Following May's <em>Anchorage </em>and<em> The Pitt</em> combo-pack, Bethesda has confirmed with Joystiq that the second <em>Fallout 3</em> DLC <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/19/fallout-3-dlc-coming-to-ps3-beginning-late-june-two-new-multipl/">retail pack</a> featuring <em>Broken Steel</em> and <em>Point Lookout</em> will hit store shelves on August 25 for $20 on both Xbox 360 and PC. You'll need Mothership Zeta - the fifth and "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/31/mothership-zeta-is-final-fallout-3-dlc/">final</a>" piece of <em>Fallout 3</em> DLC - to round out your DLC collection. It's currently available for $10.<br />
<br />
If you're late to the <em>Fallout 3</em> bus, you may want to consider holding off until October when you can pick up the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/19/fallout-3-dlc-coming-to-ps3-beginning-late-june-two-new-multipl/">previously announced</a> <em>Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition</em> which bundles the game with all five DLC packs. It's currently listed for $59.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases, and $49.99 for PC with an October 13th release date on both <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/ref=br_ss_hs/002-6940686-1537663?field-keywords=fallout%203%20game%20of%20the%20year&amp;platform=gurupa&amp;url=index%3Dblended">Amazon</a> and <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/browse/search.aspx?N=0&amp;Ntk=TitleKeyword&amp;Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&amp;Ntt=%20%09%20%09Fallout%203%20Game%20Of%20The%20Year">GameStop</a>. Unfortunately, Bethesda's not ready to talk about it until that last DLC pack is out the door so consider those prices and that date boring 'ol retailer placeholders.<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/11/2nd-fallout-3-dlc-pack-at-retail-aug-25-goty-edition-listed-fo/">2nd Fallout 3 DLC pack at retail Aug. 25; GOTY edition listed for Oct. 13</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Aug 2009 17:01:00 EST. <div align="center"> <em><font size="1">SPOILER WARNING: Don't watch unless you really want to ruin the ending of </font></em><font size="1">Fallout 3</font>!<br /></div>
Bethesda has released a trailer for the third -- and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/01/retailer-listings-suggest-fourth-fallout-3-expansion/">only <em>maybe </em>final</a> -- DLC expansion for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fallout-3"><em>Fallout 3</em></a>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/21/broken-steel-dlc-makes-fallout-3-endless-on-may-5/">Broken Steel</a>, </em>due out for Xbox 360 tomorrow, May 5. We strongly suggest that you don't play the video if you haven't finished the game, since, well, it spoils <em>something big</em> (and metal). If you've finished the game (or just don't care), by all means, play away.<br /><br />The trailer provides a quick glimpse of how the add-on will continue on from an ending that was designed to be <em>the end</em> along with plenty of Brotherhood vs. Enclave laser-blastin' action. Oh, and that <em>something big </em>being generally awesome. In fact, just watching the footage will make the next 12 hours or so before it goes live (on Live) that much harder. We'll just pass the time thinking about what it'll be like to hear the level-up drum roll once again and dreaming of new, sure-to-be-fancy perks.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/04/fallout-3-broken-steel-trailer-not-for-the-spoiler-shy/">Fallout 3: Broken Steel trailer contains big, steel spoiler</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 04 May 2009 14:30:00 EST. When the third DLC scenario for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fallout-3"><em>Fallout 3</em></a>, "Broken Steel," hits Xbox 360 and PC in March, it will replace the game's current ending, which doesn't allow players to keep on exploring the Capitol Wasteland post "end-game." This is something we've <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/25/three-content-packs-coming-to-fallout-3-beginning-in-january/">known since last November</a>; what we didn't realize is that PS3 players -- already <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/fallout-3-to-feature-exclusive-dlc-on-xbox-360-games-for-window/">missing out on any DLC action</a> -- will continue to be stuck with the current "brick wall" ending.<br /><br />When asked by <a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/01/23/no-ending-update-ps3-fallout/">MTV Multiplayer</a> if there were plans to patch the PS3 version of <em>Fallout 3 </em>for end-game play, Todd Howard, the game's executive producer, responded, "Not at this time, no." Howard <a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/01/26/bethesda-on-fallout3-criticisms/">has also remarked</a> that Bethesda "really underestimated how many people would want to keep playing [past the ending]," and that <em>Fallout 3 </em>was "probably the last time we'll do something like that."<br /><br /><a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/01/23/no-ending-update-ps3-fallout/">Source</a> - Bethesda Won't Commit To PS3 Fallout 3 Getting Ability To Play Post-Ending [MTV Multiplayer]<br /><a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/01/26/bethesda-on-fallout3-criticisms/">Source</a> - Bethesda Reacts To Three Major Fallout 3 Criticisms [MTV Multiplayer]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/bethesda-no-plans-to-patch-fallout-3s-ps3-ending-for-end-game/">Bethesda: No plans to patch Fallout 3's PS3 ending for end-game play</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Jan 2009 19:56:00 EST.
