In fact, we'd go so far as to say that the little guy has <em>appreciated</em> in cuteness since then, and will continue to do so.<br /><br />Case in point, this 10-inch tall stuffed version of Josef, which is now <a href="http://amanita-design.net/store/robot-josef.html">available for pre-order</a> from developer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/amanita-design">Amanita Design</a>. The toy is hand-made in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipn%C3%ADk_nad_Be%C4%8Dvou">Lipn&iacute;k nad Bečvou</a> and costs $30, including shipping. You can even store useful items you find around the real world inside of Josef's robot body, just like in <em>Machinarium</em>. Delivery is expected "within 5 weeks," but you can get a better look right now in the gallery below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/">Machinarium (Josef plushie)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/#5535370"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/robot-josef-machinarium-001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/#5535371"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/robot-josef-machinarium-003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/#5535372"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/robot-josef-machinarium-004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/#5535373"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/robot-josef-machinarium-005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/machinarium-josef-plushie/#5535374"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/robot-josef-machinarium-006_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/05/machinarium-plushie-now-available-for-pre-order/">Machinarium plushie now available for pre-order</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 05 Jan 2013 10:30:00 EST. Other than coconuts, we mean. Halfbrick Studios is making a claim on more of your money, after some admittedly reasonable financial demands from the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/fruit-ninja"><em>Fruit Ninja</em></a> series. The developer has opened a store offering two themed plush toys, which include the cutest watermelon you've ever forcibly bisected, and a happy Sensei whom you can pretend is performing said cut.<br />
<br />
In the US, the Sensei sells for $16 (or 16 times the price of a copy of <em>Fruit Ninja</em>), the Watermelon for $15 (1.5 <em>Fruit Ninja Kinects</em>), and a "Training Pack" of both for $30. The Sensei is available now, but that adorable melon is shipping in mid-January.<br />
<br />
We may sound as if we're giving Halfbrick a hard time for cashing in on <em>Fruit Ninja</em>, but we're happy for the developer. The games have been universally worthwhile, and the toys are undeniably huggable. Besides, Halfbrick has to raise money to save the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/20/ea-confirms-closure-of-visceral-melbourne-reaffirms-support-for/">Australian</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/13/australian-indie-from-ratings-systems-to-a-boom-of-small-studio/">game industry</a>, pretty much single-handed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/06/fruit-ninja-plushies-prove-its-possible-to-milk-fruit/">Fruit Ninja plushies prove it's possible to milk fruit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 06 Dec 2011 12:00:00 EST. Kittens or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/01/chibiterasu-plush-will-paint-a-smile-on-your-face/">puppies</a>, for example, make wonderful plushies. <em>Abject terror</em>, on the other hand, isn't usually associated with most plushies, making this <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/minecraft"><em>Minecraft</em></a> Creeper plushie from <a href="http://www.arixystix.com/blog/2011/05/28/minecraft-creeper-plush/">Arixystix</a> particularly confusing.<br />
<br />
Then again, as noted on the Arixystix blog, the plushie is roughly the size of a small child, so we imagine its usefulness as a parenting aid would be exceptional. Thankfully for children everywhere, it doesn't appear to be for sale ... yet.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/30/minecraft-creeper-plush-seems-like-a-horrible-idea/">Minecraft Creeper plush seems like a horrible idea</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 30 May 2011 22:13:00 EST. The adorable <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/super-scribblenauts"><em>Scribblenaut</em></a> himself, Maxwell, is heading to toy stores this June. First, he's <a href="http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=FNK10727&amp;mode=retail">an action figure</a>, complete with a pencil and notebook used to create anything you can dream of. If we were given the choice of turn any character from the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/mass-effect-2"><em>Mass Effect</em></a> universe into an adorable plush doll, we'd probably lean towards the Elcor, or one of the Krogan -- you know, one of the <em>cuddlier</em> species. Prickly protagonist Garrus Vakarian? Today's batch of daily <a href="http://store.steampowered.com/">Steam weekend deals</a> is pretty radical, decimating the prices of jams like <em>The Ball</em>, <em>World of Goo</em> and <em>The Orange Box</em> -- however, you shouldn't ignore the other big sale Valve is currently hosting. Dozens of shirts, hats and other pieces of merchandise from the company's titles are currently on sale <a href="http://store.valvesoftware.com/sale.php">through The Valve Store</a>. Many pieces of apparel are temporarily marked down to just five bucks; that's some cheap holiday shopping for your more game-savvy acquaintances.<br />
<br />
If you can hold off from capitalizing on these offers, you might be interested in two new items which will soon arrive on the Valve Store's virtual shelves -- plushes modeled after <em>Left 4 Dead</em>'s gnarliest foes, the Hunter and Tank. You'll be able to place these bad boys next to your equally squeezable (and upsetting) <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/03/adorable-nightmarish-left-4-dead-boomer-plush-toy-on-sale/">Boomer plush</a> when they go on sale in late December.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/28/valve-store-offering-deals-on-merchandise-adding-new-left-4-dea/">Valve Store offering deals on merchandise, adding new Left 4 Dead plushes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 28 Nov 2010 15:00:00 EST. And now Capcom has made a Chibiterasu that can actually be hugged: a 45 cm (17.7 inch) plush version.<br />
<br />
Here's the bad news (yes, there is somehow bad news related to something so wonderful): the doll is only available through Capcom's Japanese <a href="http://www.e-capcom.com/ec/srDispProductListProductLink/doProductLink/1/1/A10002527/10/10/srDispProductList/">online store</a>, and is expected to ship October 31. If you happen to have a friend in Japan, they can order it for you for 5,040 yen ($58).<br />

If you're attempting to ween your teenage offspring off their collection of stuffed animals, we suggest investing in a line of plushies which are capable of scaring them out of their adorable addiction. Valve is releasing a set of five <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/left-4-dead"><em>Left 4 Dead</em></a> plush toys which should suit your needs quite well, the first of which -- based on the digestivally challenged "Boomer" special infected -- <a href="http://store.valvesoftware.com/productshowcase/productshowcase_L4D2-BoomerPlush.html">is currently available</a> on Valve's online store for $49.99.<br />
<br />
That price is a tad steep, though each toy comes with a sound chip that can emit ten of the Boomer's in-game grunts and belches. Just think of it like a premium you're paying to really place your child's psyche deep within <em>the nightmare zone</em>.<br />

Blizzard's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/04/blizzard-opens-real-money-pet-store-in-wow/">in-game pet store</a> will soon be breaking the fourth wall and invading your living room with the <em>World of Webkinz</em>, er ... <em>Warcraft </em>plush animals. You'll be able to spend your real-life gold ($24.99 each) on a real-world plush doll, which will come with a code for an in-game pet that looks identical to your furry little friend. For starters, a Gryphon Hatchling and a Wind Rider Cub will be available, but more will be added later, and they'll have an Alliance or a Horde shield (depending on your faction) embroidered around their necks like an adorable little bib.<br />
<br />
With the amount of money Blizzard is raking in each month, don't be surprised if there's some sort of <em>Jurassic Park</em>-like genetic engineering going on inside their walls so they can offer up real-life Murloc sea-pets next time around. Sea Monkeys have needed a comeback vehicle, and this just might be it. We'll be giving some of these away soon on the site, so keep your eyes peeled for furries.<br />

Seeing a Wii Remote shoved down the throat of an adorable plush doll clued us in. Certainly this had to be another fake Wii game, a la <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/18/mass-we-pray-is-almost-certainly-a-hoax/"><em>Mass: We Pray</em></a>!<br />
<br />
However, it didn't take long for this trailer to work its magic on our cold, Scrooge-like hearts. Translating playtime with a real-world doll for a video game is rather brilliant, transforming an inanimate toy into something much more engaging and interactive. We can already imagine parents fighting each other at Toys 'R' Us for a <em>WiiWaa</em> plush/game combo set at Christmas next year -- provided the game is, y'know, <em>real</em>.<br />

Just missing the opportunity to become the ideal -- and stuffed -- stocking stuffer, the first official line of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/littlebigplanet"><em>LittleBigPlanet</em></a> plushies is now available on <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030DG4SQ?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=prey0f&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0030DG4SQ">Amazon.com</a>. This two-pack bundle from Senario includes one naked Sackboy and one white Sackgirl for $20. Unfortunately, the online retailer won't have these dolls in stock until the December 30th, so you'll have to take Amazon's prohibitively pricey "One Week Ago" time-travel shipping option.<br />

Sackboy is one of the most recognizable video game icons out right now. No wonder that Sony wants to capitalize on the <em>LittleBig</em>-love by releasing new 4" action figures this Spring. In addition to the regular 4" action figures, toy developer and manufacturer, Mezco Toyz, will also release limited-edition Sackboys throughout the year, ranging between 2&Prime; and 18&Prime; large.<br /><br />The <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/02/09/sack-it-to-me-love-is-in-the-air-edition/">PlayStation.Blog</a> also notes that official Sackboy plushes are also in the works, but more time is needed before they're officially unveiled.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/09/sackboy-action-figures-coming-to-stores-this-spring/">Sackboy action figures coming to stores this Spring</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Feb 2009 21:43:00 EST. Thus did we set out, scouring the harsh planes of these wild internets in search of custom Kirby swag. Interested in what we found? Acorn, really. Plush acorn ... in the grip of a plush squirrel. Never mind. Chances are, if you're a fan of, uh, fantasy-themed farming simulations, you've already got a copy of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/24/e308-ds-fanboy-explores-the-lands-of-rune-factory-2/"><em>Rune Factory 2</em></a> preordered -- if only because there are <em>no</em> games in that narrow subgenre that <em>aren't</em> called <em>Rune Factory.</em><br /><br />But hey, even if you don't care about growing whatever or tending whatever or fighting whatever, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Natsume/">Natsume</a> will give you this plush squirrel if you preorder their game from Amazon. They keep <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/12/gamestop-preorder-bonus-for-harvest-moon-ds-cute-is-cute/">trying</a> to use <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/09/why-buy-the-harvest-moon-when-you-get-the-cow-for-free/">cute plushes</a> to sell us games ... and it continues to have a shockingly powerful effect on our resolve. Marvelous is at least as talented at designing adorable, plush-ready mascot characters as they are at designing repetitive, addictive games.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/07/rune-factory-2-preorder-bonus-is-nuts/">Rune Factory 2 preorder bonus is nuts</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 Oct 2008 12:51:00 EST. It seems the glorious <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/03/kart-this-cake-to-your-wedding/">baked treat</a> that Peach offered Mario at the end of his arduous <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/super-mario-64/">Nintendo 64</a> adventure is long gone. She dumped his podgy butt in the moat and ate it all for herself, and seemingly continued to enjoy royalty snacks for some time afterwards. Peach has plumped up, and now you can <em>buy</em> her!<br /><br />This <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/7-NINTENDO-SUPER-MARIO-BROS-Princess-Peach-Plush-Doll_W0QQitemZ180266326619QQihZ008QQcategoryZ348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">eBay auction</a> comes down to a matter of preference. Do you prefer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mario-super-sluggers/923170/">slim, active Peach</a> or hedonistic, pampered royalty Peach? Let you wallet do the talking. The idea of a plus-sized princess is actually pretty interesting. Someone should totally make a game out of it, although we're sure it'll <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/07/18/impressions-fat-princess/"><em>never</em> happen</a>.<br /><br />[Thanks, Alejandro!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/20/peach-ate-marios-cake/">Peach ate Mario's cake</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 20 Jul 2008 16:00:00 EST. Link looks awfully adorable in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amigurumi">amigurumi</a> form, so we're grateful to Artoo1121 and her boyfriend for bringing such a cute craft into the world. What really gets us, though, are <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2008/07/linkdollstuff_cs_0714.jpg">all the mini accessories</a> that come along with this crocheted wonder, like the Hylian Shield, the Master Sword, the Lon Lon Milk, and (last but not least) the ocarina. <br /><br />Artoo1121 is also working on a Zelda to match up with Link, which will be impressive if it even comes out half as nice. You can also check out <a href="http://flickr.com/photos/geekcentralstation/">her Flickr set here</a> to see more pictures of this craft if you happen to like it as much as we do.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://technabob.com/blog/2008/07/14/link-knit-amigurumi-cuter-than-kittens/">Technabob</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/link-makes-an-epically-cute-craft/">Link makes an epically cute craft</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Jul 2008 23:00:00 EST. To go along with the June 26 release of the new DS version of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/nis-announces-disgaea-delay-releases-english-trailer/"><em>Disgaea</em></a>, Nippon Ichi is doing what they do best (next to making ridiculously hardcore SRPGs for crazy people): making adorable plush dolls. The latest, available on June 20, is a representation of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prinny">Prinny Kurtis</a>, a green, angry-looking Prinny whose human form also appears in the game.<br />
<br />
Kurtis will sell from NIS's Japanese shop for 2,980 yen ($27.88), and <em>probably</em> won't blow up upon arrival. NIS America has a lovely <a href="http://rosenqueen.com/">online store</a> with lots of great promo products as well, so we think we can look forward to domestic availability.<br />

<br />Because we're all massive, shameless nerds here at Fanboy Towers, we like to bang on about gaming merchandise, be it <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/11/these-game-boy-plushies-smile-back-at-you/">plushes</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/27/phantom-hourglass-gashapon-does-not-help-our-financial-situation/">gashapon</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/16/its-a-nice-looking-soundtrack-cd/">game soundtracks</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/16/skull-kid-figurine-makes-fans-swoon/">figurines</a>, or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/18/a-slime-inflates/">inflatable Slimes</a>. We're not feigning enthusiasm for much of this, either -- our cluttered shelves are a testament to our love for non-game gaming items. We accept that so much of it is pointless, yet we find the desire to own <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/30/an-important-phoenix-wright-plush-update/">a plush in the shape of a cartoon lawyer</a> is not one that can be resisted by most mortal men.<br /><br />Are you similarly hooked on gaming merchandise? There's been a disturbing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/07/get-peaceful-with-harvest-moon/">lack of</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/09/first-look-at-wiis-harvest-moon/">press</a> about <em>Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility</em>. In fact, we've probably seen and heard more about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/06/rune-factory-frontier-produces-screens-website/"><em>Rune Factory: Frontier</em></a> than we have about <em>Tree</em>, which came out in Japan last year.<br /><br />What we <em>do</em> know is that preordering the title through Amazon will get you an adorable cow plushie. Of course, it's difficult to tell when you'll actually receive the game and plush doll; Natsume lists "Summer 2008," Gamestop lists late July, Gamefly lists early August, and Amazon lists late August, to name a few of the scattered release dates. <br /><br />Still, for <em>Harvest Moon</em> fans who were planning to buy the game anyway, a cute cow plush is a nice bonus that might make preordering through Amazon the best way to go. It's certainly not the greatest gift ever, but we think it will definitely appeal to the <em>Harvest Moon</em> crowd ... mostly because we're in that crowd, and we want one for ourselves.<br /><br />

<p><br />Judging by her <a href="http://violetlunchell.deviantart.com/gallery/">gallery</a>, DeviantARTist VioletLunchell seems to specialize in these chibi-style plushes, and her latest piece of work, this Pit plushie, will resonate with anyone who found themselves turned off by the recent batch of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/09/kid-icarus-to-smolder-with-generic-rage/">alleged concept art</a> for the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/08/ign-pretty-much-confirms-kid-icarus/">alleged Wii game</a>.<br /></p>
<p>The artist herself confesses to "[not knowing] anything about video games," but she's done a fairly awesome job here -- this blogger would love one of these to place next to his numerous Pikmin plushes, but sadly this was a one-off commission piece. Probably a good thing, really. There comes a time when a man of 28 really has enough plushes.<br /><br />[Thanks, YaYaLuvsCupcakes!]</p>

Sure, this <a href="http://www.albotas.com/2008/05/pit-plushie/">Pit plushie</a> is adorable, but it has <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_%28Final_Fantasy_VII%29#Mako_as_an_energy_source">Mako eyes</a>, and we're afraid the negative effects Mr. <em>Kid Icarus</em> has had from flying too close to Shinra. Stupid plushies, with their cute little faces and soft, fuzzy bodies. <em>Ugh</em>. Hate 'em! What's there to like about squishable little animals anyway? You know what we need? <em>Uncute</em> plushies. Thankfully, someone is on the cutting edge, ready with the future of stuffed toys. <em>Resident Evil</em> fans, pay attention, for we present: the zombie dog plush, courtesy of mjrahabim's Etsy marketplace. On one site, it's a cute little puppy. On the other? <em>A skeletal undead killing machine</em>. It's dual use! Each puppy is custom-made (which means they may vary from plush to plush) for $25.<br /><br />And it still manages to be cute. <em>Dammit</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/05/because-regular-plushies-are-way-too-cute/">Because regular plushies are way too cute</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 05 Apr 2008 20:00:00 EST. Gamestop can be so cruel to our wallets. We try to resist their silly preorder bonuses that come with games, but at times it's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/03/preorder-phoenix-wright-pick-up-plush/">too</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/28/sword-stylus-comes-with-ninja-gaiden-preorder/">hard</a> to ignore the temptation.<br />
<br />
The most recent battle of wills comes with Gamestop's bonus for <em>Harvest Moon DS Cute.</em> If you couldn't tell from the picture above, it's a plush cat! That may not seem like a big deal for many of you -- after all, what's another cheap stuffed animal? -- but here at DS Fanboy, we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/08/ds-daily-localization-blues/"><em>love</em></a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/07/friday-video-black-cat-vs-master-hand/">cats</a> (especially the "lol" kind). Maybe not as much as we love pugs, but we digress.<br />
<br />
We like the <em>Harvest Moon</em> series anyway, so normally preordering this game wouldn't be an issue. Yet, since two<em> Harvest Moon</em> games are coming out pretty close to each other, we were hoping to spend our money on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/04/2008s-biggest-blips-harvest-moon-island-of-happiness/"><em>Island of Happiness</em></a> instead. <em>Cute</em> is essentially the same game as <em>Harvest Moon DS</em>, except that the main character is a girl rather than a boy (plus, a few other <em>minor</em> additions). <em>Island of Happiness</em>, on the other hand, is a completely new game with a <em>Lost in Blue</em> meets <em>Harvest Moon</em> concept.<br />
<br />
We probably won't waver in our decision to stick with <em>Island of Happiness</em>, but if you're a fan of the franchise and haven't played <em>Harvest Moon DS</em> yet, this preorder bonus might make the purchase a worthwhile one.<br />

Do you love your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/game-boy/">Game Boy</a> so much that you just want to hug it to death? Then perhaps instead of a game system, you should have a plushie. These cute little handheld dolls also have sweet little facial expressions, making them all the more lovable.<br /><br />The best thing about <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=41407">KungFuCowgirl's</a> Etsy creations is that they're not ridiculously overpriced. They only cost $14 a pop, which is very reasonable for something handmade. We love craftsters, but we always appreciate them more when they don't exploit our gaming love for everything it's worth.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://technabob.com/blog/2008/03/10/gameboy-plush-toys-have-got-personality/">Technabob</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/11/these-game-boy-plushies-smile-back-at-you/">These Game Boy plushies smile back at you</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Mar 2008 22:30:00 EST. Craftster user cristasaurus started to make a plush doll, but discarded the body when she was dissatisfied with it. Left with just a <em>ridiculously cute</em> plush head (with an expression commensurate with having your body thrown out), she did the <em>humane</em> thing and turned the unfinished project into a great DS <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/case/">case</a>.<br /><br />What this little critter lacks in, uh, torsos and appendages, it makes up for in DS-shaped cavities -- cristasaurus is lucky to have made a doll with a head roughly the size of a DS Lite. And stuffed with fleecy material, the little guy remains huggable.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/05/plush-destruction-begets-adorableness/">Plush destruction begets adorableness</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 05 Feb 2008 22:30:00 EST. Not only can you throw this Wiimote at your television as hard as you want, but you can go ahead and spike the whole damn Wii into it. That's because <a href="http://kickass-peanut.deviantart.com/art/Wii-Plush-Edition-74828290">Kickass-Peanut's</a> custom Wii uses futuristic "actually being a plush toy and not really a Wii at all" technology.<br /><br />We think we might like <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20070710074928/http://nfg.2y.net/zumi/">plush game consoles</a> more than the real ones. They're absolutely superior in every way except for playing video games. For some reason, we feel like we're more impressed with Kickass-Peanut's achievement of a Wiimote filled with fluff than we are with Nintendo's Wiimote filled with circuits and junk. <br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/21/a-more-tv-friendly-wii/">A more TV-friendly Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 21 Jan 2008 12:00:00 EST. Eyes5, the <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Metroid/">Metroid</a>-</em>obsessed crafter who <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/24/pax-07-the-last-metroid-is-a-hat-the-universe-is-at-peace/">displayed her wonderful Metroid hat</a> at this year's Penny Arcade Expo, has created another lovably soft tribute to everyone's favorite floating head-eaters (and <em>Super Metroid</em> deus ex machina). Her plush Metroids are so delightfully colorful and cute that you'll forget that <em>God those things are so freaking annoying in the first game especially when you're already kind of low on missiles</em>.<br /><br />But this isn't just a gallery of awesome crafts. Eyes5 kindly wrote up an <em>intensely</em> detailed tutorial for making these monstrous effigies, so anyone with access to a sewing machine and willingness to enter Jo-Ann's Fabrics can make their own little beastie. It'd be the perfect gag gift for Samus Aran's birthday, if we knew when that was and she existed!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/10/next-a-papier-mache-ice-beam/">Next, a papier-mache Ice Beam</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jan 2008 11:15:00 EST. This raving rabbid plush was made by reader Michael as a Christmas present for his friend Pam (<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7683567@N06/sets/72157603630025161/">gallery</a>). He says it's only his second attempt at making a plush, but we're still impressed - in fact, dare we say, 'dah!' Check out this awesome rabbid plush, made by reader Michael Karpinski. As big fans of the rabbids (even if we don't always love <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/rayman-raving-rabbids-2/">the games</a>), we were excited to see such an awesomely made plushie doll in their likeness. <br /><br />What we love even more is this picture of a cat hugging the rabbid, not only because we love cute or funny cat pictures (which we do), but because it makes the expression on the plush's face all the more fitting.<br /><br />To see the full greatness of this plush when it's not obscured by cat arms, make sure to check after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/04/bunny-fact-35-rabbids-dont-like-cats/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Bunny fact #35: Rabbids don't like cats</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/04/bunny-fact-35-rabbids-dont-like-cats/">Bunny fact #35: Rabbids don't like cats</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 04 Jan 2008 12:00:00 EST. <br />Spring cleaning must be a real hoot at Brett Martin's house. The Nintendo fan describes the picture above as "just a portion" of what is the most comprehensive collection of Nintendo merchandise we've ever clapped eyes on. Perhaps even more impressively, this vast pile of swag has been meticulously documented over at Martin's <a href="http://www.videogamemm.com/">site</a>, <em>where you can cherry-pick the items you'd like to buy</em>. Yep, that's right: you can actually drown your own house in Kirby plushes, should you so desire.<br /><br />The occasional <em>South Park</em>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/megaman">Mega Man</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/square-enix">Square Enix</a> item aside, it's pretty much a Nintendo enthusiast's nirvana, so we advise you check out this <a href="http://videogamecollectors.com/gallery/Brett-Martin-Memorabilia-Collection">gallery</a> if you want to see the best of it.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.geekstir.com/nintendocollection.html?category=gaming/epic-nintendo-memorabilia-collection/">Geekstir</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/02/insane-collection-of-nintendo-memorabilia-can-be-yours/">Insane collection of Nintendo memorabilia can be yours</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Jan 2008 12:45:00 EST. Being one of the folks to receive their copy of <em>Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations</em> directly from Capcom, this blogger found himself receiving the game a month late and without the plush figure bonus that had been promised (in retrospect, however, that probably is a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/30/an-important-phoenix-wright-plush-update/">good thing</a>). And, what has Capcom done to correct this? They've issued out an apology.<br />
<br />
Other than the usual "we're sorry" stuff, Capcom has offered to ship out the plush separately to those who've pre-ordered the game before 10/29. Also, they're providing a coupon good for 10% off (code: <strong>PWthanksyou</strong>) at their online store. If you want to read the full apology, head past the break.<br />

Our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/12/guitar-hero-stuffie-for-wannabe-rock-stars/">wishes have come true</a>! Great! Then spare a thought for the poor saps who preordered the title online through <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/capcom/">Capcom</a>, and who are <em>still </em>waiting on their copies, despite the game being released <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/22/ds-releases-for-the-week-of-october-22nd/">over a month ago</a>.<br />
<br />
Infendo reader Andrew flagged up the problem yesterday, and it appears he's only one of many on Capcom's official message board who have been prevented from getting their law on. In fact, we can <em>totally </em>understand the grumpiness in <a href="http://www.capcom.com/BBS/showthread.php?t=21317&amp;page=1">this thread</a>, especially as it took a whole month of customers ranting just to get a faintly apologetic response from a Capcom representative. Now, Capcom has chosen to appease the baying mob with -- <em>can you guess?</em> -- yes! A 10% off coupon for its online store! You just couldn't write it any better.<br />
<br />
Capcom has since told Andrew his game has shipped, though there's still no word on the awesome Phoenix Wright <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/09/03/preorder-phoenix-wright-pick-up-plush/">plush</a> that was being dangled in front of those who preordered the game. Objection indeed, Capcom.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/29/preordering-through-capcom-a-tribulation-in-itself/">Preordering through Capcom a Tribulation in itself</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Nov 2007 19:40:00 EST. Perhaps the only thing cuter than a chocobo plush is a chocobo plus with a mage outfit. Just look at him in his little hat! We want this so badly. If only we could justify spending $25 ($30 with shipping) on a plush. Yes, yes, we know: "Too many posts about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/09/beat-portals-final-challenge-in-one-minute/"><em>Portal</em></a>", "We're sick of hearing about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/26/reminder-this-portal-pumpkin-will-probably-win-castlevania-dra/"><em>Portal</em></a>", "All you ever talk about is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/12/joystiq-podcast-020-portal-edition/"><em>Portal</em></a>", but shut up for a second, because we have some more <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/portal"><em>Portal</em></a> news to share. It seems that Valve is answering our prayers and will soon be selling the oft-adored Weighted Companion Cube in <a href="http://storefront.steampowered.com/Steam/Marketing/message/1301/">huggable plush form</a>.<br /><br />In addition to the larger stuffed version of our best friend, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/valve">Valve</a> is also working on a pair of smaller ones for hanging on rear-view mirrors. We're confused as to how there could be <em>two</em> Companion Cubes, but we'll just assume it's an illusion created by portals.<br /><br />No price, no release date, and no additional details accompany the announcement. But isn't the photo alone news enough?<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=87359">Eurogamer</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/12/official-plush-weighted-companion-cube-coming-soon/">Official plush Weighted Companion Cube coming soon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 12 Nov 2007 06:00:00 EST. Those of you in possession of the bonus plush doll have already been apprised, but we feel that it is our duty to inform the rest of the public of what we have learned.<br /><br />The doll is freaking <em>tiny. </em>We were expecting maybe five or six inches tall, somewhere around Beanie Baby size. What we got, while still adorable, is surprisingly pocket-sized. If this is not the <em>cutest</em> game-related item you've seen in a while, then we want to know what is.
