However, we were able to import this new trailer just fine!<br /><br />We'll note that, in an unfortunate coincidence, the trailer begins with an animated sequence depicting a bomb going off.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/19/an-ace-attorney-5-special-edition-you-cant-have-and-a-trailer/">An Ace Attorney 5 special edition you can't have, and a trailer you can</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 19 Apr 2013 16:30:00 EST. In actuality, only production of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/22/neo-geo-x-limited-edition-throws-in-an-additional-game/">Neo Geo X Gold Limited Edition</a> model has ceased, which was always part of the plan. You know, it being a <em>Limited Edition</em> product and everything.<br /><br />"Tommo will be continuing to support the NEOGEO X format going forward with more games, peripherals and software updates, as well as more units of the console hardware," Tommo told Engadget. "The NEOGEO X Gold System Limited Edition Collection Series that includes <em>Ninja Masters</em>, was always planned to be a limited edition product."<br /><br />Further elaborations were not made concerning what said games and peripherals might be. Considering that the original Neo Geo AES didn't really <em>have</em> peripherals though, save for a memory card and an adapter that let the AES play arcade cabinet cartridges, we're curious about what Tommo might come up with.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/25/neo-geo-x-production-to-continue-more-games-peripherals-on-the/">Neo Geo X production to continue, more games/peripherals on the way</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 Jan 2013 10:30:00 EST. Well, this is like that, but for an Xbox 360.<br /><br />Launching in March, the official <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tomb-raider-2013"><em>Tomb Raider</em></a> Limited Edition Wireless Controller will cost $60 and come bundled with a code for exclusive character DLC; a hooded, goggled archer that can be seen in the video above. The controller itself features multiple layers of paint and <em>laser etching</em>, so not only does it look beat to hell but it'll feel that way too.<br /><br />As per usual with special edition Xbox 360 pads, it's also equipped with one of those nifty transforming D-pads, though whether the D-pad has been artificially aged like a too-expensive guitar replica is unknown.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/10/tomb-raider-360-controller-is-rough-tumble-rumbles/">Tomb Raider 360 controller is rough, tumble, rumbles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jan 2013 12:32:00 EST. Launch copies of the game will be packaged as a "Limited Edition," with bonus Ranger Mode DLC and a "Ranger" loadout packed in. In the previous game, Ranger Mode meant less ammo and more damage.<br /><br />Starting December 18, you'll be able to <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/12/14/metro-last-light-getting-ps3-pre-order-bonuses/">pre-order</a> the LE on PS3 through the PlayStation Network - which really calls its limitedness into question - and get a free copy of <em>Homefront</em> and a <em>Metro</em> PSN theme. That's <em>Metro: Last Light</em>, not "Metro" the Microsoft UI, of course.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/14/metro-last-light-launch-copies-include-ranger-mode-as-limited-e/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Metro Last Light launch copies include Ranger Mode as 'Limited Edition'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/14/metro-last-light-launch-copies-include-ranger-mode-as-limited-e/">Metro Last Light launch copies include Ranger Mode as 'Limited Edition'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 14 Dec 2012 10:35:00 EST. Boys traditionally don't give Valentines to girls, for instance; women are the primary gift-givers, and generally speaking giving anything other than chocolate is atypical.<br /><br />There's also two new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/lollipop-chainsaw"><em>Lollipop Chainsaw</em></a> special editions coming out exclusively in Japan this Valentine's Day, but that's less of a cultural difference and more of a marketing thing. The game's new "Premium Edition" will cost &yen;3,980 (about $48) and will include codes to unlock costumes and additional character voices.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the &yen;4,980 ($60ish) "Valentine Edition" includes a "Happy Valentine Disc," which contains a PC desktop Juliet clock, wallpapers and various gravure pictures of the game's official cosplay models. It also comes with a "Premium Movie Disc" full of trailers and cinematics, as well as a <em>Lollipop Chainsaw</em> manga and the Premium Edition's unlock codes.<br /><br />No word yet on a potential North American release of either version, but we <em>have</em> learned that the Japanese phrase "義理チョコ" (<em>giri-choko</em>) means "obligatory gift chocolate," which is probably more entertaining in the long run.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/06/lollipop-chainsaw-premium-and-valentine-editions-coming-to-j/">Lollipop Chainsaw 'Premium' and 'Valentine' editions coming to Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Dec 2012 20:30:00 EST. DICE and BioWare are selling a few museum-grade, limited edition prints via art dealership Cook &amp; Becker, available now.<br /><br />There are 50 copies of each print from <em>Mirror's Edge </em>and the Mass Effect series, though <em>Mirror's Edge</em> offers "large" editions of four prints, limited to 18 each. Every print, large or standard, is hand-numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.<br /><br />The large <em>Mirror's Edge</em> prints run, in inches, from 30 x 20 to 30 x 48, and cost $500 to $750. Standard prints of <em>Mirror's Edge</em> and Mass Effect scenes aren't much smaller and run $235 to $325, except for Mass Effect's <em>The Team</em>, which is $2,500, at 32 inches by 70 inches.<br /><br />Check out the <a href="http://www.candb.com/en/artcollectivegallery/16/dice.html"><em>Mirror's Edge</em></a> and <a href="http://www.candb.com/en/artcollectivegallery/13/bioware.html">Mass Effect</a> prints on Cook &amp; Becker for all your holiday shopping and/or selfish needs.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/29/mirrors-edge-mass-effect-limited-edition-art-prints-for-sale-n/">Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect limited edition art prints for sale now</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Nov 2012 13:30:00 EST. The &yen;9,980 <a href="http://www.konamistyle.jp/item/72055">Premium Package</a> comes with a special steelbook, a soundtrack, an artbook by art director Yoji Shinkawa, and a fun little figure of an enemy that can break into two pieces and stick together magnetically, so you can make it appear to be cut up as if by a sword.<br /><br />The &yen;12,980 Premium Package Konamistyle version throws in a Raiden figurine. You can stick his sword to his little foot! The <em>Yakuza 5</em> "Emblem Edition" (above) features gold emblems of the virtual crime families featured in the series around the edges of the 250GB system, and a gold controller to match, along with a special themed USB drive. It's due in Japan December 6.<br /><br />The <em>Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2</em> "Legend Edition" has character art in white along the periphery of the black system, with a controller that is supposed to feature a Big Dipper design, but which looks a lot like it's been pooped on by birds. It'll be released on December 20.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/02/yakuza-5-and-fist-of-the-north-star-inspire-interesting-ps3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Yakuza 5 and Fist of the North Star inspire ... interesting PS3 special editions</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/02/yakuza-5-and-fist-of-the-north-star-inspire-interesting-ps3/">Yakuza 5 and Fist of the North Star inspire ... interesting PS3 special editions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Oct 2012 09:45:00 EST. Pre-ordering <em>Need for Speed: Most Wanted</em> is the only way to get the limited edition, which unlocks the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and Porsche 911 Carrera S for early use in multiplayer, and gives players double speed points throughout their first four hours of multiplayer.<br /><br />Depending on where you pre-order <em>Need for Speed: Most Wanted</em>, you'll also get to choose between three different booster packs: speed, power or strike. The Speed pack grants players the Caterham Superlight R500, along with the Track Tyres and Lightweight Chassis mods for improved handling and top speed. The Power pack includes the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with Reinforced Chassis and Nitrous Dump mods for greater damage sustainability and for "making tight jumps and powered up takedowns." Finally, the Strike pack includes a Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series with Powertrain and Re-inflating Tyre mods for improved torque and acceleration, and greater ability to withstand rival takedown attempts.<br /><br />If you want to snag a limited edition copy of<em> Need for Speed: Most Wanted</em>, you'll need to pre-order by October 30.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/16/need-for-speed-most-wanted-limited-edition-and-pre-order-bonuse/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Need for Speed: Most Wanted limited edition and pre-order bonuses revealed</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/16/need-for-speed-most-wanted-limited-edition-and-pre-order-bonuse/">Need for Speed: Most Wanted limited edition and pre-order bonuses revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jul 2012 19:30:00 EST. As we originally heard, the bundle includes a remarkably fancy transparent <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/halo-4"><em>Halo 4</em></a>-themed 360 with blue lights and bespoke Halo sounds, two matching transparent controllers with matching blue lights, vouchers for both in-game and Avatar DLC, a headset and (of course) a copy of the game.<br /><br />What we didn't know, however, was that snazzy <em>Halo 4</em>-edition controllers, blue LEDs and all, will also be sold on their own at $59.99 a pop, starting Oct. 21. Both controller and console are available for your inspection in the gallery below.<br /><br />Update: The controllers sold separately differ in design from the controllers packaged with the bundle; the wording of this article has been updated for clarity.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/">Legendary Edition Xbox 360</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/#5153933"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/halo4controllerflowresjpgjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/#5153934"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/halo4controllerfob_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/#5153935"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/halo4controllerlhstiltlowresjpgjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/#5153936"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/halo4controllerside_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/legendary-edition-xbox-360/#5153937"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/xbox360halo4320gbconsolecananr_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/14/legendary-edition-halo-4-360-bundle-official-controllers-also-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Legendary Edition Halo 4 360 bundle official, limited edition controllers also detailed</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/14/legendary-edition-halo-4-360-bundle-official-controllers-also-s/">Legendary Edition Halo 4 360 bundle official, limited edition controllers also detailed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 14 Jul 2012 22:30:00 EST. While the parts used in the stick are not explicitly broken down, the fact that it's part of the manufacturer's Fightstick Pro line implies heavy usage of Sanwa Denshi buttons and sticks.<br /><br />For all intents and purposes, the limited edition joint appears to be a translucent purple version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/25/mad-catz-street-fighter-x-tekken-sticks-up-for-pre-order-at-160/">Mad Catz's <em>Street Fighter X Tekken</em> stick</a>, and at $159.99 it costs about the same as well. The company has announced the <em>Assassin's Creed 3</em> Limited Edition, which will retail for $119.99 and come with extra goods, including a huge 24" by 48" <em>Assassin's Creed</em>-inspired colonial American flag. Ubisoft sent a flag fitting this description to the press last week, and we've placed a picture of it after the break. (see update)<br /><br />There's also a 9.44" statue of new assassin Connor, and a metal belt buckle, presumably used for holding up your pants while carrying out cold-blooded murders. The Limited Edition is an exclusive to retailers in North America and Latin America, so Europeans are out of luck on this one.<br /><br />There's also a Digital Deluxe Edition available straight from Ubisoft for the PC. For $64.99 you'll get a notebook featuring "George Washington's true story" (we hope wooden teeth are involved), three extra single-player missions, two extra in-game outfits, and an Assassin's Creed soundtrack collection. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/">Assassin's Creed 3: Limited Edition</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/#5130903"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/ac3105lerenderconnor1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/#5130904"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/ac3105lerenderconnor2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/#5130905"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/ac3105lerenderconnor3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/#5130906"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/ac3105lerenderflag_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/assassins-creed-3-limited-edition-box-shots/#5130902"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/ac3105lerenderbeltbuckle_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> Ubisoft has confirmed that the flag in our picture below is <em>not</em> the flag available in the Limited Edition. <p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/02/assassins-creed-3-gets-limited-edition-in-north-america-with-c/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Assassin's Creed 3 gets Limited Edition in North America, with colonial flag, statue, and more</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/02/assassins-creed-3-gets-limited-edition-in-north-america-with-c/">Assassin's Creed 3 gets Limited Edition in North America, with colonial flag, statue, and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 02 Jul 2012 09:30:00 EST. IGN posted <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/27/nuketown-returns-as-black-ops-ii-pre-order-bonus">an image of a poster</a> supposedly from GameStop; another image from GAME shows <a href="http://mp1st.com/2012/06/27/report-black-ops-ii-getting-pre-order-bonus-nuketown-2025-multiplayer-map/">the same pre-order bonus</a>. Nuketown 2025 is apparently a remodeled version of the popular <em>Black Ops </em>map, Nuketown.<br /><br />Each image suggests there will be a "limited edition pack" of <em>Black Ops 2</em>, which we assume is akin to the first pressing limited edition runs we've seen for games like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/need-for-speed-hot-pursuit-limited-edition/"><em>Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/28/twisted-metal-includes-twisted-metal-black-download-code/"><em>Twisted Metal</em></a>. We've inquired with Activision and will update accordingly.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/28/rumor-nuketown-returns-in-black-ops-2-limited-release/">Rumor: Nuketown returns in Black Ops 2 'limited release'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Jun 2012 14:00:00 EST. The newly announced special edition comes with a clear 3DS case and a set of art cards that look like they can be slipped into said case, and five AR cards to unlock in-game Dream Eaters. All of this comes in a big box with a magnetic clasp.<br /><br />This edition shows one of the advantages of portable games: the limited edition boxes don't cost quite as much as those for console games.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/16/you-can-dream-drop-more-cash-for-a-mark-of-mastery-edition-of/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>You can Dream Drop more cash for a 'Mark of Mastery' edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/16/you-can-dream-drop-more-cash-for-a-mark-of-mastery-edition-of/">You can Dream Drop more cash for a 'Mark of Mastery' edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 May 2012 15:30:00 EST. It also includes early access to six multiplayer Specializations, which will only be released at launch in this package; they'll be "released over time" to the general audience.<br /><br />Other digital bonuses include an exclusive armor and weapon skin, an in-game emblem, and an Avatar prop. The LE also includes an "extended 90-minute version" of the <em>Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn</em> video series, extra featurettes, and making-of videos.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/16/halo-4-limited-edition-includes-multiplayer-map-dlc-videos/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Halo 4 Limited Edition includes multiplayer map DLC, videos</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/16/halo-4-limited-edition-includes-multiplayer-map-dlc-videos/">Halo 4 Limited Edition includes multiplayer map DLC, videos</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 May 2012 11:30:00 EST. The $80 package comes with a steelbook case and a statuette, and is available for both PS3 and Xbox 360 in "extremely limited" quantities.<br /><br />We'd like to see this partnership taken further. With this promotion in place, it's a perfect opportunity to add verisimilitude to the game through the inclusion of Future Shop stores that could sell extra batteries for all that tactical equipment. We've gotten our eyes on the limited edition <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/metal-gear-solid-3-snake-eater-3d"><em>Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater</em></a> 3DS once before, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/the-metal-gear-solid-snakeskin-3ds-is-not-to-be-eaten/">only a shallow glance</a> offered via Hideo Kojima's cell phone. Frankly, we wanted a better look, and now we've got it. Feast your eyes on that snakeskin embossed bad boy above! Hoo-ah!<br />
<br />
Unfortunately for us outside Japan, there won't be a lot of opportunity to actually purchase the unit. That kind of goes for the folks in Japan as well, as the only way to even have a chance to purchase the unit is by winning a raffle offered by Konami in February. The bundle will run &yen;22,980 ($298) for those lucky enough to grab one, and it'll come with the game itself, the fancy 3DS, a "snake-styled" 3DS, and two ... folders. Like, the kind you use in high school, except they have <em>MGS3</em> characters on them.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/20/metal-gear-solid-3ds-slithers-into-view-looks-snazzy/">Metal Gear Solid 3DS slithers into view, looks snazzy</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 Jan 2012 13:00:00 EST. Despite its subtitle, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/metal-gear-solid-3-snake-eater-3d">Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater</a> </em>should not encourage you to consume the snakeskin-embossed Nintendo 3DS coming out alongside the game in Japan. For starters, the device is a piece of electronics, and on top of that it's a rare, cool-looking <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/28/metal-gear-solid-3d-hardware-bundle-inflitrating-japan/">limited edition 3DS</a>.<br />
<br />
Konami has yet to give the 3DS a full reveal, but the above image was teased via <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/Kojima_Hideo/status/152285338352627712">Hideo Kojima's Twitter account</a>, like most things MGS these days. We'll keep an eye out for any other images slithering onto the internet before the game launches on March 8.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/the-metal-gear-solid-snakeskin-3ds-is-not-to-be-eaten/">The Metal Gear Solid snakeskin 3DS is not to be eaten</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Dec 2011 11:15:00 EST. You enter the quiet, overgrown cavern by pushing open the heavy stone door with all your might. Inside, sunlight streams through the broken ceiling, and dust that hasn't been disturbed in hundreds of years lazily floats through the air, shaken up by your entrance. The sunbeams land on the summit of a small set of stairs, where an ornate, red and gold chest sits, teasing and waiting for you to open it.<br />
<br />
You do. As you crack open the ancient treasury, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VRr9NG7RE0">a small fanfare plays</a>, starting quietly and then opening up into a triumphant series of simple notes, telling you that you have finally done it. The item you pull out of the centuries-old coffer is fine treasure indeed.<br />

<a href="http://www.the-king-of-games.com/english/shop/index.php?mode=catalog_list&amp;type=series&amp;series_id=50">It's a shirt</a>, adorned with some kind of legendary logo, a heart container tag, and the number "25" on the back. It's available in five sizes, for a special one-time only printing. Order now, before February 20, 2012, to get it sometime this May. You fold the shirt into your leather pack, and move on through the dungeon -- who knows what fearsome beast you might have to use this on, three different times, to defeat it?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/legend-of-zelda-25th-anniversary-shirt-is-a-real-treasure-for-a/">Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary shirt is a real treasure, for a limited time</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Dec 2011 01:15:00 EST. If you're absolutely certain you'll want <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/max-payne-3"><em>Max Payne 3</em></a> in a really bad way, and you're already financially and emotionally prepared to drop a Benjamin on it, has Rockstar got the deal for you! Between now and January 15, roughly two months before the game's March release window, you'll be able to order the Max Payne 3 Special Edition, "while supplies last."<br />
<br />
What will your $100 pre-buy you, besides the game itself? Ready? Here goes: A 10" tall Max Payne statue; "game-inspired Original Still Life Art Prints," for your art collection; a bullet-shaped keychain with screw-off back (for your drugs!); the obligatory multiplayer character pack, including Max Payne favorites like Mona Sax and Vladimir Lem; the similarly obligatory multiplayer weapons pack; and lastly, the game's original soundtrack.<br />
<br />
Curiously, this Special Edition really is special, in that it actually is limited ("while supplies last") and won't be available after release. If you want to wait, be warned that eBay scalpers are probably circling the waters already.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/max-payne-3-special-edition/">Max Payne 3 (Special Edition)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/max-payne-3-special-edition/#4627216"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/rsgmktmp3sexboxfob_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/max-payne-3-special-edition/#4627218"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/rsgmktmp3seps3fob_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/max-payne-3-special-edition/#4627220"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/rsgmktmp3sepcfob_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/max-payne-3-special-edition/#4627222"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/rsgmktmp3seannouncement_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/21/max-payne-3-gets-100-special-edition-pre-order-only-until-janu/">Max Payne 3 gets $100 Special Edition, pre-order only until January 15</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Nov 2011 12:12:00 EST. We've never personally felt the need for a 3DS that plays only European-format games ... until now. Nintendo of Europe announced an absolutely lovely <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d"><em>Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D </em></a>bundle, featuring some gold embellishments on the top, and gold accents to power icons and the 3D slider.<br />
<br />
The bundle also includes a copy of the game, with an exclusive double-sided sleeve -- which means that if you import the set, you'll have at least one properly region-coded game. It'll be released on November 25, exclusively in Europe ... unless Nintendo of America would like to make an announcement today (please?). <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/">The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS bundle)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/#4593347"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/zelda11801_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/#4593348"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/zelda11802_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/#4593349"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/zelda11803_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/#4593350"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/zelda11804_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-3ds-bundle/#4593351"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/zelda11805_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/08/europes-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3ds-is-a-magical-artifact/">Europe's Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS is a magical artifact</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 Nov 2011 10:26:00 EST. When I was young, I really liked <em>Jurassic Park</em>. Of the many, many JP toys I owned (I still have <a href="http://www.dinosaur-toys-collectors-guide.com/Rexford-Dinosaur-2010.html">one of these</a>), I remember one T-shirt in particular. On the front was a <em>sweet</em> raptor, and on the back was a map of Jurassic Park, including the locations of its dinosaurs. I spent weeks meticulously recreating said map, literally pixel by pixel, using Microsoft Paint - we didn't have <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/minecraft"><em>Minecraft</em></a> back then, and if we had, our computer wouldn't have been able to run it.<br />
<br />
And now Telltale goes and announces a <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-893">Deluxe Edition</a> of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/jurassic-park"><em>Jurassic Park: The Game</em></a> for Mac and PC. The package is a veritable cornucopia of Jurassic Park memorabilia, including an InGen ID badge and field guide, a Jurassic Park staff patch and, best of all, a replica brochure from the movie <em>including the map</em>. The package can be pre-ordered for $40.<br />
<br />
But the point I'm trying to make is that someone at Telltale has either been tailing me for 18 years or, in a far more likely scenario, they found a <em>Being John Malkovich</em> door into my head. Get out, Telltale. Get out of my head.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/27/telltale-opens-the-gates-on-jurassic-park-deluxe-edition/">Telltale opens the gates on Jurassic Park Deluxe Edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 27 Oct 2011 15:00:00 EST. An intrinsic, universal facet of human nature is that we as people consistently want what we can't have. It's deeply rooted in our species' collective subconscious, silently driving our passions for incredible, unobtainable <em>stuff</em>. The Japanese Club Nintendo has a healthy track record for producing some of the most amazingly unavailable swag in our industry's long, storied history of unavailable swag, but we think these new limited edition 3DSes rank in at number one on our "Most Impossible Dreams" list.<br />
<br />
The 3DSes, named "Peach," "Mario" and "Super Kinoko," natch, are being produced in limited numbers (1,000 each) for Nintendo's "A Little Mario-like 3DS" campaign. Japanese Club Nintendo members who register two games between now and January 15 will be automatically entered to win one of these adorable little 3DSes. Club members will also receive a free copy of the 3D Classics port of <em>Kid Icarus</em> upon entering. So! If you're a Japanese Club Nintendo member, we hope you can feel our burning envy through your monitor.<br />
<br />
Unless you win one, in which case we'd love to have you over for <strike>poison</strike> tea some time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/22/ultra-limited-edition-3dses-are-adorable-no-you-cant-have-one/">Ultra-limited edition 3DSes are adorable, no you can't have one</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 22 Oct 2011 21:30:00 EST. <br />
Hey, remember that amazing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/08/starcraft-2-wings-of-liberty-collectors-edition-announc/2"><em>StarCraft 2 </em>special edition</a>? You know, the huge one, with the full sized art book, and the USB drive with <em>Starcraft</em> and <em>Starcraft: Brood War</em>? And the <em>WoW</em> pet? Man, that was sweet.<br />
<br />
Well we hope you like <em>Diablo 3</em>, because, like, that's pretty much exactly what they're doing for the <em>Diablo 3</em> Limited Edition. Announced at today's Blizzcon press conference, the Limited edition will also come with a behind-the-scenes DVD. <em>Diablo 2</em> will be included in the box on a special USB drive (in a holder shaped like freaking<em> Diablo's skull</em>), and, for users who register their LE, an in-game mount for <em>WoW</em>, Tyrael's Charger. And don't forget that giant art book.<br />
<br />
So. Awesome.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/21/diablo-3-free-with-wow-annual-subscription-limited-edition-also/">Diablo 3 limited edition includes Diablo 2, Diablo skull USB drive</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Oct 2011 14:35:00 EST. With the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tekken-hybrid"><em>Tekken Hybrid</em></a> set, you get both a movie (<em>Tekken: Blood Vengeance</em>) and a game (<em>Tekken Tag Tournament HD</em>) along with other bonuses like <em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue</em>. If you feel uncomfortable about cramming all that content into a regular-size PS3 game case, you now have another option.<br />
<br />
On Twitter, Producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed the limited edition package for <em>Tekken Hybrid</em>, including the standard edition, an artbook, and the soundtrack, in a <em>much</em> bigger box. Harada specifies that "PSN contents" will also be included, and that the soundtrack consists of two discs. Official pricing details haven't been announced, but <a href="http://www.amazon.com/TEKKEN-Hybrid-Limited-sony-playstation3/dp/B005MOM96M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1317738950&amp;sr=8-1">Amazon</a> says $59.99, a $20 premium over the standard edition.<br />

The <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection"><em>Metal Gear Solid HD Collection</em></a> adds much fancier in-game visuals to what were once PS2 and PSP games. And now Konami is adding some cosmetic enhancements to the packaging, as well, at least for those willing to splash out a little more.<br />
<br />
The HD Collection will be available in a Limited Edition, with new box art by series artist Yoji Shinkawa and an exclusive art book. No pricing details have been announced -- but, then, no pricing details for the standard retail or downloadable versions have been announced either. So whatever the standard one costs, this one will cost a little more than <em>that</em>.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/">Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (Limited Edition)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/#4491859"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/mgshd93001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/#4491860"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/mgshd93002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/#4491862"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/mgshd93003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/#4491863"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/mgshd93004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/#4491865"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/mgshd93005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/30/collect-the-metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Collect the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Limited Edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/30/collect-the-metal-gear-solid-hd-collection-limited-edition/">Collect the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Limited Edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 Sep 2011 15:40:00 EST. Like buying games brand new? EA sure wants you to, as its "Limited Edition" of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/need-for-speed-the-run"><em>Need for Speed: The Run</em></a> incentivizes just such a purchase with the bonus inclusion of three fancy sports cars -- for the same price as the regular ol' "normal" edition, no less. Along with special access to a Porsche 911 Carrera S, a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and a Lamborghini Aventador, picking up the "Limited Edition" nets you "five exclusive Challenges" to slay with your high-powered sports car of choice.<br />
<br />
The only version of the Limited Edition that we can spot thus far is on EA's own Origin PC download store for the totally-normal-edition price of $49.99, so it stands to reason that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are similarly priced ($59.99 on consoles). Just to be sure, we've asked EA for a better idea of what to expect, price-wise, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/29/need-for-speed-the-run-detailed-racing-to-stores-nov-15/">come November</a>.<br />

<strong>Update:</strong> EA clarified that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will cost the standard $59.99, and the "Limited Edition" will operate similarly to the "Limited Edition" version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/battlefield-bad-company-2"><em>Battlefield: Bad Company 2</em></a>.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition/">Need for Speed: The Run (Limited Edition)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition/#4339006"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/limitededitionchezl1beauty_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition/#4339007"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/limitededitionlamaventodorbeauty_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition/#4339008"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/limitededitionlamaventadorchezl1racing1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition-comes-with-trio-of-super/">Need for Speed: The Run limited edition comes with trio of extra supercars</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Aug 2011 12:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/Forza-Motorsport-4"><em>Forza 4</em></a> now comes in <em>Limited Collector's Edition</em> flavor, or at least it will when the game launches <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/06/forza-4-sliding-into-retail-on-october-11/">this October</a>. The LCE boasts a 96-page photo book, no less than 4 bonus car packs, vinyl stickers, an exclusive BMW Dashboard theme, and "special recognition in the Forza community."<br />
<br />
As far as the cars go, the "VIP Pack" grants 5 of the world's fastest and least pronounceable cars, including the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Your garage will also come stocked with 10 of history's "best classic American muscle cars," although those vehicles have yet to be specifically named. You'll also land the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/27/first-copies-of-forza-4-include-five-extra-cars-pre-order-bonus/">previously announced</a> "Ship Bonus" pack, as well as an unknown number of customized BMW whips that will also be available as day-one DLC.<br />
<br />
<em>Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 Presented by Top Gear</em> is a 96-page gallery of <em>auto-</em>erotica, highlighting the game's many vehicles via images from Top Gear's "extensive" collection and color commentary from the publication's editors. This mirror's the game's Autovista mode, where Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson says (presumably) hilarious and British things about cars. No pricing information has been given, but we assume it'll probably still be cheaper than buying an actual Koenigsegg.<br />

Like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/battlefield-bad-company-2"><em>Battlefield: Bad Company 2</em></a> before it, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/battlefield-3"><em>Battlefield 3</em></a> will be arriving at retail in a regularly priced "Limited Edition," encouraging folks to pre-order the game before its planned fall launch. The UK will get the "Physical Warfare" version for the same price as the regular edition, which includes a small arsenal of weaponry, as well as access to the "Back to Karkand" multiplayer expansion -- four remade maps from <em>Battlefield 2</em>.<br />
<br />
As this edition has only been announced for the UK thus far, it can only be ordered from GAME and GameStation for now, running the standard &pound;39.99 on 360/PS3 and &pound;34.99 on PC. That said, when EA <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/24/battlefield-3s-back-to-karkland-pack-features-wake-island-thre/">initially confirmed</a> the "Back to Karkand" expansion, DICE community manager Daniel Matros noted that it would be available worldwide via an in-box code.<br />
<br />
In the meantime, peruse the full "Limited Edition" armory after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/23/battlefield-3-gets-physical-in-uk-with-limited-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Battlefield 3 gets 'physical' in UK with Limited Edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/23/battlefield-3-gets-physical-in-uk-with-limited-edition/">Battlefield 3 gets 'physical' in UK with Limited Edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 23 May 2011 11:25:00 EST. Listen, everyone -- your desk simply isn't <em>intimidating</em> enough. What you need, what you've got to have is an 11-inch statue of a muscle-bound future-marine. That's just one of the many, many bonuses include in the $150 Epic Edition of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/gears-of-war-3"><em>Gears of War 3</em></a>; a monstrous package that encapsulates the aforementioned statue; a 96-page book penned by Tom Bissell (author of "Extra Lives") about the art and design of the shooter; an "Octus Service Medal;" and everything else pictured above. (Is that Adam Fenix's will? It certainly is.)<br />
<br />
Shoppers will also have the option of purchasing the game's $80 Limited Edition, which includes the Service Medal, a COG flag, some Fenix family documents and an exclusive Adam Fenix multiplayer skin. No statue, though; so who's going to keep your mug full of pens from stepping out of line? Check out the full list of the extras in the Epic and Limited Editions -- as well as a video demonstration of that statue -- after the break!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/16/gears-of-war-3-limited-and-epic-edition-extras-revealed/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Gears of War 3 Limited and Epic Edition extras revealed</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/16/gears-of-war-3-limited-and-epic-edition-extras-revealed/">Gears of War 3 Limited and Epic Edition extras revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 May 2011 11:30:00 EST. Today on Amazon, you can get the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/22/halo-reach-special-editions-confirmed-including-150-legendar/">$150 Legendary Edition</a> of <em>Halo: Reach</em> for what the regular edition cost at launch: $60. That's like buying the game and getting a free Noble Team statue and in-game helmet! If you'd like to spend a bit less but still get something special, the Limited Edition is just $40. (The regular edition is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Reach-Xbox-360/dp/B002BSA20M/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1298563759&amp;sr=1-1">currently priced</a> at $32 and change.)<br />
<br />
Of course, these two sales constitute Amazon's <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_85826191_2?ie=UTF8&amp;docId=1000208101&amp;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_s=right-blog-0&amp;pf_rd_r=0ZR770WQCNJB03AVY3NT&amp;pf_rd_t=101&amp;pf_rd_p=1280001262&amp;pf_rd_i=409566">Deal of the Day</a> and will expire either at midnight Pacific (3AM ET) or when the retailer runs out of stock. And we've heard that this <em>Halo</em> stuff is pretty popular.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/24/halo-reach-legendary-edition-for-60-le-for-40-on-amazon-toda/">Halo: Reach Legendary Edition for $60, LE for $40 on Amazon today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 Feb 2011 11:20:00 EST. Amazon has been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/amazon,@deal">dropping deals</a> this week like it's trying to single-handedly stimulate the games industry. Today's "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Outlet/b?ie=UTF8&amp;node=409566&amp;ref_=amb_link_354548962_2">Prelude to Black Friday</a>" offering from the online retailer features several special edition games at deep discounts, including <em>Alan Wake: Limited Edition</em> for a mere $30 (down from $80) [<strong>update:</strong> it's sold out!]. That's the same price (a.k.a. 2400 Microsoft Points) the <em>standard</em> game will cost as a download when it arrives on Xbox Live's Games on Demand next Tuesday, November 23 (sans access to "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-signal/">The Signal</a>" DLC, which <em>is</em> included in the LE). <br />
<br />
<em>Halo: Reach - Legendary Edition</em> is also on sale, for a reasonable $75 (50-percent off), as the day's lightning deal, which expires at 5PM ET. Other all-day discounts on Amazon include the special edition bundles for <em>Dead Rising 2</em>, <em>Modern Warfare 2</em> and <em>Castlevania: Lords of Shadow</em>. Head past the break to peruse our galleries of some of these limited editions ... if you haven't deserted us for Amazon already!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/alan-wake-le-for-30-other-limited-edition-sales-on-amazon-toda/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Alan Wake LE for $30, other Limited Edition sales on Amazon today</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/alan-wake-le-for-30-other-limited-edition-sales-on-amazon-toda/">Alan Wake LE for $30, other Limited Edition sales on Amazon today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Nov 2010 13:20:00 EST. The retailer is offering a limited-edition version of High Voltage's Wii FPS (for the same $50 price as the regular edition) that includes an art book.
