It's also difficult to tell whether this RAY model is the manned version created by the Marines, or the unmanned mass-produced model designed by the Patriots. Either way, we desperately want these things adorning our various fireplace mantels as soon as humanly possible. Check out high-resolution shots of all three statues in the gallery below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/">ReVenture Statue Prototypes</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992776"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/metalgearrayprototypefigure_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992777"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/portal2prototypefigures_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/29/threea-toys-unveils-prototype-portal-2-and-metal-gear-solid-2-st/">ThreeA Toys unveils prototype Portal 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2 statuettes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 29 Apr 2012 22:00:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left;">Yeah, we see you staring. And why wouldn't you? This <a href="http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?p=1357851#post1357851">Sideshow Collectibles statue</a> dubbed "Snow Day" is more than easy on the eyes. But this isn't some Saturday night good-time girl, man. This is Lara Croft we're talking about here. <em>Lady</em> Lara Croft. If you want to make her yours, you're going to need to pull out all the stops.<br />
<br />
In this case "all the stops" translates to $250. Now, we know that's a big commitment, but she's also not available yet, so you have a little time to decide if you're ready to take the plunge. We have a suspicion, though, that she's worth every penny.<br />

<div style="text-align: right;"><small>[<a href="http://hugohugo.deviantart.com/art/Brutal-Legend-Custom-Figure-149441496">hugohugo at deviantART</a>]</small></div>
deviantArt is usually the site you go to if you want to see uncomfortable, sexual doodles of anime characters and other such nonsense. Today, it's become the place to see the most badass Eddie Riggs homage known to man. In fact, we're pretty sure user hugohugo sold his soul to Satan for the ability to craft such <a href="http://hugohugo.deviantart.com/art/Brutal-Legend-Custom-Figure-149441496">a magnificent resemblance</a> of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/brutal-legend"><em>Br&uuml;tal Legend</em></a>'s protagonist.<br />
<br />
Compared to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/brutal-legends-eddie-riggs-figurine/2155423/full/">the official alternative</a>, we have to say we dig hugohugo's a bit more. It's got <em>character</em> and is entirely posable -- even the fingers move for <em>wicked</em> faux-solos!<br />

Today, the Capcom Blog decided to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/look-hard-bionic-commando-box-art/">reveal the box art</a> and a <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/snow_infernus/blog/2008/09/30/bionic_commando_prototype_figure">prototype figurine</a> for <em>Bionic Commando</em>. The thing about the figurine, though, is that the company has no idea when, where, how or <em>if</em> the general consumer will be able to get one.<br /><br />OK, we have no idea what the point of showing off the six-inch tall prototype is other than to gauge consumer interest. So, fine, we'll bite. It's kinda sexy. What say y'all? Would you pay $20 more if it came in one of those "limited edition" packages these companies are so fond of?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/capcom-shows-off-bionic-commando-prototype-figurine/">Capcom shows off Bionic Commando prototype figurine</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Sep 2008 23:30:00 EST. First 4 Figures has come back around full circle, after completing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/04/new-from-first-4-figures-sheik/">Sheik</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/05/first4figures-new-toys-feature-pre-attitude-sonic/">Sonic and his pals</a>, now they've got <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/19/zero-suit-samus-the-figurine/">yet another Samus</a> statue. This one, in our opinion, totally trumps all of their past efforts. Just <em>look at the thing</em>.<br /><br />Of course, the catch is that this <em>costs a bunch of money</em>. $224.99 in money, to be exact. For those of you with a winning lottery ticket, this goes on sale Q1 of next year.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/10/phazon-suit-samus-statue-is-ridiculously-nice/">Phazon Suit Samus statue is ridiculously nice</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jul 2008 20:00:00 EST. <br />First reason to be hyped about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/shiren-the-wanderer" style="font-style: italic;">Shiren the Wanderer: The Sleeping Princess in the Clockwork Palace's</a> release, even though no one has announced a U.S. localization yet -- <span style="font-style: italic;">Famitsu's</span> review score: 35/40 (9 / 9 / 8 / 9). Though many consider <span style="font-style: italic;">Famitsu</span> to be too forgiving with its reviews for highly advertised, big-budget games, the <span style="font-style: italic;">Shiren</span> series doesn't seem to fit that description. For such a niche game to receive a high score like this, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Chunsoft/">Chunsoft</a> must have done something right!<br /><br />Second reason -- See Asuka model pictured above (and past the break). We're not the type to leave figures of female anime characters posed around our rooms, giving women even more reason to run away from the mess we've made of our lives, but as we demonstrated with the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/shiren-the-wanderer">Koppa remote stand preorder bonus</a>, we have a weakness to <span style="font-style: italic;">Shiren</span> merchandise. <br /><br />As for our third reason, swing your sword to check for traps, and step past the break for a new <span style="font-style: italic;">Shiren 3</span> commercial. It features a collection of player deaths set to Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 -- what's not to like?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/28/three-things-to-get-you-excited-about-shiren-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Three things to get you excited about Shiren 3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/28/three-things-to-get-you-excited-about-shiren-3/">Three things to get you excited about Shiren 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 28 May 2008 14:00:00 EST. It would take something really special to outshine <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/18/oh-my-shark/">Mike Haggar</a>, but Poison does. Even though she was just one of the basic grunt enemies, her hypersexualized appearance and random flipping made her memorable among the countless Axls, Dugs, and Two.P's.<br /><br />Later, when we learned about Capcom's biographical information about the character, she became <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison_(Final_Fight)#History">even more memorable</a>. REFLECT's Masauzi Yoshizawa, a more <em>active</em> Poison fan, sculpted an amazing figurine of the character last year and made it available as a <a href="http://somewrinkles.blogspot.com/2006/08/what-are-garage-kits.html">garage kit</a>. Now it's being released as a preassembled, prepainted model more suitable for our useless hands, gnarled from years of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsLRfJQDJPQ&amp;feature=related">unending punch combos</a>. NCSX is selling this 1/6 scale figure for $68. OH, MY WALLET.<br /><br />Oh, and <em>of course</em> we couldn't use the word "Poison" in a post without embedding a certain something after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/17/that-girl-is-poison/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>That girl is Poison</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/17/that-girl-is-poison/">That girl is Poison</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 17 Dec 2007 23:46:00 EST. Let's face it: the Wii is the universal "awesome device." It's the kind of thing that has everyone falling in love with it once they try it, immediately inquiring as to where they can find their own and how much real life monies it will cost to procure it. It's a truly wonderful thing.<br /><br />Now, it would appear that making a cardboard robot and taking a couple of pictures of it holding a Wiimote wouldn't be that newsworthy. What's newsworthy about this particular piece of art is sculpted after the Revoltech Dunboard Figure and the boxes used to construct him are custom-made, as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/14/official-japanese-wii-box/">Japanese Wii box</a> (wow, remember when we thought we were getting different colors at launch?) very much resembles the one here for us in the United States.<br /><br />[Thanks, Frankie; via <a href="http://blog.gamersweb.it/post/687181">Hobby Blog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/12/even-cardboard-robots-like-wii/">Even cardboard robots like Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 12 Dec 2007 23:18:00 EST. Days, weeks and even months have passed and we still haven't heard about any replacment figures or pre-paid return boxes being shipped or arriving at gamers' doorsteps. So, being all reportor-like, we shot out an email and received a mini-update on the status of the replacement program.<br /><br />According to a 2K Games rep, the replacement program is still "go" and those who received a broken figurine will get a replacement soon enough. The hold up is due to the production of new, replacement figures as 2K wants to make sure they have the figures on hand before they move ahead with any other steps. We were told to keep an eye on <a href="http://www.2kgames.com/cultofrapture">The Cult of Rapture</a> website in the months ahead for more updates and to learn when the return boxes get shipped.<br /><br />In recap, the replacement Big Daddys are on their way, they're (still) being manufactured, 2K Games will update the community when boxes are being shipped and we all must be super patient. Though, being patient is hard when every day you see your Bubbles suffering with a broken drill bit.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/05/big-daddy-figurine-replacement-mini-update/">Big Daddy figurine replacement (mini) update</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 05 Nov 2007 14:15:00 EST. <div align="left">NECA, the company responsible for the awesome <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Castlevania/">Castlevania</a> </em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/21/castlevania-action-figures-belong-in-this-world/">figure prototypes</a>, has a new Simon Belmont figure on the way. It's a somewhat more faithful sculpture of Simon as he appeared in the first <em>Castlevania</em> on the NES. Unfortunately, only 1,000 units will be produced, and it will only be available at the <a href="http://www.comic-con.org/">San Diego Comic-Con</a>.<br /><br />We <em>totally</em> want this, and we are <em>all about</em> pixel art, but we must say that this figure, with its rounded edges and inexact paint job, looks a little more like a cookie to us than an action figure. Which actually gives us an idea!<br /><br /></div>

All kinds of figurines, posters and the like are readily available in just about any shop in the country (we didn't check on the validity of such a claim, but leave us with our delusions). For us in the U.S. and other regions, we must either pay the hefty price of importing or live a bland, boring existence where we can only <em>play</em> Nintendo games and not live them in every aspect of our life. Oh, what a cruel world!<br /><br />That is no more, though, as we're happy to announce Nintendo has teamed up with Corgi International Limited to provide us with a "<span class="ts">multi-category range of products" until 2010. The goodies we will be able to purchase are extended to "</span><span class="ts">Action Figures, Playset Environments, FX Electronic Products, Iconic Game Replicas, Multi Sized Plush, and Vinyl Figures." Personally, we can't wait until they make a life-sized Link pillow that we can hold tight while we sleep.<br /><br />What? Don't act like you wouldn't!<br /></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/19/nintendo-signs-international-merch-deal/">Nintendo signs international merch deal</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 19 Jun 2007 16:00:00 EST. NCSX is selling new playsets, each featuring an animal, two matching pieces of furniture, and a house. There are also two special sets containing characters like Wendell and Tom Nook, and, of course, some more furniture.<br /><br />NCSX is also stocking some <em>Animal Crossing</em> plush toys and coffee mugs. We are aware that <em>Animal Crossing</em> strongly promotes the collector mentality in-game, so we hope we haven't just emptied any fans' wallets by pointing this stuff out.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/15/more-animal-crossing-stuff-to-fill-your-house-with/">More Animal Crossing stuff to fill your house with</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 15 Apr 2007 12:00:00 EST. Standing at 12-inches tall, the figure is imbued with Medicom's RAH 301 technology, making Snake posable in a variety of realistic body stances. Art director Yoji Shinkawa oversaw production of the figure, which is scheduled to ship in November. We're gonna need to know when these go on sale, where they are, and how much milk money we need to shake down to score a few. These <em>Final Fantasy III </em>figures turned up on 4cr's news feed and they were just too cute to resist. <br /><br />And if you're paying attention, you might get to see some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/08/share-your-fandom-with-the-one-you-love/">Nintendo panties</a> in action. Ah, forum posters and their wacky avatars. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.4colorrebellion.com/">4cr</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/16/ffiii-figures-cute-enough-to-melt-any-heart/">FFIII figures cute enough to melt any heart</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Oct 2006 13:25:00 EST. Once your desk is littered with figures, we can only imagine that you'd perform a puppet show, doing voices for each character. Yes, that's what we <em>imagine</em>.<br /><br />Prices are about $100 for most figures to $200 for complicated jobs with lots of appendages or other extra work. Fabjectory creates an computer model of the avatar, then uses a 3D prototyping machine to produce the real-world figure.<br /><br />While unconfirmed, <em>Spore</em> may offer a way to order plastic versions of your creatures directly through the game. (As part of its <a href="http://adventure.joystiq.com/2006/07/26/our-one-of-a-kind-spore-figurine/">marketing</a>, EA has sent real-world versions of creatures reporters created.)<br /><br />We welcome these third- and first-party figures. We just know our <em>World of Warcraft</em>, <em>Second Life</em>, <em>Spore</em>, and <em>Everquest</em> characters will be friends.<br /><br />See also: <a href="http://adventure.joystiq.com/2006/07/26/our-one-of-a-kind-spore-figurine/">Our one of a kind Spore figurine</a><br />See also: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/11/spore-figurines-at-e3/">Spore figurines at E3</a><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/09/custom-second-life-figures/">Custom Second Life figures</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Oct 2006 19:55:00 EST.
