You can <a href="http://www.cavestory.org/othergames_guxt.php">download and play the game online</a> for free on the PC right now, though the game will be updated for Nintendo's handheld for sure.<br /><br />One of the game's producers has tweeted that <a href="https://twitter.com/tyronerodriguez/status/267338758335102977">the title will have a "vertical display mode"</a>, so players will be able to tilt the 3DS to hold it vertically, and see the game on a correctly-aligned screen, rather than having a bar running through the middle of the action. Unfortunately, there's no word on exactly when the game will arrive, but considering it's been in development for a while., "soon" is probably the answer you're looking for. Stay tuned.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/22/cave-story-devs-guxt-rated-for-3ds-will-include-vertical-displ/">Cave Story dev's Guxt rated for 3DS, will include vertical display mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 22 Nov 2012 02:30:00 EST. Neal Tiles, formerly <a href="http://www.g4tv.com/g4/about/management/NealTiles.html">president of the G4 television network</a>, stepped down earlier today, and parent company NBCUniversal has <a href="http://www.deadline.com/2012/01/former-nbc-marketing-chief-adam-stotsky-named-general-manager-of-g4/">announced that Adam Stotsky</a> will take his place. Stotsky is a former president of marketing at NBC, but now will head up the entire G4 network, overseeing everything from programming to publicity and digital operations.<br />
<br />
Stotsky is the first big appointment by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonnie_Hammer">recently appointed NBCU president Bonnie Hammer</a>, who picked up oversight of G4 and E! last year when Comcast merged with NBC Universal. We don't know exactly what Stotsky plans to put on the schedule at G4 going forward, but if he's taking any cues from his predecessor, it's probably lots <a href="http://www.g4tv.com/schedule/index.html?datetime=01/06/2012%2007:00%20AM">more Cheaters and Cops.</a><br />
<br />

It appears that rather than attempting to appeal the ESRB's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/19/manhunt-2-rated-ao-by-esrb/">AO rating</a>, Rockstar has decided to lose some of the violent content from <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Manhunt2/">Manhunt 2</a></em>. In fact, they've gotten it all the way down to E. In our opinion, the changes seem to be for the better. <br /><br />We play games about killing dudes <em>all the time.</em> But when was the last time you played a game where, using the Nintendo Wii's innovative motion controller, you held someone down and forced them to take an adorable puppy? <em>Never,</em> that's when. <em>This </em>is the kind of thing we want to play-- creepily-intense-niceness simulators. Put us down for one copy.<br /><br />... yeah, we know. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/levelup/archive/2007/07/03/top-six-gaming-tidbits-for-july-3rd-2007.aspx">Level Up</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/03/manhunt-2-looks-a-lot-more-fun-since-the-esrb-incident/">Manhunt 2 looks a lot more fun since the ESRB incident</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 03 Jul 2007 17:25:00 EST. Joystiq &amp; engadget <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/18/live-from-nintendos-wii-launch-in-new-york/">hit the scene</a> at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/19/wii-launch-wrap-up/">NYC's Wii launch party</a> (coverage continues throughout the next few days). At the after-party at my place, we were horrified to see how pathetic the selection of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/18/wii-store-now-open-for-business/">Virtual Console games</a> were (Where the heck is my <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/01/comparing-the-virtual-console-launch-by-region/"><em>Gunstar Heroes</em></a>? When do <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/08/esrb-approves-mario-rpg-12-more-vc-titles/"><em>Mario RPG</em> and <em>Super Metroid</em></a> come out?). I'm glad to pay my hard-earned dollar on retro games, but damn it--I can't do that if they're not being offered right now!<br /><br />Interestingly, if I so chose to embrace the Dark Side, I could use <a href="http://dev-e.sakura.ne.jp/">[e]mulator</a>, from homebrew developer "e". This application includes emulators for a wide variety of systems: Wonderswan, Lynx, PC Engine, Neo Geo Pocket, Game Gear, Game Boy, and Famicom (NES). If one is so inclined, they can visit the site, download the file, and use a program like <a href="http://www.rarlab.com/">WinRAR</a> to extract the files. Don't worry, there's a very <a href="http://www.engrish.com">Engrish</a> read-me that should theoretically walk you through the process.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.psp-vault.com/Article755.psp">PSP-Vault</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/19/e-mulate-seven-consoles-in-one-homebrew-application/">[E]mulate seven consoles in one homebrew application</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 19 Nov 2006 12:00:00 EST.
