Valve's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/steam">Steam</a> service just got <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/2741/">an injection of Interplay titles</a>, with a host of new games currently available for download. There's the classic <em>Fallout </em>games, which include <em>Fallout, Fallout 2</em> and <em>Fallout Tactics </em>(available individually for $8.99 or as <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/news/2741/">a bundle for $20</a>), but also <em>Kingpin </em>($8.99) and <em>Sacrifice</em> ($8.99), the former being a bloody FPS and the latter being an inventive combat-focused RTS. If you've got a PC, we'd suggest you at least check out the original <em>Fallout</em>. There's a demo you can grab from CNET <a href="http://download.cnet.com/Fallout-demo/3000-7539_4-10008318.html">right here</a>.<br />
<br />
[<strong>Update: </strong>Shagittarius reminds us that you can get <em>Fallout </em>games (not to mention <em>Sacrifice</em> and <em>Kingpin</em>) from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gog">GoG</a> with no DRM for a few bucks less than Steam.] <br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/20/interplay-games-including-the-fallout-series-now-on-steam/">Interplay games (including the Fallout series) now on Steam</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Aug 2009 18:00:00 EST. Do you find yourself with a good quarter-hour to kill this Sunday evening? Do you have a relatively fast internet connection? Are you curious about the mythos of the <em>Fallout </em>universe -- curiosity spawned from excitement over Bethesda's upcoming entry into the franchise, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=Fallout%203" style="font-style: italic;">Fallout 3</a><em>? </em>Do you have absolutely no plans to go back and play the earlier installments in said franchise, and therefore have no hangups over having the plots of said games spoiled for you? <br /><br />If the answer to all of the above questions is an exuberant "yes", you really have no reason not to check out <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42026.html?type=mov">Gametrailers' <em>Fallout</em> Retrospective</a>, which we've posted after the break. Unless, of course, you were lying earlier -- in which case, <em>this conversation is over</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/26/get-caught-up-with-the-15-minute-fallout-retrospective/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Get caught up with the 15-minute Fallout Retrospective </em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/26/get-caught-up-with-the-15-minute-fallout-retrospective/">Get caught up with the 15-minute Fallout Retrospective </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 26 Oct 2008 21:30:00 EST.
