The ol' eShop gets a double dose of "super" this week with the release of both <em>Super Metroid</em> and <em>Super Ghouls N' Ghosts</em> on the Wii U. And, don't forget that <em>Super Metroid</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/15/get-super-metroid-for-30-cents-on-wii-u-virtual-console-right-no/">is only $0.30</a> until June 12. The Blue Bomber continues his assault on the 3DS Virtual Console with the debut of <em>Mega Man 5</em>, along with the original <em>Harvest Moon</em>. Also available is a new 3DS port of <em>Swords &amp; Soldiers</em> from Ronimo, creators of the excellent <em>Awesomenauts</em>.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, the Wii gets some love this week with a Virtual Console release of <em>King of Fighters '99</em>.<br />
<br />
Finally, there are a couple of sales. <em>Runner 2</em> is available for 25 percent off its usual $14.99 price. Also, those who purchase (or already own) <em>Super Mario World</em> on the Wii U Virtual Console can pick up <em>Super Mario Bros. 2</em> <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu/downloads/virtual-console/deals">for half price</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/16/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-super-metroid-super-ghouls-n-ghos/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Super Metroid, Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Mega Man 5</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/16/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-super-metroid-super-ghouls-n-ghos/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Super Metroid, Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Mega Man 5</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 May 2013 10:00:00 EST. <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/mario-and-donkey-kong-minis-on-the-move"><em>Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move</em></a> highlights the new eShop releases this week. The 3DS puzzler has players guiding poor little mini Marios away from hazards by building a Pipe Dream-esque maze. The Wii U Virtual Console picks up two new games in the classic shooter <em>Xevious</em> and puzzle platformer <em>Solomon's Key</em>.<br />
<br />
You can also pick up Chasing Aurora for half price on the Wii U until May 16. A demo for the Wii U version of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/resident-evil-revelations"><em>Resident Evil: Revelations</em></a> arrives May 14.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/09/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-mario-and-donkey-kong-xevious-sol/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Mario and Donkey Kong, Xevious, Solomon's Key</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/09/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-mario-and-donkey-kong-xevious-sol/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Mario and Donkey Kong, Xevious, Solomon's Key</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 09 May 2013 09:30:00 EST. Nintendo Weekly offers two mans this week. No, that's not a grammatitional error. Both <em>Mega Man</em> and <em>Pac-Man </em>arrive on the Wii U Virtual console for $5 apiece.<br />
<br />
The 3DS will have its hands full with a burgeoning <em>Balloon Fight </em>and an attack by <em>Bear Shark</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/02/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-mega-man-pac-man-balloon-fight/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Mega Man, Pac-Man, Balloon Fight</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/02/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-mega-man-pac-man-balloon-fight/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Mega Man, Pac-Man, Balloon Fight</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 May 2013 10:30:00 EST. Half demo and half conciliatory gesture, this exclusive app was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/19/rayman-legends-receiving-wii-u-bonus-mode-in-april/">promised</a> after Ubisoft delayed the Wii U version to prepare a multiplatform release. The full game is due <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/25/rayman-legends-reaches-north-america-august-27-europe-august-30/">September 3</a>.<br /><br />On 3DS, the collection of NES <em>Mega Man</em> games grows with <em>Mega Man 4</em>. And Color Commando launches on DSiWare, a puzzle-platformer about placing blobs of paint around a level to neutralize same-color monsters.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/25/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-rayman-legends-challenges-mega-man/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Rayman Legends Challenges, Mega Man 4</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/25/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-rayman-legends-challenges-mega-man/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Rayman Legends Challenges, Mega Man 4</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 25 Apr 2013 10:00:00 EST. First up, 3DS owners have the choice between digital and physical purchases of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/luigis-mansion-dark-moon"><em>Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon</em></a> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity">Pok&eacute;mon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity</a> </em>- all arriving on March 24. If you're picking up <em>Gates to Infinity</em>, make sure you also grab the free 'Pok&eacute; Forest' DLC, which only stays free until May 1. After that it'll cost $2.<br /><br />The other big release of the week is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/zen-pinball-2"><em>Zen Pinball 2</em></a>. The Wii U download is free, and lets you have a trial run with all of the game's available tables. After that, it's gonna cost ya.<br /><br />As ever, the full list of this week's releases is after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/21/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-luigis-mansion-dark-moon-pokemo/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 3DS, Zen Pinball 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/21/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-luigis-mansion-dark-moon-pokemo/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 3DS, Zen Pinball 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 21 Mar 2013 17:00:00 EST. For free, there's a demo of <em>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity</em> (more of a gate to finity in the demo, we suppose); for relatively cheap, there's the new <em>Kersploosh!</em>, Virtual Console oldie <em>Wrecking Crew</em>, and a week-long discount on the excellent <em>Sakura Samurai</em>.<br /><br />There are also retail-ish releases, led by Renegade Kid's <em>ATV Wild Ride 3D</em>, a new 3DS update of a game originally released on DS. At $8, it's cheaper than retail. <em>Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D </em>launches on eShop today as well.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-pokemon-mystery-demo-kersploosh/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Pokemon Mystery Demo, Kersploosh</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-pokemon-mystery-demo-kersploosh/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Pokemon Mystery Demo, Kersploosh</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Mar 2013 15:00:00 EST. The Wii version includes the bonus "ROM City Rampage," a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/27/how-to-turn-retro-city-rampage-into-a-working-8-bit-game/">genuine 8-bit remake</a> of the game!<br /><br />On 3DS, there's a demo of <em>Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate</em>, which hopefully lasts longer than the title. And <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/17/portabliss-fractured-soul-3ds-eshop/"><em>Fractured Soul</em></a> is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/3ds-eshop-games-going-on-sale-including-bit-trip-saga-today/">on sale</a> for $7.99 for the next week!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/28/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-retro-city-rampage-runner2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Retro City Rampage, Runner2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/28/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-retro-city-rampage-runner2/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Retro City Rampage, Runner2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Feb 2013 14:00:00 EST. The brawler/RPG <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/17/code-of-princess-review/"><em>Code of Princess</em></a> is also downloadable today, but not exclusively: it was released as a 3DS cart back in October.<br /><br />Mobile and PC platformer <a href="http://www.gunmanclive.com/"><em>Gunman Clive</em></a> is also on 3DS today, with its unusual sketches-on-yellowed paper look. And on Wii U: nothing! Today, Natsume and Warner Bros. drop some of their recent releases on the store, including the 3DS version of <em>Scribblenauts Unlimited</em>. There's so much we almost didn't notice <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/01/ninja-gaiden-infiltrates-the-3ds-eshop-next-week/"><em>Ninja Gaiden</em></a> missing its release date! A few more Wii U retail games from D3 and Ubisoft also make the lineup.<br /><br />There's even a Wii Virtual Console game, which makes this a historic week: for the first time, downloadable games have been released on four Nintendo consoles in the same week. <br /><br />There's also a Skrillex video on Nintendo Video this week. So there's that.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/06/nintendoware-weekly-scribblenauts-unlimited-tons-more/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: Scribblenauts Unlimited, tons more</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/06/nintendoware-weekly-scribblenauts-unlimited-tons-more/">NintendoWare Weekly: Scribblenauts Unlimited, tons more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Dec 2012 11:00:00 EST. There are still some gems to be found however, most notably the Game Boy Color version of <em>Mario Golf</em> for the 3DS Virtual Console. The 3DS also gets platformer <em>Crazy Kangaroo</em>, number puzzler <em>Nurikabe by Nikoli</em> and a demo for <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/lego-lord-of-the-rings"><em>LEGO The Lord of the Rings</em></a>.<br /><br />The Wii, meanwhile, picks up Neo Geo fighter <em>The Last Blade 2</em> on Virtual Console. We'd forgotten this was happening in the interim between the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/19/prince-of-persia-for-wii-and-3ds-rayman-for-3ds-rated/">December ESRB rating</a> and today, so this is, like every Wii Virtual Console release, a pleasant and unexpected surprise.<br /><br />Speaking of surprises, DSiWare's <em>Crazy Hunter</em> is about a crocodile building a goat tower to reach the sky, in order to capture hens who lay golden eggs. It gets weirder from there, actually.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/06/nintendoware-weekly-prince-of-persia/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: Prince of Persia</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/06/nintendoware-weekly-prince-of-persia/">NintendoWare Weekly: Prince of Persia</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Sep 2012 18:30:00 EST. There's also the fascinating <em>Dot Runner: Complete Edition</em>, a new game that mashes up Pac-Man and first-person RPGs into some kind of psychedelic anime monster, and <em>Planet Crashers</em>, a top-down dungeon RPG with a cute sci-fi theme, developed by Renegade Kid.<br /><br />Two games are on sale on 3DS at the same time(!): <em>Super Mario Bros. </em>and the versatile drawing app <em>Colors! 3D</em>.<br /><br />There's even a new Virtual Console game on Wii in the form of <em>World Heroes Perfect</em>, one of the Neo Geo's many, many fighting games.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/26/nintendoware-weekly-wario-land-mole-mania-planet-crashers/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NintendoWare Weekly: Wario Land, Mole Mania, Planet Crashers</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/26/nintendoware-weekly-wario-land-mole-mania-planet-crashers/">NintendoWare Weekly: Wario Land, Mole Mania, Planet Crashers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Jul 2012 13:15:00 EST.
