This Wednesday brings the return of vehicular madness with Trials Evolution, while next week brings Bloodforge and Deep Black: Episode 1, an underwater action game we haven't heard about since 2010.

On the Deal of the Week front, this week is LEGO themed, with 25 percent off the Games on Demand versions of LEGO Batman, LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. In the US, that puts LEGO Batman and LEGO Indiana Jones at $15, and LEGO Star Wars at $22.50. Next week, XBLA's NBA Jam: On Fire Edition will be reduced from $15 to $10.

In the announcement of the renewed deal, WBIE notes that the Lego series, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman games (Lego Rock Band isn't mentioned for some reason), has sold "close to 50 million units worldwide." Next up for the Lego/TT Games collaboration are Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 this May, and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars this fall.

Soon, friends who see that you're playing Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network won't need to sit idol-y by -- they'll be able to join in. LucasArts has tweeted that it's working on a patch that will bring online co-op play to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the latest Lego game on the block.

What's more, the publisher has also confirmed that the patch will let players collaborate in the game's level editor, tweeting, "In LIJ2's new co-op, you'll be able to join others as they build and play their levels." As for timing, LucasArts says to "give it a few weeks" before the update is transported by submarine from Cairo to a secret island base Microsoft and Sony's servers.

On November 23, Games on Demand will see three new entries, Saints Row 2, LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures and Battlefield: Bad Company.

The same week, there will actually be three Deals of the Week. The Fable II DLC "See the Future," normally 560 ($7) will be knocked down to 400 ($5). Meanwhile, Death Tank, usually 1200 ($15), will be reduced to 800 ($10). As The best deal, however, will be the excellent puzzler Peggle, which will shoot from 800 ($10) to 400 ($5). Pair that with the recently released Peggle Nights expansion (400), and you've got a lot of sweet, sweet Peggle for only $10.

As revealed earlier, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will the Deal of the Week starting November 30. It will be reduced from 400 ($5) to 240 ($3).

So, of course we're excited that the Indiana Jones films are being remastered block-mastered again, since we heart them too. (Actually, don't get us started on the last one -- sheesh!)

As this newly released trailer shows, the tongue-in-cheek humor, charm and co-op play that's made the previous LEGO offerings so appealing doesn't seem to have been turned town in the tiniest for LEGO Indiana Jones 2 -- and we can't wait to create some truly weird stuff with the new level editor. We're thinking of awarding a prize to the editor who devises the most ingenious and playfully painful way to get rid of "Mutt" -- preferably as fast as possible -- since all of our pleas to Lucas to write him out of canon have thus far gone ignored.

It seems that user-generated content has usurped co-op as the hot new "gotta have it" feature. Lego Indiana Jones has found a way to bridge the gap between the two features (impressive, considering his stubby legs), allowing two players to create levels simultaneously (a la LittleBigPlanet) in his upcoming sequel, subtitled The Adventure Continues. Good news: The feature will appear on Wii as well as 360 and PS3. Bad news: They won't be sharable on any console, which just seems silly.

Our man Jem Alexander reports from the Develop conference that you'll be able to create levels by playing, similar to what we saw in Modnation Racers during E3. We have no clue how that'll work, but we'd let Mola Ram tear our hearts out to learn more.

If you're looking to get an Xbox 360 this holiday and aren't concerned about having the latest M-rated games, Sam's Club (Wal-Mart's warehouse retail chain) has a big ol' bundle available soon. Members will be able to purchase a 60GB Xbox 360, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and Guitar Hero III (with wireless guitar) for $350. We contacted the company to double check that it wasn't a typo and, sure enough, we were told it was accurate. The bundle should start arriving in November-- there's no specific date for it being in stores, so call ahead.

While we're talking Sam's Club, we've also been told all Guitar Hero III bundle prices have been reduced (we've placed details after the break). We were also informed that the store, along with Wal-Mart, will have a limited edition "dragon" controller (no picture currently available), bundled with a black headset, for $60. We'll keep an eye out for other deals as we approach the holidays.

Update: Swedish retailer Webhallen.com has the rumored Arcade, Pro and Elite holiday bundles for sale and pictured on their site. It's more proof, but we still have no "official" word from Microsoft. Thanks Dirty Whirlwind.

Just as was done last year, Microsoft may be looking to release special Xbox 360 packages that are bundled with a few free games to entice holiday console purchasers. And according to our insider Gamestop tipster, this holiday Microsoft will be bundling family friendly games with all three major 360 consoles.

We've been informed that the Xbox 360 Arcade model will come packaged with SEGA Superstar Tennis and both the Pro and Elite models will come bundled with Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones. Sadly, we don't have any picture proof of the new bundles or a solid release date, but we'll keep digging to see whether or not the holiday game bundling is legit. For now, we advise being optimistically skeptical.

While we do love all different kinds of trailers and videos to spaz up our normally dull internet lives, we really appreciate when we come away with something useful after watching one. That's why we love developer's diaries, especially ones that involve the beloved Square Enix, and especially when said Squeenix game is WiiWare's My Life as a King.

With the exception of the almost monotonous voice-over work, we found the video and the tidbits of info offered interesting. Note, though, that we're still a little bitter about the "content updates," which is the developers' euphemism for "Square Enix maiming our wallets for stuff that should have been included in the first place."

Heading into the weekend, you'll have plenty of demo fun to participate in as Lucas Arts just released a new LEGO Indiana Jones demo to the Xbox Live Marketplace. You'll be pleased to know that the demo is available to all Xbox Live regions and clocks in at a worthy 620MB. Indeed. Not much more can be said about LEGO Indy other than the fact that it's LEGO based, moderately entertaining and (sadly) doesn't include any mention of Harrison Ford or Shia LaBeouf. What a wasted opportunity.

He's uncovered the fate of Atlantis, bested an infernal machine and rummaged through an emperor's tomb, but everybody's favorite Nazi-punching archaeologist faces his greatest challenge in a world made entirely out of toy blocks. Lego Indiana Jones has arrived to fairly favorable reviews, with most critics approving of the game's silent, comedic send-up of classic movie moments. If you're not the only kid in the house and enjoy collecting lots and lots and lots of things, you could do worse than tossing the developer your idle cash.
  • IGN (80/100): "Traveller's Tales has once again delivered an experience that boils down to smashing stuff over and over again while searching for secrets, while also managing to make that formula fun and addictive. It's certainly not a huge leap over the LEGO Star Wars titles, and in fact still has some of that series' issues, but it's no less enthralling and certainly a fun adventure worth taking on."
  • 1UP (75/100): "Lego Indy's main quest isn't terribly expansive -- you can finish it in a weekend, and that's if you take your time -- but the game's unquestionably built for completists, with a ton of hidden treasure and extra characters (you can unlock pretty much every character in the films, right down to Last Crusade's castle butler). It's easy to dismiss as kids' fare, but Lego Indiana Jones is a light, enjoyable action game, especially if you've got a willing friend for co-op play."
  • Eurogamer (70/100): "This is all starting to sound a bit grinchy, so at this point I feel I should point out that my five-year-old son, who helped me with the hands on preview, is currently at 99.7 percent completion on our second save game with just one character left to unlock. He's certainly commented on the absence of familiar features, and seems less enthused about collecting billions of LEGO studs now that there's not as much to spend them on, but he's still been happily replaying his favourite levels over and over, just as he did with Star Wars."

It's only been days since LEGO indiana Jones found itself sitting on a retail shelf and now producer Shawn Storc is already hinting at a sequel. When asked about the latest Indiana Jones film being absent from the new LEGO Indiana Jones game, Storc said "There is so much content in the first three 'Indy' movies that we wanted to maintain focus on those adventures." Makes sense, we suppose. Those looking for more Indy action should not fret, though.

Although nothing has been revealed, Storc still wants you to know there's a chance the latest film can be adapted into a LEGO game. "We don't have anything to announce, but there's always a chance," he comments. That's all well and good, but with the previous titles containing plenty of levels, spanning across several films, could they even make a title based on one movie work?

With LEGO Indiana Jones releasing this week, many of you were likely dying to get your hands on it. But, wouldn't you like to see what some reviews say before you decide if this is a rental or a purchase? Well then, check out the snippets of text below.
  • IGN (80/100) liked what they played, lauding the game for keeping the formula fun: "Traveller's Tales has once again delivered an experience that boils down to smashing stuff over and over again while searching for secrets, while also managing to make that formula fun and addictive. We can tell you unreservedly (and from experience) that it is glorious in execution. It's also goriest in executions. The back cover of the Lego Indiana Jones manual has revealed a new Star Wars game headed to Wii and DS: Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This new game will be based on the CG movie and animated series coming out later this year. It's actually the second Clone Wars game: a Clone Wars title was released for the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube back in 2002. Of course, the new show is also the second Clone Wars TV show, because people love the prequel trilogy. In general, we hold much lower expectations for this game than the massively hyped The Force Unleashed, despite knowing nothing at all about it.

For one thing, it's going to look at best like the CG Clone Wars movie, and you can see from the image above how that's working out. In addition, The Force Unleashed has been in the works for years, and seems designed with gameplay at the forefront. This ... is going to be a licensed game.

We've got old man fever as hardened adventure veteran Harrison Ford once more steps into the shoes of Indy in the latest movie, and lends his block-headed likeness to Lego Indiana Jones. In preparation for the explosion of cool on the big and small screen, this blogger had a marathon session of all three original films. Checking out these latest screenshots for LEGO Indiana Jones after having just watched the movies gets one all giddy. LEGO Elsa looks so much like her real-life counterpart it's uncanny. Stop, Indy! She's evil!

With early buzz for the new Indiana Jones movie being wishy-washy, fans may need to find solace in playing the Lego Indiana Jones game on June 3rd. The PC demo is now available for download and should also be packaged with the Indiana Jones DVDs coming out today.

No word yet on console demos for Xbox 360 or PS3, but we've got some calls out for info. We can't imagine there'd only be a demo for PC. Clearly, somebody from marketing would've "chosen poorly" if that were the case.

Let's get the best part out of the way right now. Every single achievement in LEGO Indiana Jones is named after a line from the films. From the well-known "Why did it have to be snakes?" to "He chose... poorly," the lines run the gamut of all the films released thus far. There are a total of fifty achievements to earn, ranging in point values from 10 to 100 points. The single 100 point achievement is awarded for reaching a 100% completion level. If the LEGO Star Wars games were any indication, reaching 100% will take a significant time investment. Oh, and we hope you like secret achievements, because there are sixteen of them. IGN has uploaded a nice variety of trailers for LEGO Indiana Jones. The trailers show off different aspects of the gameplay, including using Indy's famous whip to navigate through environments. Aside from that, we also get to look at the game's retelling of a very famous scene from one of the films, as well as other game footage. After giving the videos a watch, we're convinced that we want to get our hands on this.

Though we were already excited about Lego Indiana Jones, our desire for the game is something more akin to fever pitch now that we've seen the above gameplay video. It features almost all our favorite Indy moments just as we remember them from our childhood only, you know, stubbier.

One of the more pleasant surprises is that although the characters all look (as you would expect) as if they were created from molded plastic, the environments are really nicely rendered. We say that so we have a grown up reason for being so excited, but the truth is that there's a part where he whips Willie and kisses her and it's adorable.

It's amazing how little plastic representations of iconic films are so appealing in videogame form. There's LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Batman, but now there's also LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. Why are these games so charming? Is it the wackiness and cuteness? More realistic movie-licensed games that follow closely to their film counterparts are historically horrible in quality and relative sales. The LEGO versions, not so bad. Perhaps Spielberg's right; maybe that's why he went for Boom Blox instead of the next Schindler's List of gaming. Anyway, Indy's LEGO romp looks like a fun ride. Will the more realistic Indiana Jones game be as appealing?

A new trailer from the upcoming LEGO Indiana Jones game has been released and it's pretty much everything you'd expect. Indy's catchy tune is there, as well as plenty of cutscene footage showing off the many characters that will be in the game. Also, may we say the Temple of Doom looks awesome in this trailer? We may? Thank you!

Also of note is the good doctor's new website that recently launched. It has plenty of other media available, including screens and artwork from the game. Are you excited for this one yet?

Heads up! LucasArts just launched the official LEGO Indiana Jones website and with it comes a brand new gameplay trailer as well. Whiptacular!

The official LEGO Indy website features your standard array of game screenshots, videos and community forums, but also boasts a lil' treasure hunt where you can use your newly discovered gems to "purchase" wallpapers, avatars and (our favorite) coloring sheets! The new trailer (embedded above) gives curious LEGO Indy fans a look at what's to come, including the occasional ride on a LEGO elephant and tons of whip usage. So much whip use that one has to wonder if whipping things can become an addiction. Whips Anonymous anyone?

For all of you whipoholics out there, we've got an adventure for you. The website for the upcoming LEGO Indiana Jones game has gone live. What is the adventure? Exploring the deepest, darkest and most dangerous corners of the small slice of internet it occupies.

It's a little light on the DS side, instead offering up screens and other media from the console versions of the game, but there's some nice concept art to look at, as well as a link to a demo of the game you can play on your PC. That's something, right? Right?

The Lego Indiana Jones website is now live and features a little "treasure hunt" game where users search for riches and can then "purchase" wallpapers, avatars and coloring sheets. There's also the standard stuff like a community forum and screenshots, along with the trailer for the game.

A downloadable demo should be available for PC on May 13 (also available on the movie DVDs) and we're not finding any information on a console demo, but that doesn't mean there won't be one. Lego Indy begins beating up Nazis random cult members at retail June 3.
