Capcom has filed a <a href="http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&amp;state=4005:cclh4l.2.1">trademark</a> for something called "E.X. Troopers." Your initial reaction might be one of excitement, but that's because you're confusing the title with <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nRflfyievk">Exosquad</a>. It's okay, we did it too.<br />
<br />
So what exactly is <em>E.X. Troopers</em>? We can safely assume it's a game of some sort but, beyond that, it's a mystery. We're going to guess these are the kind of troopers that shoot aliens (or monsters, etc), not the kind that pull you over on the highway.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/02/capcom-files-trademark-for-ex-troopers/">Capcom files trademark for 'EX Troopers'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 02 Dec 2011 17:00:00 EST.
