Not only do we get adorable <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/05/hello-kitty-x-street-fighter-plushies-figurines-coin-purses-fo/">figures and plushies</a> out of the partnership, but now Mad Catz has introduced a line of Street Fighter X Sanrio products that are both the cutest <em>and</em> have practical applications beyond said cuteness.<br /><br />Obviously, the Street Fighter X Sanrio Fighstick Pro (above) tugs at a very, very specific part of our heart, even if it does cost $160. While not stated specifically in any of its promotional materials, we feel it's safe to assume the arcade stick uses the same Sanwa Denshi parts as the <em>Street Fighter X Tekken</em> Fightstick Pro models it's based on. Just, you know, <em>very</em> pink.<br /><br />The line also includes iPhone 5 and iPad 2/3 cases in your choice of Hello Kitty Chun-Li or Hello Kitty Ryu flavors, which run for $35 and $45 respectively and can be seen in the gallery below.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/">Madcatz Street Fighter X Sanrio</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/#5492463"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/streetfight-x-sanrio-xbox2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Street Fighter X Sanrio Fightstick Pro" title="Street Fighter X Sanrio Fightstick Pro" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/#5492462"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/streetfight-x-sanrio-xbox1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Street Fighter X Sanrio Fightstick Pro" title="Street Fighter X Sanrio Fightstick Pro" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/#5492460"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/streetfighter-iphone-5-cover-chunli2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" title="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/#5492459"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/streetfighter-iphone-5-cover-chunli1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" title="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/madcatz-street-fighter-x-sanrio/#5492461"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/streetfighter-iphone-5-cover-chunli3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" title="Street Fighter X Sanrio iPhone 5 Protective Case" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/11/street-fighter-x-sanrio-line-from-mad-catz-includes-arcade-stick/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Street Fighter X Sanrio line from Mad Catz includes arcade stick, iPhone/iPad cases</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/11/street-fighter-x-sanrio-line-from-mad-catz-includes-arcade-stick/">Street Fighter X Sanrio line from Mad Catz includes arcade stick, iPhone/iPad cases</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Dec 2012 12:00:00 EST. The platform specificity in the headline should already impart the bad news: <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/machinarium"><em>Machinarium</em></a> is not suited for the original iPad. According to a brief post on Amanita Design's blog, the melancholy 'bot adventure "needs quite a lot of memory and fast CPU so it works well only on iPad 2."<br />
<br />
Owners of Apple's latest tablet "should" be able to download <em>Machinarium</em> from the App Store on September 8th. Amanita offers an apology to iPad 1 owners, and we suggest you load up the Unreal-powered <em>Infinity Blade</em> to quell any creeping thoughts of technological inadequacy.<br />
<br />
<em>Machinarium</em> is available on PC and Mac, and is en route to PlayStation Network (this fall), Playbook and "capable" Android tablets. Should we start worrying about the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/10/xgen-studios-bringing-the-adorable-machinarium-to-wiiware/">WiiWare version</a>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/23/machinarium-should-be-coming-to-ipad-2-on-sept-8/">Machinarium 'should' be coming to iPad 2 on Sept. 8</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Aug 2011 17:30:00 EST. <em>Sid Meier's Pirates!</em> has found another platform to plunder, sailing onto iPad for $6.99. The game includes the classic minigames from the original PC title, with some like "bombardment" (pictured) from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/04/sid-meiers-pirates-plundering-on-wii-this-autumn/">Wii version</a>.<br />
<br />
The casual-core game also features the ability to "Piratize" your own picture using the iPad 2's camera, along with Game Center support. So, if you don't already own this game for the <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/search/all/sid+meier%27s+pirates/results">several platforms</a> it has generated booty from, here's the latest, setting sail to make its fortune.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/sid-meiers-pirates-sails-onto-ipad/">Sid Meier's Pirates! sails onto iPad</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jul 2011 23:30:00 EST. If you're confused about which platform on which to play <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/two-worlds-2-castle-defense">Two Worlds 2: Castle Defense,</a></em> only one platform is going to be staring at your face as you play. Maybe you should take that into consideration.<br />
<br />
The iPad 2 version features 3D-ET tech, to change the camera angle based on the position of your face relative to the screen. Basically, the announcement says you can "look around corners." It also says it's "eye tracking" tech, but we're more inclined to believe it's tracking the movement of your head, because eye tracking requires a really close-up camera and <em>very</em> quick refresh rate. Still neat, though!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/two-worlds-2-castle-defense-on-ipad-2-uses-eye-tracking-techno/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Two Worlds 2: Castle Defense on iPad 2 uses 'eye-tracking technology'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/two-worlds-2-castle-defense-on-ipad-2-uses-eye-tracking-techno/">Two Worlds 2: Castle Defense on iPad 2 uses 'eye-tracking technology'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jul 2011 21:30:00 EST. If Uncle Ben taught us anything, it's that with great power, comes great responsibility. And, if you're legendary hacker George '<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Geohot/">Geohot</a>' Hotz, great job opportunities! Having <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/11/sony-and-playstation-3-jailbreaker-george-hotz-settle-out-of-cou/">survived</a> Sony's legal onslaught earlier this year, Hotz has landed himself a sweet development gig at Facebook.<br />
<br />
During an interview with hacking community MyGreatFest, rival jailbreaker Joshua Hill (aka P0sixninja) claimed that Geohot had declined an iPad 2 hacking challenge in order to maintain a low profile, and to focus on his new job at Facebook. Hill implied that Hotz's refusal to hack some 'pads indicated his involvement in the development of Facebook's as-yet-unconfirmed iPad app.<br />
<br />
Hotz's rumored employment status was later corroborated by TechMeme's Gabe Rivera, who tweeted a link to the hacker's (now private) Facebook wall, which reportedly called the social network "an amazing place to work." George certainly isn't the first hacker to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/26/lulzsec-doffs-its-gray-hat-your-games-are-safe-for-now/">give up the game</a> and go legit, and with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/29/microsoft-treats-kid-hacker-with-kid-gloves-in-wake-of-psn-debac/">more companies</a> recognizing the talent and skill required for the craft, we doubt he'll be the last.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/26/george-geohot-hotz-now-using-his-powers-for-good-facebook/">George 'Geohot' Hotz now using his powers for good, Facebook</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 26 Jun 2011 18:00:00 EST. Thanks to the addition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/25/in-app-purchasing-coming-to-android-market-next-week/">in-app purchases</a>, Trendy Entertainment has made the Android version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dungeon-defenders"><em>Dungeon Defenders: First Wave</em></a> free-to-play. The updated version of the hack-and-slash, tower defense hybrid game will allow Android users to purchase "pets, armor, equipment, and a host of other in-game items," and it's <a href="https://market.android.com/details?id=com.trendy.ddapp&amp;feature=search_result">available now</a> on the Android Market.<br />
<br />
Trendy has also updated the iOS version of the game, which is now optimized for iPad 2 (though the app is still universal). To celebrate, the game has been discounted to $0.99 for the next week. Check out a video of the iPad 2-optimized <em>Dungeon Defenders</em> after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/31/dungeon-defenders-goes-freemium-on-android-gets-optimized-for-i/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dungeon Defenders goes freemium on Android, gets optimized for iPad 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/31/dungeon-defenders-goes-freemium-on-android-gets-optimized-for-i/">Dungeon Defenders goes freemium on Android, gets optimized for iPad 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 31 Mar 2011 15:40:00 EST. While it seems that everyone got iPad fever in 2010, we can think of one sad soul who was left out of the fun: Your TV. Oh sure, he liked watching you play <em>Angry Birds HD</em>, he just wishes he could get in on the fun. He doesn't want you to buy one of those fancy adapters, mind you, it's not worth all the trouble and cost. He just misses you. He misses you and all the gaming fun the two of you used to have.<br />
<br />
Imagine your personified, surprisingly needy TV's sheer delight when he learns the iPad 2 features HDMI output via a $40 cable! It goes up to 1080p and supports all your games and apps, as well as screen rotation -- heck, it even charges your pad!<br />
<br />
Dear reader, meet your TV. It would seem the two of you have some catching up to do.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/02/ipad-2-to-feature-hdmi-output/">iPad 2 to feature HDMI output</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Mar 2011 13:43:00 EST. Surprising literally no one on the entire planet (and that includes remote African tribes that lack running water, to say nothing of decent Wi-Fi access) Apple just announced the iPad 2.<br />
<br />
The system features rear and front-facing cameras, a dual core processor -- the A5 chip -- and is 33 percent thinner than its predecessor; thinner even than the iPhone 4. There will be models for both AT&amp;T and Verizon, and you can expect 10 hours of battery life from a single charge.<br />
<br />
The pricing, however has not changed. The iPad 2 will run from $629 to $829 for units with 3G and $499 to $699 for those without, just like "iPad Prime."<br />
<br />
The good news? It'll be here sooner than you think: March 11 in the US and in <a href="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/03/20110302-10252893--img4559.jpg">26 other countries</a> by March 25.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/02/ipad-2/">Apple reveals iPad 2, coming March 11</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Mar 2011 13:20:00 EST.
