It's accompanied by the demo for the upcoming eShop release of <em>Order Up!</em> and a DSiWare game about dodging hazards and slowing down time.<br /><br />This week on Wii ... something! Yes! Well, this is why: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/snk-arcade-classics/"><em>SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1</em></a>. Within this disc, you'll find plenty of old-school SNK titles, which, when compared with their Virtual Console counterparts, fetch a much cheaper price of admission.<br /><br />This week's retail releases include:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor</em></li>
    <li><em>SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1</em></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/order-up"><em>Order Up</em></a></li>
    <li><em>Chess Crusade</em></li>
</ul>
So, who's picking up what?<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/21/wii-releases-this-week-snk-arcade-classics-vol-1-edition/">Wii releases this week: SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Jul 2008 11:00:00 EST. If you think watching someone else do yoga might be exciting, you'd be <em>wrong</em>. The most entertaining part is when Alyson says about the virtual male trainer, "I think I'll call it Brad. You're rad, Brad." Ironically, that's also that part that made us start sobbing, wondering <em>when it would end</em>.<br /><br />You can also watch "info" videos that promote <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/27/wrup-certainly-not-alone-in-the-dark-edition/"><em>Alone in the Dark</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/11/we-didnt-order-up-this-stale-video/"><em>Order Up!</em></a>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/09/wii-fanboy-review-actionloop-twist/">Magnetica Twist</a></em>, and a number of other games. The highlight for us was watching <em>Wall-E</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/21/were-falling-for-wall-e-the-gamecube-mod/">being adorable</a> in the <em>Wall-E</em> TV Spot, but that's not to say it made us want to buy the Wii title. It <em>did</em> make us want to go and see <em>Wall-E</em>, though.<br /><br />Here's the full list of the new videos on the Nintendo Channel, for you to check out at your leisure:<br />

<div align="left"><br />We really want to be charmed by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/15/x-play-gets-their-hands-on-order-up/" style="font-style: italic;">Order Up!</a>, but this gameplay video was more sleep inducing than a lecture on the merits of drying paint. We just can't help but feel a bit of a "been there, done that" vibe when it comes to this upcoming SuperVillain Studios title.<br /><br />The promise of restaurant management elements seem like the game's one saving grace, as it sets <em>Order Up</em>! apart from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Cooking-Mama/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Cooking Mamas</span></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dinerdash/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Diner Dashes</span></a> of the world. We would have much rather preferred to see a gameplay video of how the sim stuff works. However, since the game <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/24/flipping-burgers-with-order-up/">did show some initial promise</a>, we'll approach it with an open mind when it releases in late July.<br /><br />On a related note, Amazon and other retailers list a $39.99 price point for <span style="font-style: italic;">Order Up!</span> Do you think that's still too high for the title, or does $40 hit your virtual restaurant-loving sweet spot?<br /><br />

We were wondering when we'd find out what <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/04/supervillain-rumored-to-be-working-on-wii-games/">SuperVillain Studios was up to</a> on the Wii, but we never thought it'd be a restaurant game akin to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dinerdash/"><em>Diner Dash</em></a>. Hearing that might immediately turn you off, but we think <em>Order Up! </em>actually looks pretty interesting. Not only do you perform motion-controlled, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Cooking-Mama/"><em>Cooking Mama</em></a>-style recipes (only with fast foodstuffs), but you also have to manage the restaurant in this simulation game. There's 4,000 lines of dialog included in the game, too, which (based on the screens) we hope is humorous. <br /><br />Our only complaint is that this might be better suited for WiiWare, but if it's available at a budget price (i.e. <em>not</em> $50), we might look into getting this. If your interest is piqued as well, keep your eyes peeled for the game's June 22nd release date.<br /><br />
<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/24/flipping-burgers-with-order-up/">Flipping burgers with Order Up!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 24 Apr 2008 18:00:00 EST.
