If that headline caught your attention, we'll assume you've been waiting for just such a deal before dedicating a chunk of your gaming budget to Sony's motion peripheral(s). GameStop is offering 50% off the Move Motion Controller, the Move Navigation Controller, the Move Charging Station, and the Move SharpShooter. That means you can snag the Move/Nav combo for under $50 with shipping, depending on your local tax!

The discount doesn't seem to apply to in-store pickups, and it's only good until October 2 or "while supplies last." Something tells us the latter will happen before the former, so get clicking. If games are more your thing, GameStop also has about a dozen Move titles on fire sale for $9.99.
PlayStation Move peripheral(s) knocked down 50% 'while supplies last' originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 13 Sep 2011 11:09:00 EST. Don't feel like a Sports Champion? Feel like a PlayStation Move Hero instead? Then, you'll want to go to Toys R Us to get your hands on the newest PlayStation Move bundle. For $99.99 (the same price as the current bundle), you'll get a PlayStation Eye camera, one PlayStation Move controller and a copy of the Ratchet/Sly/Jak mash-up game, PlayStation Move Heroes. The bundle does not include a navigation controller -- odd, considering the box says it will "enhance your gameplay."

Like the standalone game, this will be available on March 22nd.
PlayStation Move gets a more heroic, less sporty bundle originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 28 Jan 2011 17:40:00 EST. PlayStation Move Heroes is coming out on March 22nd and, unsurprisingly, comes with pre-order bonuses. A reservation at Amazon or GameStop will unlock a skin pack, which includes Pirate Sly, Freedom League Jak and Trillium Armor Ratchet (pictured above).

More surprising than the requisite pre-order bonus must be this tidbit from Cristian Cardona, the game's marketing manager: "There's actually a full story surrounding the game and why they're all together." Our guess? It's somehow all Captain Qwarks's fault.
PlayStation Move Heroes come to rescue March originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 14 Jan 2011 22:00:00 EST. Heroes on the Move was always a tentative title for Sony's motion controlled mash-up mini-game collection. Perhaps thinking the placeholder moniker was too clever, the Sony marketing team has unveiled a brand new title for the game: PlayStation Move Heroes. The alternate title was going to be That PlayStation Move Game with Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper, so at least the better title won out.

In addition to the new title, Sony also revealed details of the game's story. How do these heroes come together?

A mysterious alien duo has swept through the galaxy, fiendishly snatching entire chunks from the worlds of Ratchet, Jak and Sly to create a mysterious new planet in the galaxy. After being abducted to this new world, Ratchet, Clank, Jak, Daxter, Sly Cooper and Bentley are invited by their gracious alien hosts to compete in friendly, yet challenging competition to test their extraordinary skills ... but as our heroes discover, all is not as it seems. Our fearless heroes soon find themselves joined together in the ultimate battle to protect the galaxy -- and in a fight for their own survival.
PlayStation Move Heroes is set for release in Spring 2011.
Continue reading Heroes on the Move renamed: PlayStation Move Heroes

Heroes on the Move renamed: PlayStation Move Heroes originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 11 Oct 2010 17:50:00 EST. Details on Sony and Nihilistic's motion-sensitive meeting of the mascot minds, Heroes on the Move, have been scarce since the game was first announced at E3. Gamescom filled in some of the missing pieces: Players will be able to choose between Ratchet, Clank, Sly Cooper, Bentley, Jak and Daxter, who will then be able to engage in various challenges across each character's native environs, such as Metropolis, Paris and Haven City.

PlayStation.Blog revealed what some of these challenges might entail, such as "City of Fights," which sees Sly collecting orbs across Paris while fending off enemies from all three universes, or "Fistful of Crystals," which tasks Clank with blasting his way through Haven City in a light gun-esque fashion. Check out some new footage in the trailer posted just past the jump, and ponder what might happen should two Heroes from different universes come into physical contact with one another.
