Surprisingly, it didn't take Nintendo that long to flip the switch for North America, considering the company <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/03/nintendo-planning-to-offer-wiiware-demos/">revealed</a> the long-overdue feature -- and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/04/why-cant-i-demo-my-vc-downloads-wii-annoyance-011/">day-one annoyance</a> -- only earlier this month. And on top of the free trial versions of select WiiWare titles (five total this week!), there are also two new Virtual Console titles to enjoy, as well as three new DSiWare games. Hit the break for the full list.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/16/nintendoware-weekly-wiiware-demos-pokemon-rumble-indiana-jone/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: WiiWare demos, Pokemon Rumble, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/16/nintendoware-weekly-wiiware-demos-pokemon-rumble-indiana-jone/">NintendoWare Weekly: WiiWare demos, Pokemon Rumble, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Nov 2009 11:30:00 EST. But Nintendo also revealed several DSiWare titles for the first time! <br /><br />The company will follow this week's <em>Art Academy </em>with <em>Art Academy: Second Semester</em> on September 28, followed in Q4 by a DSiWare version of the <em>bit Generations</em> title <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_Generations#Digidrive">Digidrive</a>. </em>We're interested in seeing whether Skip takes over or whether <em>Pixeljunk </em>developer Q-Games remakes its GBA game.<br /><br />In other DSiWare news, the <em>Electroplankton</em> titles are due out in Q4, as is <em>Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon</em>, which we don't know anything about, <em><a href="http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsiware/khdj/index.html">Sparkle Snapshots</a></em>, <a href="http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsiware/ke3j/index.html"><em>Picturebook Games: The Royal Bluff</em></a>, and -- this is going to freak iPhone gamers out -- <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fieldrunners">Fieldrunners</a>!</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/15/nintendos-ds-holiday-lineup-reveals-fieldrunners-art-style-an/">Nintendo's DS holiday lineup reveals Fieldrunners, Art Style, and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 15 Sep 2009 16:46:00 EST. We referred to their bit Generations game <em>Digidrive</em> in that post, but it really takes a look at the game in motion to understand it. And even <em>that</em> probably won't fully explain it. Since we never got any of the <em>bit Generations</em> games in the U.S., this may be your first look at one of these abstract, experimental, <em>weird</em> GBA games. If you like what you see, you can <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-49-en-15-digidrive-70-1fi1.html">get the game for $10</a> right now at Play-Asia, along with <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-49-en-15-bit+generations-70-1fhy.html"><em>Dialhex</em></a> and <em><a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-77-2-49-en-15-bit+generations-70-1fhx.html">Boundish</a>.</em><br /><br />We have enough trouble keeping Q-Games and <a href="http://www.qentertainment.com/english/english.html">Q? Entertainment</a> (Tetsuya Mizuguchi's company) separate in our minds. Q-Games doing a game like this <em>doesn't help.</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/29/friday-video-generations/">Friday Video: Generations</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 29 Feb 2008 20:00:00 EST. That's just one of the perks of <em>having helped create <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox_%28video_game%29">Star Fox</a></em>, as founder Dylan Cuthbert did. Lately, they've been making the <em>PixelJunk</em> series of high-res downloadable games for the PlayStation Network, having finished up <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/30/metareview-star-fox-command/"><em>Star Fox Command</em></a> for Nintendo.<br /><br />Cuthbert revealed in a Siliconera interview that, in addition to a new <em>PixelJunk</em> title, the company is working on another DS game for Nintendo. Will it be a <em>Star Fox </em>sequel or something interesting? As developers of the Bit Generations title <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digidrive"><em>Digidrive</em></a>, Q-Games has shown a flair for abstract stuff.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/29/q-games-working-on-unannounced-ds-game/">Q-Games working on unannounced DS game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 29 Feb 2008 18:00:00 EST. They've marked some very interesting items down to <em>very interesting prices,</em> and as of right now there are still limited quantities available of most of it.<br /><br />Three of the bit Generations games, <em><a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-49-en-15-digidrive-70-1fi1.html">Digidrive</a>, <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-49-en-15-boundish-70-1fhx.html">Boundish</a>, and <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-77-1-49-en-15-bit+Generations-70-1fhy.html">Dialhex</a>, </em>are available for $9.90 each, and <em><a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-66-77-4-49-en-15-bit+Generations-70-1fi2.html">Soundvoyager</a> </em>for $14.90. <a href="http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-k2-49-en-70-c5i.html"><em>Donkey Kong: King of Swing</em></a> is only $7.90.
