoredcore.net/acv/releaseinfo/">announced</a> the game has been pushed back until January 2012, following feedback from users who participated in a closed online beta recently.<br />
<br />
We've contacted Namco for clarification and to see how this news affects the launch here in the US. The good news, though, is that mech oil doesn't ever go bad, so you don't have to throw out that stockpile you've got going in your garage.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/01/armored-core-vs-japanese-launch-pushed-back-to-january-2012/">Armored Core V's Japanese launch pushed back to January 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 01 Aug 2011 14:00:00 EST. <em>Whoops</em>, looks like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/driver-san-francisco"><em>Driver: San Francisco</em></a> didn't run the red light and is now delayed one week. Originally expected to reach stores on August 30, the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/28/driver-san-francisco-preview/">shift</a>-y racer will now arrive September 6.<br />
<br />
Ubisoft has also released a new video explaining the game's multiplayer features -- an experience that we've been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/14/driver-san-francisco-multiplayer-preview/">pleasantly surprised</a> with ever since our first <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/09/driver-san-francisco-preview-get-smashed-with-friends/">test drive at E3</a>. Check out the video above and see what could potentially be one of the most compelling multiplayer experiences of the year.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/28/driver-san-francisco-delayed-a-week-to-september-6/">Driver: San Francisco delayed a week to September 6</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Jul 2011 13:27:00 EST. Can a small delay in action really ruin your desire to smite all the world's snarling things? After the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/dragon-age-2-legacy"><em>Dragon Age 2: Legacy</em></a> DLC failed to show up during the weekly <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/27/european-psn-releases-for-july-27/">European PlayStation Store update</a>, Rob Bartel, a designer on BioWare's Live Team, addressed the fault on the official <a href="http://social.bioware.com/forum/Dragon-Age-II/Dragon-Age-II-Playstation-3-Technical-Self-Help/Legacy-not-appearing-on-EU-store-update--7972440-1.html">BioWare forums</a>.<br />
<br />
"Apologies for the delay, everyone," he wrote. "We're still investigating why this has occurred but Sony Europe has confirmed that they will launch the Legacy DLC tomorrow morning. So hang tight, it will be available soon."<br />
<br />
If Bartel's information is accurate, "soon" is roughly equivalent to about 0.003 percent of a dragon age. Mind you, they probably didn't employ phrases such as "hang tight" during that time, unless it was meant as a parting insult at the gallows.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/27/dragon-age-2-legacy-dlc-delayed-on-euro-psn-until-tomorrow/">Dragon Age 2: Legacy DLC delayed on Euro PSN until Thursday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 Jul 2011 21:30:00 EST. Rumors are <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&amp;id=157463">circulating</a> that the 3DS version of <em>Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater</em> will be released in 2012. <a href="http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/07/metal-gear-solid-snake-eater-3d-delayed-until-2012/">Kotaku Australia</a> reports that Konami confirmed the news directly, though the publisher provided no further information other than a 2012 release date.<br />
<br />
When approached for comment, Konami informed Joystiq that no North American launch date has been announced. At the Tokyo Game Show last year, Hideo Kojima <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/16/metal-gear-solid-3-snake-eater-slithers-onto-3ds-in-2011/">announced</a> a 2011 release for the game. If this latest news is true, it would seem the date applied only to Japan.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/26/rumor-metal-gear-solid-3-snake-eater-3d-to-be-released-in-2012/">Rumor: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D to be released in 2012</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 26 Jul 2011 21:40:00 EST. Eric Chahi's upcoming experiment in nature manipulation, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/from-dust"><em>From Dust</em></a>, won't arrive on PCs until mid-August. The company confirmed as much to Joystiq this afternoon, specifically noting, "<em>From Dust</em> will hit XBLA this Wednesday and will release on PC on Wednesday, August 17."<br />
<br />
That's just three weeks until the game arrives on PC -- more than enough time to practice your lava redirection and bridge carving techniques with a mouse. <p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/from-dust-pc-launch-delayed-one-month-available-aug-17/">From Dust PC launch delayed one month, available Aug. 17</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jul 2011 16:15:00 EST.
