In honor of this week's consumerist holiday, colloquially known as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/19/black-friday-2010-video-game-deals/">Black Friday</a>, Nintendo is unleashing two new colors stateside. The pumpkin orange and mint jello green DSis include a copy of <em>Mario Party DS</em> at a suggested retail price of $150 (and retailers seem to be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/05/rumor-sears-black-friday-ad-reveals-green-and-red-dsis-new-psp/">taking the hint</a>).<br />
<br />
It may be $30 more, but we still like the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/21/red-wii-and-dsi-xl-bundles-wii-remote-plus-and-flingsmash-in-n/"><em>Super Mario Bros.</em> 25th anniversary DSi bundle</a> more, which comes with <em>Mario Kart DS</em>. 'Cause, <em>Mario Party DS</em>? <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/game/ds/mario-party-ds">Yikes</a>.<br />

UK residents can now get their hands on a DS Lite for free, given that they need a cell phone. Orange contracts, a cell phone plan provider in the UK, is now handing out Nintendo's handheld to new customers. We don't know much about the company or the offer (probably because we live nowhere near the UK), but we're sure it's worth it.<br /><br />It <em>is </em>a DS Lite, after all.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/29/buy-a-cell-phone-get-a-free-ds-lite/">Buy a cell phone, get a free DS Lite</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Aug 2007 16:30:00 EST. The $12.99 ensemble holds the handheld close with a plastic shell and swaddles it with Nerf's unique foam padding. Nothing short of a tactical nuclear weapon (or a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/16/puppy-takes-out-frustrations-on-nintendogs-cart/">puppy that loves to chew on your valuables</a>) will penetrate its cushioned coat. <br /><br />Though GameStop advertises that the cases won't be available until next month, Fanboy reader PW was able to acquire one early by <a href="javascript:void(0);/*1178651611887*/">setting his DS clock ahead</a>. According to his impressions, the extra padding allows people with "giant gorilla hands" to finally play games on a DS Lite without having to suffer hand cramps. We've got more photos of his Nerf DS Lite Armor after the post break, so don't miss out on those. <br /><br />You should note that while PW's case is orange, that particular color isn't listed as an option on its packaging or on several online sites. Maybe this is an in-store-exclusive edition? You might want to head to a brick and mortar shop if you want to purchase one anyway, as GameStop's online product page states the following gem: "The DS Lite Nerf Armor comes in 4 colors: Pink, Blue, Black and Green. <strong>Colors are chosen at random when shipped.</strong>"<br /><br />Who's the genius that came up with that plan?!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/08/faced-with-nerf-or-nothing-we-choose-nerf/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Faced with Nerf or nothing, we choose Nerf</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/08/faced-with-nerf-or-nothing-we-choose-nerf/">Faced with Nerf or nothing, we choose Nerf</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 May 2007 17:00:00 EST. The packages and prices are as follows:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Black</em>, for PC only, is $39.99 and includes only <em>Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, </em>and <em>Portal.</em></li>
    <li><em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/halflife">Orange</a>, </em>for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is $59.99 and includes all of the above plus <em>Half-Life 2</em> and <em>Episode One.</em></li>
</ul>
With a set like <em>Half-Life 2: Orange</em> being one of the few titles out there we feel merit a $60 price tag, we're eagerly anticipating the sets' release. Now if Valve would finally release them!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/17/half-life-2-is-black-orange-and-priced/">Half-Life 2 is black, orange, and priced</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 17 Jan 2007 23:25:00 EST. The latest issue of <em>Electronic Gaming Monthly </em>confirms that the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of <em>Half-Life 2</em> have been renamed to <em>Half-Life 2: Orange.</em> No, really.<br /><br />Valve has come up with an entire world of alien life forms, postmodern physics and government conspiracies and the best title they could come up with is a color? We guess it's better than <em>Half-Life 2: Head Crab-tacular Edition</em>.<br /><br /><em>HL2:O</em> includes the original <em>Half-Life 2</em>, <em>Episodes One</em> and <em>Two</em>, <em>Team Fortress</em>, and <em>Portal.</em> We think you can make a better title, so let's hear your suggestions.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/12/half-life-2-console-pack-blushes-orange/">Half-Life 2 console pack blushes orange</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 12 Jan 2007 19:58:00 EST.
