Okay, so our fully-functioning Pip-Boy is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/08/ces-2009-real-pip-boy-revealed-vault-tec-stock-soars/">currently in development</a>, and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/06/modder-crafts-working-pip-boy-3000-using-ipod-touch/#continued">iPhone version</a> didn't exactly hit the spot. Thankfully, the BlackBerry skin is awfully close to fulfilling our <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/fallout-3">Fallout</a></em> dreams. Modder sadosdemetrios has created a functioning Pip-Boy homescreen for the Blackberry, available for free at <a href="http://forums.crackberry.com/f126/pipboy-3000-v1-5b-g-83xx-curve-182938/">Crackberry</a>, in your choice of green or blue.<br /><br />The modder is currently accepting donations for his hard work -- please donate generously! The closer we get to inventing the <em>real</em> Pip-Boy, the closer we are to nuclear annihilation. And then, like <a href="http://www.easports.com/">EA Sports</a>, we'll be<em> in the game</em>.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://kotaku.com/5218452/pip+berry-3000">Kotaku</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/20/functional-pip-boy-mod-for-blackberry/">Functional Pip-Boy mod for BlackBerry</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Apr 2009 14:30:00 EST. "Every time you kill an opponent, all your action points are automatically restored." So goes the description for the perk "Grim Reaper's Sprint," winner of Bethesda's <em>Fallout 3 </em>Create a Perk contest. The designer, Marc-Andr&eacute; Deslongchamps of Montreal, will see his perk included in the final game as well as receive a package of <a href="http://fallout.bethsoft.com/vault/falloutcontest.html">PC-related prizes</a>.<br /><br />The contest, announced in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/03/design-a-fallout-3-perk-win-notoriety-and-gaming-gear/">early October</a>, was in honor of <em>Fallout's </em>10th anniversary. Eleven runner-ups and five random entries <a href="http://bethblog.com/?p=365#more-365">were chosen</a> to also receive gifts; be sure to check out their submitted perks <a href="http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/vault/falloutcontest.html">at the contest page</a>. We're hoping to see some of these other perks, especially Kleptomaniac, find their way into <em>Fallout 3</em> in some facet.<br /><br />Now that we know one of the perks, anyone want to place bets on what the others will be?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/20/fallout-3-create-a-perk-contest-winner-selected-grim-reapers/">Fallout 3 Create a Perk contest winner selected, 'Grim Reaper's Sprint'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 20 Nov 2007 16:55:00 EST. However, a Bethesda representative we talked to confirmed that, yet again, <em>Fallout 3</em> is trudging along the usual Bethesda development cycle. Being that this is the <a href="http://media.pc.ign.com/media/568/568806/img_2787501.html">second E3</a> where <em>Fallout</em> has appeared in photo form, we are hoping third time's a charm ...<br /><br />[Note: location of flash on pip boy purely incidental ... we swear]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/11/e3-fallout-3-appears-in-spirit/">E3: Fallout 3 appears ... in spirit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 May 2006 03:45:00 EST.
