As it stands, the game is "getting NO TRACTION," Sutter <a href="https://twitter.com/sutterink/status/234325145974607872">tweeted</a> earlier today, and that it "looks like our big publisher blew us off." Sutter went on to say that the project was not a priority for FX, and that he doubts it will happen.<br /><br />After cautioning his followers that game development is an incredibly risky business, Sutter reiterated that he does not wish to "do a shitty browser game," giving <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/10/amc-the-walking-dead-social-game-seeking-brains-in-open-beta/"><em>AMC The Walking Dead Social Game</em></a> as an example of what <em>not</em> to do -- "sorry <a href="https://twitter.com/glenmazzara">@glenmazzara</a>, show's awesome, game sucks." He also said that it was his responsibility as a gamer to release a quality product, "not some 1/2 promotional piece of shit like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/game-of-thrones-rpg"><em>GOT</em></a>."<br /><br />Though he admittedly does not know what his options are at this time, Sutter did jokingly suggest a <em>Sons of Anarchy</em> edition of <em>Monopoly</em> as an alternative to a console title<em>.</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/11/sons-of-anarchy-game-is-getting-no-traction-says-sutter/">Sons of Anarchy game is getting 'no traction,' says Sutter</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 11 Aug 2012 16:30:00 EST. It was set to be "a high-end browser-based" title, but a recent tweet from Sutter says that's all changed. Instead, FX and Fox have agreed to "<a href="https://twitter.com/#!/sutterink/status/200254195381714945">do a REAL game</a>. Console based. Not some slapcrap browser [multiplayer] thing," according to Sutter. He admits it'll take a long time to put together, but since <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/sutterink/status/200253756191948800">the browser game "felt rushed and unsatisfying,"</a> he wants the property treated right.<br /><br />That's good news for <em>Sons of Anarchy</em> fans ready for a full console experience based on their show. As for us, as long as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clay_Morrow">Ron Perlman's Clay Morrow</a> is playable somehow, we're happy with whatever SAMCRO-based experience we can get.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/11/sons-of-anarchy-getting-a-real-console-title-rather-than-brow/">Sons of Anarchy getting a 'real' console title, rather than browser-based multiplayer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 May 2012 13:15:00 EST. Rockstar <a href="http://www.gamertagradio.com/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=3752">apparently</a> took its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/01/gta-iv-trailer-coming-on-march-29th/">online promotion</a> to late-night TV, featuring 30 minutes of the countdown to the ad to the game. YouTube user "nospacesinmyname" lets us all bow down to the clock.<br /><br />Alas, the clip only shows a few minutes of the entire 30-minute "commercial." We've watched it four times with the hope that some GTA IV magic will reveal itself, but nothing has differed. Maybe on the fifth try.<br /><br />Watch the TV clip after the break.<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://www.gamertagradio.com">Godfree</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/23/todays-most-relative-game-video-gta-clock/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Today's most relative game video: GTA clock</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/23/todays-most-relative-game-video-gta-clock/">Today's most relative game video: GTA clock</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 23 Mar 2007 00:00:00 EST. Well, beat them up (sometimes) and intimidate them verbally (a lot).<br /><br />Firing Squad has an <a href="http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=13580">interview</a> with game creators Kraig Horigan and Rob Sandberg up, and they talk about the ins and outs of turning <em>The Shield</em> into a game. Apparently the hardest part was in figuring out how to tone Mackey down so that the player has an alternative to applying brute force to every situation. But hey, that's what he does on the TV show, and that's also the version of the game we want to play.<br /><br />Sadly, this great FX TV show looks like it'll be getting the "let's turn this property into a crummy video game" treatment, based on the <a href="http://www.firingsquad.com/media/gallery_index.asp/1268">screenshots</a> alone. At least Kenny Johnson came in to do some voice recording. He may be off the show, but he'll live on in the game. Lemonhead, FTW!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/17/chiklis-gets-cheeky-in-the-shield-video-game/">Chiklis gets cheeky in The Shield video game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 17 Dec 2006 19:45:00 EST.
