The latest trailer for THQ's upcoming <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/ufc-undisputed-3"><em>UFC Undisputed 3</em></a> shows off quite a few of the game's new combat moves, and it doesn't pull any punches, so to speak -- by the time you finish watching it, you may feel sore just sitting there.<br />
<br />
In fact, with new submissions, some crazy leg kicks, and bone-crunching takedowns, we're a little worried about the well-being of these virtual UFC guys. Hope their health plans are all paid up! Check out some more violence (and a weird-looking Forrest Griffin) in the gallery below.<br />

We had just about forgotten about the Gamefly-supplied <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/16/wii-are-tumiki-fighters/">rumor of a Wii port</a> of <em><a href="http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/tf_e.html">Tumiki Fighters</a>,</em> and now we have confirmation from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Majesco/">Majesco</a>! They'll be releasing an upgraded port of Kenta Cho's freeware shooter, with the new title <em>Blast Works,</em> in the first quarter of next year-- in Europe. No US date has been announced.<br /><br />Not only will the game feature the same awesome mechanic the original had (grabbing parts from exploded enemies to upgrade your ship) but it'll include <em>weapon, propulsion, armor, ship, enemy, and level editors</em>. Grab the freeware version and give it a try, then join us in hoping for a US release-- it beats online petitions, at least.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/27/majesco-officially-announces-tumiki-fighters-as-blast-works/">Majesco officially announces Tumiki Fighters as Blast Works</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 27 Jun 2007 14:35:00 EST. The only evidence to suggest any link between Hori's Fighting Stick and the Wii, besides its white and blue colors, are the three buttons on the top right labeled with the remote's home, plus, and minus symbols. Uh, and the parts where it says "Wii."<br /><br />Though it isn't completely clear yet what purpose the top left switches serve, they're probably meant for turbo/slow/hold functions. Like Hori's fighting sticks for other consoles, this one employs the Japanese design favored by the hardcore -- convex buttons, ball top stick (Sanwa, likely), arced button placement, and what we assume to be a square gate. It might take some time for you to adjust to the layout if you're used to western setups. <br /><br />Play-Asia's $52.90 import price might sound expensive, but it's indicative of Hori's reputation as a manufacturer of relatively high-quality arcade sticks. Hopefully, the Wii will actually have some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fighting">fighting games</a> that are compatible with the stick by the time its November release in Japan comes around. Check past the post break for a larger image. </p><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/26/hori-brings-non-wacky-controller-to-the-wii/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hori brings non-wacky controller to the Wii</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/26/hori-brings-non-wacky-controller-to-the-wii/">Hori brings non-wacky controller to the Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 26 Jun 2007 11:30:00 EST. Unfortunately, they'll have to wait more than six weeks to get their hands on a repaired game.<br /><br />SNK president Ben Herman released a statement on SNK Playmore's <a href="http://www.snkplaymoreusa.com/mb/index.php">official message board</a> stating that they have ordered new cartridges from Nintendo, which will take six weeks to receive. At that point, SNK will issue instructions for getting your game switched out for a corrected one. Be patient! Don't return the game to the store yet, because the replacement copy will have the same issue.<br /><br />Anyone out there playing <em>Card Fighters DS? </em>We wonder how many people this issue affects. That's a nice way of saying we wonder how many people bought this game.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/12/snk-fixing-card-fighters-ds/">SNK fixing Card Fighters DS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 12 May 2007 14:00:00 EST. The game-breaking glitch happens when, after completing the game, you start a "New Game +" and attempt to talk to a fellow in the Card Tower named Card Battler John. The game freezes and further progress is hindered.<br /><br />Depending on your idea of finishing a game, this could make it impossible to play completely through<em> Card Fighters DS</em>. It definitely renders you unable to get all the cards, which, in a game called <em>Card Fighters </em>that contains both the place name "Card Tower" and the name "Card Battler John," is probably pretty important.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/01/snk-vs-capcom-glitch-fighters-ds/">SNK vs. Capcom Glitch Fighters DS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 May 2007 10:50:00 EST. At least until Hori gets around to releasing a wireless <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">joystick</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/25/gundam-0079-revealed-guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-announced/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Gundam 0079 revealed, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core announced</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/25/gundam-0079-revealed-guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-announced/">Gundam 0079 revealed, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core announced</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 25 Apr 2007 12:00:00 EST. They're gorgeously presented abstract shooters that either (like <em>Tumiki Fighters</em>) invent new gameplay mechanics or, like<em> <a href="http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/rr_e.html">rRootage</a>,</em> artfully (and openly) rip off mechanics from other shmups. We aren't sure we'd want to pay full price for them, since they're <a href="http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.html">free</a> right now, but we would consider paying budget price for sufficiently expanded versions.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/16/wii-are-tumiki-fighters/">Wii Are Tumiki Fighters?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Apr 2007 09:45:00 EST. Sega's technical fighter is a Sony exclusive once more.<br /><br />While home-console online play remains doubtful at this point, next-gen PlayStation owners can now securely look forward to facing off as El Blaze and Eileen (the new luchador and monkey kung-fu artist, respectively) along with the other 15 fighters, decked out in all sorts of items purchased in the in-game store with prize money earned through in-game matches.<br /><br /><em>VF5</em> will support up to 720p HD resolution and will be featured in game footage in the SEGA booth at E3 (South Hall, Booth #946) later this week.<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://www.maxps3.com/">Matt</a>; also via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/08/virtua-fighter-5-a-ps3-exclusive/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/08/virtua-fighter-5-only-for-ps3-next-spring/">Virtua Fighter 5 only for PS3 next spring</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 08 May 2006 19:56:00 EST.
