We love it when the service hooks us up with imports because they're so fresh and new. We like that. Too bad one of this week's games isn't very good. Which one is it? Hit up the video above to find out. And if you're looking for more, head past the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/20/vc-monday-madness-digital-champ-battle-boxing-and-gradius-ii-go/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VC Monday Madness: Digital Champ Battle Boxing and Gradius II Gofer No Yabou</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/20/vc-monday-madness-digital-champ-battle-boxing-and-gradius-ii-go/">VC Monday Madness: Digital Champ Battle Boxing and Gradius II Gofer No Yabou</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Oct 2008 18:18:00 EST. Along with the announcement, the info pages for both <a href="http://vc-pce.com/usa/e/title/gradius2.html"><em>Gradius II</em></a> and <a href="http://vc-pce.com/usa/e/title/digitalchamp.html"><em>Digital Champ</em></a> are available. This is the <a href="http:// http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/05/hudson-firing-cho-aniki-final-soldier-at-wii-shop-next-week/">second</a> set of imports in a row for Hudson, as well as the second set of imports to be released as a pair.<br /><br />Keeping in mind the obligatory disclaimer that Nintendo may decide at any moment to apply their veto power and just put up <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/29/vc-friday-convergence/"><em>MaBoShi</em></a> or something, we're tentatively excited. We aren't sure if this is a <em>good</em> time or a bad time to put out a boxing game, though.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/03/gradius-ii-digital-champ-on-vc-this-monday/">Gradius II, Digital Champ on VC this Monday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Oct 2008 10:55:00 EST. The first, and most obvious, reason is that it's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gradius_II"><em>Gradius II: GOFER no Yabou</em></a>, the PC Engine CD-ROM port of a <em>Gradius </em>game that has never been available in the US (except on the PSP). Sure, the VC is saturated with shmups, but not nearly enough of them are <em>Gradius.</em><br /><br />The second, more speculative reason we're excited is that <em>this is an import PC Engine CD-ROM game from Konami.</em> The game we want more than any other on the Virtual Console is <em>also</em> a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/22/vc-tuesday-dracula-x-rondo-of-blood/">Konami game</a>, and also on that system. <br /><br />Hudson is also releasing the import <em>Digital Champ Battle Boxing</em> in October. It's ... <a href="http://www.vc-reviews.com/games/tg16/digital_champ_battle_boxing">not very good</a>!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/29/import-gradius-ii-coming-to-us-virtual-console-in-october/">Import Gradius II coming to US Virtual Console in October</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 29 Sep 2008 13:38:00 EST. This first game in the outrageous series starred the relatively normal Idaten and Benten (seen here), with future stars Adon and Samson as beefy support characters.<br /><br />Under most conditions, we'd be freaking out about <em>Star Parodier</em>, which is a <em>Parodius-</em>like "funny" version of the <em>Star Soldier </em>games. But <em><a href="http://vc-pce.com/jpn/j/title/sp_aniki.html">Cho Aniki</a>!</em> Outside of Japan! It's like a beautiful dream. We're buying Wii Points <em>right now.</em><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://aussie-nintendo.com/?v=news&amp;p=25175">Aussie-Nintendo</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/06/australia-wins-at-virtual-console/">Australia wins at Virtual Console</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 06 Apr 2008 18:00:00 EST.
