Now, we would never condone any kind of thing that endangers animals. We aren't PETA or anything, but we have a respect for our friends in the animal kingdom. With that said, we present Super Cock Fight Brawl, a parody on this week's obsession in the Nintendo world. This video is just so ... weird. We're equal parts fascinated and confused by the video above. We know it was made for teh lulz and everything, but we're more focused on the individual that made it. We'd just like to ask them why?

Aside from all of the blogging we do here at Wii Fanboy, our lives are pretty much a vacuum, as we lack any real kind of incentive to keep breathing other than how hard our overlords at Joystiq will beat us if our post count drops. It's just the way life is.

But, we do have a lot of LEGOs. And it's scientific fact that anything combined with LEGOs is pretty much the most awesome thing ever. In fact, we have so many LEGO pieces, we're certain we could do our own version of classic NES games with them. Just like in this video.

Sure, we could have shown some other E3-centric videos here in our weekly spotlight, but we really wanted an excuse to talk a little more about the fun potential of MySims, which continues to bear a strong (though less anthropomorphic) resemblance to Animal Crossing. We even saw a little guy with a shovel in this trailer. Since there has been no real sign of Animal Crossing for the Wii, this looks ripe to tide us over while we wait. Who knows, we may even (gasp!) like it better.

Also, splashing in a fountain sounds pretty good right about now. Oh, July, July ... how you make us long for December.

Screenshot offerings were slim on the Revenant Wings front when it came to E3 media, but this trailer makes up for it, despite the lower quality. Obviously, we're Final Fantasy fans -- could you tell from the flood of FF-themed posts that occasionally inundates the site? -- but this game, along with Ring of Fates, is looking pretty good, even when we try not to be biased.

We'll admit it: the video in this week's spotlight is a bit of a stretch, but bear with us and we think you'll agree that it's simply perfect. With this week's controversy over Manhunt 2, our colleagues over at GayGamer decided to delve into the history of controversial games, and they've dubbed this Night Trap week. Night Trap was an FMV-based game starring Dana Plato that is infamous for its overacting and horrible scenes. No, wait ... that's just our opinion now. At the time, Night Trap was considered sexist, ultra-violent, and downright shameful. My, how far we've come. Night Trap seems far less horrific than the slasher films we grew up watching, and these days, this sort of "violence" would be considered laughable in games. While this brief teaser gives us no real idea of how the finished game will look, it's still nice to see something from Mushroom Men. We can't wait to undertake massive backyard fungi battles. It's like all the mushrooms Mario's eaten over the years are back, and they're pissed off.

Normally we don't feature Playstation 2 games on Wii Fanboy (unless they're ported to the Wii, am I rite) but this week's video is all about someone we're all familiar with, looking somewhat less familiar. We're happy to feature games from other consoles when they're so reverent of our icons.

Garakuta Studio's Graffiti Kingdom allows players to make their own 3D characters for use in a platforming adventure. Someone went to the trouble of making a Mario that is almost dead-on. We say "almost" because the movements are slightly weird, but for something made in-game this is quite an achievement. It's good enough for a Graffiti Kingdom character, right? Check out the video of "Mario" doing some adventuring and some basically 3D Mario moves after the break.

And while we're talking about Graffiti Kingdom, we can't help but link to these fanmade versions of the King of All Cosmos and a weirdly accurate Razor Ramon HG-- how disturbing, as the King would say.

It's no secret that we're fans of the kinda games that blend puzzles with ... non-puzzle stuff. The point is, we're all about putting a little action in the middle of our puzzles, so long as it doesn't slow down the act of puzzling. Pretty pictures, neat backgrounds, weird SRPG motifs ... we're okay with these elements. But we're not quite sure about Zendoku. While we're in favor of the idea, the execution leaves us a little, well, puzzled. In the short video after the jump, we get a chance to check out the mechanics in action, and it seems like everything just takes a long time -- and that takes away from our actual purpose in playing. Maybe it's just us, though. Give it a look and tell us what you think.

Do we need an excuse to put up videos from Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2? Well, it's Friday, and that means videos, which obviously means there's a need for Ouendan footage. Also, we really dig that title.

We don't do a lot of importing around here, but exceptions may have to be made in this case. Check after the jump to see why we're loving Ouendan almost as much as our favorite Ace Attorney.

It's been a while since we saw one of these crazy-silly Wii Sports videos, and it seemed like a good time to get back to what's great about the console. We may complain about the graphics on some of the games, or about whether or not there's a drought, but when it gets right down to it, Wii isn't about the graphics. It's not about putting 60+ hours into the story. Sure, those things have their place, but with the Wii, Nintendo is trying to get back to the roots of gaming -- and it's fun that made video gaming an international phenomenon. Fun is really all we need, and from the hyperventilating giggles in this video, the Wii definitely brings the fun.

A combination of sim and strategy plus online multiplayer means that you probably don't care much what Anno 1701 looks like, at least, if you're a strategy fan. It's playable? Great, say the devotees. That's all we need.

The rest of us, however, like a little video action, and we've got this PC-to-DS game on display after the jump. In Anno 1701, your mission is to civilize the wilds of North America; discover appropriate land, stick a flag in it, and build your civilization.

For added giggles, consider that this game is being released for the DS in the UK and Australia, and not in the U.S. (at least, for now). Sounds like a case of art imitating life to us. For all you Brits, this is your chance to get in there and show us colonists who's boss!

Finally, we can see one of the most important aspects of EA's Boogie: the dancing. Our Featured Friday Video for this week shows off the new rhythm title in motion, and the best description we can think of is "spastic, but in a good way." Also on display: the characters, called Boogs, who can be customized (another EA game that uses cutesy customizable avatars, but not Miis?), and who don't all look like Earl.

The factsheet for the game mentions minigames (wouldn't be a Wii game without 'em) and a music video mode that lets players save their performances with added voice and custom camera angles and effects. Unfortunately, you have to check the site for the video, since we can't embed the Vooks player. We do have screens, though, after the break.

Since Taiko Drum Master was announced this week for the DS, and we also happen to be a little fond of rhythm games, we thought we'd bring you another pair of videos dedicated to getting your drum on. The first makes us yearn for arcades, because there's nothing like huge drums or motorcycles and steering wheels to really get you in the game. We also want that guy's skill, because he really knows how to rock out. The video was originally posted to Chris Kohler's Game|Life blog, so you've probably seen it before, but we felt it was a good finisher for the week.

The second shows off a Taiko Drum Master mini-game featured in Nodame Cantabile, which was recently released in Japan.

In honor of our week of fanboy love, we thought we'd give you not one, but two videos. It's a double shot of wacky Nintendo commercial goodness ... and we hope the fact that they're not new doesn't put you off. After all, the top two DS games aren't exactly new, so we had to take a little trip back in time to grab these two commercials, but it was worth it. Light on the gameplay and heavy on the funny, these two ads make for a good end to the week.

Since this week featured a heavy dose of awesome in the way of an epic battle between Samus and Halo's Master Chief (sort of ...), we couldn't help but think about other possible matchups. Like ... Samus versus Solid Snake.* Where could we possibly see that?

Oh, right. We will see that -- when Super Smash Bros. Brawl hits. Until then, we'll have to settle for yet another SSBB video. You guys keep making 'em, and we'll keep showing them.

*Actually, that would be a pretty simple fight ... after all, it only takes a crab to punk Snake down.

This week's featured video may be a little spoileriffic if you're not rolling through Super Paper Mario yourself, but at least it's only early game footage -- creator Josh has tons of other video from the game if you are dying to see what you could be playing. Go Nintendo has posted a new commercial for the upcoming Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl games and we have to say it is one of the most epic game commercials we've seen in a while -- which makes it perfect for this week's video spotlight. It really gets us pumped for the new game and if you're a Pokemon fanatic, we imagine you're probably going to pass out after watching it and probably convulse on your floor for a few hours. Do us a favor: grab a popsicle stick or something else to bite down on. We don't want you to swallow your tongue after checking this out.

Apparently, the Wii remote is the new toy gun. It wasn't enough that you could use it to do ten million things (apart from playing Wii) -- now it's being wielded as an imaginary weapon. At this point, we're convinced that buying a Wii is the best investment you'll ever make, because there's nothing the controller cannot do.

Today's featured video is a little different from our usual fare. It's just two guys screwing around (and what is this, National Parody-24 Week?) and they happen to be using the Wii remote as a prop. We give it a week before someone gets wind of this video and uses it to springboard a campaign on the dangers of the Wii.

Another week means we shine the spotlight down onto another video. This week, it's the seventh (!) trailer for the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. In this latest trailer, we're shown:
  • several different environments
  • airship navigating the game world
  • lots of dialogue
  • a CG cutscene
  • spell casting and some light battle segments
Basically, the trailer presents the entire Final Fantasy experience. The trailer is playing on the main page (follow the "Read" link) and should you wish to brush up on any of the older trailers, head on into the site and check out the downloads section.

Ever since the announcement of Line Rider for the Wii and DS, we haven't heard much else on the title. As such, our eager fanboy minds turn to speculation, as we imagine how big the lines will be and how awesome the riding action will look. Since we're only left to imagine how this title is to be, we turn to the internet for more videos on the game.

The included mash-up of Line Rider and Super Mario Bros. past the post break does a good job of calming us down and putting a smile on our face.

One game, two very different videos -- that's what we're looking at in this week's video spotlight. Lunar Knights has had a great run of ads, and thanks to a Konami fan site's trailer contest, there are all new takes on the game. It's interesting to look at the impact music can have on a story. We've seen the footage in this trailer in other videos, but now the music is more dramatic, and it shapes a wholly different story. Lunar Knights has always come across as a little campy, but now those same images are painted with a more melancholy brush. We offer this (actual) trailer for comparison to the fan-made trailer after the jump.

Yeah, you've probably seen this one already, and that's okay. You don't have to watch it again if you don't want to (but we think it's pretty cool). But Nintendo's latest Wii ads are not only effective, but they reflect the Mii craze that is such a big part of the Wii's success. And since people are using Mii-like images on corporate websites now, Nintendo's boardroom ad is simply brilliant, and that's why it's in the spotlight this week. Check it out after the jump.
