For some, we're sure this mistake will be at worst a slight deterrent to purchase. For others, what was once a reasonably interesting 3DS item now seems like a fascinating rare collectible.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: A Capcom representative offered us the following statement: "The initial shipment of <em>Resident Evil Revelations</em> had been sent to retailers in North America with the spelling error. Subsequent shipments of the title are being repackaged and will have the corrected spelling. Customers who have been affected by the misspelling on the <em>Resident Evil Revelations</em> packaging can contact Capcom Customer Service at 650-350-6700 or accounts@capcom.com and a new insert for the front of box will be sent." So, like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/24/capcom-fixes-the-okami-boxart-goof-awesomely/">the previous <em>Okami<em> </em></em>snafu</a>, Capcom will offer replacement packaging to any who want it.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/03/resident-evil-revelaitons-misprint-makes-it-to-retail/">Resident Evil 'Revelaitons' misprint makes it to retail [Update: Capcom offers statement, replacement]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Feb 2012 18:30:00 EST. We're big fans of proofreading around here, particularly when it comes to things that could start <em>nasty, heartbreaking rumors</em>. The above sales flyer from J&amp;R Music/Computer World, captured by Go Nintendo reader Iamsonny, illustrates the need for a good <em>copyeditor</em>. It's the holidays, guys. Don't get our little hearts racing with promises of hard drives in our Wiis. That's just <em>wrong</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/24/flyer-misprint-makes-us-cry/">Flyer misprint makes us cry</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 24 Dec 2007 18:00:00 EST. This has to be the shoddiest game poster ever -- it's just packed with incorrect info. Sure, there's a DS <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/12/ds-daily-card-based-rpg-or-minigame-collection/">version</a> of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/11/assassins-creed-confirmed-for-ds-release-in-february/"><em>Assassin's Creed</em> </a>coming, eventually, but is it out now? No. But what's worse, as well as being a horrible, horrible tease, is that the poster also declares a Wii version. We're sure that Ubisoft is as surprised as we are, since the Wii is ... what was it? Oh, yes, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/19/wii-too-casual-for-assassins-creed/">only for casual games</a></em>, regardless of those hours you've put into games like <em>Metroid Prime 3</em> and <em>Super Mario Galaxy</em>, and the future hours you'll pour into games like <em>No More Heroes</em>.<br /><br />But who knows -- maybe this is a portent of things to come. We'll keep our ears to the ground just in case someone decides to attempt to port <em>Assassin's Creed</em> over. After all, we need more ports.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/26/assassins-creed-where/">Assassin's Creed where?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Nov 2007 17:00:00 EST.
