Strangely, the discounts are about <em>half</em> Wii music-game themed -- things like the Wii versions of <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/michael-jackson-the-experience">Michael Jackson: The Experience</a> </em>(the Deal of the Day at $30), <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/rock-band-3">Rock Band 3</a></em>, and <em>Dance Dance Revolution</em>.<br />
<br />
However, the non-Wii part includes savings on the DS version of <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/plants-vs-zombies">Plants vs. Zombies</a>,</em> <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dragon-quest-vi-realms-of-revelation">Dragon Quest VI</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/civilization-v">Civilization V</a></em> and others, so the lack of a fully committed theme is forgivable. Find the list after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/23/dragon-quest-vi-medal-of-honor-and-a-bunch-of-wii-music-items/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dragon Quest VI, Medal of Honor, and a bunch of Wii music items in Amazon Gold Box</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/23/dragon-quest-vi-medal-of-honor-and-a-bunch-of-wii-music-items/">Dragon Quest VI, Medal of Honor, and a bunch of Wii music items in Amazon Gold Box</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 23 Feb 2011 10:40:00 EST. <br />
A pair of other newly-released RPGs also did quite well: the PS3 version of tri-Ace's shooty-RPG <em>End of Eternity</em> (we call it "<a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/resonance-of-fate">Resonance of Fate</a>") landed in second place on the weekly software chart with 118,088 units sold (the Xbox version charted respectably at #8, selling 27,048 units) and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ar-tonelico-3">Ar Tonelico 3</a> </em>hit #4 with 81,633 copies sold. Even the Japanese release of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/MAG/"><em>MAG</em></a> managed to make it into the top ten!<br />

Square Enix is promoting the DS remake of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/dragon-quest-vi"><em>Dragon Quest VI</em></a> the same way it did for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/06/dqiv-better-than-actual-questing-says-commercial/">IV</a> </em>and <em>V</em>: with a wonderfully goofy commercial featuring actors dressed up as hilarious semi-realistic versions of the game's Akira Toriyama characters. This ad totally fills us with nostalgia for a childhood that we didn't actually spend playing this game!<br />
<br />
Check out the new ad after the break. <em>Dragon Quest VI </em>will be out in Japan this week, with a Western release to follow at some unspecified later date.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/25/dragon-quest-vi-advertised-in-japan-by-these-guys/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dragon Quest VI advertised in Japan by these guys</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/25/dragon-quest-vi-advertised-in-japan-by-these-guys/">Dragon Quest VI advertised in Japan by these guys</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jan 2010 17:15:00 EST. <br />
Even 14 years after its release, we found ourselves occasionally <em>wow</em>ed by the trailer. The boat went underwater! The covered wagon floats! The characters look like every other Akira Toriyama character! (The last one was a different kind of <em>wow</em>). By the time the traditional theme came up, we were <em>thrilled</em> about <em>Realms of Reverie</em>. Too bad it's only coming out in <em>Japan</em> on January 28, with its North American release at some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/11/dragon-quest-vi-dated-for-japan/">unspecified later date</a>.<br />

The publisher announced that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dragon-quest-vi"><em>Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie</em></a>, the last of the planned DS remakes, will be out in Japan on January 28, just over a month after <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/08/japanese-final-fantasy-xiii-release-date-bundle-confirmed/">another</a> big RPG franchise release. We can now attempt a guess at when the North American release will take place, given the release dates of the last two games.<br />
<br />
<em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/dragon-quest-iv">Dragon Quest IV</a></em> came out in Japan in November 2007, and then in America in September 2008 -- ten months apart.<em> <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/dragon-quest-v">Dragon Quest V</a></em> was released in July 2008 in Japan, and February 2009 in North America, just seven months apart. Therefore,<em> Dragon Quest VI</em> will probably be released in America in ... spring 2010. That's when every game is coming out.<br />

Unsurprisingly, it looks, graphically, just like the other two DS <em>Dragon Quest</em> remakes, also developed by Artepiazza.<br /><br />So why is it exciting? Well, for one thing, <em>Dragon Quest</em> games tend to be good. But most importantly, like <em>Dragon Quest V</em>, the Super Famicom version of <em>Realms of Reverie</em> never left Japan, and this DS version has already been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/21/square-enix-reveals-dragon-quest-iv-us-release-date-confirms-v/">announced</a> for localization. North America will then finally have the whole numbered <em>Dragon Quest</em> series. Well, except for <em>IX</em>, but we can also be pretty sure that's coming.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/07/dragon-quest-vi-screens-of-reverie/">Dragon Quest VI: Screens of Reverie</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 07 Oct 2009 14:15:00 EST. Is today <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/21/nintendo-confirms-injection-of-color-for-european-dses/">the DS day</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/21/the-sweet-sounds-of-bangai-o-spirits-in-europe-this-august/">of awesome</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/21/flowers-dungeons-and-pain-confirmed-for-europe/">for Europe</a>, or what?<br />
<br />
The latest trio of games announced for the continent are none other than the <em>Dragon Quests</em>. We only reported this morning that <em>Dragon Quest IV</em>, <em>V</em>, and <em>VI</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/21/square-enix-reveals-dragon-quest-iv-us-release-date-confirms-v/">were North American bound</a>, so hearing about a European (and other PALs) confirmation so soon afterward was a pleasant surprise. Not only that, but <em>DQIV</em> will be releasing in PAL nations this September, too -- maybe Square Enix really meant it when they said they were aiming for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/11/square-enix-aiming-for-simultaneous-game-releases/">simultaneous</a> worldwide releases. (Yes, we know it came out in Japan <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/30/dragon-quest-iv-boosts-ds-sales-in-japan/">ages ago</a>.)<br />
<br />
Together, these three games combine to form the <em>Zenithia Trilogy</em>. There's no word on when to expect <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/23/new-square-trademark-points-to-dqv-localization/">Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride</a> </em>or <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/28/dragon-quest-vi-already-trademarked-in-u-s/">Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie</a></em>, but that's okay. We're just glad to know they're coming.<br />

The first <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/esrb-rates-dragon-quest-iv-virtually-seals-u-s-release/"><em>official</em> news</a> is out regarding a North American release for <em>Dragon Quest IV</em>, in the form of the <a href="http://na.square-enix.com/dq4/">official website</a>. The site doesn't have much information up about the game -- <em>except</em> its release date, September 16. English screens and stuff can come later!<br />
<br />
The <em>real</em> news is on the new <em>Dragon Quest</em> <a href="http://na.square-enix.com/zenithia">series site</a>, which shows pretty unambiguously that the <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dragon-quest-v/">Dragon Quest V</a> </em>and <em>VI</em> remakes are on the way as well, with matching alliterative subtitles (<em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/23/new-square-trademark-points-to-dqv-localization/">Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/28/dragon-quest-vi-already-trademarked-in-u-s/">Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie</a></em>). This will be the first U.S. release for these two games (<em>IV</em> was released on the NES) and their availability will mean that, for the first time since <em>IV,</em> every main <em>Dragon Quest</em> game has had a U.S. release.<br />
