If you've heard that the new 3DS <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/shinobi-3ds"><em>Shinobi</em></a> game feels exactly like the original -- or any <em>Shinobi</em> game to date -- you've heard wrong. Even though it's published by Sega and it's about a ninja, Griptonite's new <em>Shinobi</em> is definitely a modern action game. It does take some inspiration from the series, which makes it recognizable as a descendant of those games, but it's more reimagining than remake.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/">Shinobi 3DS (E3 2011)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/#4211158"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/06/23109shinobiannouncement-screen01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/#4211159"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/06/23110shinobiannouncement-screen02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/#4211160"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/06/23111shinobiannouncement-screen03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/#4211161"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/06/23112shinobiannouncement-screen04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/shinobi-3ds-e3-2011/#4211162"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/06/23113shinobiannouncement-screen05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/16/shinobi-preview/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Shinobi preview: The re-revenge of Shinobi</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/16/shinobi-preview/">Shinobi preview: The re-revenge of Shinobi</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 Jun 2011 20:10:00 EST. Wondering what the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/05/ninja-gaiden-crosses-over-into-zen-pinball/">official <em>Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2</em></a> table for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/zen-pinball">ZEN Pinball</a></em> looks like in motion? Wonder no more -- the video above will show you all of the Hayabusa-style bumper action you'll be able to find, complete with ramps, flashing lights, ninja spirits and... burning pagodas? Boy, those ZEN folks aren't really pinball traditionalists, are they? But it does look fun.<br />
<br />
The table will bring new gameplay modes and missions along with it to the PlayStation Store on Thursday, January 14, for $2.49 (&euro;1.99). Of course, it's DLC for the original <em>ZEN Pinball</em> game, so you've got to have that, too. Wait, we just rewatched it -- did Ryu just slice the ball in half? That's pretty awesome!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/13/zen-pinballs-ninja-gaiden-table-trailer-slices-and-dices/">ZEN Pinball's Ninja Gaiden table trailer slices and dices</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 13 Jan 2010 20:15:00 EST. Listen, it's scientific fact that as ninjas shed their clothes, they become better at executing their ninja duties. So, if you see us purchase the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-gaiden-sigma-2"><em>Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2</em></a> costume pack, which was <a href="http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2009/11/13/ninja_gaiden_sigma_2_costumes">released on the PlayStation Store yesterday</a> for $3.99, it's not because we're pervs or anything. It's because the skimpy outfits you see above were meticulously engineered to maximize our capacity for flipping out and killing people.<br />
<br />
Also, we realize Ryu's new costume (which was previously handed out as a pre-order bonus) isn't more revealing than his standard duds. See, the above rule only applies to <em>female</em> ninjas. Hey, don't look at us like that. We didn't write the ninja rulebook, okay?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/13/first-ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-dlc-released-revealing/">First Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 DLC released, revealing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Nov 2009 12:45:00 EST. Just when you thought the PlayStation news was about to stop and let bloggers go to sleep, Titan Studios shows off this image on their <a href="http://titanstudios.com/blog/2009/08/check-it/">blog</a>. We're not rocket scientists (we told you, we're bloggers), but we're pretty certain a new class is going to be introduced into the <em>Fat Princess</em> world, sparking a whole new "princess versus ninja" meme in the process.<br /><br />[Thanks, Pobthiti!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/18/titan-teases-fat-princess-ninjas/">Titan teases Fat Princess ... ninjas!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Aug 2009 23:00:00 EST. If there's one thing ninjas love more than totally sweet acts of acrobatic violence, it's -- no, wait. There's nothing they love more than totally sweet acts of acrobatic violence. However, high up on the list, sandwiched between guitar solos and dead pirates, is <em>competition</em>. Fortunately, it seems <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-gaiden-sigma-2"><em>Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2</em></a> will possess this quality in spades -- <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/08/11/ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-%E2%80%93-chapter-challenge-mode-ninja-records-and-more/">a recent Playstation.Blog update</a> revealed the game's two new competitive modes, titled Chapter Challenge and Ninja Records.<br /><br />Chapter Challenge is unlocked once you finish the single-player campaign, and allows you to replay your favorite levels, ultimately measuring your final "Karma" score against other players on a global leaderboard. Ninja Records will supply an exhaustive list of statistics based on your play style -- highest score, largest combo, fastest time, number of sweet guitar solos -- <em>that </em>sort of thing.<br /><br />In addition, the post reveals the design for the GameStop pre-order bonus costume, the addition of a soundtrack to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/10/gamestop-getting-exclusive-ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-edition/">the game's limited edition</a>, and the second Japanese advertisement for the game, which we've posted after the jump. Sorry to disappoint, but it doesn't contain any <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/10/gamestop-getting-exclusive-ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-edition/">plaster lady chests</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/11/ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-includes-chapter-challenge-ninja-records-m/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 includes Chapter Challenge, Ninja Records modes</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/11/ninja-gaiden-sigma-2-includes-chapter-challenge-ninja-records-m/">Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 includes Chapter Challenge, Ninja Records modes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Aug 2009 14:30:00 EST. If you previously missed the chance to check out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/oreike"><em>Oreike's</em></a> highly stylized gameplay, then you'd best check it out right here, right now. It's got substance and style, and looks to be a refreshing change of pace from the usual fare found on the PSP. For the uninitiated,<em> Oreike</em> blends ninja combat with shadow puzzles for what appears to be quite a unique gameplay experience. Watch it in action in the clip above.<br /><br />After the break, check out the game's intro video. There's not much action going on, but it hints at the different locales that can be visited in the game. Plus, it's got some awesome music to listen to.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/20/ninjas-have-never-been-this-good-on-psp/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ninjas have never been this good on PSP</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/20/ninjas-have-never-been-this-good-on-psp/">Ninjas have never been this good on PSP</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 20 May 2009 16:30:00 EST. <em>Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke</em> (or <em>Oreike</em> for short, as noted by <a href="http://www.psphyper.com/psp/oreike-new-website-new-videos-multiplayer-details/">PSP Hyper</a>) is a new puzzle/action title about ninjas. The most captivating aspect about this new game is its interesting spin on the puzzle genre, where it utilizes shadows, or multiple copies of a player's avatar, to advance through stages. It's a concept that's borrowed from the flash game <a href="http://www.nekogames.jp/mt/2008/01/cursor10.html"><em>Cursor*10</em></a> and one that is better understood by watching the two clips posted after the break.<br /><br />Developer From Software presents <em>Oreike</em> with a distinct and colorful Japanese art style, and also with staple co-op/competitive ad-hoc multiplayer modes. The game hits Japan on June 11 for &yen;3,990 ($39.58), and will hopefully hit North America too. It's looking good and we need more ninja action on PSP. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/n"><span style="font-style: italic;">N+</span></a> wasn't enough! <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.psphyper.com/psp/oreike-new-website-new-videos-multiplayer-details/">PSP Hyper</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/07/see-new-ninja-puzzle-game-oreike-in-action/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>See new ninja puzzle game Oreike in action</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/07/see-new-ninja-puzzle-game-oreike-in-action/">See new ninja puzzle game Oreike in action</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 Apr 2009 14:00:00 EST. Have early morning classes? Imagine how much cooler they'd be with ninjas. Having a boring lunch? A ninja could kill your lunch <em>right in front of you</em>. This new PSP puzzle game from From Software also spices up the genre with these cloaked warriors.<br /><br />In <em>Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke</em>, players create shadow clones in order to solve puzzles. How does it work? Watch the video and find out. It starts off rather simply, with a lone ninja pulling a switch. However, the switch activates something that needs attention at the same time. The ninja's shadow clone replicates the actions of the first action, giving the second ninja time to act. But then, what if three things need to be done? Or four? That's where things get interesting, folks.<br /><br />While many PSP games fail to see an international release, we're confident a publisher will pick up this rather intriguing game.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/30/new-psp-puzzle-game-features-ninjas/">New PSP puzzle game features ... Namco Bandai, er ... we mean <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/04/namco-bandai-forms-surge-label-targets-western-gamers/">Surge</a> rented out the Geisha House in Hollywood last night in order to throw a party for the launch of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/afro-samurai"><span style="font-style: italic;">Afro Samurai</span></a>, and Joystiq tagged along to check things out. The best thing about the night? Plenty of stations to play the game on both PS3s and Xbox 360s. Sadly, the sound was so loud in the place that you couldn't hear the hacking and slashing from the samurai with the gigantic hairdo. <br /><br />Also puzzling was the fact that Samuel L. Jackson was listed as a co-host of this party and was a no show. That was a real surprise, since he provides both the voices of Afro Samurai and his sidekick Ninja Ninja and is a co-producer of the series. Either he didn't show at all, or he really does have ninja-esque skills and we just missed him. <strong>Update</strong>: he actually did show up, we just <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/1326444/full/">missed him</a>. Plus he was dressed for freezing weather.<br /><br />Check out the gallery below, and highlights after the break including a video performance by an afro-bedecked The RZA, who provides music both on the show and in the game.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/">Afro Samurai Launch in Los Angeles</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/#1326444"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/slj2a_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/#1322338"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/afrosamalaunch21_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/#1322337"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/afrosamalaunch17_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/#1322336"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/afrosamalaunch16_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/afro-samurai-launch-in-los-angeles/#1322335"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/afrosamalaunch19_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/29/joystiq-visits-the-afro-samurai-launch-party-in-los-angeles/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq visits: The Afro Samurai launch party in Los Angeles</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/29/joystiq-visits-the-afro-samurai-launch-party-in-los-angeles/">Joystiq visits: The Afro Samurai launch party in Los Angeles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Jan 2009 00:00:00 EST. A new video for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchu-4">that <em>Tenchu</em> game</a> has hit the nets and it <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/13/rikimarus-turn-to-impress-in-tenchu-shadow-assassins/">again focuses on Rikimaru</a>. Instead of being boring cutscenes, however, this latest trailer gets down to what we really want to see: a badass ninja killing dudes. IGN has uploaded a whole bunch of new videos from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/tenchu-iv-being-published-by-ubisoft/">the Ubisoft-published</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchu-4"><em>Tenchu 4</em></a>. While they're lacking in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/23/tenchu-iv-to-feature-kittens-might-be-the-best-game-ever/">ninja cats</a>, they aren't lacking in depicting the other stuff that excites us about the game: stealth ,slaughter, and <a href="http://www.realultimatepower.net/">REAL ULTIMATE POWER</a>. As much as this game could be <em>bad</em>, we're holding out hope it'll be like the <em>Tenchu </em>of old. Or, you know, <em>fun</em>. It's currently <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/23/tenchu-4-sneaks-onto-north-american-and-european-rooftops-in-ear/">set to release</a> in North America and Europe early next year.<br /><br />Sneak past the break to check out the videos.<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/24/tenchu-4-videos-are-a-neck-snapping-good-time/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tenchu 4 videos are a neck-snapping good time</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/24/tenchu-4-videos-are-a-neck-snapping-good-time/">Tenchu 4 videos are a neck-snapping good time</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 24 Oct 2008 16:18:00 EST. Call us optimists or whatever, but we really thing the game can be a solid Wii title. For one, it's <span style="font-style: italic;">Tenchu</span> and our fond memories of the early games keeps us hoping that the franchise will return to its roots again. Secondly, there isn't much in the way of compelling stealth-based games on the console, so a solid entry in the genre would benefit the library of games, in our eyes. Plus, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/23/tenchu-iv-to-feature-kittens-might-be-the-best-game-ever/">it has kittens</a>.<br /> <br /> Above, you'll see the first video of three that takes you through the entire demo build available at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tgs08">TGS 2008</a>. When it was announced that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/19/marvelous-oboro-muramasa-youtouden-announced-for-us/"><em>Oboro Muramasa Youtouden</em></a> was headed to North America (under the name<em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/muramasa-the-demon-blade/">Muramasa: Demon Blade</a>)</em>, we got all kinds of excited. Not only does the game have <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/06/muramasa-the-awesome-screens/">a wonderful style all its own</a>, it also looks like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/02/wii-fanboy-review-wario-land-shake-it/">a great 2D experience</a> in a world crowded with 3D games. During a recent interview with 1UP, the game's director Jyouji Kamitani answered questions dealing with the origins of the game, the motion controls players can expect and the playable build that will be available during the upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tgs08">Tokyo Game Show</a>.<br /><br />Hit up <a href="http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3170405">this link</a> to read the full interview.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/08/director-talks-up-muramasa-demon-blade/">Director talks up Muramasa: Demon Blade</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 08 Oct 2008 18:16:00 EST. "The main character is, as you can see, a ninja." <br /> <br /> We were quite pleased to have figured this part out on our own, shortly before From Software's Kazuhiro Hamatani laid down the pertinent facts in a pre-Tokyo Game Show presentation of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-blade"><em>Ninja Blade</em></a>. Which, as you can see, is a "cinematic action game." For better or worse -- and it's better if <em>Ninja Gaiden II</em> failed to satisfy your unhealthy hankering for third-person kill-em-ups -- <em>Ninja Blade</em> appears to be almost exactly what you'd expect. We're not proponents of judging a game by its cover, but in this case, we're almost able to peer through to the back of the box and recite the bullet points:<br />
<ul>
    <li> Cinematic Action Game (i.e. quick time events)!</li>
    <li>Ninjas (i.e. running on walls, being a badass)!</li>
    <li> Hideous enemies (i.e. giant spiders and bats)!</li>
    <li>Crazy Ninja Powers (i.e. bullet time and highlighted weak points)!</li>
    <li> Upgradeable Weapons (i.e. kill more to kill better)!</li>
    <li> Exotic Locations (i.e. monsters just won't leave Tokyo alone)!</li>
</ul>

If, like us, you've recently had the urge to draw a blade and quietly assassinate someone in the dead of night, you should probably seek the assistance of a good or physically attractive psychiatrist as soon as possible. If, however, you've recently had the urge to draw a blade and quietly assassinate someone in the dead of night -- <em>in a game</em> -- you'll be pleased to note that Ubisoft is bringing Acquire's ninja sim, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchu-4"><em>Tenchu 4</em></a>, to North America and Europe in "early 2009."<br /><br />Aside from offering two playable characters and the ability to "fight, dash, jump and kill like a true ninja," the Wii exclusive is almost certain to provide one of the most novel uses of the nunchuk yet -- you know, as a nunchuk. Probably. <br /><br />Either way, Ubisoft is confident enough in <em>Tenchu 4</em>'s merits to lay down a fairly specific prediction in the press release: "Tenchu 4 will come to a North American and European audience where it will be well-received by both fans of the series as well as Wii owners who have been looking for an edgy and exciting game." It <em>will</em> be well-received ... hmm, perhaps it's more of a command?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/23/ubisoft-sneaking-tenchu-4-into-america-europe-in-09/">Ubisoft sneaking Tenchu 4 into America, Europe in '09</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Sep 2008 13:30:00 EST. While it troubles us to think that the game is just <em>never</em> going to come out, we're glad it's at least not coming out on the same day as <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-not-the-right-place-to-try-bangai-o-sound-load/">Bangai-O Spirits</a>.</em> The good news is that <em>N+</em> will now launch at $20, which is an insanely good deal for a new, polished <em>N</em> with hundreds of new levels and a stylus-based level editor.<br /><br />There's a third bit of news too, which didn't really fit in the "good news/bad news" thing we were trying to do, though it falls into the "good" category: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Atari-N/dp/B000TPTCRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=videogames&amp;qid=1218086646&amp;sr=1-1">Amazon orders</a> will include a download link for a digital strategy guide. <br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/07/n-minus-10-plus-2-weeks/">N+ minus $10, plus 2 weeks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Aug 2008 11:27:00 EST. <br /><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchu-4"><em>Tenchu IV</em></a>'s animations are the very definition of a <span style="font-style: italic;">mixed bag</span>. The player-controlled <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/23/tenchu-iv-to-feature-kittens-might-be-the-best-game-ever/">kittens</a>, as seen above, look graceful when they move (as cats tend to do), but we're not exactly convinced by the <span style="font-style: italic;">human</span> death animations, which seem to feature enemies jerking about like electrocuted dogs. In the second of the three videos posted after the break, the downed enemy seems to perform some kind of bizarre <span style="font-style: italic;">humping</span> motion in his death throes.<br /><br />Not that we mean to pick on <span style="font-style: italic;">Tenchu IV</span> or anything -- being overly picky about this stuff is just part of our job.<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/05/tenchu-iv-is-jerky-graceful/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tenchu IV is jerky, graceful</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/05/tenchu-iv-is-jerky-graceful/">Tenchu IV is jerky, graceful</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 05 Aug 2008 20:30:00 EST. So, these cats can't shoot lasers, but they can do other awesome things. Like <em>look cute</em> and <em>distract enemies</em>.<br /><br />Thinking of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/11/how-to-snap-a-neck-in-tenchu-iv/">a ninja's arsenal</a>, kittens don't really come to mind. They're prone to make noise (which could mean certain death for a ninja) and they take up a lot of space in a satchel. This space could be used for more deadly ninja stars. But, hey, we're not complaining. We love kittens. If there is a limit to how long we can watch a little stick figure bouncing off walls and performing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/20/n-knocks-it-up-a-notch-with-new-trailers-bam/">gravity-defying stunts</a>, we haven't yet reached the critical threshold. <br /><br />You can start learning about the mind-bending N+ experience with our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/20/ds-fanboy-preview-n/">hands-on preview</a>, effectively taking "the best platforming engine in Flash, ever," for a ride. The thing is, no matter how many screens and videos you ogle, there's plenty more brand <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/24/a-pendulous-new-n-level/">new levels</a> being created constantly. Best of all, the DS version is just as full-featured as any other installment, including a full level creator and Wi-Fi multiplayer. N+ should be a sure-fire hit when it's released in August.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/e308-n-media-leaps-deftly-into-our-grasp/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>E308: N+ media leaps deftly into our grasp</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/e308-n-media-leaps-deftly-into-our-grasp/">E308: N+ media leaps deftly into our grasp</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 Jul 2008 21:00:00 EST. There are so many of them that you can probably just look at the screens in a slideshow and call it a day, saving yourself the $29.99. Of course, that just takes all the fun out of it.<br /><br />As <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/14/mega-man-star-force-2-forces-details-upon-us/">you may recall</a>, there are two different versions of the game: <em>Zerker x Ninja </em>and <em>Zerker x Saurian</em>. Although they're mostly the same, each one offers Mega Man different powers.<br /><br />So, which will it be, <em>Star Force</em> fans? <em>Saurian</em>, or <em>Ninja</em>?<br /><br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/24/a-mega-load-of-screens-for-star-force-2/">A mega load of screens for Star Force 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Jun 2008 22:00:00 EST. <div align="left">In the spirit of a true <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/07/ds-fanboy-review-ninja-gaiden-dragon-sword/">ninja master</a>, the perenially popular platformer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/04/2008s-biggest-blips-n/"><em>N+</em></a> is still on its merry way to the DS. Many people out there have tried several adventures of the anonymous little hero on the PC, and are better gamers for it. Put it this way -- N+ levels are really, super easy to make, so the DS version features plenty of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/09/user-created-content-in-n/">original creations</a>.<br /><br />You can check out some of the high-flying gameplay in the new trailer above, along with two more after the break. <em>N+</em> hasn't been dumbed-down for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/11/ds-fanboy-interview-n/">portable installments</a> at all, and includes a full level editor and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/09/online-level-sharing-in-n/">downloadable content</a>. Enemies will start to charge down the path, and your newly created ninjas must try to stop them.<br /><br />Managing and commanding the ninjas from a hot air balloon as Ol' Master Ninja, players can jump into the battle with special attacks, such as smacking enemies with the Ol' Master Ninja's cane and slowing them down by blowing into the DS's microphone.<br /><br />Publisher <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/SouthPeak/">SouthPeak</a> expects to include 30+ scenarios total, encompassing five different gameworld areas, for <em>Ninjatown's</em> fall release. Though there's already at least one other Tower Defense commercial title due for the DS -- 5th Cell's <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/locks-quest/">Lock's Quest</a></em> -- the cute character designs, playful approach, and use of the system's features could be enough to turn <em>Ninjatown</em> into something special.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/13/joystiq-hands-on-ninjatown/">Read</a> - Joystiq hands-on: Ninjatown<br /><a href="http://media.ds.ign.com/media/957/957851/vids_1.html">Read</a> - IGN's Ninjatown videos<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/14/ninjatown-tower-defense-with-ninjas/">Ninjatown: Tower Defense with ninjas</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 14 Jun 2008 18:00:00 EST. <br />While this outfit is nowhere near as scandalous as what <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Tecmo/">Tecmo's</a> female ninjas have been wearing, we still have to question the appropriateness of Ayame's <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchu">Tenchu 4</a></em> garb. Famitsu has put up a slew of images, both directly from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/04/hey-hey-lets-go-tenchu-4/"><em>Tenchu IV</em></a> and its announcement event, documenting the various ninja techniques, such as <em>flipping out and killing people</em>. For those of you that have lost faith in the <em>Tenchu </em>franchise (this blogger included), perhaps these screens will get you down from the fence? Still, we have yet to get to the big news surrounding this.<br /><br />Ubisoft is set to publish <em>Tenchu IV</em>, both here in the United States and in Europe, taking up localization duties, as well. Given the flack that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ubisoft">Ubisoft</a> has taken recently for all of its casual titles, we're a bit surprised to see them so dedicated to this title, given the recent entries in the series being <em>less than stellar</em>, to put it politely. <br /><br />And, as if that weren't enough, there's <em>even more</em> to all of this. Apparently, a <em>Tenchu V </em>and <em>Tenchu VI</em> are planned, although no consoles are mentioned. Could these titles also be Wii exclusives? We'll have to wait and see, we suppose.<br /><br />For some basic facts about <em>Tenchu IV</em>, that come from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/famitsu">Famitsu</a> magazine article about the game, head past the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/tenchu-iv-being-published-by-ubisoft/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tenchu IV being published by ... If you're a <em>Tenchu</em> seeker who, despite the franchise's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tenchuz">decidedly clumsy</a> plummet from grace, insists on having your ninjas murder enemies with elegance and discretion (sorry, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-gaiden-2">Ryu</a>), you'd best check out the latest issue of Japan's <em>Famitsu</em> magazine. According to <a href="http://wii.ign.com/articles/879/879057p1.html">IGN</a>, its pages declare that <em>Tenchu 4</em> is headed for the Japanese Wii on October 23rd. The game is said to be developed by Acquire, the same company that delivered the original <em>Dimensional Ninja Action Movie: Tenchu</em>. And not <em>Tenchu Z</em>.<br /><br />Not much else is known at this time, so you're more than welcome to speculate about how you'll use the Wiimote as a sword and the nunchuk as a ... well, we're sure you'll think of something.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/04/tenchu-4-sneaking-up-on-wii/">Tenchu 4 sneaking up on Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Jun 2008 13:25:00 EST. The Wii is currently <em>Tenchu</em>-less. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/27/vc-tuesday-go-ninja-go/">Ninjas</a> are cool, but not having them on your console is very <em>un</em>cool. And yet suddenly, from the depths of a Japanese scan, we find the first announcement of <em>Tenchu 4</em>, right here on Nintendo's home turf. It's a rumor for now, but there has been no word on development for other consoles -- this may be a Wii exclusive. Let's hope it fares better than the latest <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/30/tenchu-is-a-bad-ninja/">portable entry</a> into the series.<br /><br />The first shots of the game look pretty smooth, despite the magazine scan. In the second image after the jump, there's some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/08/vc-tuesday-hot-fighting-history/">chop-socky action</a> with grappling moves and takedowns. It looks colorful and violent, which is always top stuff. Our keen eyes of power are ready for the Japanese release on October 23. Let's fighting love!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/04/hey-hey-lets-go-tenchu-4/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hey Hey Let's Go! A ninja. Popular retail website Newegg.com is offering the Tecmo title for $22.99 (+ $2.99 for 3 business day shipping).<br /><br />The regular price for the game, as many of you might know, is $34.99, so this is a pretty good deal. The game still looks incredibly niche, though it will be interesting to see if these additions will be enough to push the series' fan base into uncharted territory -- perhaps even into <em>double digits</em>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/">Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/#755451"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/system-intro_izuna-kiss_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/#755450"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/s01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/#755449"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/talismans_talisman-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/#755448"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/tag-system_izuna-shino-cutscene_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/izuna-2-the-unemployed-ninja-returns/#755447"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/tag-system_izuna-shino-tag-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/17/atlus-bringing-ds-rougelike-izuna-2-to-north-america-in-july/">Atlus bringing DS roguelike Izuna 2 to North America in July</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Apr 2008 04:00:00 EST. This week's main attraction is none other than Team Ninja's handheld entry in their franchise, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-gaiden/"><em>Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword</em></a>. Sure, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/24/ds-releases-for-the-week-of-march-24th/"><em>other</em> games released this week</a>, too, but we're not too concerned with those. Oh no, we're just anxious to unsheathe our stylus and cut foes asunder. Surely, that isn't a feeling we alone possess? <br /><br />What will you all be playing this weekend? <em>Ninja Gaiden</em>, like us? Or some other game (or games)?<br /><br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/28/wrup-silent-like-ninja-edition/">WRUP: Silent like ninja edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Mar 2008 11:15:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/promotional-consideration/">Promotional Consideration</a> is a weekly feature about the Nintendo DS advertisements you usually flip past, change the channel on, or just tune out.<br /> <br /> Our featured item for this Easter Sunday, the North American commercial for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ninja-gaiden" style="font-style: italic;">Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword</a>, already made the rounds earlier this week, but if, like us, you're a fan of stealth assassins, that's probably of little concern to you. Put on your cleanest black jumpsuit -- make sure to run a lint-roller on it first to pull off all that cat hair -- and sneak past the post break for the video. <br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/23/promotional-consideration-real-life-ninjas-flippin-out/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Promotional Consideration: Real-life ninjas flippin' out</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/23/promotional-consideration-real-life-ninjas-flippin-out/">Promotional Consideration: Real-life ninjas flippin' out</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 23 Mar 2008 22:00:00 EST. Here at Joystiq, we think <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/18/n-coming-to-xbox-live-arcade-wednesday/">Metanet's sadistic platformer <em>N+</em></a> is one of the best original games we've seen on Xbox Live Arcade for a while. So maybe it's not too surprising that the game's developers feel the same way. What is surprising is their willingness to diss the entire download service in public.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=17960">Talking to Gamasutra</a>, <em>N+</em> creators Raigan Burns and Mare Sheppard railed against Xbox Live Arcade's bloated catalog of copycat games. "The real problem, I think, is that the same people who are deciding what retail games get greenlit are deciding what Live Arcade games get greenlit," Burns said. "Those decisions that are ruining Live Arcade... it's like, who greenlit <em>Word Puzzle</em>? Who greenlit that hoverboard game that's just shit?" It wasn't always like this, according to Burns. "When we started out ... there were 30 games on Live Arcade. If <em>N</em> was one of them, it would stand out. Now there's like a hundred games, and they're all shit. ... If I was a consumer, I could see not even looking at Live Arcade games anymore if I had downloaded 10 or 20 demos, because at a certain point, you're like, 'Whatever. Maybe there's a good game in here.'"<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3583/n_beyond_the_postmortem.php">full interview</a> contains more thoughts on the Xbox Live certification process, the effect of game demos on buzz, and the stupidity of charging for gamerpics and themes. A word of warning: Microsoft fanboys should take their heart medicine before clicking the read link.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/21/n-developers-rail-against-glut-of-bad-xbla-games/">N+ developers rail against glut of bad XBLA games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Mar 2008 14:10:00 EST. But this gameplay video for the sequel shows that while they've kept the ninja-in-the-forest theme, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Taito/">Taito</a> has all but tossed out the floaty tree-to-tree jumping and being killed by shurikens in favor of a much faster, much more sword-combat-based game. It's more <em>Shinobi</em> than <em>Kage</em>, and even more fighting-heavy than that.<br /><br />Why would Taito choose to deliberately reference a game that seems to be almost universally hated? They could have called their ninja action game anything they wanted. We hope that enough Japanese gamers see past the name to make <em>Kage 2</em> a success.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/19/the-legend-of-kage-2-may-surprise-you/">The Legend of Kage 2 may surprise you</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 19 Mar 2008 09:45:00 EST. Metanet Software <a href="http://www.metanetsoftware.com/blog/?p=39">announced via their blog</a> this morning that the Xbox Live Arcade version of 2D Ninja platformer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/10/joystiq-interviews-metanets-mare-sheppard-and-raigan-burns/">N+</a> will be available for 800 MS points at 9 a.m. GMT (1 a.m. Pacific) on Wednesday, Feb. 20.<br /><br />The Wednesday release will come with the obligatory Gamerpics and Dashboard themes which, unfortunately, will cost even more of your hard earned Microsoft points. Metanet also announced "one or two level packs coming in the future," although, really, if you manage to beat all 450 levels included in the main game, it's probably time to move on to another title. Well, the Virtual Console releases have hit our inbox and we're pleased to see two fan-favorites hitting the download circuit. With one of the most beloved RPG franchises depositing an installment, as well as the third title in the <em>Ninja Gaiden</em> releasing, we're sure going to enjoy giving these a play later on.<br /><br />This week's Virtual Console releases are:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom</em> (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)</li>
    <li><em>Phantasy Star II</em> (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)</li>
</ul>
As always, be sure to stop back later for our video wrap-up of this week's content.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/18/vc-monday-madness-ninja-gaiden-iii-and-phantasy-star-ii/">VC Monday Madness: Ninja Gaiden III and Phantasy Star II</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 18 Feb 2008 09:45:00 EST. We have <em>played </em>the game (though in a much earlier stage) and we still found ourselves arrested by the unexpected beauty of the footage. YouTube isn't the best medium to get the <em>crispness</em> of the video across, but the 60-frames-per-second animation is still there, as is the quick, precise movement of the ninja character. The music is also catchy and retro-techno-awesome.<br /><br />In addition to the new video, we've updated the gallery with 15 screenshots, each showing off a different level. The levels are crazily varied, showing the strength of the editor (and of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/03/n-and-n-and-n/">Metanet</a>'s imaginations).<br /><br />See also: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/04/2008s-biggest-blips-part-ii/">2008's Biggest Blips</a>: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/04/2008s-biggest-blips-n/"><em>N+</em></a><br /><br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/14/n-video-is-jaw-dropping/">N+ video is jaw-dropping</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 14 Feb 2008 09:45:00 EST. <div align="left">We're confident in our belief that <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/21/ninjatown-real-ultimate-cuteness/">Ninjatown</a> </em>is the only ninja game in history to feature cartoon hearts on its box. It's all due to the super-cute style created by Shawn Smith that the bizarre dichotomy between cute and cold-heartedly murderous can be maintained. For example: the game is a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/13/egm-visits-ninjatown/">strategy game</a>, which means <em>war</em>. The black-suited ninja is less than one second away from committing an act of violence <em>on the boxart</em>, and yet the ninjas' Smurf-Village-like dwellings overpower that and elicit an "awwww." <br /></div>

<br />We've got the first direct-feed screens of the game in our new gallery, and the same feeling applies: yes, these are people who primarily identify as ruthless assassins, but ... we want to <em>huggle </em>them.<br /><br />
<br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/12/whats-going-down-in-ninjatown/">What's going down in Ninjatown</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 12 Feb 2008 12:00:00 EST.
