Take a look at this deal: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/legostarwars/"><em>LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em></a> for only 25 bucks. That's a savings of 50 percent on a story that spans over all six <em>Star Wars</em> films. Not bad, not bad at all. If you've been on the fence about getting this game, now might be a good time to pick it up. You can avail of this offer at <a href="http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=PS3038">LEGO's official website</a>.<br /><br />[Thanks James G., Via <a href="http://www.fatwallet.com/t/18/817931">Fatwallet</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/24/deal-of-the-day-lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-for-25/">Deal of the Day: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for $25</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 24 Mar 2008 09:30:00 EST. During 2007, lots of companies realized that the Wii was doing good. Perhaps, too good. So, they scrambled to make games that they could port or "enhance" for the Wii, or other games that were made to take advantage of <strike>the console's </strike><span style="text-decoration: line-through;">adopters who were new to gaming and thus susceptible to spending money on crap games</span> the unique capabilities of the Wii's controls scheme, causing a slew of cash-ins on the console that didn't necessarily bring anything new to the Wii other than another game sitting on the shelf. So, let's look at those games and you tell us what the most shameless and useless game of the lot is.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/19/best-of-2007-worst-attempt-at-a-cash-in/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Best of 2007: Worst attempt at a cash-in</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/19/best-of-2007-worst-attempt-at-a-cash-in/">Best of 2007: Worst attempt at a cash-in</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 19 Dec 2007 18:00:00 EST. Not satisfied with merely financing, publishing, and distributing <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/LEGOBatman/">LEGO Batman</a></em>, Warner Bros. has decided to purchase the <em>whole</em> pie, bagging developer Traveler's Tales and its parent group TT Games. While we haven't been told just how much cash will be stuffed into the briefcase when it changes hands, we do know the acquisition encompasses both the development and publishing arms of TT Games, which owns game rights to a book about obscure world records. Recreating the longest ironing session ever (55 hours, 5 minutes, fyi) would certainly be a thrill, but we've got our fingers crossed for a proper <em>Matrix</em> treatment to follow on the heels of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/27/lego-indiana-jones-announced/" target="_blank">LEGO Indy</a></em>. <em>Go ahead, eat the red brick -- we dare ya!</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/08/warner-bros-buys-tt-games/">Warner Bros buys TT Games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 08 Nov 2007 13:05:00 EST. Within the next month, we will be positively <em>assaulted</em> with new and wonderful Xbox 360 games. The summer wasn't exactly thin, especially as summers tend to go for video games, but the sheer amount of games dropping this month alone -- good games, mind you -- is ridiculous. But let's not get ahead of ourselves thinking about the impending arrival of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/mass-effect"><em>Mass Effect</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/assassins-creed"><em>Assassin's Creed</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/kane-and-lynch"><em>Kane &amp; Lynch</em></a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/rock-band"><em>Rock Band</em></a> (to name a few). No, let's concentrate on this week's titles. One thing at a time, as it were. So, this week we have:<br />
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/cod4"><em>Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare</em></a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fear"><em>F.E.A.R. Files</em></a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/bladestorm"><em>Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War</em></a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/scene-it"><em>Scene-It</em></a></li>
    <li><em>LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em></li>
    <li><em>Cabela's Big Game Hunter</em></li>
</ul>
We have something of a soft spot for <em>Scene-It</em>, but we imagine the majority of you are most excited for <em>Call of Duty 4</em>. We don't blame you either, all of us here at X3F were addicted to its online leveling system during the beta in earlier this year.<br /><br />Don't get too excited though. We've got three more weeks of high caliber releases to come. You might want to start your financial planning now.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/05/shipping-this-week-war-is-hell-edition/">Shipping this week: war is hell edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 05 Nov 2007 09:30:00 EST. And, the developers behind the title, Traveller's Tales, are taking this seriously, as they rebuilt the game from the ground up, rather than recycling the first game's engine.<br /><br />In giving the game a play, Joystiq found that the title was not only impressive from a graphical standpoint, but also found the controls to be adequate. They're of the mind that the game should satisfy fans come the title's launch on November 6th.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/">Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/#417355"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_jedi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/#417354"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_group_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/#417353"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_ds_sith_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/#417352"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/legoswtcs_nds3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-1/#417351"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/legoswtcs_nds2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/28/joystiq-gets-their-hands-on-lego-star-wars-complete-saga/">Joystiq gets their hands on Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Sep 2007 11:30:00 EST. The company tried to remain positive -- or at the very least, civil -- about the previous DS <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ds/legostarwars2theoriginaltrilogy">bomb</a>, <span style="font-style: italic;">Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy</span>. But this showing was clearly to prove to journalists that the DS version of the new game won't follow the murky fate of its predecessor. <br /><br />Lego Star Wars creator, Traveller's Tales redeveloped the game for the DS instead of re-using the old DS engine, and it shows. The new game more closely resembles <span style="font-style: italic;">LSW</span> on other consoles. In my brief play session, I was impressed with the top-screen 3D graphics; <span style="font-style: italic;">LSW Complete</span> could be the graphical leader for 3D DS games with its November 6 launch.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/">Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (DS)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/#416028"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/legoswtcs_nds3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/#416027"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_ds_sith_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/#416026"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_pilot_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/#416025"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/legoswtcs_nds1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/#416024"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/09/lsw_group_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/27/joystiq-impressions-lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq impressions: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (DS)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/27/joystiq-impressions-lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-ds/">Joystiq impressions: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (DS)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 27 Sep 2007 15:30:00 EST. A new gameplay trailer for <span style="font-style: italic;">Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga</span> has emerged on the net. In said trailer, we're shown all of the wonderful waggle that is sure to cause many a wrist to ache once the game releases. Maybe it's just us, but using the Force to assemble blocks looks kind of annoying. Using the lightsaber looks fun, though.<br /><br />Check out the video past the post break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/30/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-gameplay-demo/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga gameplay demo</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/30/lego-star-wars-complete-saga-gameplay-demo/">Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga gameplay demo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 30 Jul 2007 12:00:00 EST. Our blogging overlords got their hands on the Wii version of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/lego">Lego</a> Star Wars: Complete Saga</em> at E3 yesterday. Sure, they got their hands on all three different versions of the game, commenting that the PS3 version looked the best. Graphics don't mean crud to us, though. We want to know about those gesture-based controls!<br /><br />In regards to that, they said that the control setup does "somewhat answer our Jedi geek dreams: motion controlled lightsaber action." They add that the motion controls allow for a unique experience on the Wii, which is something we're glad to read. They didn't really have much more to say about the Wii version of the game beyond that, but we're just glad to hear the motion controls are spot on and fun.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/12/e307-joystiq-goes-hands-on-with-lego-star-wars-complete-saga/">E307: Joystiq goes hands on with Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 12 Jul 2007 16:00:00 EST. Six episodes, one disc. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/LucasArts/">LucasArts</a> is combining its hit <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/LEGOStarWars/">LEGO Star Wars</a> games into one package, and to rope in fans of the series who already picked it up, they've added new content -- levels, characters, features and modes. The House that George Built showed off some of the new improvements of <em>LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em> this week at the <a href="http://e307.joystiq.com">E3 summit</a>.<br /><br /> We first saw the PlayStation 3 build of the game, with improved visuals and great lighting techniques. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 will have drop-in online co-op, much like their current offline co-op mode. So now your South African BFF can be invited to join you halfway through the Battle of Hoth.<br /><br /> Unique to the PS3 version are motion controls using the Sixaxis pad. We were shown one space battle scene over a Star Destroy where the controls were used to maneuver a TIE Defender. Given the graphical details, we actually forgot for a moment that this was a LEGO game.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/12/joystiq-impressions-lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq impressions: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/12/joystiq-impressions-lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga/">Joystiq impressions: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 12 Jul 2007 06:30:00 EST. Turns out, it is, but it won't be as influential as you think.<br /><br />According to CVG, the game will still use button presses to initiate most moves, however, through the use of the Wiimote's motion-sensitivity, players can pump up their powers. For example, players can construct objects from the loose bricks permeating the game world faster by moving the Wiimote up and down. It might not be what gamers are hoping for, but at least it's a step in the right direction.<br /><br />[Thanks, Squishey!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/09/a-taste-of-the-wiimote-in-lego-star-wars/">A taste of the Wiimote in Lego Star Wars</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Jul 2007 13:00:00 EST. While LucasArts says it's adding some new content, we fear that the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/24/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-bricking-360-ps3-wii-ds/">upcoming Lego Star Wars game</a>, <span style="font-style: italic;">Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga</span> will just be a new name on an old title. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/20/new-fracture-details-co-op-confirmed/">LucasArts</a> will bring forth a new retooling of the already released, <em>Lego Star Wars</em> and <em>Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy</em> for PS3 gamers this fall. Instead of just combining the two games into one, developer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/30/lego-batman-developer-hints-at-even-more-lego-titles/">Traveller's Tales</a> decided to go the extra mile and include some extra levels, new power ups, and even a challenge mode. Watto and Boss Nass become playable characters and from the sounds of it, the character customizer now allows options for the prequel trilogy characters. With promises to "take full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles," we should expect <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/09/and-the-emmy-goes-to-the-sixaxis/">Sixaxis</a> tilt control game play. Utilizing the Force by moving the controller certainly sounds interesting. Lets hope it's implemented well. Considering the last release sold like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/21/lego-star-wars-uses-the-force-sells-1-1-million-copies/">hotcakes</a>, expectations are high on this combined re-release. Look for more as the fall release approaches. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/24/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-bricking-360-ps3-wii-ds/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/24/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-coming-to-ps3-this-fall/">Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga coming to PS3 this fall</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 May 2007 20:00:00 EST. Nothing beats the satisfaction that arises from successfully assembling a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/27/warner-to-finance-and-publish-lego-batman/">Lego masterpiece</a> out of a handful of meaningless blocks. LucasArts must be glowing with delight then, since they've just managed to construct a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/21/lego-star-wars-uses-the-force-sells-1-1-million-copies/">fully functional ATM</a> by just clipping two of their pieces together. On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, LucasArts has <a href="http://www.lucasarts.com/games/legostarwarssaga/gameinfo/news/summary.html">officially announced</a> <em>Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em> for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/04/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-for-wii/">Wii</a> and DS. <br /><br />The game will be a combination of <em>Lego Star Wars: The Video Game</em> and last year's <em>Lego Star Wars: The</em> <strike>Good</strike> <em>Original Trilogy</em>, with additional characters, enhanced levels and features tossed in by developer TT Games. The group promises to take "full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles" (<em>three?) </em>and notes that the DS version is unique in being constructed from "the ground up." Brick your favorite console when <em>Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em> arrives this Fall.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/24/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-bricking-360-ps3-wii-ds/">Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga to brick 360, PS3, Wii, DS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 May 2007 15:44:00 EST. Codename Revolution <a href="http://www.codenamerevolution.com/?p=4968">reports</a> that <em>Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga</em> is coming to Wii this holiday season. The assumption is that this will be a one disc version of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/21/lego-star-wars-uses-the-force-sells-1-1-million-copies/">sleeper hits</a> in the <em>Lego Star Wars </em>series. Beyond this basic information, discovered through a distribution contact, there is no news on how the Wiimote will be used.<br /><br />If they somehow change the camera to over-the-shoulder or attempt to keep it behind the character in classic platformer style the blaster and lightsaber may be incredibly fun. If it's from the top down or random camera angles, like it is in the versions available now, we fear for a <em>Marvel: Ultimate Alliance</em> on Wii feel. That experience need not be repeated, thank you.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/04/lego-star-wars-the-complete-saga-for-wii/">Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 04 May 2007 23:00:00 EST. Nothing more than a port of both titles on the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=gamecube">GameCube</a>, the game will now feature <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=wiimote">Wiimote</a> controls, bringing us all one step closer to <em>actually wielding a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/24/confirmed-lightsaber-on-lightsaber-action-for-wii/">lightsaber</a></em>. <br /><br />Of course, we'd like to point out that the Wii doesn't need any more GameCube ports, but we feel kind of like a Storm Trooper in Mos Eisley. As part of Xbox.com's May newsletter, Microsoft announced both titles were going to be retailing for the standard $29.99 Platinum Hits price. We know <em>Saints Row</em> will appeal to some gangster fans, but we can nearly guarantee that most fanboys will find <em>Lego Star Wars II</em> worth the $30 price tag. Congratulations <em>Saints Row</em> and <em>Lego Star Wars II</em>, you're part of the somewhat special Platinum Hits club and now it's time to cash out on that retirement fund.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/28/saints-row-and-lego-star-wars-ii-are-platinum/">Saints Row and Lego Star Wars II are platinum</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 28 Apr 2007 10:00:00 EST. When other groups are hard at work stringing together reams of code and drawing concept sketches, these guys are building bridges, stacking blocks and crying in anguish whenever a careless passerby kicks over a wall. They're making Lego games -- and lots of them too.<br /><br />The studio's head of production, Jonathan Smith, tells <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=23863">GamesIndustry.biz</a> that the Lego tracks have been put down beyond <em>Lego Batman</em> (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/27/warner-to-finance-and-publish-lego-batman/">bricking multiple consoles in 2008</a>). "We have genuinely exciting plans for future Lego titles," says Smith, noting that the positive response earned by the Lego Star Wars games is pushing his team to exceed expectations. Though the titles have been popular among the young ones, it's not unusual to spot an "adult" having a good time with familiar characters and equally familiar building blocks.<br /><br />Though no other Lego-fied franchises are mentioned, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of <em>Lego Pink Panther</em>, <em>Lego Carmen Sandiego: Where in the World is That Damn Piece</em>?, <em>Lego Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Brickening</em> and of course, <em>Lego Lego Batman</em> (the game based on the Lego based on the game).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/30/lego-batman-developer-hints-at-even-more-lego-titles/">Lego Batman developer hints at even more Lego titles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 Mar 2007 11:31:00 EST. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will do the publishing rights this time and <em>LEGO Batman</em> is set to come out sometime 2008. </p>
<p>I'm personally more excited about this LEGO title than Star Wars simply because I'm a bigger fan of Batman. If you could have any property turned into a LEGO game, which would you choose?</p>

With Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment heading the publisher duties, TT Games is returning to develop the title, which is slated for a 2008 release on new generation consoles. Did you play and enjoy either of the <em>Lego Star Wars</em> games, camera issues aside? Looking past some gameplay issues, we were able to have fun and enjoy <em>The Original Trilogy</em> for what it as. So, do you think "Lego-izing" the <em>Batman</em> universe could see the same success as the <em>Star Wars</em> franchise did? <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.gamestooge.com/2007/03/27/batman-lego-announced/">GameStooge</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/27/lego-batman-coming-to-360-in-2008/">Lego Batman coming to 360 in 2008</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 27 Mar 2007 16:30:00 EST. <p>Savage Entertainment is working on a PSP <em>Transformers</em> game based on the movie. Savage has previously made <em>Star Wars Battlefront 2</em> and <em>Scooby Doo</em> for the PSP, so they have experience with Sony's portable. Based on Micheal Bay's upcoming <em>Transformers</em> movie, <em>Transformers: The Game</em> the title will feature Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream among other well known robots and give players the choice to play Autobot and save the world or Decepticon and try to take it over. Each Transformer has their own set of skills and abilities and players can choose at any moment to move from robot to vehicle form. </p>
<p>Over the course of the game, players will travel through fully destructible environments and each character's scale and weight will affect how they fight. You'll use range and melee combat to fight your way to your ultimate goal. The console versions are being created by Traveler's Tales of <em>Lego Star Wars</em> fame and all versions are said to have similar content, which is very good considering how well <em>Lego Star Wars</em> worked on the PSP. Of course the PSP edition has exclusive content. This time it comes in the form of an expanded storyline and multiplayer. </p>
<p>The last <em>Transformers</em> game (for PS2) was quite enjoyable and I have high hopes for this rendition. Anyone else looking forward to this game?<br /></p>

The company's booth holds many kiosks showing Feral's latest -- or in-progress -- ports, including <em>Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy</em>, <em>The Movies</em>, and <em>Imperial Glory</em>.<br /><br />Feral head, David Stephen updated us on the status of its games; <em>Lego Star Wars</em>, <em>Colin McRae Rally</em>, and <em>Fable: The Lost Chapters</em> will ship this Spring. (A few technical glitches that delayed the latter two titles have recently been fixed.)<br /><br />Stephen is also excited about the newly shipped <em>The Movies</em> because of updates Feral was able to make to the PC version. For example, Mac gamers have more format options when exporting completed movies. Also, because Feral wanted Mac gamers to be able to share videos on the PC-game's Windows Media site, the Mac version includes a copy of Flip4Mac's <a href="http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_studio.htm">WMV Studio</a> -- normally a $50 utility -- to render in that Windows codec.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/12/feral-interactive-product-update-macworld-expo/">Feral Interactive product update (Macworld Expo)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 12 Jan 2007 08:55:00 EST. CVG reports that the <a href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=145768">world's greatest detective</a> has been chosen by Traveller's Tales to star in the next instalment of the lighthearted series. Following in the square footsteps of the<em> Star Wars</em> games, Batman's blocky adventure is sure to be an amusing parody of everything we've come to know about the caped crusader, Gotham City and its noticeably deranged inhabitants. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?"<br /><br />If you'll recall, it was just <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/16/more-lego-games-planned-says-star-wars-developer/">last month</a> that Jonathan Smith of Traveller's Tales confirmed that more LEGO games were in the works. Congratulations to Joystiq commenter 32_Footsteps for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/16/more-lego-games-planned-says-star-wars-developer/#c1924013">correctly pinning</a> Batman as the next victim of geometric simplification. We'd dole out some sort of prize, but we think having Batman busting blockheads and battling a juxtaposed Joker is reward enough.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/08/batman-to-brick-consoles-everywhere/">Batman to LEGO brick consoles everywhere</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 08 Sep 2006 14:55:00 EST. Thanks to the folks at the Gamerscore Blog, we've learned that the next Xbox back compat update "should be out in the next few weeks."<br />
<br />
In his earlier blast against BC, Peter Moore proclaimed that nobody is concerned about it anymore, but thankfully the gentler Gamerscore peeps have set the record straight, stating: "We know for a fact that there are <em>lots</em> of people who continue to care about backwards compatibility, including the 'Emulation Ninjas' who are working full time on the updates. And those of us posting on this blog. And, of course, many of you."<br />
<br />
We suppose quarterly updates to the BC list aren't TOO bad (hey, they sure beat semiannual dashboard updates), but getting more than a dozen titles to work each time would definitely help a lot more for those with original Xbox favorites they'd prefer to play on their new machines. Personally, this blogger would like to see the following titles added to the list: <em>Dead or Alive Ultimate</em>, <em>Doom 3</em>, <em>Capcom vs. SNK 2</em>, <em>Marvel vs. Capcom 2</em>, <em>Project Gotham Racing 2</em>, <em>LEGO Star Wars</em>, <em>Street Fighter Anniversary Collection</em>, <em>Soul Calibur II</em>, and <em>Capcom Classics Collection</em>. It may not be realistic to expect <em>Street Fighter</em> support when <em>Hyper Fighting</em> is set to hit Live Arcade sometime in the near future, but one can (vainly) hope.<br />
