Why fake-golf with a controller when you could fake-golf <em>as the controller</em>, right? Finally, Kinect comes to the series in <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13</em>.<br /><br />A series of vignettes shows off some of the Kinect features, from the obvious such as miming a golf swing, to the more impressive like using voice and hand gestures to set up shot approach. Another video after the break shows Tiger fiddling with Kinect in an earlier build of the game -- turns out being amazing at golf in real life doesn't necessarily guarantee success in-game, as you can see when Tiger slices a shot into a bunker right off the green.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-13-kinect-integration/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 (Kinect Integration)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-13-kinect-integration/#4792340"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/01222012-tw13-kinect-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-13-kinect-integration/#4792341"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/01222012-tw13-kinect-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-13-kinect-integration/#4792342"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/01222012-tw13-kinect-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-13-kinect-integration/#4792343"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/02/01222012-tw13-kinect-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/03/take-a-tour-of-tiger-woods-pga-tour-13s-kinect-functionality/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Take a tour of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13's Kinect functionality</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/03/take-a-tour-of-tiger-woods-pga-tour-13s-kinect-functionality/">Take a tour of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13's Kinect functionality</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Feb 2012 07:45:00 EST. It would be hard to overshadow this week's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/06/report-famitsu-leaks-circle-pad-attachment-monster-hunter-tri/">most prominent 3DS news</a>, and Nintendo doesn't even come close to it with today's digital releases. If you're on 3DS, you'll have access to the Game Boy version of <em>Golf -- </em>and, if you check out Nintendo Video, Blue Man Group will teach you how to Dougie. On Wii you'll find a couple of color-matching puzzlers, including a demo for this year's intriguing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/14/nintendoware-weekly-plants-vs-zombies-liight/"><em>Liight</em></a>.<br />
<br />
On DSiWare, Agetec brings us <em>DotMan</em>, a low-cost download that looks to us like a modern update of the old Atari game, <a href="http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareID=984"><em>Dodge'Em</em></a>. Maybe you were looking for something like that.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/08/nintendoware-weekly-golf-dotman/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: Golf, DotMan</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/08/nintendoware-weekly-golf-dotman/">NintendoWare Weekly: Golf, DotMan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 08 Sep 2011 09:50:00 EST. 	<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/tiger-woods-pga-tour-12-the-masters-playstation-move/"><img border="1" hspace="4" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/tigermoveps530pxdph.jpg" vspace="4" /></a></div>
The PS3 version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tiger-woods-pga-tour-12-the-masters"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters</em></a> supports the PlayStation Move, though the functionality is greatly improved <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/09/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11-to-support-playstation-motion-controller/">over last year</a>. EA has not only improved the sensitivity of the swing itself, but added in the first-person True-Aim system seen in last year's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/09/review-tiger-woods-pga-tour-11-wii/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 on the Wii</a>.<br />
<br />
Now, because <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/tiger-woods-12-review/">my review</a> focuses so much on the caddy (and because the PlayStation Move arrived very late from Sony), Move didn't make it in before deadline. However, that added time to mess around with the mechanic has proven to me that the PS3 version is far more sensitive to slight swing variations and wrist movement, which makes the learning curve a bit steeper.<br />
<br />
Still, after only an hour, my proficiency increased. And because the Move is so sensitive, it was a lot easier for me to gauge how much power I was putting into a swing compared to using an analog stick.<br />
<br />
Combined with the graphical fidelity of the PS3 version, I can say without a doubt that PlayStation Move makes <em>Tiger Woods</em> on the PS3 the preferred version.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/tiger-woods-pga-tour-12-the-masters-playstation-move/">Tiger Woods 12 features improved PlayStation Move functionality</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 29 Mar 2011 15:05:00 EST. Sitting here, staring at a screen of accomplishments in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tiger-woods-pga-tour-12"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters</em></a>, I can't help but think what a long, crazy journey it's been. I went from a nobody with barely a shot on the amateur tour to the highest level of the game, The Masters. I surprised a lot of people, including a few of my idols.<br />
<br />
Not that I was alone on this journey. The entire time, I had a secret weapon: the best caddy in the biz. I can't tell you his name, but he came into my life and changed it forever. He taught me things I never would have suspected about the game and we both developed our skills, together, spanning a career that would become the greatest the sport has ever seen.<br />
<br />
I'm still not sure he knows my name.<br />

EA announced today that it has signed Rhys Davies for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tiger-woods-pga-tour-12-the-masters">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters</a></em>. How awesome is that? The actor, who we've enjoyed as Gimli in the <em>Lord of the Rings</em>, along with memorable performances in <em>Sliders</em> and <em>Indiana Jones</em>, would likely be doing something like voiceovers for the game. <br />
<br />
Oh, wait, <em>wrong guy</em>. He'll actually serve as "brand ambassador " <em>He</em>, meaning Rhys Davies the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhys_Davies_(golfer)">golfer</a>, not John Rhys-Davies the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0722636/">actor</a>. That hyphen makes all the difference.<br />
<br />
"We're extremely excited to be partnering with Rhys Davies. He had an exceptional rookie year on the European Tour in 2010 and is sure to achieve even greater success in 2011," said Shaun White, senior PR manager at EA Sports. And here we thought <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/shaun-white-skateboarding">Shaun White was over at Ubisoft</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/18/and-my-club-rhys-davies-signed-for-pga-tour-12/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>'And my club!' Gusto Games' upcoming stab (swing?) at adapting the world's oldest sport into a much more palatable video game format, titled <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/john-dalys-prostroke-golf"><em>John Daly's ProStroke Golf</em></a>, has been given staggered release dates on its two designated platforms. The PS3 version of the title will arrive on October 5, and will ship with native support for the PlayStation Move. The Xbox 360 version will make its way to store shelves on October 19, and will not ship with native support for the PlayStation Move, because that would be ridiculous.<br />
<br />
If you 360 owners are worried about being surpassed in skill by your early-starting, PS3-playing counterparts, don't fret -- all you have to do is seek some <em>Stroking</em> council from the most august <em>Pro</em> we know: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGVnH39UzI8">Mr. Clarence Carter</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/27/john-dalys-prostroke-golf-tees-off-oct-5-on-ps3-oct-19-on-36/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>John Daly's ProStroke Golf tees off Oct. 5 on PS3, Oct. 19 on 360</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/27/john-dalys-prostroke-golf-tees-off-oct-5-on-ps3-oct-19-on-36/">John Daly's ProStroke Golf tees off Oct. 5 on PS3, Oct. 19 on 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Sep 2010 14:45:00 EST. I've played <em>a lot</em> of golf games over the years, from the arcadey <em>Hot Shots </em>series to my all-time favorite, <em>Links 2004</em><em>. </em>But I've never played anything quite like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em></a>. For someone new to the series on Wii, its MotionPlus controls aren't just a revelation -- they're the only way I want to play golf games from now on. <br />

Small-time publisher O-Games announced its take on the world's oldest sport, <em>John Daly's ProStroke Golf</em>, in May to little fanfare. However, <a href="http://www.mcvuk.com/news/39243/New-Move-golf-game-announced">MCVUK reports</a> that the title's developer, Gusto Games, recently made a decision which should garner a bit of attention: The PS3 version of the game will now be compatible with the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/playstation-move">PlayStation Move</a>.<br />
<br />
The game, which is due out October 1, will be demoed for the first time on the show floor at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/e3-2010">E3 2010</a>, where the titular professional golfer John Daly will be on-hand to show how one gets their virtual putt on -- a subject we probably don't need too much <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wii-sports">additional instruction</a> in, thanks. We'll try to get some time in with the game once we make our way to E3 in a couple short weeks.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/02/john-dalys-prostroke-golf-gets-move-support/">John Daly's ProStroke Golf gets Move support</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Jun 2010 18:00:00 EST. EA Sports' latest attempt to breathe new life into the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour</em></a> franchise's eleventh installment is an online multiplayer mode, previewed in the <a href="http://www.viddler.com/explore/Joystiq/videos/3009/">"Ryder Cup" trailer</a> posted above. Players will be able to align themselves into teams, and go head-to-head (to-head-to-head, and so on) in an attempt to dominate the lush, rolling greens.<br />
<br />
The only question that remains is what team you'll choose to enlist in. Will it be team Tiger Woods, who's repeatedly proven his prowess for hitting golf balls into faraway holes? Or will it be team Rory McIlroy, who is exactly one vowel away from being <em>totally awesome</em>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/18/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11-trailer-shows-off-online-team-play/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 trailer shows off online team play</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Mar 2010 14:00:00 EST. When <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em></a> was revealed to have <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/09/tiger-woods-pga-tour-11-to-support-playstation-motion-controller/">PlayStation Move support</a>, we wondered why EA would support every other motion-controlled peripheral (all two) and not Microsoft's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/project-natal">Project Natal</a>. So we hit up EA for an answer. As it turns out, EA just wasn't "in a position" to add Natal support to <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em> -- but the company doesn't rule out implementation in future installments of the franchise.<br />
<br />
"We are always evaluating new technologies and Natal would be a perfect fit for the <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour</em> franchise," an EA spokesperson told Joystiq, "however we are simply not in a position to do so with <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em>."<br />
<br />
There you have it: Natal is a "perfect fit," but <em>Tiger Woods 11</em> won't have that functionality. Our guess? The Natal dev kits haven't shipped and a post-release implementation patch would not be cost effective.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/11/ea-no-project-natal-support-for-tiger-woods-pga-tour-11/">EA: No Project Natal support for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Mar 2010 15:00:00 EST. Though we've already <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/12/10/ea-denies-forbes-claim-over-tiger-woods-split/">twice</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/05/moore-reiterates-ea-sports-commitment-to-tiger-woods/">confirmed</a> EA's steadfast dedication to Tiger Woods -- and, subsequently, sequels to his popular sports franchise -- EA Sports has gone ahead and <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/home/permalink/?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20100121005266&amp;newsLang=en">announced</a> <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em>. Coming in "June 2010" to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and iPhone, <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11</em> features the philandering golf star (as per usual) and others from the PGA Tour circuit. No screens or an official release date were given out, but ... umm ... you could always play <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/29/ea-reveals-tiger-woods-pga-tour-online/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online</a></em> for free right this minute! It's a browser-based version of the game you know and love! <br />

<div style="text-align: left;">Proving that there really are (really) games being made for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dsiware">DSiWare</a> without "Sudoku" in their title, Teyon has announced <em>101 MiniGolf World </em>for Nintendo's DSi download service. The game, which gets it name from the fact that it features six 18-hole courses, has yet to be dated -- but at least we can get a look at it.<br />
<br />
We became excited briefly when the announcement mentioned support for eight players ... until we parsed the next few words and realized Teyon means <em>by</em> <em>passing your DS around</em>. Still, the developer is promising "mind-blowing obstacles, loops, pipes, ramps" and so forth. It <em>would</em> be nice to have a new DSiWare title blow our minds rather than our DSi Points.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/19/101-minigolf-world-fills-a-hole-in-dsiware-lineup/">101 MiniGolf World fills a hole in DSiWare lineup</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 19 Nov 2009 15:50:00 EST. Supposedly leaked footage of Avatars playing golf has hit YouTube this week (find it after the break) and <a href="http://xboxevolved.e-mpire.com/article/No_Title/5654.html">some are wondering</a> if it's video of an upcoming golf title featuring the Xbox 360 characters. At <a href="http://e3.joystiq.com">E3 2009</a>, Microsoft revealed the casual racing title <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Joyride/">Joyride</a> -- a free, upcoming XBLA game featuring <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Avatars/">Avatars</a> -- so it isn't out of the question for Avatars to star in another casual game. <br /><br />The footage showcases Avatars enjoying a rousing game of golf, but still looks very early in development (if it even is). Perhaps it is an <em>actual</em> upcoming game, but it could also be some an Avatar update to the XBLA title <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/3D-Ultra-Minigolf/">3D Ultra Minigolf</a></em> or even some XNA-based genius. Time will tell on this rumor.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/25/rumor-xbox-avatar-golf-game/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Rumor: Xbox Avatar golf game</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/25/rumor-xbox-avatar-golf-game/">Rumor: Xbox Avatar golf game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 25 Jul 2009 14:30:00 EST. Fresh-faced late night host (and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/18/video-josh-jimmy-fallon-and-the-iphone-3-ga-speed/">Engadget superfriend</a>) Jimmy Fallon recently trounced golf superstar Tiger Woods in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/25/jimmy-fallon-takes-on-tiger-woods-this-thursday-night/">a Times Square showdown round</a> of <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em>. Just as aging classic rockers are incapable of grasping the musical mechanics of <em>Rock Band</em>, it seems Mr. Woods was unable to translate his real-life adroitness to the virtual greens -- Fallon bested him by "a large margin," <a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/06/25/tiger-woods-and-jimmy-fallon-do-battle-in-times-square/">according to MTV Multiplayer</a>.<br /><br />Try not to take it too hard, Woodsy. We're sure you could beat him at <em>Don't Laugh During Every Freaking Sketch During Your Six-Year Stint on Saturday Night Live 2010</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/25/jimmy-fallon-beats-tiger-woods-at-his-own-game/">Jimmy Fallon beats Tiger Woods at his own game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Jun 2009 23:00:00 EST. It's tough to follow <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/21/see-tiger-woods-actually-make-the-jesus-shot/">the Jesus Shot</a>, EA's viral video for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-09/"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09</em></a> and tongue-in-cheek reference to a glitch found in <em>Tiger Woods 08</em>. But, we must say, EA has managed to strike rich, comedic gold again, as the video after the break for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</a> </em>featuring Rocco Mediate is pretty damn hilarious. Like, grandpa-with-an-open-fly hilarious.<br /><br />Oh, and some of you may notice something at the end of the clip, to the tune of EA awarding someone with $50,000 for their own viral video. Unless Sony announces another <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/hot-shots-golf"><em>Hot Shots Golf</em></a> game at the upcoming E3 press conference, PSP fans may want to pay attention to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pangya"><em>Pangya</em></a>, a Korean-developed golf game that's being translated for PSP release. The gameplay mechanics are similar to those found in Clap Hanz's games, but the cuteness level is cranked up to dangerous, heart-melting highs. This trailer showcases all the rather-standard features of the game, including 8 player multiplayer.<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/pangya-fantasy-golf-trailer-showcases-characters-multiplayer/">Pangya: Fantasy Golf trailer showcases characters, multiplayer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 01 Jun 2009 10:00:00 EST. When you just read the name of EA's newly-announced <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online</em>, you were probably hoping for the same thing we were: a massively multiplayer golf/RPG hybrid that rewards Magical Big Bertha drivers for completing timed raid instances.<br /><br />Sadly, it's a <a href="http://investor.ea.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=386575">golf game</a> that you'll be able to play through your web browser on courses such as Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and St. Andrews. There's no pricing announced yet for the fall release, but we know it will have a "multi-tiered subscription structure" and <a href="http://tigerwoodsonline.ea.com/">beta sign-ups are open now</a>.<br /><br />It sounds neat, but we can't help but be bummed we'll never get to putt grind for our epic golf cart.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/29/ea-reveals-tiger-woods-pga-tour-online/">EA reveals Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 29 May 2009 09:59:00 EST. New in-game footage found in the commercial reveals t<span style="font-style: italic;"></span>hat two of <span style="font-style: italic;">Resort's</span> new minigames will be retreads of things seen in previous titles -- table tennis was covered in <span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Play</span>, and golf, of course, appeared in the original <span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Sports</span>. <br /><br />Nintendo must be <span style="font-style: italic;">very </span>confident that MotionPlus improves these games significantly. We still don't know how many games will be included in <span style="font-style: italic;">Resort</span>, but if two of them are going to be <span style="font-style: italic;">encore presentations</span>, there had better be a <span style="font-style: italic;">lot</span> of games. We totally understand Nintendo wanting to take a second crack at table tennis, we must admit, because <span style="font-style: italic;">Wii Play</span>'s version is not where it's at.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=13194">N-Europe</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/18/wii-sports-resort-features-golf-and-table-tennis/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wii Sports Resort features ... golf and table tennis?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/18/wii-sports-resort-features-golf-and-table-tennis/">Wii Sports Resort features ... golf and table tennis?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 18 May 2009 13:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10/"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em></a> will be hitting all major consoles and handhelds, but the Wii MotionPlus really makes it stand out on Nintendo's flagship game unit. It offers a greater degree of club control than we've ever seen in a game, though don't expect it to make you a better golfer ... unless you can somehow graft a Wiimote onto your club. You can check out Tiger's WiiMotion Plus in action <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/13/joystiq-hands-on-tiger-woods-10-wii/">here</a>, and then head after the break to see new videos depicting the Live Tournament mode, as well as the new golfers and courses in the game.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/#2003363"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealawiiscreens38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/#2003362"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealawiiscreens70_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/#2003361"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealawiiscreens68_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/#2003360"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealawiiscreens55_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-wii/#2003358"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealawiiscreens41_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-the-video-tour-wii-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10: The video tour, Wii edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-the-video-tour-wii-edition/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10: The video tour, Wii edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 May 2009 19:00:00 EST. We took <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10/"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em></a> through the paces recently -- Wii MotionPlus included -- and encountered a fair bit of confidence from product manager Randy Chase, who said, "You know ... I just realized that this is going to put those really expensive digital golf swing analyzers out of business." Actually it's not quite that accurate, but it's getting there. Perhaps one day you can look forward to suckering golf wannabees out of thousands of dollars by charging them for "lessons" from Tiger Woods himself.<br /><br />Randy took a few swings with Tiger Woods <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10/">back in March</a>, and we're happy to echo his sentiments. It's very rewarding to switch over to the MotionPlus and watch your golfer avatar follow along pretty darn precisely with your swing. It not only makes the game feel more intuitive, but (amazingly) coaxes you off the couch. No slumped flailing here!<br /><br />Before you go on, let us point you to some additional media<br />

It's not like PSP is without a fantastic golf game. In fact, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/05/psp-fanboy-review-hot-shots-golf-open-tee-2/"><em>Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2</em></a> may have been so complete that fans may never need another golf game ever again.<br /><br /><em>Pangya</em> doesn't really change the way golf is played, but its super-cute graphics and adorable story mode should help it stand out. The story of <em>Fantasy Golf</em> is rather trite, and its mere existence is an interesting oddity. Characters are shaped from the same cliche anime molds we're familiar with, but the stunning art really makes these characters come to life.<br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/08/joystiq-hands-on-pangya-fantasy-golf/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq hands-on: Pangya Fantasy Golf</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/08/joystiq-hands-on-pangya-fantasy-golf/">Joystiq hands-on: Pangya Fantasy Golf</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 08 May 2009 20:15:00 EST. In a surprise to only <em>dead people</em>, EA has announced a new installment in the <em>Tiger Woods</em> franchise, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em></a>. Releasing for <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/02/24/ea-sports-announces-madden-and-tiger-woods-for-psp/">every console</a> under the sun (sans the DS), <em>Tiger Woods 10</em> will not only be the first title in the series to feature the number 10, but also the first to include the U.S. Open, a USGA championship, and the USGA's Rules of Golf. EA isn't stopping there with the firsts, either, as the game will also include real-time weather, allowing the game's weather to match "that of the current weather conditions." Does that mean we won't be able to play during a lightning storm?<br /><br />This year's <em>Tiger Woods</em> will also feature a "broadcast style presentation," which EA reveals includes "Instantaneous updates" from new commenting duo Scott Van Pelt and Kelly Tilghman, from ESPN and The Golf Channel, respectively. Oh, and in case you had forgotten, <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2009/02/27/ea-not-waiting-on-nintendo-will-release-motionplus-compat-games/">the Wii version will use MotionPlus</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/12/fore-ea-formally-announces-tiger-woods-pga-tour-10/">EA formally announces Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 12 Mar 2009 14:42:00 EST. A recent dispatch from Electronic Arts promoting its EA Sports Season Opener event teased us with the promise of new information regarding its major athletic franchises -- though the nature of these new pieces of intel were absent from the message. <a href="http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/955/955151p1.html">One phrase did catch our eye</a>, however -- while listing off the games which will be showcased at the event, EA mentioned <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 </em>will be "featuring <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=Wii%20MotionPlus">Wii MotionPlus</a>." We can't wait to see the implications this will have on gameplay -- hopefully, when we fling our club into the crowd of jeering onlookers after our fourth consecutive double bogey, it'll travel on a <em>startlingly</em> realistic trajectory.<br /><br />We'll also get our first look at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/20/ea-looking-to-start-up-tennis-franchise-on-wii/">EA Sports' yet-to-be-named, MotionPlus-infused tennis title</a> at the event -- hopefully, we'll get a chance to chuck a few rackets in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McEnroe">a similar, McEnroe-esque fashion</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/19/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-getting-motionplus-support/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 getting MotionPlus support</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 19 Feb 2009 13:00:00 EST. <br />Yours truly has hazy memories of spending an entire summer holiday glued to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/10/its-a-mario-world-golf-career/"><em>Mario Golf</em></a>, unlocking Metal Mario, and jumping on the bed after fluking a hole-in-one (shamefully, I was nineteen at the time). And now, it's the fifteenth N64 game to appear on the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/friday">PAL Virtual Console</a>. Hell yeah! It might suffer heavily from the N64 fuzz, but for our money it's still the best in its respective series. It's accompanied this week by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wonder-boy"><em>Wonder Boy in Monster Land</em></a>.<br />

<p>With our shelves and Wii fridges creaking under the weight of new games from the holidays, Nintendo has generously given PAL gamers a week to catch their breath -- at least, we <em>think</em> that's the idea. Both WiiWare titles this week probably only appeal to a handful of people. The fifth and final episode of <em>Strong Bad Episode 5</em> is great, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/wii-fanboy-review-8-bit-is-enough/">obviously</a>, but only if you're in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/11/wii-warm-up-did-strong-bad-win-you-over/">teensy minority</a> who grabbed the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/review-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people/">first four instalments</a>.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, <em>Fun! Fun! Minigolf</em> is allegedly <em>so fun</em> that maker Shin'en felt the need to tell us of its <em>fun-ness</em> twice over. But is a zany-looking chibi minigolf game really the title to stop us from getting our fingers <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/14/wii-fanboy-review-world-of-goo/">gooey</a>? Hint: no.</p>

Tsk tsk, EA. It seems you've done a very naughty thing. <br /><br />Apparently, over in the UK, EA has been advertising <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-09">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09</a> </em>in a very shady manner. They've been using the Xbox 360 version of the game in the ads, claiming it's gameplay from the Wii version of the game. Luckily, the UK's Advertising Standards Authority caught them. <br /><br />What could ever make EA do such a thing? Apparently, the images from the Wii version of the game weren't "broadcast quality." Sure thing, EA. Sure thing.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/17/ea-uses-xbox-360-graphics-to-sell-wii-game-gets-caught/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/17/ea-uses-xbox-graphics-to-sell-wii-game/">EA uses Xbox 360 graphics to sell Wii game in the UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 17 Dec 2008 14:32:00 EST. Though common golfing etiquette dictates that respectful silence should often be observed whilst "hitting the greens", <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/11/14/hot-shots-golf-out-of-bounds-now-with-voice-chat/">Clap Hanz has included voice chat functionality</a> in the latest patch for <em>Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds</em> -- a missing feature which many reviewers were none too happy about. While many of you will likely see this as a chance to jeer your opponents with finely honed "smack talk", we urge you to respect the cordial nature of the game. Perhaps your newly afforded vocality could be used for <em>good</em> -- by commending a fellow player on a nice shot, warning players ahead of an incoming ball with a resounding "Fore!", or by sharing the story of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkLH56VlKT0">when you caddied for the Dalai Lama</a>. Data Design Interactive, the folks responsible for such titles as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/01/uk-public-hungry-for-cookie-games/"><em>Ninjabread Man</em></a> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/target-terror-anubis-ii-prices-slashed-to-reflect-quality/">Anubis II</a></em>, decided they needed to make a gesture in honor of the election, and what better to do than use their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/11/wii-warm-up-duyu-nuyu/">NotMiis</a> to represent a golftastic throwdown between President-Elect Barack Obama and his former opponent, John McCain? Now with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/03/carnival-games-only-for-vanilla-faces/">a few more options</a>, too, from the look of the shots.<br /><br />Gamers are pretty split on the first title. Many think it's horrible beyond belief, and others defend it as a fun game for multiplayer get-togethers. The real judge, however, is the fact that it sold tons and tons, more than many other Wii titles! Think the sequel will live up to that?<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/14/carnival-games-goes-golfing/">Carnival Games goes golfing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 14 Sep 2008 15:00:00 EST. <ul>
    <li><em>Mega Man</em> (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): With the Blue Bomber set to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mega-man-9">don pixelated pajamas next month</a>, his freshman adventure marks this week's most noteworthy addition to the Wii's window into the past. Assuming you haven't bought the original <em>Mega Man</em> in one of Capcom's many other compilations, Guts Man and company are waiting ever so patiently for you to drop by. </li>
    <li><em>Neo Turf Masters</em> (Neo Geo, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points): This is 133 megs of hot golf action right here, straight from 1996 to your living room. You don't have even to admit to your friends that you like video game golf. We'll keep your dirty little secret.</li>

This week's most notable release is surely Camelot's latest and greatest golf game, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/07/camelot-talks-about-why-we-should-love-we-love-golf/"><em>We Love Golf</em></a>. We've been covering the title for quite some time and are glad to see it finally release. Will it offer up a better experience than other competition on the console, such as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/09/super-swing-golf-season-2-trailer-is-completely-ridiculous/"><em>Super</em><em><em> Swing Golf 2</em></em></a><em> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/tiger-woods-ponies-up-some-videos-for-pga-tour-09/"><em>Tiger Woods 09</em></a>? The first gameplay footage of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/16/dont-go-mental-at-the-sight-of-crazy-mini-golf/"><em>Crazy Mini Golf</em></a> is in, and it isn't nearly as crazy as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/data-design-interactive/">Data Design</a> would have us believe. Sure, there's a few loops and tunnels here and there, but where's the emotion? The random strangers running back and forth with arms flailing wildly? Straitjacket as far as the eye can see? Yes, we're afraid <em>Crazy Mini Golf</em> is <em>less</em> crazy than your local Scientology clinic.<br /><br />The level shown above is situated inside a volcano, which is somewhat badass. However, first impressions are not all that great. We were hoping for a smooth, fun <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mini-golf/">mini-golf</a> experience, but the video shows rather awkward controls, a jerky camera and unimpressive ball physics. It seems like the worst possible footage to show with the first trailer, because if a mini-golf game doesn't look like much fun at the outset then there's a serious problem. We'll wait and see -- ultimate judgement shall be reserved until we're whacking the little balls into the clutches of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/xenu_993829_0494_.jpg">Lord Xenu</a> himself.<br /><br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/11/crazy-mini-golf-is-deadly-serious/">Crazy Mini Golf is deadly serious</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Jul 2008 15:30:00 EST. The graphics aren't as vivid, Manuke the tanuki (Rocky the raccoon) isn't playable, and the levels are more sparse, but it's still a top-down game about a shrine maiden shooting ghosts. And it's on the Japanese Virtual Console as of today.<br /><br /><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chack%27n_Pop"><em>Chack 'n Pop</em></a> is a pre-<em>Bubble Bobble</em> game that looks, but doesn't <em>play</em>, like <em>Bubble Bobble.</em> Instead, as a chick ... thing ... you climb walls and ceilings and blow stuff up with grenades. <br /><br />Rounding out the week's Japanese releases is <em>Big Tournament Golf</em>, a Neo Geo golf game by <em>Metal Slug</em> developers (and IREM expatriates) Nazca.<br />

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/03/capcom-loves-putting-out-we-love-golf-trailers/"><em>We Love Golf</em></a> isn't the first golf title that Camelot has worked on. After pioneering the <em>Hot Shots!</em> franchise, they then worked on the <em>Mario Golf</em> games. Now, we're all awaiting the release of <em>We Love Golf</em>, which <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/16/north-america-gets-exclusive-love-in-we-love-golf/">hits retail shelves</a> in North America next week. <br /><br />Siliconera recently got the chance to talk with Camelot's founding brothers, Hiroyuki and Shugo Takahashi, about the upcoming game. The two talk about many things, from the importance of motion-based controls, to how development on previous titles have aided them in creating wha they think is a very solid product. We don't know about you, but we're pretty pumped for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/01/we-love-screens/"><em>We Love Golf</em></a>.<br /><br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/07/camelot-talks-about-why-we-should-love-we-love-golf/">Camelot talks about why we should love We Love Golf</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 07 Jul 2008 22:00:00 EST. If there's anything you can <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/golf/">hit with a stick</a>, someone will make a game out of it. Some will even <em>customize</em> it. On a completely unrelated topic to customization, a new golf game has been announced, called <em>CustomPlay Golf</em>. What? Since the Wii works pretty well for golf, <a href="http://www.customplaygames.com/">CustomPlay Games</a> will release the latest installment of their series on Nintendo turf, along with the usual PC version. <br /><br />It's shaping up to be a pretty comprehensive golf title, with fifteen complete 18 hole courses (270 holes), along with Crazy Golf and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/16/dont-go-mental-at-the-sight-of-crazy-mini-golf/">Mini-Golf </a>modes. Let's see ... Pitch and Putt, Driving Range, Matchplay, Strokeplay, Stableford ... the list of content goes on. The release appears to detail PC content -- namely, online play for up to seven players -- but hopefully it'll all be included with the Wii version.<br /><br />CustomPlay are good at what they do, and what they do is create golf simulations. The above screenshot is for the PC version, but we're hoping the Wii won't fall too far behind in the graphics department. This should actually be a serious title to watch when it's released in Q1 2009, so don't let <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/tiger-woods-ponies-up-some-videos-for-pga-tour-09/">Tiger</a> be your only outlet of fairway fun.<br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/01/customplay-golf-is-customarily-customized-for-its-customers/">CustomPlay Golf is customarily customized for its customers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 Jul 2008 16:15:00 EST. Training games are <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/another-week-in-japan">big in Japan</a>. Hence, somebody at <a href="http://www.gunghoworks.jp/">GungHo Works</a> finally did the math and worked out that a <span style="font-style: italic;">golf </span><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/training" style="font-style: italic;">training</a> <span style="font-style: italic;">game</span> would be <em>huge</em> in Japan. This is the result: <em>Golf Cut 100 DS</em>, a training title focused entirely on improving your ability to accurately hit tiny balls with long sticks, and teaching you the difference between plus fours and putters in the process.<br /><br />Developed in conjunction with monthly golf magazine <span style="font-style: italic;">Golf Digest</span> and out this October, <span style="font-style: italic;">Golf Cut 100</span> offers quizzes, lessons on course etiquette, and advice on 100 golfing techniques. Given some of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/01/ds-helps-you-get-your-parenting-on/">other</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/13/more-namco-classics-thrown-on-the-video-game-exams-pile/">stuff</a> Japan has already been trained in, a golf trainer seems pretty normal to us at this stage. Drive your golf cart past the break for more shots.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/26/golf-training-tees-off-in-japan-this-october/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Golf training tees off in Japan this October</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/26/golf-training-tees-off-in-japan-this-october/">Golf training tees off in Japan this October</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Jun 2008 14:45:00 EST. If you're sick of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/19/wii-sports-golf-hilarious/"><em>Wii Sports</em> golf</a> (which you shouldn't be), then perhaps the greatest golfer of all time can tear you away from those charismatic Miis. <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09</em> has dug up some new gameplay videos from the rough, and the on-screen indicators give examples of the Wiimote in action. It looks good so far, and we're gunning for an improvement over the <em><a href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/tigerwoodspgatour08?q=tiger%20woods">already pretty good</a></em> gameplay of its predecessors.<br /><br />The two videos found after the break run Tiger through some basic holes, and show off the rather impressive graphics quite well. The trailer above, however, features some of the zany mini-games found within <em>Golf Party</em>, where the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/20/spore-creature-creator-spawns-wiimote-and-nunchuk/">Wiimote</a> is put to unique use in a bunch of different games for up to four players. <em>Golf Party</em> looks pretty gosh darn fun, and it's a welcome addition to the otherwise slow pace of the professional golf circuit.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/tiger-woods-ponies-up-some-videos-for-pga-tour-09/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tiger Woods ponies up some videos for PGA Tour 09</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/tiger-woods-ponies-up-some-videos-for-pga-tour-09/">Tiger Woods ponies up some videos for PGA Tour 09</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Jun 2008 12:30:00 EST.
