Starting at 7am Eastern every day from this Friday through Monday, a different game will be free for 24 hours. The first free game will be Zombies. on Friday, followed by Ninja Blade on Saturday, Unstoppable Gorg on Sunday and Superstars V8 Next Challenge on Monday. All told, the offer is worth about 40 bucks.

As you might expect, there is a catch - albeit a free catch. The first part is obvious: You'll need a Green Man Gaming account. You'll also have to sign up for Playfire, a service that tracks the games you play across multiple platforms (similar to Raptr). Finally, you'll have to link your GMG and Playfire accounts.

Once that's done, you'll be able to nab each game for free as they become available over the weekend.

It's not often that we get to talk about games coming out early, even a few hours worth, but Kickstarter success story Strike Suit Zero is all about breaking our carefully constructed boundaries. Originally slated to hit on January 24, Strike Suit Zero comes to Steam, Green Man Gaming and GamersGate today, January 23, for a standard price of $20 (£14.99). It's 20 percent off on Steam, for $16, today through January 30.

Developer Born Ready Games is working on Mac and Linux versions of Strike Suit Zero and it will support the Oculus Rift VR headset, all due out later this year. Born Ready raised $174,804 on Kickstarter back in November, almost doubling its goal of $100,000. The people have spoken, and they want epic, futuristic, end-of-the-world space wars. And now they can have it.

If you like challenging shoot-em-ups, giant steampunk bosses, and Hungarian voice-overs, then you'll be pleased to hear Sine Mora is out today on PC. The game is currently raining bullet hell on Steam and Green Man Gaming at 10 percent off ($8.99).

The unusual collaboration between Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality shot onto Xbox Live earlier this year. Lucky for us then that GamesIndustry.biz got a couple of execs from the company to break down how it all functions in a recent interview. Allegedly, the folks at GMG have figured out an algorithm for calculating a game's worth at any given time based on a handful of (unnamed) criteria.

"We sit in the middle as a market maker and we always offer a price on the game ... we always allow people to sell it back to us," says CEO Paul Sulyok. As previously announced, the company will offer a percentage of revenue from each re-sold game to publishers -- something the company expects to get prospective partners signed up with the quickness. Suylok even puts a percentage to it, estimating that publishers will see a "194 percent" jump in "additional revenue per SKU" (in Humanspeak, that means for each individual game). Us? We're just happy to finally get some money back for that drunken purchase of Daikatana.

According to a press release from earlier today, the company will accept digital trade-ins of used "digitally purchased and downloaded games," though nothing explicit is spelled out in terms of what exactly you'll get for your trade-in.

The company's COO (and ex-Play.com head) Gian Luzio claims in the release that publishers will receive "substantial remuneration" from Green Man Gaming (that means money, folks) and the site is planned for a "Q1 2010" launch -- it's said to open up with 400 games and grow to "over 2000" by the end of the year. We've contacted GMG for more info on how this whole thing will work and will update you when we know more.
