The Unreal Indie Bundle also includes a second tower defense darling, <em>Sanctum</em>, along with the first-person adventure game, <em>The Ball</em>, side-scrolling puzzler <em>Unmechanical</em>, and twin-stick shoot-'em-up <em>Waves</em>.<br /><br />Purchased individually, these games would normally set you back $79.93, making this a solid deal all around. The Unreal Indie Bundle will be available through May 6th.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/29/get-7-unreal-powered-hits-in-steams-unreal-indie-bundle/">Get 7 Unreal-powered hits in Steam's Unreal Indie Bundle</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 29 Apr 2013 22:30:00 EST. From its name alone, we would recommend putting on gloves before trying to pet this one. Thick gloves.<br /><br />The new map, Downpour, is a rain-logged jungle scene where players must radio a helicopter, turn on a fuel valve and then <em>get to the chopper</em> at the landing pad. The Spinosaurus shows up during that final sprint to the helicopter, and has a one-hit kill bite and dangerous claw attacks. The DLC includes a modified version of the Docks map, as well, and developer Lukewarm Media promises more maps in the future.<br /><br />The Spinosaurus will be available later this month as a paid skin for Team Deathmatch. Get to the Chopper was initially scheduled to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/15/primal-carnage-adds-free-mode-map-later-this-month/">launch in November</a>, but hey, it's not like these guys <em>already had</em> a helicopter.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage-get-to-the-chopper-dlc/">Primal Carnage (Get to the Chopper DLC)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage-get-to-the-chopper-dlc/#5588774"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/bridgeclean_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage-get-to-the-chopper-dlc/#5588775"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/chopperclean_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage-get-to-the-chopper-dlc/#5588776"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/riverclean_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/22/free-primal-carnage-dlc-get-to-the-chopper-rushes-to-steam-tod/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Free Primal Carnage DLC, Get to the Chopper, rushes to Steam today</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/22/free-primal-carnage-dlc-get-to-the-chopper-rushes-to-steam-tod/">Free Primal Carnage DLC, Get to the Chopper, rushes to Steam today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 22 Jan 2013 17:00:00 EST. The game will add a new objective-based mode called "Get to the Chopper" and a new map. Publisher Reverb notes this is the "first of many planned game updates." There is also an alternative character skin pack planned for later this month, but that'll cost an unannounced arm and/or leg... maybe just a pinky.<br /><br />"Our goal with <em>Primal Carnage</em> was to make the best dinosaur video game to date, and according to the reviews, we've done just that - but we are <em>far</em> from done," said lead designer Ashton Anderson of Lukewarm Media.<br /><br />We noted in our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/05/primal-carnage-review/">review</a> for <em>Primal Carnage</em> the game "could become a better beast with updates, but at launch it's missing some key elements and polish."<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/">Primal Carnage</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/#5412575"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/primal001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/#5412576"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/primal002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/#5412577"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/primal003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/#5412578"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/primal004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/primal-carnage/#5412579"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/primal005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/15/primal-carnage-adds-free-mode-map-later-this-month/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Primal Carnage adds free mode, map later this month</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/15/primal-carnage-adds-free-mode-map-later-this-month/">Primal Carnage adds free mode, map later this month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Nov 2012 20:30:00 EST. If the game industry had evolved differently, maybe made that left turn at Turok, that's what we might have uttered when <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/Primal-Carnage/">Primal Carnage</a></em> was first revealed. With a few exceptions, however, the mash-up of dinosaur and man at war has mostly eluded the video game industry.<br /><br />Having the foresight to predict what <em>should be</em> the "next big thing," developer Lukewarm Media has delivered its first game, <em>Primal Carnage</em>, under Reverb Publishing. And if you want to be the prettiest raptor of them all, a pre-order will get you just that.<br /><br />Plunking down cash now will not only net you the pretty feathered raptor above in-game, it'll also get you a Steam key for instant access to the ongoing closed beta. Sorry, no flamboyant raptors in the beta.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/01/primal-carnage-pre-order-lets-you-play-as-a-fine-feathered-raptor/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Primal Carnage pre-order lets you play as a fine feathered raptor</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/01/primal-carnage-pre-order-lets-you-play-as-a-fine-feathered-raptor/">Primal Carnage pre-order lets you play as a fine feathered raptor</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 01 Sep 2012 12:00:00 EST. This look at the game's humans vs. dinosaurs multiplayer combat highlights two of the playable classes that will be available when the game eventually launches: Velociraptors and Trappers.<br /><br />As you might guess, Velociraptor gameplay involves a lot of running, climbing and pouncing on squishy humans and their delicious organs, while Trapper gameplay is focused on disabling dinos with nets and then stabbing them with big ol' knives. The Trapper also has two sizable pistols at his disposal, which may or may not be a match for the adorable "Skreee!" sound the raptors make while pouncing.<br /><br />If your inner child is throwing wild fits, placate them by signing up for <a href="http://www.primalcarnage.com/website/beta">the forthcoming beta</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/25/primal-carnage-shows-off-its-raptors-and-trappers/">Primal Carnage shows off its raptors and trappers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 25 Aug 2012 16:30:00 EST. The human mercenary classes include the scientist (sniper), pathfinder (scout), commando (heavy), trapper (engineer) and pyro (pyro). The dinosaurs range from T-rexes to the flying Pteranodon, each with their own specialties. Humans are played from a first-person perspective, while dinos are third-person.<br /><br /><em>Primal Carnage</em> is set to launch on PC later this year. It comes from Reverb Publishing and developer Lukewarm Media, an up-and-coming independent studio behind the Crysis mod <em>Light Spire: Fortune's Web</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/11/primal-carnage-asks-how-you-like-your-dinosaur-cooked/">Primal Carnage asks how you like your dinosaur cooked</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Jul 2012 00:30:00 EST.
