The first trailer for the upcoming "Dawnguard" DLC went live this morning, care of Bethesda's Twitter account, which noted, "E3 arrives early!"<br /><br />The trailer shows off some incredible additions to <em>Skyrim</em>, including winged creatures and giant vortexes and ... there's kind of a lot going on in this trailer, is what we're trying to say. Take a look for yourself just above.<br /><br />Bethesda puts a 1600 MS Point ($20) price on the content, but still hasn't given a release date beyond "this summer."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/31/skyrims-first-dawnguard-dlc-trailer-loosed-ahead-of-e3/">Skyrim's first 'Dawnguard' DLC trailer loosed ahead of E3, coming 'this summer' for $20</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 31 May 2012 10:02:00 EST. The game's upcoming DLC pack "Close Quarters" also got a date and price: June 4, &pound;11.99/&euro;14.99/AU$23.95.<br /><br />As you might imagine, someone at Sony quickly realized the issue and pulled the info ... but not before Google Cache caught it in its icy, permanent grip. We've reached out to EA and Sony for more info, but it sounds like the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/14/rumor-ea-to-reveal-cod-elite-like-service-for-battlefield-3-at/">rumored Call of Duty Elite-esque service</a> for <em>Battlefield 3</em> is more than just a rumor.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/30/battlefield-3-premium-service-dated-for-june-4-alongside-clo/">Battlefield 3 'Premium' service dated for June 4, alongside 'Close Quarters' DLC pack</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 30 May 2012 09:30:00 EST. Thankfully, developer Ronimo has revealed that both the first patch and downloadable character are on the way. As you can see in the teaser image above, it's a <em>lady</em>, which makes her the first female Awesomenaut. We don't know anything officially, though she appears to be wielding some sort of energy ball, has a Medusa hairdo and is <em>clearly</em> riding a hoverboard.<br /><br />Furthermore, <em>Awesomenauts</em>' first update is coming down the pipe. The update will include balance fixes suggested by community members, though Ronimo adds that "so far the consensus appears that the game is already fairly well balanced, which is great." <em>Indeed</em>. Patch notes for the update should be coming next week.<br /><br />Finally, Ronimo states that the launch went smoothly, with over half a million games played since launch, though some users have reported connection errors. The studio is working to resolve the issue, which seems to be related to NAT settings, and advises affected players to reset their routers and consoles as a temporary fix.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/awesomenauts-new-character/">Awesomenauts (New Character)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/awesomenauts-new-character/#5019847"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/agaihcea-1336769261_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/11/first-awesomenauts-dlc-teased-update-incoming/">First Awesomenauts DLC teased, update incoming</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 May 2012 20:00:00 EST. The DLC runs 800 MS Points or $10 on 360 and PS3 (respectively), and the PC version ... well, it seems not to exist. We've asked Ubi what's up with that.<br /><br />The pack contains an unknown number of multiplayer maps, a new co-op "Guerrilla Mode" map, six new weapons, and an additional multiplayer mode. Ubi unfortunately hasn't shown anything of the content aside from the single image you see above, but presumably we'll hear more after the game's launch.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/11/ghost-recon-future-soldiers-arctic-strike-dlc-due-in-july/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's 'Arctic Strike' DLC due in July</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/11/ghost-recon-future-soldiers-arctic-strike-dlc-due-in-july/">Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's 'Arctic Strike' DLC due in July</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 May 2012 11:45:00 EST. This time it's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/saints-row-the-third"><em>Saints Row: The Third</em></a>'s "Enter the Dominatrix" expansion. According to THQ, the new standalone content, taking place after the events of <em>Saint's Row: The Third</em>, will add "freaking super powers" for the price of $30.<br /><br /><em>Enter the Dominatrix</em> arrives this fall, and it'll bring a whole new angle to the world of the Saints: "alien warlord Zinyak and his malevolent race" are apparently trying to grab up all the Earth's resources and/or women. It sounds like those freaking super powers will come in handy, eh? The dubious character seen above - named "Paul," innocuously enough - will also play some role, which remains to be seen. THQ says we'll hear more about <em>Enter the Dominatrix</em> this summer, so keep an ear flap on your gimp mask unzipped for now.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> THQ confirmed to us that Enter the Dominatrix is a standalone expansion and Season Pass owners will have to pay $30 like everyone else.<br /><br /><strong>Update 2:</strong> To be extra <em>extra</em> clear, THQ explained to us that Enter the Dominatrix is a standalone "boxed retail product" that can be played without owning the original <em>Saints Row: The Third</em> disc. It will be available solely at retail (on disc) at launch this fall.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/03/saints-row-the-third-enter-the-dominatrix/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Saints Row: The Third gets 'freaking super powers' this fall in 'Enter the Dominatrix' expansion</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/03/saints-row-the-third-enter-the-dominatrix/">Saints Row: The Third gets 'freaking super powers' this fall in 'Enter the Dominatrix' expansion</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 03 May 2012 11:30:00 EST. Rockstar today announced plans for seven separate DLC packs spanning June through next fall, following the game's launch in May. June's "Local Justice Map Pack" kicks off the content expansions, adding three new multi maps, including one that works with the game's "Gang Wars" mode (Police Precinct), as well as the others (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Payne Killer).<br /><br />This summer will see four additional map packs dropping, and the fall will bring two more. Should all of this be conflicting with your good budget sense, Rockstar's season pass is returning from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/la-noire"><em>LA Noire</em></a>, this time offering a 35 percent discount over buying each pack individually. The pass costs $30.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/01/max-payne-3-dlc-plans-laid-out-grab-all-with-rockstar-pass/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Max Payne 3 DLC plans laid out, grab all with Rockstar pass</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/01/max-payne-3-dlc-plans-laid-out-grab-all-with-rockstar-pass/">Max Payne 3 DLC plans laid out, grab all with Rockstar pass</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 May 2012 11:45:00 EST. That goes for "the foreseeable future after the April 12 date." According to a company rep, the expiration addendum was only attached due to EA's internal policy of putting expiration dates "on all 'no additional cost' content."<br /><br />Announced this morning, <em>Mass Effect 3</em>: <em>Extended Cut</em> aims to assuage fan concerns over the trilogy's finale by adding "additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes" beyond the content already on the game's disc(s). Following <em>Mass Effect 3</em>'s early March launch, fans responded with mixed feelings toward its conclusion, some going as far as to raise a chunk of money in a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/24/childs-play-shuts-down-fundraiser-to-change-mass-effect-3s-end/">donation protest</a> (<strike>the money was later returned</strike>).<br /><br /><em>Mass Effect 3</em>: <em>Extended Cut</em> will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this summer for free (and will remain as such, regardless of required legal notes).<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> We're currently clarifying with Child's Play regarding the status of the donated funds.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/05/no-plans-to-pull-or-charge-for-mass-effect-3-extended-cut-dl/">'No plans' to pull or charge for Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' DLC after expiration date</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 05 Apr 2012 14:15:00 EST. According to the publisher, the content will add "additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes," which will apparently offer fans "further clarity to the ending of <em>Mass Effect 3</em>" and "deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes."<br /><br />The additional content comes as a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/21/mass-effect-3-player-feedback-spawns-content-initiatives-deta/">response to a group of fans</a> who felt the third game ended in an unsatisfactory manner. That outcry apparently had a serious effect at BioWare internally, as project lead Casey Hudson says the team has, "reprioritized [its] post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player."<br /><br />No specific information is given about what said content will be, but we sure hope it means we won't see other DLC packs delayed or scrapped as a result. Studio co-founder Ray Muzyka notes,"With the <em>Mass Effect 3</em>: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team's artistic vision for the end of this story arc."<br /><br />Extended Cut will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC "this summer." It will remain free for download until April 12, 2014, at which point <em>who knows what'll happen</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/05/mass-effect-3-extended-cut-dlc-free-this-summer-offers-furth/">Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' DLC free this summer, offers 'further clarity to the ending'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 05 Apr 2012 09:21:00 EST. We can't be sure, but <em>you specifically</em> will be happy to hear that 10 PlayStation 3 Trophies were dug up by <a href="http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/batman-arkham-city/trophies/">PS3Trophies.org</a> which reveal a yet-to-be announced DLC pack featuring Ms. Quinn.<br /><br />No other description is given for the content other than "Harley Quinn DLC," nor is release date or pricing info, though Robin is noted in one Trophy as a playable character. Moreover, that Trophy addresses an event known as, "Harley Quinn's Revenge," which sounds to us an awful lot like the potential name for the content. We've reached out to WB for more info, and will keep an eye on the sky for any Bat clues.<br /><br />[Thanks, Josh.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/03/trophies-suggest-batman-arkham-city-getting-harley-quinn-dlc/">Trophies suggest Batman: Arkham City getting Harley Quinn DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 03 Apr 2012 12:30:00 EST. Activision is sharing the four-piece bonus with Elite subscribers throughout the coming months, but isn't saying exactly what the content will be. All we know is that it'll be interspersed throughout the planned Elite content "season."<br /><br />Elite's platform ubiquity is increasing as well, with the service's planned launch on tablets coming in the near future. Nearly 2 million folks have already snagged the app across both iOS and Android -- that's quite a few, considering <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/09/call-of-duty-elite-pulls-in-7-million-users-1-5-million-paid-me/">approximately 7 million folks</a> are Elite users. Approximately a month and a half later, the game's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/battlefield-3s-back-to-karkand-expansion-arrives-on-ps3-dec/">first expansion arrived</a>: "Back to Karkand." Aside from a handful of tweaks since, EA's DICE studio has kept relative radio silence. So much so, in fact, that one prominent Battlefield fan site publicly declared its own silence until DICE spoke up (the developer released a missive <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/23/dice-details-next-big-battlefield-3-fix-list/">the following day</a>).<br /><br />It is with this recent history -- now four months since <em>Battlefield 3</em>'s last content drop, and another <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/07/battlefield-3-close-quarters-announced-for-june-two-more-packs/">three months before "Close Quarters"</a> is set to launch -- that we approached a recent interview with DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson. In short, <em>what in the world is taking so damn long</em>?<br /><br />"The reason that we haven't followed up with even more content more quickly, there's a couple of practical reasons," Troedsson told us. "Part of that is that we just need to spend a lot of focus getting the game out. The ambition was to get more packs out earlier, but sometimes you have to prioritize between the base product and what you're doing afterwards." Troedsson also argued that DICE's approach was thematic, not "piecemeal" (Call of Duty's approach), which was a deliberate choice on his studio's part.<br /><br />"If you prefer to have smaller piecemeal packs every now and then, you can go with that. We prefer to do something bigger that has a specific theme, that has maps, weapons, assignments, persistent upgrades, all this kinda stuff," Troedsson said. Could his studio have gotten out this content earlier? "Probably," he said, but DICE ran into its own limitations. "Sometimes we have limitations to what we can and can't do."<br /><br />But without any other announced projects, and EA's Danger Close taking responsibility for its own multiplayer section in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/medal-of-honor-warfighter">coming Medal of Honor game</a> (DICE handled the previous game's multi), it's unclear what other responsibilities are keeping DICE from pushing out <em>Battlefield 3</em> support content more quickly. We'll just have to assume the majority of the studio is head down on a super secret sequel to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/mirrors-edge"><em>Mirror's Edge</em></a>.<br /><br />Beyond "Close Quarters," DICE has two more content packs announced for <em>Battlefield 3</em>, including "Armored Kill" in fall and "End Game" in winter. And yes, Call of Duty's Elite DLC drops continue <em>monthly</em>.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/">Battlefield 3 (Close Quarters - Ziba Tower)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/#4891507"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/03/battlefield-3---close-quarters---ziba-tower--2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/#4891508"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/03/battlefield-3---close-quarters---ziba-tower---before-and-after_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/#4891509"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/03/battlefield-3---close-quarters---ziba-tower-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/#4891510"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/03/battlefield-3---close-quarters---ziba-tower-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/battlefield-3-close-quarters-ziba-tower/#4891511"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/03/battlefield-3---close-quarters---ziba-tower-5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/13/battlefield-3s-lack-of-dlc-dice-general-manager-explains/">Battlefield 3's lack of DLC: DICE general manager explains</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 13 Mar 2012 09:01:00 EST. The expansion includes four maps, 10 weapons and no vehicles -- it's about close quarters, after all.<br /><br />There will be two more expansions for the game following the June expansion. "Armored Kill" will focus on additional weapons, larger maps, and new drivable vehicles. The second pack, called "End Game," features cover art depicting a lunatic holding a knife. That's the extent of what we know about that one so far.<br /><br />The news of this expansion comes at a critical time. Some fans were riled by the revelation, enough so that Capcom has <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelston/blog/2012/03/05/street_fighter_x_tekken:_12_new_characters_coming_to_consoles,_pc_this_fall">issued a statement</a> on the matter.<br /><br />According to the publisher, the DLC was placed on the disc in order to "save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available." Capcom community manager Brett Elston elaborated that including the DLC on the disc will allow all users to play against one another, regardless of whether or not they have purchased the DLC. Having a single, unified version of the game, said Elston, allows "everyone to participate in the update without additional patches or hiccups."<br /><br />Another reason for the on-disc content, said Elston, is Capcom's promise to avoid a "super" version of <em>SFxT</em> akin to <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3">Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3</a>.</em> Capcom's full statement can be found after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/05/capcom-street-fighter-x-tekken-dlc-on-disc-to-ensure-compatibil/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Capcom: Street Fighter X Tekken DLC on-disc to ensure compatibility</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/05/capcom-street-fighter-x-tekken-dlc-on-disc-to-ensure-compatibil/">Capcom: Street Fighter X Tekken DLC on-disc to ensure compatibility</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 05 Mar 2012 17:15:00 EST. Beyond a handful of new objectives on an island paradise (Gallow's End), that's exactly what you'll get out of the upcoming downloadable content for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning"><em>Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning</em></a>, arriving on March 20 to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.<br /><br />The content claims to add 15% more space to the overall world map in <em>Reckoning</em> as well, and introduces new enemy types, dungeon areas, and loot. More importantly, though, it introduces Gravehal Keep, a fancy new domicile for your fate-less explorer to, presumably, throw garish parties. No pricing was given for the content, but we'd wager a dollar that it'll cost at least $10 when it arrives later this month.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> EA confirmed the price at 800 MS Points/$9.99 across all platforms.<span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: normal; text-align: left; "><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/">Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (The Legend of Dead Kel)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/#4858185"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/reckoningdlc1bloodgrin3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/#4858187"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/reckoningdlc1bloodgrin5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/#4858188"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/reckoningdlc1gallows1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/#4858189"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/reckoningdlc1gallowsend02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning-the-legend-of-dead-kel/#4858190"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/reckoningdlc1gallowsend03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/29/the-legend-of-dead-kel-is-reckonings-second-dlc-arrives-on-m/">'The Legend of Dead Kel' is Reckoning's second DLC, arrives on March 20</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Feb 2012 08:30:00 EST. The one with all the ridiculous existential questions, who had clearly lost his mind many moons before Desmond's arrival? Apparently that dude is the focus of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/17/assassins-creed-revelations-dlc-named-priced-dated-by-gamest/">the next DLC pack for <em>AC: R</em></a>, The Lost Archive, as a retailer-leaked video reveals.<br /><br />The game's listing on <a href="http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/assassin-s-creed-revelations-ottoman-edition/10594189.html">Zavvi</a> reportedly had the above video before it was pulled, though the retail site still lists some details about the third DLC pack's contents. Beyond the campaign stuff you'll be running through as Subject 16, the Lost Archive DLC comes with three character skins, Ezio's Turkish-flavored assassins armor, a fancy robe from Altair, and Brutus' armor.<br /><br />It looks like the Lost Archive may aim to link <em>Revelations</em> to the barely detailed <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/15/assassins-creed-3-arrives-on-october-30/">next Assassin's Creed franchise entry</a>, but we can't be sure just yet. We've asked Ubisoft for more details and will update this post if we hear more. Revealed on GTTV tonight [via <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/2012/02/17/gears-of-war-3s-forces-of-nature-dlc-revealed-on-gt-tv/">Side Mission</a>], the "Forces of Nature" DLC will add three new maps to <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Gears-of-War-3/">Gears of War 3</a></em> dubbed Aftermath, Artillery, and Cove along with two returning locales, Jacinto and Raven Down.<br /><br />Revealed by Epic executive produce Rod Fergusson, each map is described as taking place in the middle of or in the aftermath of a natural disaster. <em>Gears of War 3</em> '<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/29/gears-of-war-3-gets-30-season-pass-first-dlc-in-november/">Season Pass</a>' holders will get the content free when it launches on March 27. No price was established for the DLC, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/21/gears-of-war-3-adds-fenix-rising-map-pack-on-jan-17/">previous</a> multiplayer DLC was made available for 800MS Points ($10).<br /><br />In addition to the maps, the DLC includes four character models, three of which were previously available as a pre-order bonus (seen after the break); five new weapon skins for immediate use; and two skins only unlockable via the Forces of Nature content. It's a good thing we didn't bronze our Lancers, because it looks like more grubs need killing.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/17/gears-of-war-3-forces-of-nature-dlc-emerges-march-27/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Gears of War 3 'Forces of Nature' DLC emerges March 27</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/17/gears-of-war-3-forces-of-nature-dlc-emerges-march-27/">Gears of War 3 'Forces of Nature' DLC emerges March 27</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 Feb 2012 02:39:00 EST. "<em>NeverDead</em> Expansion Pack Volume 1" will let you try a new playable character and play co-op challenges with pop star Nikki Summerfield. The pack will also let you visit an expanded version of the Asylum level, with three new challenges, including taking hold of "score zones," racing across the map through a series of traps and hazards, and a mode called Onslaught, in which you unlock the zone section-by-section by defeating enemies.<br /><br />The expansion will also give segmented hero Bryce Boltzmann two new costumes to dress up in, and you can see some shots of the content in the gallery below. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/31/neverdead-review/">Our <em>NeverDead</em> review</a> called Summerfield a "whiny pop singer," but hey, maybe spending a little more time with her will make you see her in a whole new light.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/">Neverdead Expansion Pack Volume 1</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/#4802526"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/neverdeaddlc1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/#4802527"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/neverdeaddlc2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/#4802529"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/neverdeaddlc3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/#4802530"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/neverdeaddlc4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/neverdead-expansion-pack-volume-1/#4802531"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/neverdeaddlc5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/08/neverdead-dlc-coming-feb-21-with-new-playable-character-and-mod/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NeverDead DLC coming Feb. 21 with new playable character and modes</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/08/neverdead-dlc-coming-feb-21-with-new-playable-character-and-mod/">NeverDead DLC coming Feb. 21 with new playable character and modes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 Feb 2012 02:30:00 EST. You've been shooting dudes for nearly three months since <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3"><em>Modern Warfare 3</em></a>'s early November launch, but that Elite pass has yet to offer more than a chance to watch your buddy Tim's lame gameplay clips. That's all about to change! The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/21/first-modern-warfare-3-dlc-drops-january-24-on-xbox/">first DLC</a> is nearly upon us, and here is your first tour.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/tour-the-killing-fields-of-modern-warfare-3s-first-dlc-with-lat/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tour the killing fields of Modern Warfare 3's first DLC with latest media</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/tour-the-killing-fields-of-modern-warfare-3s-first-dlc-with-lat/">Tour the killing fields of Modern Warfare 3's first DLC with latest media</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Jan 2012 13:10:00 EST. With discounts being offered daily on Xbox Live across Microsoft's "12 Days of Deals" winter promotion, we've seen big price drops in everything from <em>Fallout 3</em> and <em>New Vegas</em> to <em>Halo: Reach</em>. Today, Microsoft throws John Marston into the mix, offering price breaks on the entire <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/red-dead-redemption"><em>Red Dead Redemption</em></a> DLC catalog as well as the original game itself in downloadable form.<br />
<br />
While all the DLC is seeing prices cut in half, the game itself varies in price depending on where you buy it. Here in the US, it'll run you $29.99 (25 percent off). Of course, if you don't already own the game and you buy it plus all this DLC, you'll be spending $5 more than the cost of the "Game of the Year" edition, which <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/13/red-dead-redemption-game-of-the-year-packs-a-wallop-at-a-disco/">includes all the DLC</a> plus a "brand-new hardcore single-player mode." Weigh your options wisely, partners!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/xblm-discounts-red-dead-dlc-in-ninth-day-of-savings/">XBLM discounts Red Dead DLC in ninth day of savings</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Dec 2011 12:15:00 EST. It's pretty unlikely at this point that you own an Xbox 360 without a copy of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/halo-reach"><em>Halo: Reach</em></a> in some form or another. But if for some crazy reason you just got an Xbox 360 and you're <em>still</em> missing out on Bungie's swan song to the Spartans, Microsoft's got a digital version of the game discounted alongside all of its DLC (well, most of it, anyway -- the Anniversary Map Pack is sadly absent).<br />
<br />
There's also a handful of Avatar clothing/items, as well as the always thrilling "Anchor 9 Premium Theme," <em>you big collector, you</em>. Head to <a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Halo-Reach/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d53085b?nosplash=1%3Fcid%3Dmajornelson&amp;partner=majornelson&amp;SortBy=BestSellingToday">Xbox.com</a>'s Halo: Reach section to see how today's discounts apply to your region.<br />
<br />
Should Halo not be your particular bag, a whole mess of other deals are being offering in the coming days and weeks, mostly of the Hasbro variety. Major Nelson has conveniently compiled them for you <a href="http://majornelson.com/2011/12/27/coming-soon-to-the-xbox-live-marketplace-15/">right here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/27/halo-prices-dropped-across-the-board-on-xblm-today-discounts-on/">Halo prices dropped across the board on XBLM today, discounts on other titles in the pipeline</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 27 Dec 2011 13:30:00 EST. To be honest, we thought Duke's DNA was too invincible to be cloned, but here we are. A new set of DLC for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/duke-nukem-forever"><em>Duke Nukem Forever</em></a> drops on Tuesday, adding new single-player and multiplayer content. Dr. Proton has cloned Duke in Area 51 and now Duke's gotta eradicate 'em all. Sounds like par for the course.<br />
<br />
On the multiplayer side, The Doctor Who Cloned Me also adds four new multiplayer maps to the game: Sky High, Command, Drop Zone and Biohazard. You can see some images of the DLC in our gallery below.<br />

Surprisingly, the Raam's Shadow DLC for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/gears-of-war-3"><em>Gears of War 3</em></a> is about more than just a solemn Locust brooding in the darkness. It's also about shooting lots of stuff with enormous future guns, as portrayed in the latest screens.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/08/raams-shadow-dlc-showcased-in-latest-gears-of-war-3-screens/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Raam's Shadow DLC showcased in latest Gears of War 3 screens</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/08/raams-shadow-dlc-showcased-in-latest-gears-of-war-3-screens/">Raam's Shadow DLC showcased in latest Gears of War 3 screens</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 08 Dec 2011 12:55:00 EST. As promised, EA and DICE are delivering <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/battlefield-3"><em>Battlefield 3</em></a>'s first expansion, "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/back-to-karkand">Back to Karkand</a>," in December, though today we learned from the Battlefield blog that there's a specific date: December 6. Given that all of Battlefield 3's expansions will <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/22/battlefield-3-expansions-to-arrive-one-week-earlier-on-ps3/">arrive one week early</a> on PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and PC versions of said DLC won't arrive until December 13.<br />
<br />
If you've missed the variety of videos showcasing Back to Karkand, the pack is composed of four maps from previous Battlefield games, all remade in <em>Battlefield 3</em>'s "Frostbite 2.0" game engine. Put more simply: there will be a few more places to murder folks online, as well as a variety of new vehicles with which to do so.<br />
<br />
The pack will be free for folks who picked up the "Limited Edition" version of <em>BF3</em> at launch, and will cost $15 for the have-nots.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/battlefield-3s-back-to-karkand-expansion-arrives-on-ps3-dec/">Battlefield 3's 'Back to Karkand' expansion arrives on PS3 Dec. 6, 360 and PC on Dec. 13</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Dec 2011 15:47:00 EST. You've had a full day to let the madness that is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/saints-row-the-third"><em>Saints Row: The Third</em></a> sink in. Now what? Well you'll need a gun that shoots fish guts, <em>obviously</em>. Volition is delivering just that for $1.99 in the "Shark-o-Matic" gun, along with a separate $2.99 cheats pack for <em>dirty</em>, <em>dirty</em> cheaters.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.shacknews.com/article/71112/saints-row-the-third-cheats-offered-as-pay-dlc">Shacknews</a> spotted both packs popping up -- alongside the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/10/thq-announces-the-first-saints-row-the-third-season-pass/">expected $20 "season pass"</a> -- in all three versions of the title as of this morning, kicking off what is said to be a whopping <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/08/thq-ceo-talks-up-cloud-gaming-plans-40-weeks-of-saints-row-3-dl/">40 weeks of additional content</a>. Beyond the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/15/cheapassgamers-cheapyd-will-be-your-homie-in-saints-row-the-t/">upcoming (free) CheapyD DLC</a>, we know of three mission packs -- "Genkibowl VII," "Gangstas In Space," and "The Trouble With Clones" -- as well as the Nyte Blayde DLC pack that THQ has in store for <em>SR3</em> players. Presumably we'll see more ... <em>uh</em> ... next week!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/16/saints-row-the-third-dlc-kicks-off-with-invincibility-shark-o/">Saints Row: The Third DLC kicks off with invincibility, 'Shark-o-Matic'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 Nov 2011 17:30:00 EST. Perhaps the selection of well-dressed assassins available in <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/assassins-creed-revelations">Assassin's Creed: Revelations</a> </em>isn't enough for you. You folks know <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/cheapyd">CheapyD</a>, right? He's the owner and proprietor of gaming deals site <a href="http://www.cheapassgamer.com">CheapAssGamer</a>, as well as a swell dude and friend of the site. He's also a big fan of the Saints Row series -- so much so, in fact, that he donated a heap of change to the Ashley Ames Foundation last summer in order to become a character in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/saints-row-the-third"><em>Saints Row: The Third</em></a>.<br />
<br />
What began as a bit role (a random pedestrian) turned into a full-on downloadable pack, adding Cheapy to the game as a "homie." Like in <em>Saints Row 2</em>, homies can be called to help out during missions or whenever you may need them. Cheapy says he recorded "approximately 150 lines" for the character, all done from his Tokyo, Japan apartment with direction over Skype from Volition devs.<br />
<br />
He's not sure when the pack will be available (though he's been told it's coming out sooner than later), and it'll be free for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC players.<br />

For those of us currently slaying dragons in the frigid realm of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/skyrim"><em>Skyrim</em></a>, pushing ever towards the review embargo this Thursday and launch thereafter, a game patch was spotted upon initial startup. Bethesda reps tell reviewers that the patch "fixes some minor stability and quest progression issues," and that it will be received automatically by players on day one. <br />
<br />
If fixes to "minor stability and quest progression issues" don't get you excited, perhaps the prospect of "bigger and more substantial" downloadable content will, as teased by Bethesda creative lead Todd Howard earlier this week. "We're not going to do be doing a lot of it. Our high-level thinking is that there'll be not as many," he told <a href="http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/11/skyrim-dlc/">Wired</a>, before he explained the company's <em>Fallout</em>-esque approach to <em>Skyrim</em>'s DLC. Valve has just unveiled plans for the second downloadable content package coming to this year's big sequel, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/portal-2"><em>Portal 2</em></a>: an "in-game editor!" According to a PR statement from the company, the next DLC is currently "in development and targeted for release early next year."<br />
<br />
Apparently some form of community functionality will be attached to player creations, allowing other users to "view, play, and vote" on various levels. Outside of some cursory details -- the editor will allow players to create and share both single-player and co-op levels -- little is known about how editing will work, or if the DLC will arrive on both PC/Mac and consoles.<br />
<br />
With Steam support on all but one console, the Xbox 360, we wouldn't be surprised if the second <em>Portal 2</em> DLC doesn't arrive everywhere. But then Valve head Gabe Newell <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/19/final-hours-of-portal-2-app-talks-possible-level-editor-features/">indicated differently in a recent interview</a>, so we just can't be sure. We've reached out to Valve for some clarity.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/portal-2-map-editor/">Portal 2 (Map Editor)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/portal-2-map-editor/#4548591"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/10/portal2mapeditor01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/portal-2-map-editor/#4548592"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/10/portal2mapeditor02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/21/portal-2s-second-dlc-is-an-in-game-editor-arrives-early-nex/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Portal 2's second DLC is an 'in-game editor,' arrives 'early next year'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/21/portal-2s-second-dlc-is-an-in-game-editor-arrives-early-nex/">Portal 2's second DLC is an 'in-game editor,' arrives 'early next year'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Oct 2011 15:27:00 EST. When it comes to release dates pertaining to the Gran Turismo series, fans know better than to expect developer Polyphony Digital to actually meet those deadlines. It should come as no surprise, then, that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/gran-turismo-5"><em>Gran Turismo 5</em></a>'s first big DLC release, originally intended to launch on October 18, will now be drifting to October 25 in North America.<br />
<br />
As <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/11/gran-turismo-5-dlc-coming-october-18-update-out-today/">previously explained</a>, the DLC can either be purchased in one big $11.99 bundle, or piecemeal as tracks, cars, racing gear, and paint jobs. Sony apologized for the delay but didn't provide a reason for it. Instead, the company will include a "special bonus" with the DLC on October 25, so you've got that going for you.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/18/gran-turismo-5-dlc-delayed-to-october-25/">Gran Turismo 5 DLC delayed to October 25</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Oct 2011 12:20:00 EST. In honor of the <em>Rock Band</em> Facebook page topping 2 million "Likes," Harmonix decided to let news loose a bit early about some varied, excellent artists arriving on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/rock-band-3"><em>Rock Band 3</em></a>'s DLC service in the "coming weeks and months." We're actually inclined to skip right over two of the groups -- Breaking Benjamin and Dream Theater -- as they've both already had DLC tracks added to <em>RB3</em> in the past. Here are the two brand new biggies: Stevie Wonder and Coldplay. We simply <em>cannot</em> say "Hooray!" loudly enough.<br />
<br />
No mention is made of which songs specifically will be launched, but Coldplay, Breaking Benjamin, and Stevie Wonder all have full track packs on the way, while Dream Theater's keeping it more low key with a single. Perhaps if you go "like" the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/RockBand">Facebook page</a> we can get Stevie Wonder right now? Maybe just one track, even?<br />
<br />

It may have missed it's planned "summer" launch window, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/portal-2"><em>Portal 2</em></a>'s first, <em>totally free DLC</em> "Peer Review" is being made available to download today via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Valve's own Steam distribution service. As <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/30/free-portal-2-peer-review-dlc-drops-on-october-4/">previously detailed</a>, the content delivers a brand new co-op track for everybody's favorite anthropomorphic duo, and once again features everybody's favorite murderous robot.<br />
<br />
And hey, if for some crazy reason you don't already own <em>Portal 2</em>, we're not sure we can continue this relationship. But we've got a way you can get things fixed up: pick up the game on the cheap right now, for just $14.99 (that's 50 percent off, folks).<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/04/psa-portal-2s-peer-review-dlc-now-available-full-game-for-h/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PSA: Portal 2's 'Peer Review' DLC now available, full game for half price on Steam</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/04/psa-portal-2s-peer-review-dlc-now-available-full-game-for-h/">PSA: Portal 2's 'Peer Review' DLC now available, full game for half price on Steam</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 04 Oct 2011 17:10:00 EST. We don't take kindly to publishers making us into <em>liars</em> here at Joystiq, so you can imagine how we feel about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dead-island"><em>Dead Island</em></a> dev Techland announcing a delay in the release of its upcoming Bloodbath Arena DLC after originally pinning a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/10/dead-islands-first-dlc-bloodbath-arena-to-make-a-splash-later/">"late September" window</a> on it. <em>Spittin' mad</em>, you might say. As it turns out, rather than Bloodbath Arena ... erm ... flowing to the game by the end of this month (that's today) as originally planned, it's been moved to an undetermined date.<br />
<br />
Techland tries weaseling out of responsibility for its blatant disrespect of our Serious Journalistic Integrity[TM] by blaming, "Further polishing of the main game," as the reason for said delay. "We know that fans are eagerly waiting for it and apologise for any inconvenience," the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/deadislandgame/posts/273004662722982">post</a> additionally notes, taunting us further. Apparently a "release update" will come next week, but after all we've been through this morning, who can we even trust anymore?!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/30/dead-island-bloodbath-arena-dlc-launch-held-up-by-work-on-main/">Dead Island 'Bloodbath Arena' DLC launch held up by work on main game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 Sep 2011 19:00:00 EST.
