Is your palate in need of some cleansing after drinking that disgusting, irradiated toilet water? Why not slurp down some crisp, refreshing Nuka-Cola? "Because it's not a real thing," you say? You obviously haven't been following the efforts of <a href="http://jmguelzo.tumblr.com/post/2856826792/i-designed-my-own-fallout-3-nuka-cola-bottles-i">Joel Guelzo</a>, who recently made that dream a reality.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/23/refresh-yourself-with-a-diy-nuka-cola-six-pack/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Refresh yourself with a DIY Nuka-Cola six pack</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/23/refresh-yourself-with-a-diy-nuka-cola-six-pack/">Refresh yourself with a DIY Nuka-Cola six pack</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 23 Jan 2011 11:30:00 EST. Right, stay with us now -- Harcos, creators of the gaming-themed "beverage" <a href="http://www.manapotions.com/">Mana Energy Potion</a>, have <a href="http://lunia.ijji.com/harcos.nhn">formed a partnership</a> with multiplayer game portal Ijji to bring the "beverage" to the latter company's anime-influenced MMO, <a href="http://lunia.ijji.com/"><em>Lunia</em></a>. Yes, the game-themed Mana Energy Potion has disembarked from the physical plane, and returned to the virtual world, either adding another layer of originality to the "beverage," or stripping said originality away altogether.<br /><br />You may also be wondering why we keep putting quotes around the word "beverage." That's to symbolize the fact that if we were telling you this story in person, we'd be doing the finger-quote thing every time we said the word, as if to convey our less-than-favorable feelings towards the "beverage." <br /><br />Get it? No? How about this -- Mana Energy Potions taste like <a href="http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/000373.php"><em>rotten prison wine</em></a><em>. </em>Is that clear enough for you?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/30/mana-energy-potions-being-sold-in-lunia-mmo/">Mana Energy Potions being sold in Lunia MMO</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 19:00:00 EST. See, the game has <a href="http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1218102_1124.html">sold 967,675 copies in its first two days</a> on Japanese store shelves, which is close to a million, which means that, if <em>Pok&eacute;mon Platinum</em> were an American music album, it would almost be a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_recording_sales_certifications">platinum record</a>. Once we realized that, the headline just wrote itself. As did this explanatory paragraph ...<br /><br />Look, <em>Pok&eacute;mon</em> games are still popular in Japan, all right? That's all we're trying to say here! Sheesh! We need a drink.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/09/18/pokemon-platinum-nears-a-million-sales-in-two-days/">DS Fanboy</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/18/pokemon-platinum-approaches-er-platinum-status-in-japan/">Pokémon Platinum approaches, er, platinum status in Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Sep 2008 17:45:00 EST. But now we aren't so sure. While the Wii has enjoyed mainstream attention, a mega-hit pack-in game, and a fantastic early lineup, the GameCube had <em>Gamer Ade.<br /><br /></em>Can the Wii compete with a console with its own energy drink? We don't see how. Gamer Ade was handed out to "Nintendo publication employees" (which we think <em>must</em> mean <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/18/nintendo-power-gets-a-new-publisher/"><em>Nintendo Power</em></a>) and no one else, presumably because <em>too much Ade could be dangerous.</em><br /><br />Luckily, the Wii is not hopeless. One lucky Wii owner (or non-Wii owner, eBay doesn't care!) can harness the power of one long-expired can of this limited-edition drink, for only 99 cents (as of right now!)<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.gamesniped.com/2007/11/19/nintendo-prototypes-kiler-istinct-vest-gamecube-drink/">GameSniped</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/19/the-gamecubes-advantage-old-beverages/">The GameCube's advantage: old beverages</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Nov 2007 17:00:00 EST.
