Even though no one outside of Japan knows <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/10/no-concrete-date-for-wii-ware-launch-says-nintendo/">when to expect Wii Ware</a>, the game service has had quite a few interesting titles announced for it. But, what game or games are <em>you</em> most excited about?<br /><br />Let's give it a little rundown, shall we? We have a pretty looking spin-off <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/crystal-chronicles/">from Square-Enix</a>, a few <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/15/telltale-wont-tell-about-sam-and-max/">possible</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/25/wii-ware-gets-some-naughty-dogs/">adventure</a> titles, a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/01/eternitys-child-settles-on-wii-ware/">platformer</a>, some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/25/pop-on-wii-ware-looks-cooler-than-we-thought/">puzzle</a> games (including <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/13/wii-warm-up-dr-mariod/">a beloved classic</a>), a unique <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/06/butterflies-flutter-onto-wii-ware/">butterfly simulation</a>, something currently called <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/09/project-bang-announced-to-hit-wii-ware/"><em>Project Bang!</em></a> -- oh, and then there's the one with the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/10/new-channel-blowout-everybodys-nintendo-mii-contest-and-more/">Pokemon</a>. We haven't even mentioned the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/10/slew-of-new-titles-announced-for-wii-ware/">slew of others</a> that came with Wii Ware's original announcement, and then there may even be some that we've forgotten.<br /><br />We know you have to be <em>at least</em> a little bit excited for Wii Ware. So, tell us -- which games most strike your fancy?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/09/wii-warm-up-wii-ware-progress-report/">Wii Warm Up: Wii Ware progress report</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 09 Feb 2008 10:30:00 EST. Following <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/09/project-bang-announced-to-hit-wii-ware/">yesterday's news</a> of developer Engine Software's <em>Project Bang!</em> being the next title to hit Wii Ware, many were wondering what was up with the blurb about Wii Ware launching in March of this year. Personally, we'd like to see the service launch in March. It's as good a time as any for us.<br /><br />But, Nintendo isn't willing to confirm or deny that is the launch window for their download service. "Nintendo has not made any official announcement regarding the launch of the WiiWare service," Nintendo commented. So, with no news on what exactly <em>Project Bang!</em> is and no solid launch date for Nintendo's service, we're left where we started. And that place is desperately waiting for the day we can download <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/10/slew-of-new-titles-announced-for-wii-ware/"><em>Dr. Mario</em></a> on our Wii.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=33056">Go Nintendo</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/10/no-concrete-date-for-wii-ware-launch-says-nintendo/">No concrete date for Wii Ware launch, says Nintendo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jan 2008 12:00:00 EST. According to Engine, the service is scheduled to launch this March, <a href="http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=32001">GamesIndustry.biz reports.</a> <br /></div>
<br />Engine Software, who acquired a Wii Developer's License this past October, is currently working on a casual title for release on WiiWare. Entitled <em>Project Bang</em>, the game uses the Wii remote functionality and features one or two-player gameplay. It's a bit bizarre to have a developer so flippantly reveal the launch date of a platform, so we'll wait for word from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/nintendo">Nintendo</a> before calling this thing official.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/10/wiiware-launching-in-march-according-to-developer/">WiiWare launching in March, according to developer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 10 Jan 2008 08:00:00 EST. Netherlands-based developer Engine Software, however, broke the silence by announcing a new game for the service. Temporarily titled <span style="font-style: italic;">Project Bang!</span>, we don't know much about the game, but we <em>do</em> know it will support motion controls and include a two-player battle mode. <br /><br />Engine Software is the developer that coded the DS version of <span style="font-style: italic;">Puzzle Quest</span>, which can be a good or bad thing. <span style="font-style: italic;">Puzzle Quest</span> is one of the most addicting games for the DS to date, but the game was very buggy. Since the company was hired by developer 1st Software to work on the game (in other words, they didn't come up with the concept for <span style="font-style: italic;">Puzzle Quest</span>, just the coding), Engine Software was at least partly responsible for those glitches. That doesn't mean this new Wii Ware title will have the same problems, of course, but it's worth noting. <br /><br />Since we have no idea what kind of game <span style="font-style: italic;">Project Bang!</span> is, we hope to see some more details emerge soon.<br /><br />[<font color="red">Update:</font> The press release states that Wii Ware is scheduled to launch in March 2008. We haven't heard anything tangible from Nintendo yet as far as a launch date for the service in the US, so is this a possible slip up on Engine Software's part, or are they referring to the Japanese launch? Probably the latter, but we'll keep you updated as we hear more.]<br /><br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/09/project-bang-announced-to-hit-wii-ware/">Project Bang! announced to hit Wii Ware [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Jan 2008 14:15:00 EST.
