We've never admitted to actually understanding anything about the game <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/holy-trademark-nis-badman-games-to-be-renamed/">once known</a> as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/holy-invasion-of-privacy/"><em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?</em></a> (though we do admit to enjoying it), and so it's probably no surprise that we don't understand <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/yuunama">the Twitter account associated with the game</a> either. Not only is it in Japanese, but it's supposed to be an in-character account created by the Lord of Destruction -- and we have <a href="http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http://twitter.com/yuunama&amp;prev=_t&amp;rurl=translate.google.com&amp;twu=1&amp;usg=ALkJrhgcDnA5IuAH8w3k9RWB7RaU4gSVrg">no idea what he's talking about</a> anyway.<br />
<br />
But we do recognize <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/27/psp2-ngp-next-generation-portable/">the letters "NGP,"</a> as <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/yuunama/status/33181123769016321">seen in this tweet</a>, and a later tweet says that the developers are working on a new game in the "soup shoot zone." Presumably, that means we'll see a <em>Badman</em> interation on the PSP's successor, coming soon. Then again, not only is this Twitter account unverified, but let's not forget this is Satan we're talking about. He's not exactly the type to be trusted anyway.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/09/badman-character-tweet-hints-at-possible-ngp-title/">'Badman' character tweet hints at possible NGP title</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Feb 2011 08:25:00 EST. NIS America originally released the PSP's evil overlord hideout design game under the hilariously unwieldy title <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman">"<em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This!?</em>"</a> Shortly before the release of the sequel, a trademark complaint forced NIS to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/holy-trademark-nis-badman-games-to-be-renamed/">change</a> the series title to "<em>What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?</em>"<br />
<br />
Now, a trailer released during Gamescom has revealed Sony Europe's plans to localize the third game, called <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/18/yuusha-no-kuse-ni-namaikida-3d-coming-to-japan-in-two-dimension/">Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 3D</a></em> in Japan, under yet another completely different title, the much pithier "<em>No Heroes Allowed</em>." This third game adds the ability to flood your dungeon with water in order to destroy any invading heroes, and also allows for competitive or cooperative multiplayer. Check out the trailer after the break, My Lord!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/third-badman-game-coming-to-europe-as-no-heroes-allowed/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Third 'Badman' game coming to Europe as 'No Heroes Allowed'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/third-badman-game-coming-to-europe-as-no-heroes-allowed/">Third 'Badman' game coming to Europe as 'No Heroes Allowed'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Aug 2010 19:00:00 EST. In addition to being the only Western game in the top ten, it's also the only PS3 game!<br />
<br />
The Media Create chart is heavy on new games this week. In addition to Battlefield, the third game in what <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/holy-trademark-nis-badman-games-to-be-renamed/">used to be</a> the <em>Badman</em> series debuted at #4, <em>Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2</em> on PSP entered the chart at #5, and NIS's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/23/the-weirdest-trailer-youll-see-today-absolute-hero-modding-pro/"><em>Absolute Hero Modding Project</em></a> gave the publisher a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/nippon-ichi-earnings-plummet-in-2009/">much-needed</a> source of income at #6. <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/rpg-maker">RPG Maker DS</a></em> is the other new title on the chart, at #8. We're guessing the trademark issue in question is with a certain comic book franchise owned by Warner Bros. -- Plastic Man, obviously.<br />
<br />
This week has not been kind to NIS. Just yesterday, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/nippon-ichi-earnings-plummet-in-2009/">the Japanese parent company reported</a> a 95 percent drop in profits, and now the American branch has to change the name of one of its franchises midstream. May 4 is the new release date for what is now called <em>What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2</em>.<br />
<br />
[Update: May is indeed a new release date for the game: it was originally slated for March.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/09/holy-trademark-nis-badman-games-to-be-renamed/">Holy trademark, NIS! Did you miss the first release of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/badman"><em>Holy Invasion of Privay, Badman!</em></a>? Don't worry if you did, because it appears NIS America is readying a spectacular bonus for the upcoming sequel. According to an <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0031AV9K6?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=prey0f&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0031AV9K6">Amazon.com listing</a>, the "complete original game [is] included for free." Yep, it's two games for the price of one, and who doesn't like a promo like that?<br />
<br />
It's unclear if this bonus will apply only to the UMD version of the game, or if the PSN version will also benefit. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/21/q-entertainment-music-licensing-other-issues-keeping-portable-lumines/">Considering</a> how <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/18/sorry-goers-littlebigplanet-psp-still-unavailable-for-psn-down/">often</a> PSP Go owners have been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/12/04/travelers-tales-founder-psp-go-will-die-if-downloads-dont-get/">screwed</a>, we wouldn't be surprised if the digital release arrived late with no discount and no prequel bonus.<br />

The historical preservationists at NIS America are attempting to save the increasingly endangered beast known as the "Universal Media Disc." You probably haven't heard of the format -- your parents most assuredly have. Though we currently live in an age of incorporeal digital software, the developer is attempting to re-release its eccentric dungeon dive, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/badman">Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?</a> </em>in a limited edition UMD format -- provided enough PSP owners show interest in owning a tangible copy of the game.<br /> <br /> If over <a href="http://rosenqueen.com/product.php?productid=16301&amp;cat=0&amp;page=1">1,000 supervillains-in-training pre-order the UMD</a> version of <em>Badman</em> by November 13, NIS will go through with actually producing them, shipping out to their respective buyers in mid-December. Seems like it'll be a tough putt -- but we're sure there's 1,000 fans of both obscure strategy games and tiny, plastic-armored discs tucked away in some pocket in the internet.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/17/nis-america-wants-to-bring-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-to/">NIS America wants to bring Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! to UMD</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 17 Oct 2009 23:00:00 EST. Amongst them was the sequel to <em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!</em>. The retro-themed anti-hero game comes equipped with 4 times more stages, 3.3 times more monsters and 2.3 times more heroes than the first game. The hilarious sort-of-localized trailer makes note that creatures at your disposal can also mutate through deformity, obesity and gigantism.<br /><br />Most likely, the <em>Badman</em> sequel will skip UMD and head straight to PSN release. Makes sense, considering the bite-sized nature of the game. But if for some reason you insist on having plastic packaging, go to the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/09/nis-re-releasing-psp-titles-plus-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-umd-poll/">PlayStation.Blog</a> to tell NIS that you really want a UMD version of the first game.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/03/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-2-time-to-tighten-up-security/">Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman 2! As we <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/09/08/nis-classics-hit-psn-in-october-price-cut-in-half/">reported</a> earlier this month, NIS America is making several of its previously UMD-only PSP games available for download from the US PlayStation Store late tonight / early tomorrow morning to coincide with the launch of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/psp-go">PSP Go</a>. <br /><br />For a period of one week, <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2006/02/10/blade-dancer-lineage-of-light-announced/"><em>Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light</em></a>, <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2007/11/06/psp-fanboy-review-disgaea-afternoon-of-darkness/"><em>Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness</em></a>, <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2007/09/01/psp-fanboy-review-dragoneers-aria/"><em>Dragoneer's Aria</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman"><em>Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman!</em></a>, <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/08/09/mana-khemia-promo-trailer-reveals-classic-jrpg-action/"><em>Mana Khemia: Student Alliance</em></a> and <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/11/24/prinny-is-it-okay-to-show-off-the-first-level-of-gameplay/"><em>Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?</em></a> will be available at 50% off their normal cost -- a welcome offer, given that many digital titles on the store are keeping <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/23/sony-to-maintain-pricing-parity-for-downloadable-psp-games/">pricing parity</a> with their retail UMD equivalents.<br /><br />NIS is also asking visitors to the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/09/nis-re-releasing-psp-titles-plus-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-umd-poll/">PlayStation Blog</a> whether they want to see a UMD release of <em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!</em> by means of a poll that currently has the "ayes" and "nays" running nearly neck-and-neck.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/01/psa-nis-americas-psp-re-releases-half-price-on-psn-starting-to/">PSA: NIS America's PSP re-releases half price on PSN</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Oct 2009 05:30:00 EST. What Did I Do to Deserve This?</em></a> was <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/09/03/european-psn-releases-for-september-3/">released</a> on PSN, requiring PSP firmware 5.55 to run. One minor issue: firmware 5.55 isn't available for download. That means that the <em>Badman</em> demo is effectively <em>exclusive</em> to people who bought <em>Dissidia Final Fantasy</em> or <em>Soulcalibur Broken Destiny</em>, two games that have the new firmware on the disc. What did <em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! </em>do to deserve this?<br /><br />NIS's Allison Walter <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2009/09/03/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-demo-out-now/comment-page-1/#comment-20668">outlined</a> the company's plan to correct this unfortunate situation on the PlayStation Blog, inadvertently announcing the release of an upcoming firmware in the process. "We're going to re-release it next Thursday, 10 Sept," she said in response to user Killzone_Kid, "by which time Firmware 6.0 should have been released. Sorry for the wait!" You'll be repelling heroes from your subterranean lair in no time!<br />[Thanks, Kenneth]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/">Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477440"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748655_d6f391deb5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477439"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748611_1b75b20197_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477438"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748593_19289e6c77_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477437"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748573_da464b81dc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477436"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3422560504_90ef25cc39_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/07/holy-do-over-badman-new-euro-demo-coming-along-with-updated-ps/">Holy do-over, Badman! Oh, so <em>this </em>is what <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/03/25/sony-registers-trademark-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/">that bizarre trademark</a> was about. NIS has just revealed a new PSP game called <em>Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?</em> via the PlayStation.Blog. This is a heavily localized version of <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/tag/yuusha"><em>Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida</em></a>, a mix between <em>Dig Dug</em> and <em>Dungeon Keeper</em>. You must protect the villain, Badman, from the approaching do-gooders who want him dead. In order to do this you'll need to dig around, create monsters and keep balanced the delicate Demon Ecosystem. Sounds intriguing to us!<br /><br />We're not sure we're going to truly understand the game until we see it in action, but until then you can check out a bunch of confusingly mysterious screenshots in our gallery. It sounds like it won't be too long before the game is out, with a demo being made available on the PSN Store "soon." Check out the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/04/07/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/">PlayStation.Blog</a> for more information, as well as instructions on how to enter the Holy Hidden Codes, Badman online contest.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/">Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477440"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748655_d6f391deb5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477439"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748611_1b75b20197_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477438"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748593_19289e6c77_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477437"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3421748573_da464b81dc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/#1477436"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/04/3422560504_90ef25cc39_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/07/nis-reveals-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman-for-psp/">NIS reveals Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! for PSP</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 Apr 2009 22:00:00 EST. We would. This <a href="http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&amp;entry=77695031">trademark</a>, discovered by <a href="http://supererogatory.tumblr.com/post/89434689">superannuation</a>, was filed by SCEI less than a week ago. Unfortunately, the additional information section of the listing features the rather unhelpful "NOT AVAILABLE." We don't think we'll see anything come from this trademark soon, but it will be hilarious when it eventually comes to fruition.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/25/sony-registers-trademark-holy-invasion-of-privacy-badman/">Sony registers trademark: 'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 25 Mar 2009 05:30:00 EST.
