A <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/d.a.r.y.l./blog/2009/03/19/age_of_booty__xbox_avatars_set_sail?num=5&amp;pg=1">recent forum post</a> by Capcom senior producer Daryl Allison hints that <em>something</em> to do with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Avatars/">Avatars</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/age-of-booty"><em>Age of Booty</em></a> will be revealed next Wednesday, March 25. The title of the post simply reads "<em>Age of Booty</em> - Xbox Avatars Set Sail." We're guessing this means that Capcom will be adding Avatar support to <em>Age of Booty</em>. Another possibility is that Avatars will receive some <em>Age of Booty</em> themed clothing. We're kind of hoping for the second possibility, because our Avatar is just <em>dying</em> for a peg leg.<br />
<br />
We've contacted the folks at Capcom in hopes that they might clear up this confusion. We'll update this post when we receive new information.<br />
<br />
[<strong>Update:</strong> As reader Johnathan points out, the Capcom post more than likely refers to the Avatar support that was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/22/age-of-booty-receiving-ps3-trophies-avatar-support-on-xbox-360/">announced in January</a>. Originally slated for a February release, it has yet to see the light of day. Bet your <em>booties</em> (get it?) that Avatar support will arrive next week.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/20/age-of-booty-gets-avatar-support-march-25-maybe/">Age of Booty gets Avatar support March 25 ... maybe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 Mar 2009 15:00:00 EST. As luck would have it, both games are actually pretty good. Two good games in one week? What have we done to deserve this? Of course, they aren't free -- they're 800<img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" alt="" /> each. Still, they're both worth at least trying. Check out the latest episode of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla-in-brief">XBLA in Brief</a> and see if either one is for you.<br />

Hot on the heels of the announcement of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/21/square-enixs-crystal-defenders-to-defend-live-arcade/"><em>Crystal Defenders</em></a> for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla">Xbox Live Arcade</a>, 1UP <a href="http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3172455">reveals</a> that Square Enix has still more planned for the download service. The next announced title will be <em>Yosumin Live</em>, a port of a Japanese puzzle game originally designed for the DS, which was first <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/02/square-enix-to-bring-yosumin-live-to-the-xbla/">rumored</a> -- and more or less confirmed -- early this month. The game requires players to connect blocks of the same color diagonally, thus eliminating all the blocks in between. The further apart the two original block, the bigger the score. If it sounds confusing, you can check out a video of the original after the break.<br /><br />It looks like Square Enix isn't stopping there, as 1UP reports that the press release announces that the company plans to release "a steady stream of its popular titles -- as well as original content" on XBLA in the future. Exactly what these titles will be remains to be seen. It's possible Square Enix will draw from its catalog of mobile games or, dare we dream, even its catalog of RPGs.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/square-enix-prepares-steady-stream-of-titles-for-xbla/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Square Enix prepares "steady stream" of titles for XBLA</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/square-enix-prepares-steady-stream-of-titles-for-xbla/">Square Enix prepares "steady stream" of titles for XBLA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Jan 2009 18:30:00 EST. We once <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/11/xbla-in-brief-frogger-2-and-commando-3/">speculated that <em>Frogger 2</em> began life as a mobile phone game</a>, but now it looks like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">XBLA</a> is getting one for real. <em>Famitsu</em> (via IGN) <a href="http://wii.ign.com/articles/946/946735p1.html?RSSwhen2009-01-21_055300&amp;RSSid=946735">reports</a> that the Square Enix mobile game <em>Crystal Defenders</em> is headed to Xbox Live Arcade, the PSN and WiiWare. For those not familiar with the game, its a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_defence">tower defense</a> title that first saw release on mobile phones and the iPod (check out a trailer <a href="http://www.crystaldefenders.jp/na/trailers.html">here</a>). Though the article is apparently unclear, it seems that the XBLA and PSN versions are different from the WiiWare version as the magazine refers to them as "evolved ports" of the original.<br /><br />Details on the release date and price have not yet been announced. As XBLA currently lacks any sort of real time strategy -- though there is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/13/commanders-and-discs-of-tron-hit-xbla/">a decent turn based game</a> -- we'll be keepying our eye on <em>Crystal Defenders</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/21/square-enixs-crystal-defenders-to-defend-live-arcade/">Square Enix's Crystal Defenders to defend Live Arcade</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 21 Jan 2009 17:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ssfiithdr"><em>Super Street Fighter II HD Remix</em></a>, according to associate product manager John Diamonon, has <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/johndmoney/blog/2008/12/18/super_street_fighter_ii_turbo_hd_remix_achieves_record_breaking_sales">sold in excess of 250,000 copies</a> and is "on its way to becoming the highest grossing digital title ever." Diamonon states that the game has already broken both day one and week one records -- the game debuted November 25 and 26 on PSN and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">XBLA</a>, respectively -- and he adds that the game is likely to best the 30 day record as well. Sega has officially announced that it is bringing <em>Outrun Arcade Online</em> to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla/">Xbox Live Arcade</a>. The game is being developed by Sumo Digital, the team responsible for the recent <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbx/outrun2006coast2coast?q=outrun"><em>Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast</em></a> (on which <em>Outrun Arcade Online</em> appears to be based). It will be enhanced to include high definition graphics and will feature online play for up to six players. <em>Outrun Arcade Online</em> includes 10 different Ferrari cars and 15 different tracks on which to race them. And, of course, it wouldn't be <em>Outrun</em> without the music ... and the hot girl in the passenger seat. The game is expected to drop in early 2009. Check out the first screens in the gallery below and the debut trailer after the break.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/18/sega-announces-outrun-arcade-online-for-early-2009/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sega announces Outrun Arcade Online for early 2009</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/18/sega-announces-outrun-arcade-online-for-early-2009/">Sega announces Outrun Arcade Online for early 2009</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 18 Dec 2008 12:30:00 EST. As you've no doubt heard by now, <em>Dash of Destruction</em> is available for free on Xbox Live Arcade. The reason: it's a sponsored game that was primarily created to help sell Doritos. No seriously, you can see the word Doritos right there on the title screen. So, how does <em>Dash of Destruction</em> stack up to that <em>other</em> free advertising game on XBLA? On the one hand we have a new version of the formerly DS exclusive (and well received) puzzle game <em>Meteos Wars</em>. On the other, we have a new multi-directional shooter by the name of <em>PowerUp Forever</em>. Find out if either one is for you by watching the latest episode of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla-in-brief">XBLA in Brief</a> above. We also have a brand new feature this week. Below you will find the Xbox Live Marketplace links to the trial versions of each game. So, if you decide you'd like to give one of them a go on your Xbox 360, you can queue it up for download without even leaving your computer. How sweet is that? (Answer: totally flipping sweet).<br /><br /><a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025841091c/?p=1&amp;of=1&amp;sb=1#offers">Download <em>Meteos Wars</em> trial game from Xbox Live Marketplace</a><br /><br /><a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258410934/?p=1&amp;of=1&amp;sb=1#offers">Download <em>PowerUp Forever</em> trial game from Xbox Live Marketplace</a><br /><br />[<a href="itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/x3ftv">iTunes</a>] Subscribe to X3F TV directly in iTunes.<br />[<a href="zune://subscribe/?Xbox%20360%20Fanboy=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.feedburner.com%2Fx3ftv">Zune</a>] Subscribe to the X3F TV directly (Zune Marketplace link coming soon).<br />[<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/x3ftv">RSS</a>] Add the X3F TV feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.<br />[<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/podcasts/x3ftv-xblabrief-meteos.m4v">M4V</a>] Download the M4V directly.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/10/x3f-tv-xbla-in-brief-meteos-wars-powerup-forever/">X3F TV: XBLA in Brief: Meteos Wars: PowerUp Forever</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 Dec 2008 18:15:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla">Xbox Live Arcade</a> Wednesday is upon us, and that means it's time for some new games. This week, we're treated to the Q? Entertainment puzzler <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/meteos"><em>Meteos Wars</em></a> and multi-directional shooter <em>PowerUp Forever</em> from Namco Bandai. The former has made a long journey all the way from the Nintendo DS and the latter ... has power-ups. Should you desire, you can pick them both up for 800 Microsoft Points. These are the only new releases on the Xbox 360 this week, so if you just <em>have</em> to have a new game, they're your only choice.<br /><br /><a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025841091c/?p=1&amp;of=1&amp;sb=1#offers">Download <em>Meteos Wars</em> trial game from Xbox Live Marketplace</a><br /><br /><a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258410934/?p=1&amp;of=1&amp;sb=1#offers">Download <em>PowerUp Forever</em> trial game from Xbox Live Marketplace</a><br /><br />

Looks like the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/06/rumor-meteos-wars-and-powerup-forever-xbla-bound-next-week/">rumor</a> was true, as both <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/m/meteoswarsxboxlivearcade/"><em>Meteos Wars</em></a> and <a href="http://www.namcobandaigames.com/games/powerupforever/"><em>PowerUp Forever</em></a> are officially heading to Xbox Live Arcade this week. <em>Meteos Wars</em> is an XBLA version of the Q Entertainment puzzler title with expanded multiplayer (including Xbox Live play), while <em>PowerUp Forever</em> is a shooter from Blitz (the folks behind <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/26/spongebob-underpants-slam-slams-xbla/"><em>SpongeBob Squarepants Underpants Slam</em></a>) and published by Namco Bandai. <em>PowerUp Forever</em> features procedurally generated environments, a unique "growth mechanic" (whatever that is) and, get this, power-ups.<br /><br />Both <em>PowerUp Forever</em> and <em>Meteos Wars</em> will be available this Wednesday for 800 points each.<br /><br />

Microsoft has announced a special deal for the holidays. In addition to the XBLM Deal of the Week -- the Legendary Map Pack is still <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/01/xblm-holiday-deal-of-the-week-legendary-map-pack-for-400-points/">on sale</a> for Gold members, by the way -- Microsoft is also running the <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2008/12/04/562615.aspx">Friendship is Free promotion</a>. Until the end of December, a select group of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla/">Xbox Live Arcade</a> games will not require a Gold membership for online play. In other words, Silver members will be able to try online play in these games for free. The Friendship is Free promotion is active right now for the following Xbox Live Arcade games:<br />

If you've been playing (deep breath) <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ssfiithdr"><em>Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix</em></a> lately, chances are you've been positively <em>rocking out</em> to the revamped soundtrack. As it turns out, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Capcom/">Capcom</a> actually partnered with <a href="http://ocremix.org">Overclocked Remix</a>, a website that specializes in remixing game music, to create the soundtrack for <em>SSFIITHDR</em>. Gamers from all over the planet supplied the tracks for the soundtrack, and now OC Remix is <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/s-kill/blog/2008/12/03/complete_sf_hd_remix_soundtrack_free_from_ocremix">giving away the entire soundtrack</a> for free. That's precisely <em>zero</em> dollars. The soundtrack is being offered both as a full album download and as individual MP3s of each track. So, head over to OC Remix and get yourself some free music.<br /><br /><em>Note: As of this writing, we've had trouble getting the OC Remix site to load.</em><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/s-kill/blog/2008/12/03/complete_sf_hd_remix_soundtrack_free_from_ocremix">Capcom-Unity</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/04/free-sfii-hd-remix-soundtrack-get/">Free SFII HD Remix soundtrack get!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 04 Dec 2008 12:30:00 EST. A <em>bear</em>? Teamed up with a <em>bird</em>? It sounds insane, we know. Somehow, though, somehow it works. Joining a bear with a bird seemingly creates the perfect platforming duo. Honestly though, is any stranger than an Italian plumber taking out his wrath on sadistic, sentient mushrooms? Now a bear <em>riding</em> a plumber, <em>that</em> would be weird. Still, we've pledged ourselves to provide this service and, dang it, that's what we intend to do. After its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/14/capcoms-four-new-xbla-titles/">official announcement well over a year ago</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ssfiithdr"><em>Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix</em></a> is finally landing on Xbox Live Arcade. For the always controversial price of 1200 Microsoft Points, you get a completely redrawn cast of characters and a while slew of reworked backgrounds. Let's not forget the game comes with some revamped tunes as well. Oh, and of course there's the (reportedly) improved netcode too, which will hopefully smooth out those online wrinkles.<br /><br />Go <a href="http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802584108a4/">get the trial game</a> and tell us what you think. Was it worth the wait? For that matter, is it worth the scratch? Basically, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/12/street-fighter-ii-hd-best-trailer-ever/">is it the best around</a>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/26/super-street-fighter-ii-turbo-hd-remix-dragon-punches-xbla/">Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix dragon punches XBLA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 26 Nov 2008 09:45:00 EST. After no announcement earlier this week and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/worms-umk3-feeding-frenzy-now-on-xbla-hits-page/">discovery of three new titles</a> on the <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/arcadehits/default.htm">Arcade Hits page</a> on Xbox.com, we were fairly certain there would be no new Xbox Live Arcade title this week. After checking the Marketplace this morning, our suspicions have been confirmed. There is no new title, but <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/worms"><em>Worms</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/feeding-frenzy"><em>Feeding Frenzy</em></a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/umk3"><em>Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3</em></a> have all had their prices slashed to 400 Microsoft Points. So, we've got a hardcore fighter, a casual fish eating simulator and one of the best party games around all for only five bucks each. It's not new, but it's not bad if you've ever thought about picking one of these up.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/12/three-xbla-titles-get-prices-reduced/">Three XBLA titles get prices reduced</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 12 Nov 2008 10:15:00 EST. We spoke with Ninjabee following the announcement and now we have some exclusive new screens and a <a href="http://www.viddler.com/explore/X3F-TV/videos/105/">new trailer</a> showcasing Avatars in <em>A Kingdom for Keflings</em>. Whether you decide to help your Keflings construct their village or just punt them like footballs is up to you. Somehow, we imagine the former is more likely to get your Keflings to dance at your feet, though. Check out the new trailer embedded above and the new screens in the gallery below.<br /><br />Also, Ninjabee's logo, the ninja bee, needs his own game. <div align="left"><strong>Update:</strong> Yup. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/12/three-xbla-titles-get-prices-reduced/">No new game on XBLA this week</a>. These new Arcade Hits are all we get.</div>
<br /></div>
Microsoft has yet to make any official announcements, but it looks like some new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla-hits">Xbox Live Arcade Hits</a> are headed to our favorite download service. Three new titles have appeared on the official <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/arcadehits/default.htm">Xbox.com Arcade Hits page</a>: <em>Feeding Frenzy, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3</em>, and <em>Worms</em>. All of them are listed at a new price of 400 Microsoft Points ($5), half of their original 800 Point price. We checked <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbox-live-marketplace">Xbox Live Marketplace</a> and all three titles are still listed at their original price, so right now all we're really waiting for is an announcement from Microsoft. Given that Wednesday is the day that Xbox Live Arcade announcements are made, we wouldn't be suprirsed if these new discounts are announced today or tomorrow. We'll update this post when we have new information.<br /><br />After all, <em>Worms</em> + Friends = Party.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/worms-umk3-feeding-frenzy-now-on-xbla-hits-page/">Worms, UMK3, Feeding Frenzy now on XBLA Hits page [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Nov 2008 11:15:00 EST. After <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/14/talisman-quietly-canceled/">quietly canceling</a> the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">XBLA</a> version of <em>Talisman</em> way back in August, GiantRealm has posted an article detailing <a href="http://giantrealm.gameriot.com/gaming/talisman-what-went-wrong">what went wrong</a> with the game's development. Adam Boyes, Director of Production at Capcom Entertainment, explains that the problem arose late in development, when the team realized some early decisions weren't panning out. Boyes said the team realized that many gamers wouldn't be wiling to sit down for a 3-5 hour online game and, because the game is turn based, players would literally be doing nothing 80% of the time in a 6 player game. Of course, if you're stuck in a game where no one is using a headset, things get even worse.<br /><br />Unfortunately, by the time these problems were recognized, the team didn't have enough time or money to fix them. We all know the rest. Still, Boyes says that a <em>Talisman</em> game "will be made" and that Capcom will be more than willing to share its lessons with the creators.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/05/capcom-finally-ready-to-talk-talisman-cancellation/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/07/capcom-on-talisman-cancellation/">Capcom on Talisman cancellation</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 07 Nov 2008 13:45:00 EST. <div align="left"> Gamerscore Blog has <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2008/11/06/562254.aspx">announced</a> that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/kingdom-for-keflings"><em>A Kingdom for Keflings</em></a>, the upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">XBLA</a> game from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/NinjaBee/">NinjaBee</a>, will be available on November 19, the same day as the release of the New Xbox Experience. More importantly, GSB has announced something about as surprising as something that isn't surprising at all: Avatars can be used as playable characters in the game. You may recall that the game was shown though not mentioned in a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/31/video-in-game-avatar-use-explained/">recent video about Avatars</a>. In the game, players can use their Avatar as the giant character, ordering their Keflings around and building their city. As you can see in the screen above, up to four players can play in the same game. The announcement also adds that <em>A Kingdom for Keflings</em> "works perfectly" with the NXE's party system. We hope party experience is a bit more seamless than it is with older 360 games.<em><br /><br />A Kingdom for Keflings</em> will launch on November 19 for 800 Microsoft Points.</div>

Specifically, we're talking about the ability to download all <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla/">Xbox Live Arcade</a> games automatically. We're not sure how many people actually use the feature, but for those that like to at least try every XBLA game (or those that started a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbla">weekly video series about XBLA</a>), it was pretty handy. When MTV's Stephen Totilo asked Microsoft's John Schappert about the removal of the feature, Schappert replied, "You actually use that?"<br /></div>
<br />While the reason why the feature has gone missing remains a mystery, Totilo was told "it may come back in a future release." We'll just have to wait an see. Get your own hands on the otherwise feature-packed NXE when it debuts next month.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/29/no-automatic-xbla-downloads-for-the-nxe/">No automatic XBLA downloads for the NXE</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Oct 2008 17:10:00 EST.
